Take an Opportunity to Share Time -- for Path of Positivity

It's the first Monday of the month, which means it's the start of a new challenge at the Path of Positivity Challenge blog. This month's theme is 'Opportunity'.

After thinking about this theme, and how I most appreciate using opportunities to share of myself, it seems I'm usually lacking in time to do what I'd really like to do.  Work gets in the way.  Family and commitments get in the way.  Yes, even crafting gets in the way.  Time is a gift, an opportunity to share it how ever we choose. Choose wisely!

This digital image and sentiment are from DeeDee's Digis

I used Time With You

I used the pre-printed image, printing it twice, adding the sentiment to the bottom layer.  I fussy cut one layer, using foam tape to add dimension.

The designer papers are from Lisa Decosse, of Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. This set of papers is called "Christmas Time", but I thought it worked well for this time-themed card.  I cut the card base out on my Cricut, and wrapped some Timeless Twine around it.

When you think of the word 'opportunity', what comes to mind for you?  Design a project around those thoughts, and link up this month at Path of Positivity.  We've got great sponsors, and I'd love to see what you make!

Oh boy! for 3 Girl JAM

Masculine cards.  They can be such a struggle.  But the Jute Ribbon and String from 3 Girl JAM definitely makes them easier!

I got this image from participating in the Outlawz  Progressive Challenge. The digi is drawn by Jen Leeflang.  I thought he'd be fun to put on  a card large enough for a business sized envelope. I colored him with Copic markers, then fussy cut him out.  The card base was cut out on my Cricut.  The Kraft paper is from My Mind's Eye.  The Jute ribbon running down the length of the card is, of course, 3 Girl JAM.  The Vintage Button and Jute string are also from 3 Girl JAM

To get 10% off of your entire order from 3 Girl JAM, use discount code JO10. To get this month's featured ribbon for $1, with the purchase of any other item, use code Summer Harvest as check out.  Don't forget about the Anything Goes with Ribbon Challenge!  You'll find it HERE.

Oh, Baby, Thinking of You! for Crafty Sentiments

Looking for the Colors of Summer Blog Hop?  Please click HERE
It's New Release Day at Crafty Sentiments Designs, and I was given 2 images to work with.  What's fun about the new releases is you never know what images you'll get.  You just know they'll be cute and fun!  Today's new releases are no exception.
This first card features Isobel:
This rubber stamp is called Isobel Expecting.  She looks so happy, doesn't she?  She's shopping for baby, and glowing inside.  I colored Isobel Expecting with Copic markers. I computer generated the sentiment.
I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the center step card.  The papers are from My Mind's Eye.   The tie dye ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM, and the wood velour heart is from my stash.
New Release #2 from Crafty Sentiments Designs features Josh:
This is Josh - Floral Collection, and he is also a rubber stamp.  Once again I colored him with Copic markers, then used a Spellbinders die to cut him out.  The card base was cut out on my Cricut using a Close To My Heart Artfully Sent cartridge. The designer paper is from Kaisercraft.  The flowers are from Prima Marketing.  The bird is from my stash.
There is another rubber stamp being released today (3 altogether).  To see it, and the other creations from this talented design team, please visit the Crafty Sentiments Inspirations blog

There's a new team in town, and a new challenge blog soon to appear.  The Morgan Fitzsimons Creative Team is being introduced this month.  Today, I'm showing my first card for this new team.
This is Flower 6, and will be available soon at Morgan Fitzsimons.com. If this image looks familiar to you, it was previously found at Fitztown.
I colored the image with Copic markers.  I cut the card out on my Cricut, using the Close To My Heart Artfully Sent cartridge. Card stock is also Close To My Heart. The crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM.
Please join the Morgan's Art World Facebook group to learn more about this beautiful art, and for more great inspiration.

Hello! for IDCB

It's Wednesday, and time for a new challenge at Inspiration Destination Challenge Blog (IDCB).  This week, our sponsor is The Paper Shelter.  I had a great time with the image and digital paper I was provided with!

The image and paper are both from Capture the Moment.  I printed the paper out at 5x5 inches.  Then, I placed it on a Cricut 12x12 mat, and cut a 5 inch tag from the Close To My Heart Art Philosophy cartridge.  I fussy cut the darling girl holding the camera -- she's the pre-colored version -- mounting her on a piece of Juniper CTMH card stock.  I used Thickers for the 'Hello' sentiment.  There's some 3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon and Timeless Twine on here, too.
Join us this week at IDCB where it's always Anything Goes!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Tags, Tags, Tags -- Guest Designing for BMCCS

It's Saturday!  I hope you all survived Black Friday yesterday.  I stayed out of the stores and did some crafting instead.  I don't like crowds!
I have the privilege of guest designing again this month for Blue Moon Creation Crafting Station.  I used 4 different digis to make these Christmas tags:

These digis are available for Crafting Station Club members.  You can try the membership for the first 2 months for only 99 cents!

I used Copic markers on each of these tags.  I cut the tags out on my Cricut, using the Close To My Heart Art Philosophy cartridge.

Four tags, ready to go for Christmas!  Enjoy!
Thanks to Beth and Thia for BMCCS for the opportunity to guest design today.

Happy Black Friday!

It's Friday, and not just any Friday, but Black Friday.  I, for one, am staying out of the stores.
But, there's still plenty of shopping to be done, including new trims at the 3 Girl JAM store.  I used the Holiday trim to create this:

This silver trim is perfect for dressing up a gift for Christmas!
I cut this box out on my Cricut.  The stamp is from Unity Stamp Co., colored with Copic markers, and inked with Tim Holtz distress inks.  I used a Spellbinders die to cut it out.
Need some of this Holiday trim for yourself? Use discount code JO10 for 10% off of anything -- and not just on Black Friday, but ANY day!

Snow Friends for Not Just Cards

It's Monday, and I'm posting today for the fun challenge blog, Not Just Cards.  I love to challenge myself to make something other than a card, and I love the opportunity to work with images from Stamp Art Design by Kathryne (found at Whimsy Stamps). Today, I had the chance to do both those things!   What a pleasure!

This adorable image is called "Snow Friends."  It comes with the sentiment also (and some others, too).  I colored it with Copic markers.
I cut out the box on my Cricut, using the Close To My Heart Cricut Artiste cartridge. The designer paper is from Close To My Heart, and so is the glitter tape.  The ribbons are from 3 Girl JAM.
Now it's your turn.  Make something, not just a card, and link it to our challenge.  It'll be fun!

A Very Cute Mouse!

It's Wednesday, and time for a new challenge at Inspiration Destination. And, as always, it's Anything Goes!  This week, I was lucky enough to be able to work with a delightful Gerda Steiner image.  CUTE!

I used the Gerda Steiner digi, Ice Skating Mouse, and colored him with Copic markers.

I used a Spellbinders die, cut a popcorn box out on my Cricut, using the Close to My Heart Cricut Artiste cartridge, and mounted the Ice Skating Mouse image to the popcorn box. There's Aqua Blue Baker's Twine from Timeless Twine wrapped around the box, and tied with a big, floppy double bow.
And, that's my inspiration for today's challenge at the Inspiration Destination Challenge blog.  Make anything -- link it up -- win great prizes -- like Gerda Steiner digi stamps!

Bon Travail -- for Eureka Stamps

It's Monday, which means it's time for a new challenge at Eureka Stamps.   This week's theme is "vacation". Great theme, right?
I had a wonderful time with digis on this card, using three different stamps to create this:

I have never been to Paris, but it's on my "bucket list".  I'm going to get there some day , some way! And, hopefully, it will be when the Tour de France is there.  I love Tour Time! This card is my dream card!
I used 3 Eureka digi stamps on this card: "Paris" (digi60135)

Bon Travail (digi 60109)
and the uber cool map of the city of Paris (digi 60126)
The Eiffel Tower was cut out on my Cricut, using the French Manor cartridge.  The Enamel Dots are from My Mind's Eye.
And that's my vacation card.  I'd love for you to link up at Eureka Stamps this week so I can see your vacation project -- card, scrapbook layout, mini album.  It's a great challenge theme!

Give Thanks 4 Fall!

H-U-M-P Day! We can see the weekend from here! Greetings, my blog friends. I'm posting for 3 Girl JAM, filling in on an empty day.
If you are a regular to my blog, you've seen this banner before.  But, it's filled with 3 Girl JAM goodness, so it bears repeating.
I have a Fall-themed banner to share with you today.  It has quite a few pictures, so sit back and relax...

There's a lot to see on this banner, so I have pictures of the individual panels.  I'll tell you more of how I made it as I go along, too.
First, a close up of the top square of the banner.  Each of these 4x4 decorative squares is from a mini album that I took apart.  Close To My Heart used to make them.  They were called a Mix & Mingle album.  I love them for banners because some of the panels are acrylic and some are chipboard -- perfect for something like this!

I used a stamp from the Joy's Life stamp set "It's All Fall Puns" on the first panel, the "Give Thanks" sentiment.  The #4 and all the letters were cut out on my Cricut, using the Cricut Classic font cartridge.  The designer papers are from the Jillibean Soup Apple Cheddar Soup 6x6 paper pad. The white and cocoa cardstock are from Close To My Heart.

I used various Spellbinder dies to cut the shapes throughout the banner.  Here, you can see an acorn cut from a Tim Holtz die, painted with Creative Inspirations paint.  The leaves are from a cutting file from The Cutting Café using American Crafts Autumn cardstock.  The twine is from Trendy Twine, and can you see that jute string on all 4 corners?  That's the new jute string found in the 3 Girl JAM store.  It worked perfectly on this banner because of the wonderful Fall colors.  I used the Jute ribbon found in the 3 Girl JAM store at the top of the banner.

the "a" is decorated with more leaves from the Tim Holtz die. They've all been painted with various Creative Inspirations paints. You can see more of the gorgeous 3 Girl JAM jute string that I used on each corner of the panels in these photos, also.

On this first "l", you can see another of the acrylic pieces that I used. There's some more Trendy Twine here, too, along with leaves cut from The Cutting Cafe's file and the Tim Holtz die.

This final "l" gives you a good look at the pretty jute string from 3 Girl JAM.
At the bottom of my banner, I used another Joy's Life stamp, from the same stamp set -- It's All Fall Puns.

That cute squirrel is cut from a die. The Spellbinder ones were perfect for this project, as was this squirrel die from Cottage Cutz. I cut the squirrel out on white cardstock, but used TH distress inks to ink him up.  The eye was made with a Viva Décor Pearl pen.
I have one more view of the whole banner for you, since it was a few pictures back when you saw the whole thing.

Phew! That was a lot of pictures and description! Thanks for sticking with me!  I hope you enjoyed my banner.  Now, go do some shopping of your own for that new jute ribbon and string.  It's on sale, and it's PERFECT for Fall!  While you're there, pick up some other goodies, too -- you deserve it!

I'm spreading Halloween cheer -- for Pinque Peacock

Hello, my crafty friends.  Thanks so much for stopping by today! I have a quick and easy card I made, showcasing a fabric button from Pinque Peacock.  I'm still making Halloween cards to hand out to my nursing home residents, and this is another one I'll have ready to go for the holiday:

The fabric covered button, with candy corn print, is a 3/4 inch button.  They are the perfect size for cards.  L-O-V-E!
The card was cut out on my Cricut.  I made it big enough to fit into a business size envelope. I used a printable stamp from The Cutting Café for the focal piece.  You can find it HERE.  I didn't even have to color it! I just printed it, trimmed it, and voila! it was ready to go. Super simple! I added a couple of spooky glittery brackets from Making Memories, some Halloween twine from Trendy Twine, and the card is complete.
I hope you enjoyed today's card! I had a great time making it.

Surf, Sun, and Stickles blog hop

Welcome to the Surf, Sun, & Stickles Blog Hop brought to you by the All that Stickles design team!

We're in the midst of a heat wave and what better way to cool off then indoors crafting with some Stickles?! This month's hop is all about using Stickles on those fun, summer-themed projects we all love to create.

I wanted to make a home décor project this month, so I decided on wooden blocks.  Here they are all together.

I used Echo Park Splash 12x12 papers on these blocks, because it seemed like the perfect papers for our theme.  I also used the stickers that were in the paper pack, and glitzed them up a bit with Stickles.  I cut the letters out on the Cricut using the Type Candy Font cartridge.  I'll show you a close up of each letter so you can see how they sparkle with the Stickles on them!
For each of the letters, I used watercolor paints and Stickles together, painting the mixture together to coat the letters.  I used yellow Stickles on the sun.

The stripes of the fish are filled in with Tropical Tangerine Stickles.

The rim of the sand bucket has True Blue Stickles on it.  The shovel has Goldenrod distress Stickles on it.

And, finally, the beach ball has a little Crystal Stickles on it to make it pop.

This is my final blog hop as an All That Stickles design team member.  I'm moving on after this month.  My father's failing health and too many commitments are making it hard to keep up with everything.  I've enjoyed this experience very much and will miss my opportunities to share with you.
