Poppy Love -- for Ching Chou Kuik

It's Tuesday, and it's my day to post on the Ching-Chou Kuik inspiration and challenge blog. I love my days when I get to color up and share the beautiful Ching-Chou Kuik images

The current challenge is just getting underway with the theme of "All You Need is Love." I hope you join us with your Valentine/love creations.

For my inspiration card today, I used the beautiful image, Red Poppies.  It is a black & white image that I colored with Copic markers.

After I colored Red Poppies, I fussy cut it.  I found the perfect background paper for our "All You Need is Love" challenge in the We Are 3 Digital Shop. It is from the Touch of Teal Collection.

The giant XOXO die is from Lawn Fawn.  The filigree heart is from Cheery Lynn.  They were both purchased in the Dies R Us Store

Check out the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and challenge blog often for great inspiration. For more great ideas, and another challenge, visit the CCK Facebook Group.

Winter Warmth -- For Ching-Chou Kuik

It's Tuesday, and it's my day to post on the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration & Challenge Blog. If you haven't entered the January challenge yet, there still plenty of time.  The theme is "New".

I used the beautiful Ching-Chou Kuik digital image, Winter Warmth today.

I colored Winter Warmth with Copic markers.  To fit the "new" theme, I used a new set of dies to create the card from Crafter's Companion. The sentiment is also from Crafter's Companion, but has been used before.

The background paper is from We Are 3 Digital Shop. It's one of the new Salvaged Textures papers

I hope you visit the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration & Challenge blog frequently to see all the wonderful talent there and to enter the challenge. For another challenge, and even more inspiration, visit the Ching-Chou Kuik Facebook Group.

Tender Cuddle -- For Ching-Chou Kuik

It's Tuesday, and it's my day to post on the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration & Challenge Blog.  I love any chance I can get to color up these wonderful images!

I want to start by reminding you of the January challenge.  The theme is "New" -- new year, new home, new baby, new job, new crafty supplies.  Interpret it however you'd like!

The design team was given the opportunity to use not just the "New" theme, but also to add some sparkle.  I used one of the 4 digis in the Animal Set of 4.  This is Tender Cuddle:

I colored Tender Cuddle with Copic markers. Then, I added some highlights with a clear glitter pen.  I used a set of dies from Crafter's Companion to create the easel card (these were new).  More sparkle was added with some foiled snowflake paper, some glitter card stock, and some sequins (also new). The sentiment is also from Crafter's Companion.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Strength -- for Ching Chou Kuik

It's Tuesday, and it's my day to post on the Ching Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge Blog. I love a chance to color up these Ching-Chou Kuik images!

Our theme for the January challenge is "New": new house, new job, new baby, new crafty supplies -- however you want to interpret it.

I wanted to start the year off with a powerful word and image.  That word and image is Strength. It comes in 2 versions.  Both are Black & White.  One has more roots and vines, and that's the one I colored:

I colored Strength with Copic markers, then used a new Z fold die set from The Stamps of Life to create the card base.  The papers are from Crafter's Companion.  The sequins are from my stash, but I used a new Crystal Katana to attach them with.  It improves my blinging skills!

I hope you visit the Ching Chou Kuik blog often to see what the other talented designers create, and there's also the Ching-Chou Kuik Facebook Group

Holly Fairy -- For Ching-Chou Kuik

It's Tuesday, and it's my day to post on the Ching-Chou Kuik Challenge & Inspiration Blog.  Every Tuesday, I'm lucky enough tote able to color up one of these wonderful images!

Today, I worked with the delightful Holly Fairy.  She's part of a set of 4 Christmas Digital images

I colored Holly Fairy with Copic markers.  The gorgeous dies on this card are by Anna Griffin.  It's kind of hard to see the background paper, but it's by We Are 3 Digital Shop, and is from the Fairy Holiday Collection. The sentiment was computer generated and cut out with a die from Tonic Studios.

Christmas is almost upon us!  I hope you are ready, and I hope you enjoy your holidays!

Sweet December -- For Ching-Chou Kuik

It's Tuesday, and this is the day I am fortunate enough to be able to post on the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration & Challenge Blog.  We're about 1/2 way through this month's challenge.  The theme is Christmas or Winter.

For today's inspiration card, I used the beautiful Sweet December, colored with Copic markers.

That Christmas die is from Impression Obsession. I thought it would say 'Christmas' without having to use a sentiment.  The background paper and glitter paper are by Crafter's Companion.  The sweet deer die has been in my stash for so many years, I no longer know where he came from.

I hope you enjoyed today's inspiration.  I have 2 posts tomorrow, so please come back for another visit!

After coloring the image, I fussy cut her, then use a set of dies from Queen & Company to construct the card.  The sentiment is a die from Crafter's Companion.

The papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are from the Fairy Holiday papers

Some sequins and twine from my stash finished off the card.

Paw-sitively Grateful -- for Ching-Chou Kuik

It's Tuesday, and this is my day to post on the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge Blog. There's also a challenge going on with the theme of Remembrance/Thanksgiving/Thinking of You/ or Thank You.  I hope you join us!  You'll find lots of great images in the GJZCCK Etsy Shop!

For today's card, I used an image that was given to everyone that participated in the October Facebook Challenge. It was in honor of our 7th Anniversary.   I hadn't had a chance to color it up yet, and I so loved it!  Here is the greyscale image, The Cutie...

The Cutie is colored with Copic markers, a couple of Spectrum Noir markers, and a white gel pen.  I used an edger die from Spellbinders, the sentiment is on dies from Tonic Studios, and that paw print is a die from Kat Scrappiness.

The design team was given the additional challenge of making a shabby chic or distressed card, so I distressed the edges of the designer paper. It's from We Are 3 Digital Shop. It's one of the Inky Textures papers

It's called One Lasting Moment, and it is a greyscale image.  I don't often color those, but I really enjoyed this one!

I colored One Lasting Moment with a combination of Copic and Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.  I framed it with a die by Crafter's Companion.

This week, the design team was given the added challenge of using handmade flowers on our project.  I used Spring Bookworm, and created some flowers to add:

I colored Spring Bookworm with a combination of Copic and Spectrum Noir markers.  I then fussy cut the image, die cut out a stitched circle (Crafter's Companion) and placed Spring Bookworm on it.
