From My Heart -- for Julia Spiri

It's Thursday, and it's time for a new challenge on the Julia Spiri Challenge blog.   The challenges are always ATG with an optional theme.  This fortnight's optional theme is "Love is in the Air".  There are lots of great Julia Spiri images to use for this theme -- especially with the new release!

Here's what I did for the challenge, using 'Girl with Pigtails'...

I colored Girl with Pigtails with Copic markers, then fussy cut her out.  The card base was created with various dies from Top Dog dies.  I used my Anna Griffin Minc machine to create the glittered "From my Heart" sentiment circle.

I hope you can enter our Anything Goes with optional From the Heart challenge this next 2 weeks at Julia Spiri Challenge Blog.   We've got great prizes to win, and I'd love to see what you create!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

I have a short post to show a Christmas card I made using a Crafty Sentiments digi, Welcome Christmas

I colored Welcome Christmas with Copic markers, then used several sizes of Spellbinders circle dies to cut it out and back to.  The snowflake die is from Simon Says Stamp.  I used my new Minc machine to add the shimmer to it.   The sentiment is from Close To My Heart.

Don't Be in Such a Flurry -- for Crafty Sentiments

Happy Tuesday!  It's time for a new challenge on the Crafty Sentiments Challenge blog.   Since it's -18 degrees F. here this morning, this week's theme is perfect -- "Baby, it's cold outside".  Yes, it IS!

I'm not sure I'll be making any snow angels today, but I know my Golden Retriever, Sophie will.  She doesn't care how cold it is.  If there's snow, she's rolling.  This card is in her honor.

I made this card using rubber stamp Snow Angel, found in the Crafty Sentiments Design Store.  I colored Snow Angel with Copic markers, then fussy cut the image. The sentiment is from Joy's Life Stamps.  The card was cut out on my Silhouette Cameo, and was found in the Silhouette Design Store.  I made the snowflakes using the new Minc machine I got for Christmas -- it's great fun!  Designer paper is from Fancy Pants.

I hope you join us this week for our "Baby, it's cold outside" challenge at Crafty Sentiments Challenge blog.  When it's cold out, stay in -- and make cards!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Birthday Wishes - and a Tutorial -- for Digi Choosday

It's Tuesday, and that means Digi Choosday, with the awesome 24 hour digi code -- take advantage of this! Our theme for the next 2 weeks is Winter Blues.  It's also my turn to share a short tutorial with you.
First, the finished card:

This awesome digi is from the Twiggy & Toots Collection, found here in CD and here in Digital Download.  Just the strawberry cupcake image can be found here. I colored the cupcake image using Copic markers.  The cool blue background paper is from the Frosted Winter Octavia Collection (CD or Download). Then, the fun begins.  To make your own rainbow ribbon, follow these easy instructions:

Gather your supplies.  This technique can be done with a varieties of white ribbons.  I've used either inks or alcohol markers.  For this ribbon I wanted a "soft" look, so I chose distress inks.

Alternating every inch or so, ink your ribbon.  I cut 13 inches of ribbon for this card.  Here I am, getting started on it.

Here's the completed striped, multicolored ribbon --

One more view of the completed card, now that you know what to focus on:

The card shape was cut out on my Silhouette Cameo, using a Lori Whitlock cutting file.  The stars and circles were made with a Minc foil machine.

I hope you can join us the next 2 weeks for our Winter Blues challenge!  Our CAS challenge at Digi Choosday goes on for one more week.  Plus, don't forget about the Digi Choosday Crafting Group on Facebook.

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

May Your Day be Filled With Sunshine!

What is your definition of prosperity?  We're starting a new challenge today at the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog.  This month, the challenge theme is prosperity.  Some define prosperity as having wealth, riches. For me, I define prosperity by having a rich and full life, a life full of friends, a life spent collecting hearts and sunshine.

We have 3 wonderful sponsors this month at Path of Positivity Challenge Blog.  We're sponsored by:

The digi I used on this card is from The Stamping Boutique.   She's called "Summer Fun with Audrey".  I colored the image with Copic markers,  then used 2 sizes of a Spellbinders die to frame it.  The papers are digi papers I printed on my new color laser printer, found at Pixel Scrapper.  The foil hearts were made with my new Minc Foil machine (fun!)  The lace is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Please join us this month at Path of Positivity, and share your definition of "prosperity." I'd love to see how you interpret it and see what you make!
