Enjoy the Ride -- For The Paper Shelter

It's Wednesday, and a new challenge starts today over on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog.  Challenges run for a week and have a theme.  This weeks theme is 'Going Dotty'.  You don't have to use a Paper Shelter image, but if you do, and your card is chosen as the winner, you'll be awarded a $30 gift certificate!

'Going Dotty' -- what a fun theme!  I had a great time with this one!  I found a wonderful image that I thought would lend itself to papers with dots -- here's YMMV:

I colored YMMV with a combination of Spectrum Noir Triblend Brush markers and Copic markers.  The sentiment is computer generated.  The banner dies are from Crafter's Companion, while the stitched heart die is from Lawn Fawn.

All The dotted papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are from the Dotted Swiss Collection.

'Going Dotty' -- I hope you join us at The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog with your dotty creations this week!  I'd love to see what you create, and we've got wonderful prizes you could win!

Ladybug Daisy -- for Bugaboo Stamps

It's Sunday, and Stella is telling us it's time for another sketch Challenge over on the Catch the Bug Blog.  Yes, it's Stella Says Sketch time!  This challenge will run for the next 2 weeks.

I'll show you my card first, then the sketch.

This card uses the Bugaboo Stamps digital image, Ladybug Daisy.  I colored Ladybug Daisy with Copic markers.

Here's the sketch for the current Stella Says Sketch challenge over on Catch the Bug:

As you can see, I followed that sketch almost exactly.  I even put the image in the same place, because I thought I would like all that white space.  Then, of course, I had to try to fill it, so I added some sequins.

The papers are from Crafter's Companion, and the sentiment is from a stamp set I've had for a long, long time. It's from Simon Says Stamp.

I hope you can join us over at Catch the Bug Challenges for our Stella Says Sketch Challenge. I'd love to see your take on the sketch, and Bugaboo Stamps has such generous prizes!

This week, the freebie is Sunbonnet Beach:

I colored Sunbonnet Beach with Copic markers, then cut her out with a stitched circle die by Crafter's Companion.  The sentiment is computer generated.

You Make Me Happy -- a New Release for All Dressed Up Stamps

It's the 22nd of the month -- one of the days that the All Dressed Up Stamps design team showcases this month's new releases.  I love any opportunity to color up these darling images! You'll find this month's new releases, and all the wonderful art of Wendy Burns in the All Dressed Up Stamps Etsy Shop

This month, I had the fun of designing with Summer Fairy.  She is an absolute delight!

I colored Summer Fairy with Copic markers.  The stamp is by Crafter's Companion, and I was VERY disappointed with how it stamped! The papers on the card are digital, and are from AMB Illustrations.

You'll find more inspiration for this, and the other new releases (there are 3 this month), in the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook Group, and on the All Dressed Up Stamps Blog. You'll also find challenges both places.  Pick up this adorable Summer Fairy, color her up, and join the challenges!

Floral Butterfly Thank You -- for Bugaboo Stamps

It's Saturday, and there is a new Anything Goes Challenge starting over on the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog.  It will run for the next 2 weeks.

I have a thing about coloring with pencils on Kraft paper.  I love the look of it, and whenever I color with pencils, I almost always print the image on Kraft.  That's exactly what I did today.

This Floral Butterfly Thank You comes with 2 versions -- this one, and a plain one without a sentiment.

I used Spectrum Noir Colorblend pencils on this, and Crafter's Companion papers. The butterfly die is also from Crafter's Companion.

I hope you are able to link up over on the Catch The Bug Blog for our Anything Goes Challenge.  I'd love to see what you create!

Have a Spec-tacular Birthday! For Paper ala Mode Challenges

It's Saturday, and that's time for a new challenge at The Outlawz!  At Paper ala Mode Challenges, that is! The challenge will run for 2 weeks, and is once again sponsored by the awesome We Are 3 Digital Shop.  Woot Woot!  For the next 2 weeks, the challenge theme is "For the Boys".

Bonnie has so many incredible sentiments, digital printables and digital papers in her We Are 3 Digital Shop that fit this theme.  Take a visit and see what you can find, then join us at the Paper ala Mode Challenges

I'm a bird lover, so when I saw the fantastic owl in the Woodland Animals Printables, I knew exactly what I wanted to create for this challenge:

There are 4 printables in the Woodland Animals set, all of them work equally well for masculine projects.  The papers on this card are from the Trees Paper Collection.  The fun sentiment is from the Masculine Sentiment Set, printed on a tag from Impression Obsession.  I added the glasses to the owl with a set of dies from Impression Obsession, purchased at the Dies R Us Store

I hope you can join us for the Paper ala Mode challenge these next 2 weeks.  You could win a fantastic gift certificate from the We Are 3 Digital Shop

Happy Rose Day -- For The Paper Shelter

It's Wednesday, and that means a new challenge is underway at The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog!  The challenge will run for a week, and the theme is 'Digital'.  Use a digital image, digital paper, sentiment, or all of the above.  We'd love to see a Paper Shelter image used, and if you're chosen as the winner of the challenge, you'll get an awesome $30 gift certificate to spend in The Paper Shelter Store!  Wow!

The Paper Shelter has such awesome products that I had trouble deciding what to color up for today's challenge.  Since the first day of summer is soon upon us, I decided on Rose...

Rose has flowers, butterflies, plus skin and hair -- everything I like in an image!  So, she was pure pleasure for me to color with my Copic markers.

I modified a sketch a saw at Sketch Saturday to create this card.  The bit of designer paper is a pad from Crafter's Companion.  The butterflies are cut out of the same pad.  All the dies are also from Crafter's Companion.  The sentiment is a stamp from Close To My Heart.

I hope you can join us this week at The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog for our 'Digital' Challenge.  I'd love to see your creations, and we have wonderful prizes you could win!

Magical Moments -- for Dies R Us Challenges

Life is full of magical moments when you look for them!  I'm convinced of that!  The card I made for today's Dies R Us Challenges reflects that.

There is a new challenge that starts today over on the Dies R Us Challenge Blog and it will run for the next 2 weeks. All you need to do is use a brand of die sold in the Dies R Us Store. Magically easy, right?

Are you a fan of Mary Poppins?  It was one of my favorite movies growing up, and I was so excited to see its remake a couple of years ago.  This die by Sizzix takes me right back to that movie.  It's called The Park.  I used a small portion of the dies in the set and created this...

The houses and tree on the base of the card are dies by Crafter's Companion.  The sentiment is from a clear stamp set from Molly Harrison called A Summer Day.  I stamped it on a label die by Crafter's Companion.  I used a variety of Distress Oxide Inks on the base of the card.

I hope you join our challenge these next 2 weeks at Dies R Us challenges. I'd love to see what magical creation you create!

For customers in Canada, check out the Didi Crafts Store!

Little Companion -- For Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration Blog

It's Tuesday, and it's my day to post on the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration & Challenge Blog.  I love my Tuesdays!   I love these images!  Our theme this month is Things that Fly.  You'll find many beautiful things that fly in the GJZCCK Etsy Shop

For my inspiration post today, I used the beautiful image, Little Companion to create this:

I colored Little Companion with Copic markers.  I cut her out with the banner shape, and backed her with the next banner with dies from Crafter's Companion.  The peacock papers are also from Crafter's Companion.  The 'Hello' die and feather die are from my stash.

I hope you can join our challenge, and I hope you check out the inspiration on the CCK Inspiration & Challenge Blog often. Visit the CCK Facebook group, too.  You'll find another challenge, and tons of inspiration there.

Field of Flowers -- For Bugaboo Stamps

It's Friday -- and that means it's Freebie Friday at Bugaboo Stamps! You'll find the link to this week's freebie, plus awesome inspiration, over on the Catch the Bug Blog

Today's image is part of a set called Mini Set - Flowers, in case you miss the freebie, but still want the design. There are 7 flower designs in the set, including this one:

I colored Mini Set - Flowers with Copic markers. I cut it out with a square stitched die from The Scrapping Cottage, and cut out the same die in a pearlescent yardstick for some contrast.  I computer generated the sentiment right into the stamp design.  The background paper is from my stash.   The flowers are from Prima.

That's my inspiration with today's freebie, Mini Set - Flowers.  Visit the Catch the Bug Blog for awesome inspiration, and a new Stella Says Sketch Challenge beginning on Sunday.

Purple Dragonfly -- For Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration Blog

It's Tuesday, and I'm posting today for the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge blog. I love my days to post there, because I so enjoy coloring up the beautiful images!  Our challenge theme this month is Things that Fly.  With that theme in mind, I found a beautiful image in the GJZCCK Etsy shop called Purple Dragonfly.

I colored Purple Dragonfly with Copic markers.  Those wings were so much fun to color!

That filigreed bordered frame is a die by Crafter's Companion.  The dragonfly is a die by Cheery Lynn (one of my favorites).

Books are Magic -- For Lil Patch of Crafty Friends

It's the 1st Sunday of the month, and it's time for a new challenge at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends. The challenges are always Anything Goes, and it will run for 2 weeks.  For the next 2 weeks, we have the awesome sponsor, Ching-Chou Kuik!  I adore the art of Ching-Chou Kuik,  so it was pure pleasure for me to "work" with these images.  Besides, I was just waiting for an excuse to color up this particular image that I received.  This is Lil Bookworm Fairy

I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite CCK image out of all of them I've collected, but this would surely be in the top 5.  I am an avid book reader, so it tugs at my heart.

I colored Lil Bookworm Fairy with Copic markers.  I cut her and and backed her with dies by Spellbinders, inking around the outside of the die with Wisteria ink by Close To My Heart.  The background paper is by Crafter's Companion.  The sentiment was computer generated.  The crinkle ribbon was from my stash. The tiny cat die is from my stash, but I believe it originates from a Crafter's Companion Advent set.

I hope you are able to join our Anything Goes Challenge at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends.  I'd love to see your creations, and you could win a wonderful prize from Ching-Chou Kuik, and pick wonderful digis, like this one!

Happy Birthday, with feeling! For The Paper Shelter

Today is an exciting day for me!  It's my first day posting for The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog.  The Paper Shelter has a new challenge that starts every Wednesday.  The challenge has an easy to accomplish theme.  Prizes are very generous, and even more amazing if you use a Paper Shelter image.  So, check out the awesome Paper Shelter store, and color up an image, or use the pre-colored option and create a card for this week's theme -- Birthday!  I'm on team B, so will be posting every other week, but I'm super excited about this adventure!

Birthdays!  They should include friends, family, favorite foods, and in my opinion, music!  So, with that in mind, I colored up the most adorable The Saxophonist image.  The amazing thing about The Paper Shelter products is that they come with a black & white version (used here), a pre-colored version, one matching paper, and one composition.  That's a lot of bang for your buck!

I colored The Saxophonist with Copic markers.  I bet you can guess what tune he's playing on his saxophone, can't you?  After all, this is a birthday card!

I used nesting dies and a banner die by Crafter's Companion on this card.  The 'Happy Birthday' stamp is also from Crafter's Companion.  The musical notes are dies from Spellbinders.

The background paper on this card is from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  It is one of the papers in the Tones of Gray set

I hope you can join The Paper Shelter Challenge this week for our Birthday themed challenge.  I'd love to see what you create, and we have incredible prizes you could win -- like this The Saxophonist image!

It's the first of the month, and that means there's a new challenge getting underway today over on the SheepSki Designs Challenge Blog.  Challenges run the whole month, and have a theme.  This month, the theme is 'Layer it Up'.  Using a SheepSki Designs image isn't a requirement, but we sure like to see them!

Layer it up!  That's kind of an Anything Goes theme.  You can use any image you want, just add a few layers, and you're good to go.  You'll find many wonderful SheepSki Designs images in the SheepSki Designs Etsy Shop  that will fit this theme and any occasion.  Check it out!

I've been wanting to color up the truly lovely Butterfly Hair and used this challenge and my reason to do so.  Here's what I created...

Little guyz and water -- they go hand in hand.  So, with that in mind, I colored up the darling Little Fishes and created this....

I colored Little Fishes with a combination of Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and Copic markers.  I made the waves by using Lawn Fawn stitched wavy border dies and papers from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are the Under the Sea papers. The sentiment is computer generated and printed on a banner by Crafter's Companion.  The sailboat is a die, also by Crafter's Companion.
