I needed a birthday card, and 'Kangaroo Birthday' was perfect for the occasion!

I colored the kangaroo with Copic markers, then used various Spellbinders dies to create the circle-shaped card.  The sentiment is part of the set.

You are Fabulous! for Amy Doodle's Stamp Co.

It's Tuesday, and I'm posting for Amy Doodle's Stamp Co.  Today is a New Release -- the first Mocktail Girl.  I introduce you to Chante Champagne!

I colored Chante with Copic markers, then cut her out with a Spellbinders label die in 2 sizes.  While she was still in the die, I dabbed several colors of Tim Holtz distress ink around the edges.  The sentiment is a stamp from Unity Stamp Company.  It is also cut with a Spellbinder die. Designer Papers used are American Crafts Dear Lizzy 5th and Frolic, and I Love SCRAP Vivid 05. The corrugated silver paper is from American Crafts. The die cut flower trim is by 3 Girl JAM, and so is the Baby Pink crinkle ribbon. The paper flowers, by Reminisce, started out white.  I inked them with the same Tim Holtz inks I used around the edges of the image. All bling is from Close To My Heart
There will be more Mocktail Girls coming, by Amy Doodle Stamp Co.  Won't they be fun?

Love You Beary Much -- for Amy Doodle Stamp Co.

It's Tuesday, and my day to post for the Amy Doodle Stamp Company.  For the next 2 weeks, our theme is "Valentine's Day."  Here's a cute image I used to make a Valentine card.

I used my Silhouette Cameo and made a pocket, then attached it to a card front. Inside, is the Amy Doodle Stamp Co. image, one of 4 designs from Critter Love.

I colored this "Beary" cute image with Copic markers, cut it out, punched a hole, attached some fibers, and tucked it in the pocket.  The papers used on this card are from American Crafts XOXO. Just like that, I have a Valentine's Day card.  Done!
Here's all 4 Critters in the set:

Don't put those Christmas stamps and digis away just yet!  I'm posting today for Amy Doodle's Stamp Company, and our challenge this week is to use a digi in an unusual way.  So, I used a Christmas stamp and turned it into a Valentine's Day card.

This Amy Doodle's Stamp Co. digi looks like this:

With a little editing magic (cropping out the mistletoe), the birds can be used for just about any season.
I colored Mistletoe Owls with Copic markers, then used some Wink of Stella markers to add some hints of glitter.

Shine Bright! for Amy Doodle's Stamp Co.

It's Tuesday, and Christmas is edging ever closer.  This week, on the Amy Doodle Stamp Company Facebook page, we're featuring All Things Christmas. I had the absolute pleasure of working with
the stamp set, "The Light of Christmas", to create this:

The digi set comes with the image and some sentiments, all from Amy Doodle's Stamp Company.

I colored the image with Copic markers, then cut it out with a Spellbinders die.  While still in the die, I inked the edges with a couple shades of Tim Holtz distress ink.  I used another Spellbinder die for the glitter paper, and mounted the image with 3D foam tape to the glitter paper (by American Crafts).  The designer paper is "The 12 Days of Christmas" 6x6 pad from My Mind's Eye.  The gold glitter trim is from Close To My Heart, as is the die cut card base.
I hope this sentiment holds true for you this Christmas season --
May the light of Christmas shine bright in your heart!

Just Sayin' Hi! for Amy Doodle's Stamp Co.

Happy Tuesday, everyone.  I'm posting today for Amy Doodle's Stamp Company. This week, we're showcasing some adorable, just released Fall images.  Yes, it's all about "Fall Fun".

I used the digi "Rocky Raccoon." The sentiment is part of the stamp set.

I colored the image with Copic markers.  Recently, while on a walk, I came across a raccoon that had been killed by a car.  I was surprised by how much red was in the fur.  I decided to use that red fur and run with it, and make a red raccoon.  He's eating lots of red, red apples.
The background paper on this card and the chipboard apple are from Imaginisce. I used a Spellbinder label die on this card, and some burlap ribbon from Close To My Heart.
Here's the Copic colors I used on this raccoon:
eyes -- YR24
tongue -- R20
fur -- E07, E09, E19, E21, E30
Apples -- R22, R24, R27, R29
Apple core -- E50, YG01, YR01
Barrel - E70, E71, E74, E77
metal rim on barrel -- N05, N03, W07, W04, R02

Dia de los Muertos SDS Blog Hop

I'm participating today in the Snapdragon Snippets Dia de los Muertos blog hop.  In case you just stumbled on my blog, here's the hop order:
Roberta
Hello, crafty friends, and happy November!  If you live in the U.S, or a country that celebrates Halloween, I hope you survived yesterday's sugar high!  Today is another holiday -- Dia de los Muertos.  This is a first for me, but I had a great time learning about this holiday, and making a project for today's blog hop.  I always love working with Snapdragon Snippets and SVG Attic files!
Any celebration requires gifts, and gifts require gift bags, so that's what I made for today's hop:
Hola amigas creativas! feliz noviembre!

The gift bag is from SVG Attic. It's one of the Basic Gift Bag collection.  When I did some research on Dia de los Muertos, I learned marigolds are significant to the day.  I used the Snapdragon Snippets Layered Flower to portray my marigolds.
Here's a close up of the flowers...

Do they look like marigolds to you?  I inked the edges in black, to keep with the theme of the day.  You can find this file in the Silhouette Design Store.
The image is a digi stamp from Amy Doodle Stamp Co. This image is on sale this week for 50% off!
Que les parece? se asimilan a los Zempasuchitl? les añadi tinta negra en las orillas para mantener el tema del día. Ustedes pueden encontrar este diseño en la tienda de Silhouette.
La imagen digital es de Amy Doodle Stamp Co.

I colored it with Copic markers. I used several sizes of Lifestyle Crafts dies to layer circles of color behind the image.
Some Close To My Heart silver glitter tape and various ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon finish off this treat box.
I'll leave you with one more view of the treat box, before I send you off to the next stop on the hop.
Colore mi imagen con marcadores Copic. Utilice varios suajes de Lifestyle Crafts para crear los círculos que ven detras de la imagen.

This image from Amy Doodle Stamp Co. is being offered for 1/2 price for the 2 days of this blog hop.  Grab it while you can!
Snapdragon Snippets is offering 2 gift certificates to the SDS online store for $15 each.  There are also some stamp sets to be won! There are 3 mini stamp sets shipping anywhere in the world, and 3 shipping to the US. Please follow each hop participant and leave a comment on their blogs.

Fight Like a Girl! for Amy Doodle Stamp Co.

It's Tuesday, and this is turning into my day to post for the new Amy Doodle Stamp Company.  I have a more serious card to share today.  Amy made a set of 2 digis, and a portion of the sales will go the MPN Research Foundation.
Cancer has affected many people.  My mother died of a malignant brain tumor 9 years ago.  She struggled for 1 1/2 years with it.  I learned about courage, and hope, and letting go without loving less.  This card is for HER.

At one point in her treatment, all her hair fell out, and she wore a scarf just like this one -- same color, matching her blue eyes.  Later, her hair grew back, and it was super curly.  She loved it that way! It was about the only 'nice' thing that happened -- fun hair!
Here are the 2 Brave Chick stamps (1 set)...

The ribbon-shaped card is a cutting file from The Cutting Cafe.
Brave Chick was colored with Copic markers, then fussy cut.
Designer papers are from Basic Grey. The sentiment is part of the Brave Chick stamp set.
Here's the Copic colors I used:

I miss you, Mom.
Please visit the Amy Doodle Facebook page each day this week to see what this talented design team has done with this thought-provoking stamp set.

Fab Shoes! for Amy Doodle Stamp Co.

Hello, and happy Tuesday, crafty friends!  I'm super excited to be posting today as my first official post on the Amy Doodle Stamp Co. design team!  These digis are just soooo cute and fun to color!

I got together with two of my best friends for lunch yesterday and wanted to take treat boxes with some chocolate in them for a small gift.  This digi worked perfectly!

This delightful witch is called "Witchy Wilda". I colored her with Copic markers, using some unusual skin tones and hair color (unless, of course, you are a witch!) She is stylin', though, with that fab hat and those SHOES!
I cut her out on a Spellbinder die and mounted it on a treat box that I cut out on my Cricut.  I used the Cricut Close To My Heart Artiste cartridge.  The designer papers are by DCWV.  The sequins are from Simon Says Stamp. I used 3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon to tie the box together.
You'll be seeing lots more wonderful fun from Amy Doodle Stamp Company.  Check out the Facebook group, too! We have lots of fun and there's learning and encouragement going on there also.

Happy Friday, crafty friends!  Have you heard of Amy Doodle Stamp Company?  Well, you soon will!  I discovered it several weeks ago, while spending time on the Kit and Clowder Facebook Page, and I was instantly enthralled.  Amy Purdie draws the most delightful digital images!  Let me show you!

This image was a freebie I got from the Kit N Clowder Facebook Group (did I mention Amy is generous, too?)
I colored this Autumn Fairy with Copic markers, using a Wink of Stella glitter pen on her wings and on the berries in her wreath.  I sponged several colors of Tim Holtz Distress Ink around the edges of the image while it was still in the Spellbinder label die.
Papers for this card are from Close To My Heart.  Ribbon and jute are from 3 Girl JAM.  Skittles are by my friend Carri at Double Click Connections. The stickpin was made by another friend, Jess, from Pinque Peacock
