Bee-utiful -- for Catch the Bug Challenges

It's Saturday -- the first Saturday of the month, and that means it's time for an Anything Goes Challenge at Catch the Bug!  Bugaboo images are not required, but we'd love to see them!

For this Anything Goes Catch the Bug Challenge, I used the Bugaboo Stamps digi, Bugaboo Bee 3 to create this:

I colored Bugaboo Bee 3 with Copic markers.  Papers on this card are from Honey Bee Stamps.  The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.  The stitched circle dies are from Lawn Fawn.  The bee die was a freebie from a magazine subscription long ago, and I'm finally remembering to use it!  The cloud die is an oldie, from American Crafts.  I used a past sketch from Sketch Saturday to help me construct the card.

An Anything Goes Challenge at Catch the Bug!  What could be better?  Come join the fun!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Warm Wishes -- We Are 3 New Release time!!

If you follow my blog at all, you know I primarily work with digi stamps and digi papers.  Well, I just started on the We Are 3 design team.  How fun is that!

There is a new release at We Are 3.  There are multiple parts to it -- paper, sentiments, pre-printed and black & white digis, lots of FUN!  It's called At the Beach.  I have a few projects using the new release that will be on my blog in the desk few days.  Today, I have a card for you:

This card uses the new At the Beach digital papers, found at the We Are 3 Etsy Shop, and the new digital sentiments, Sending You.

I used 4 of the papers from the At the Beach paper pack (there are 8 in the set), and 1 of the sentiments (there are a variety in JPG and PNG).

The biking die is from Simon Says Stamp.  The cloud die is from American Crafts.  The copper glimmer trim is from Close To My Heart.

I hope you enjoy these At the Beach papers and pick them up at the We Are 3 Digital Shop.  Take a look around -- there are so many great things to shop for while you are there!  There's also a We Are 3 Facebook Group to check out that's jam-packed with great inspiration!

After the Rain -- for Imagine That! Digistamp

April 15?  Already?  Do I say this every month, LOL?  Today, it's time for some mid-month inspiration over at the Imagine That! Digistamp Creative Playground. The current challenge goes until May 5, so there's lots of time.  If you use an Imagine That! Digistamp image, you can win the Rainy Day Fun set (I used one of the images and one of the sentiments on this card) for FREE!

Here's my inspiration!

I used one of the black & white images from the Rainy Day Fun set (the 2 birds), and one of the pre-printed images from the set (the puddle), along with a sentiment, to create the focal point of this card.  The birds are colored with Copic markers.  The sun-shaped card in an SVG cutting file from The Cutting Cafe.  I used some thin washi tape on the rays of the sun so give it a bit of extra sparkle and shine.  The cloud die is from American Crafts, with some pen work added to match the puddle.

I love this sentiment from the Rainy Day Fun set.  It keeps me going on some of my "low" days.  I had a bone marrow biopsy (major ouch!) on Thursday, and now I'm waiting for the results.  The test was needed to prove that I am for sure in remission -- that there is no longer cancer in my bone marrow and spinal fluid.  Prayers are appreciated!  I should know the results some time this upcoming week.

If you celebrate Easter, have a blessed day.  For me, this one will be particularly special, a day of re-birth and truly starting over.  I'm excited!  He has given me new life!

I hope you join the Imagine That! Digistamp's challenge this month at the Creative Playground.  I'd love for you to have a chance to win this set. I'd also love to see what you make!  Check out the wonderful Facebook group too, for even more inspiration, news, and fun!

It's New Release week at Crafty Sentiments Designs.  You'll want to visit the Crafty Sentiments Inspirations blog each day starting Tuesday through Friday to see them all.  Then, head to the Crafty Sentiments Designs store on Saturday to do some shopping of the new releases!

Today, I introduce you to the rubber stamp, 'Josh - The Catch':

I colored 'Josh - The Catch' with Copic markers, then used a Spellbinders die to cut it out and back it. The card base is a Sizzix die.  The fishing elements were cut out on my Silhouette Cameo.

Designer papers for this card and the card stock base are from Close To My Heart.   The sentiment is from Joy's Life 'Pun in the Sun' set.  I stamped it on a cloud die from American Crafts.

This rubber stamp, 'Josh - The Catch' was pure joy to color.  I hope you enjoyed today's card and will visit the Crafty Sentiments Store to pick it up for yourself!

Life's Hard - Eat Ice Cream! for Imagine That! Digis by Kris

Happy Saturday!  I hope life isn't too hard for you, but you still have my permission to eat ice cream, or gelato, or whatever your favorite iced concoction is!

I'm posting today for Imagine That! Digis by Kris.  Kris recently offered an ice cream freebie file in the Imagine That! digistamp Facebook Group.  I decided to take advantage of her generosity and create something with one of the ice cream cones in the free file:

I created this as a shaped card so it can also be entered in the shaped card challenge going on over in the Imagine That! Creative Playground.

I paper pieced the ice cream cone, using digi papers from the Ice Cream Parlour Digi Paper Pack.  I used 5 of the papers in this pack on this card.  I love how they all coordinate!

The sentiment is part of the Freebie set offered in the Imagine That! Digistamp Facebook group.  Look for it in the files.

I cut the card base out on my Silhouette Cameo, using a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store.  There's a Die-namics cross stitched oval die, an American Crafts label die, and some Close To My Heart Glimmer trim and card stock to complete this card.

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

I'm excited to say that I'm back for another term with Great Impressions Stamps!  I had so much fun the last 6 months that I'm giving it another whirl.  I love my Saturdays posting and stamping with Great Impressions Stamps!

I have a "thing" for Harry, the delightful hedgehog, found in the Great Impressions Stamps Store.  Today, he is riding in his own flower filled red wagon.

This card uses E875 - Harry with Daisies and B195 Playful Thinking of You.

I colored E875 - Harry with Daisies with Copic markers.  I cut the playful Thinking of You out with an American Crafts cloud die to make the card more playful.

Papers for this card are from Echo Park.  Tag die is from Craftin' Desert Divas.  Shimmer trim is from Close To My Heart.

Great Impressions Stamps is sponsoring MOD Squad challenges this week.  I used this image as inspiration for my card.

Sophie's Been Busy! for The Cutting Cafe

I'm posting today for The Cutting Cafe, where the theme of the project is "something Valentine's".  Actually, though, this is Sophie, The Golden Retriever's post.  She has a very special person in her life, and she has completed his Valentine card.  The princess can relax.

Sophie is a therapy dog.  She goes to work with me everyday in the nursing home.  She spreads more love than one can imagine.  I could tell you hours of stories of the specialness of Sophie, the lives she has touched.  She has many admirers, friends, and fans.  But she has one person whom she adores.  That person is my husband.  This card is for him.  From Sophie.  From her heart!

I, oops Sophie, used The Heart Laced Shaped Card Cutting File from The Cutting Cafe on this.  Since Sophie is called The Princess by many people, it needed some glitz and glam, so pink glitter it was -- from American Crafts!

The sentiment is stamped, using a stamp from Unity Stamp Company.  The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

We're still working on Sophie's paw print signature.  I think we'll have it nailed by February 14.  But not now.  The princess is resting.

Check out The Cutting Cafe's blog on January 7th for the other fantastic projects from this uber creative design team.  You absolutely will NOT be disappointed, and if you leave a comment on the blog, you might win 3 sets of your choice.  There are some fantastic Valentine sets to choose from!

Christmas Greetings!

It's Christmas Eve day.  My husband is at work today, I work tomorrow.  The dog is snoring quietly beside me.  We are waiting for Christmas....

I have 2 cards that I made this morning for 2 progressive challenges.  I'm going to share them together in the same post.  They are the last of the Christmas cards for this year.

The first, using a Gerda Steiner image, is for her progressive challenge.  I used her last month's progressive image, so got this one for free.  I've been participating for quite a few months now, and am trying to keep the streak going.  I love GSD artwork!

A colored Peace Santa with Copic markers, then used a variety of Lifestyle Crafts circle dies to create the card.  The designer papers are digital.  I found the map paper at Pixel Scrapper.  It was in a pirate collection.  The Santa paper is from Decosses' Dynamite Doodles.  The crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM.

The second card is for The Outlawz Progressive Challenge.  I am proud to say I managed a card each month this year.  Woot!

We started and ended the year's challenge with an All Dressed Up image.  She is so endearing!

I colored Happy Christmas, Little Star with Copic markers, then used 2 sizes of a Die-namics die to cut her out and back the image.

The card design was cut out on my Silhouette, using a cutting file from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.   Designer papers are from American Crafts, Shimelle 6x6 pad.

Merry Christmas to you and yours.  May you find peace and quiet family time together.

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Gerda Steiner's Progressive Challenge -- December
The Outlawz Progressive challenge -- December
All Dressed Up Facebook Challenge -- Stars or Snowflakes (stars)
Outlawz Twisted Thursday -- ATG (didn't use twist)

The card design was cut out on my Cricut Explore.  Papers are from American Crafts. Heart shaped dies are from Die-namics.

You Really Mooove Me! for QKR Stampede

It was a week ago today my blog disappeared.  I've still heard nothing from Google, so I guess it's gone forever.  I'm mooooooving forward.   At QKR Stampede Challenge blog this week, our theme is cows.

A cow with a pink tutu.  Isn't she moovelous?!?  This QKR Stampede digital image is 'Dancing Cow' (digi15612). The sentiment, also from QKR Stampede, is 'Mooove Me' (digi15518).  I colored the Dancing Cow with Copic markers. I used some American Crafts metallic markers to highlight the letters in the sentiment.

Papers for this card are all from Close To My Heart.  The designer papers are from a retired paper pack.  I used a number of Lifestyle Crafts circe dies to create this card, and a Die-namics stitched circle die, too.

I hope you can join us this week at QKR Stampede for our Cows themed challenge.  It's going to be FUN!

*****Please note this post has been previously published on the new blog. I am in the process of switching everything back. Thank you for your patience.*****

Perseverance {Never Give Up!}

It's Monday, and the new work week begins. Today, I had time to make a card, with the Path of Positivity Challenge blog in mind.  The theme this month is 'Perseverance'.
Do you ever set a goal, and then you don't know when it's time to give up on that dream?  I feel the need to persevere when I set a goal, and work towards it as much as I can -- learning and growing along the way.  This card represents that desire to push on, to persevere, to attempt to accomplish the goal.  Goals can be large or small, but they are satisfying to achieve, no matter what.
This image and sentiment are from Great Impressions Stamps.  They have a DT call right now.  It has been a long-time goal of mine to make this team, so I will apply again.  I will persevere!
I colored this delightful image with Derwent Inktense pencils and a water brush.
Designer Papers are from American Crafts, #Summer, 6x6 pad.  The paper behind the image and sentiment is digital paper from Lisa Decosse, of Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. It is from her textured paper pack.  The sequins are from Close To My Heart.

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Path of Positivity -- Perseverance

Choose Happy -- for The East Wind

It's Friday, and there's a new release today.  Each Monday and Friday, Unky treats us to quirky, fun images with attitude.  Today's is no exception.  Her title is "Peace".
I colored "Peace" with Copic markers.  The designer papers behind her are from American Crafts and October Afternoon.  I used a Spellbinders label die with Kraft paper for the sentiment (by Close To My Heart).  The peacock feathers are from a Spellbinders die. the tie dye crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM
You can follow me on Instagram here. I'm on The East Wind Instagram team, so I am looking for new followers.  Also check out The East Wind group on Facebook here.  It is a great group -- full of fun, talent, and tons of inspiration!

You are Fabulous! for Amy Doodle's Stamp Co.

It's Tuesday, and I'm posting for Amy Doodle's Stamp Co.  Today is a New Release -- the first Mocktail Girl.  I introduce you to Chante Champagne!

I colored Chante with Copic markers, then cut her out with a Spellbinders label die in 2 sizes.  While she was still in the die, I dabbed several colors of Tim Holtz distress ink around the edges.  The sentiment is a stamp from Unity Stamp Company.  It is also cut with a Spellbinder die. Designer Papers used are American Crafts Dear Lizzy 5th and Frolic, and I Love SCRAP Vivid 05. The corrugated silver paper is from American Crafts. The die cut flower trim is by 3 Girl JAM, and so is the Baby Pink crinkle ribbon. The paper flowers, by Reminisce, started out white.  I inked them with the same Tim Holtz inks I used around the edges of the image. All bling is from Close To My Heart
There will be more Mocktail Girls coming, by Amy Doodle Stamp Co.  Won't they be fun?

Love You!

I'm guest designing today for The Sisterhood of Crafters.  This month, I am a Step Sister!  Yea!
Our theme for the current challenge is "Sweetheart and Roses". I made the card for my sweetheart:

The rose image is from Fitztown.  It is Valentine 12. I colored it with Copic markers.  I've never had good luck with yellows before, but I think I found a blend that works for me. This is a new green combination, too.  I'm pleased with the results.
I used a Spellbinder label die in 2 sizes, some American Crafts glitter paper, My Mind's Eye designer paper, and 3 Girl JAM Simply White lace on this card. The sentiment is a Simon Says Stamp stamp.
I'll have another card later this month for the Sisterhood of Crafters.  I can't wait.  I thank Darlene Pavlick and her design team sisters for this opportunity.

Love You Beary Much -- for Amy Doodle Stamp Co.

It's Tuesday, and my day to post for the Amy Doodle Stamp Company.  For the next 2 weeks, our theme is "Valentine's Day."  Here's a cute image I used to make a Valentine card.

I used my Silhouette Cameo and made a pocket, then attached it to a card front. Inside, is the Amy Doodle Stamp Co. image, one of 4 designs from Critter Love.

I colored this "Beary" cute image with Copic markers, cut it out, punched a hole, attached some fibers, and tucked it in the pocket.  The papers used on this card are from American Crafts XOXO. Just like that, I have a Valentine's Day card.  Done!
Here's all 4 Critters in the set:

This Christmas girl is colored with Copic markers.  I used 2 different Spellbinders dies, then mounted her to a designer paper from American Crafts -- Noel 6x6 paper pad.  The card base and bling are from Close To My Heart.  The crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM.  It is from the Ribbon Candy Bundle.

I want Peace (and chocolate) for Timeless Twine

Hurray!  It's Monday!  And I get to be the first Twine-ista of 2015 to post on the Timeless Twine blog.  Since it's so early in the new year, I thought I'd share my new year's resolution with all of you.
This year, in an attempt to actually keep it for a change, I've resolved to eat MORE chocolate.  Yes.  I think I can keep this one.
This sentiment, from Unity Stamp Company, was the perfect fit for my resolution. Of course, Timeless Twine and Bella Creationz products tie the whole card together.  You'll see!

I cut the tag out on my Cricut Expression 2, using the Close To My Heart Art Philosophy cartridge on Close To My Heart Kraft card stock. Then, I stamped the Chocolate Bar sentiment. I used American Crafts Hot Cocoa 6x6 papers on this card.
The baker's twine is Cherry Red. The sequins are Clearly Beautiful Loose Mixed Sequins.

There will be a whole year of great inspiration from this year's Creative Crew so make sure to visit each day!
I'm off to eat more chocolate!

This image is from The East Wind -- one of our sponsors this week.  I love their images, so was so pleased when I got the opportunity to color this one!  I used Copic markers and some Wink of Stella glitter pens on this.
The designer papers are from BoBunny.  The glitter paper is from American Crafts.  I used 2 sizes of a Spellbinders label die to cut this out, and Cheery Lynn Snow Flower dies for the snowflakes. The card base is Close To My Heart Bamboo.
