It's the start of a new month, so it's the start of a new challenge at the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up. The theme this month is red and green Now, that's an easy theme for Christmas!
Our sponsor this month is Imagine That Digistamp. I used her Daschshund Christmas set to create this:
I used the pre-colored image that comes in the set. Papers on this card are from on our ongoing sponsor, Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. These Papers are from her 12 days of Papers collections. The sentiment is part of the Daschshund Christmas Set.
I hope you link up your Christmas cards this month at the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Ho Ho Ho -- for the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up
It's October 1st (Yikes!), and that means we're one month closer to Christmas, and one month closer to needing those Christmas cards made! It also means it's time for a new linky party at the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up. This month's optional theme is Sensational Santas. Our sponsor is Limited Runs. Keep in mind, though, you don't need to follow the twist to win a paper, or the $10 gift certificate from our sponsor. To be eligible to win this month's featured paper pack, you do need to follow the Sensational Santa theme, displaying a Santa somewhere on your card. The digital papers are made each month by the lovely Lisa Decosse of Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.
I used Limited Run's digital image, Mini Santa, to create this:
I colored the Mini Santa with Copic markers, then fussy cut it out. I used two different papers from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. Both the Santa and the plaid papers are Lisa's.
I used a sketch from the Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge to help me create this card. Here's the sketch:
The Ho Ho Ho sentiment is a die from Creative Expressions, purchased through the Dies R Us Store. The decorative brads are retired, from Close To My Heart. The stitched oval dies are from Cottage Cutz.
Remember to link up any Christmas cards you make this month at the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up. Link up one with a Santa theme to be eligible for this month's paper pack. Link up any card and you might win the awesome prize from Limited Runs!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

To the Beach -- for the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog
It's the 3rd Monday of the month, so it's time for some mid-month inspiration over on the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog. The optional twist this month is: relaxation. You can make a project using this optional theme, or link up any positive themed project you'd like.
One of our ongoing sponsors is Scribbles Designs. I used the very fun digi image, To the Beach to create my "relaxation" card:
I colored up the To the Beach sign with Copic markers, then cut it out. The sentiment is my own, and was computer generated. Papers on this card are from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles, and are part of her Taste of Summer kit.
I find being at the lake one of the most relaxing places to be. If I have a choice, take me to the beach!
I hope you will join us this month at the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog for our optional Relaxation themed challenge. You have until September 1st to link up.
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Summer Flip Flops
I'm posting today for the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog. I love the days I post on the Dies R Us Blog. I usually color all my projects, so it's a great break to create with dies.
Summer is fast losing it's heat here in the Northland where I live, so I am clinging to every day that remains! That is what made me create this summertime card -- summer flip flops!
The Dies R Us Store has many cute flip flops that would work on this card. Just put in flip flops in the search engine and see what comes up. I liked these from Cheapo Dies. I think they would be great for a patriotic themed project, so I know I'll be using them again.
Here's a picture of the supplies I used on this card:
I had the idea in my head, but it took a lot of playing to get the shades of paper that were either bright enough of dark enough to show up the way I wanted them. I backed everything with Stick It Adhesive Sheets. If you haven't tried Stick It, I highly recommend it. It works great on small things, like words, and intricate things, like the Flip Flops. Just peel off the sticky layer, place it on the back of your paper, die cut your project, then peel off a second time to reveal the glue. It's very easy to use and you can cut it to the exact size you need!
The sentiment was created with the Impression Obsession die, Hello Summer. This has been my go-to die for summertime projects. The words are a great size! I love this die!
I used 2 dies from the Memory Box Wrapped Stitch Rectangles to mat and back the Flip Flops.
Here are photos and links of the products used in the Dies R Us Store:
Have you heard about the Design Team call for the Dies R Us Inspiration team? This is a wonderful team to be on! You can find all the details here.
Thanks for stopping by today! Enjoy what's left of summer!

Chillaxin' with Sketch Saturday
It's Saturday, and I'm starting today on the Sketch Saturday design team. I often use their past sketches when I need ideas to jump start a card, and I like to participate in their challenges. So, it seemed like a good fit!
There's a new challenge every week at Sketch Saturday. There are 2 teams, so I'll be posting every other Saturday. Today's challenge is sponsored by Scribbles Designs. They are offering a $10 Gift Certificate to their store.
First, my creation, and then, this week's sketch:
The image I used from Scribbles Designs is #F163 Summer Treats. It is a freebie that I found on their Challenge Blog here.
Here is this week's Sketch Saturday sketch:
As you can see, I followed the sketch very closely, except I tied some twine around the top of the image, and a bow where the twine is tied on the sketch. Other than that, I'm exactly with the sketch.
Papers on this card are from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. They are from her Taste of Summer kit.
I hope you enjoy this sketch as much as I did, and join us this week at Sketch Saturday. I'd love to see how you use it!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Relax! It's Summer! for Path of Positivity Challenge Blog
It's the first Monday of August, and the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog is up and going after taking the month of July off. Our challenges are a month long, with great sponsors an optional themes. This month's optional theme is: Relaxation (or you can enter any positive themed project you'd like). Our sponsor this time is Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. Lisa Decosse makes really great papers, and you could win some of hers!
I used her Taste of Summer papers to create this:
I used 5 papers from the set. The fish background paper, the paper that the bikini is cut out of, the papers that the stitched ovals are cut from, and the paper the "Hello" is cut from.
I find a day at the beach about as relaxing as it gets, so I thought it would fit our "Relaxation" theme very well. Summer is all about taking some well deserved breaks from the usual routine, and relaxing more than we do the rest of the year (even if it's not in a bikini anymore).
Join us at the Path of Positivity for our optional Relaxation themed challenge. You have until Sept. 1!
I'd like to enter the following challenges:

Merriest Christmas Wishes -- for the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up
It's the first of August (already!) and it's time for another month of Christmas card link ups over at the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up. The optional theme this month is Sparkles, Glitter &/or Bling. Our sponsor is the always awesome Oddball Art Company!
I made a card with sparkle, bling, and glitter on it to fit the criteria of Sparkles, Glitter, &/or bling, using the adorable Rudolph Cute Reindeer:
He IS a cute reindeer, isn't he? I think Rudolph Cute Reindeer is a good name for him, don't you? I colored Rudolph Cute Reindeer with Copic markers, then found some papers that matched so well by our ongoing sponsor, Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. The sentiment is an acrylic stamp by Creative Expressions, purchased at the Dies R Us Store.
The snowflakes are dies from Lawn Fawn, and are cut from glitter paper, although they didn't photograph well. The glimmer trim at least looks sparkly! It is from Close To My Heart. Rudolph has a red gem on his nose -- that's the sparkle.
To be eligible for this month's paper from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles, link up 2 Christmas cards this month, and you'll automatically get one of the papers. Follow the optional theme to be eligible to win the whole set! To win the gift certificate from Oddball Art, simply enter a Christmas card in the 12 Months of Christmas link up.

Jingle All the Way -- for Bugaboo Stamps
It's Christmas in July at Bugaboo Stamps! You'll find all the fun and challenges at Catch the Bug this week. Our theme is "the best Christmas Movies ever". You can win awesome prizes all week!
Today, the Movie theme is "Jingle All the Way". It's also a sketch challenge, so there are 2 things to follow for today's challenge.
I found a really cute Elf in the Bugaboo Store that fit the Jingle All the Way theme. I was able to modify the sketch slightly to make it work for that, too.
This is Elf 001, colored with Copic markers. I wanted to use red and blue papers, so I made my Elf 001 red and blue, too. Which way do you work? Do you match your coloring to your papers, or your papers to your coloring? I generally color, then match my papers, but every now and then, I have papers in mind, so color my images to match the papers.
This Elf, with his jingle bells on his hat and elf shoes, fits the Jingle all the Way theme, don't you think? And, isn't he cute? I decided to go without a sentiment, as he screams Christmas, even without a phrase attached.
Papers on this card are from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles, and were designed for the 12 Months of Christmas Challenges. If you are joining in the Bugaboo Christmas in July challenges this week, join us at the 12 Months of Christmas Link up, too!
I hope you join us this week for Christmas in July at Catch the Bug Blog. There will be great challenges and tons of prizes All. Week. LONG!!!

Happy Howlidays! for the 12 Months of Christmas
It's a new month, so there's a new link up over at the 12 Months of Christmas. This month, the optional theme is Christmas Plaids.
Our wonderful sponsor this month is Ike's Art. Decosse's Dynamite Doodles is again sponsoring a wonderful plaid paper for those that use a plaid paper on their card.
I used the darling digi, Xmas Jack Russell, to create this:
I colored up Xmas Jack Russell with Copic markers. The Christmas plaid background paper is from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. It is from her Holiday Hoopla collection. The dog paw border was purchased at Dies R Us. It is from Frantic Stamper. The sentiment is a retired stamp I've had in my possession forever. Or is that fur-ever? The glimmer trim is from CTMH, and the tiny bit of twine is from Timeless Twine.
Christmas plaids-- I love the look, and I hope you do, too! It's the optional theme this month at The 12 Months of Christmas. Come link up your Christmas cards and be eligible to win the gift certificate from Ike's Art! Link up a plaid card and get the paper from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.

Gingerbread Christmas -- for the 12 Months of Christmas
June 1, and I'm slowly getting some Christmas cards made. June 1 means it's time for another link up at the 12 Months of Christmas. This month, the alternate theme is "Gingerbread", but you can always link up anything Christmas. Our wonderful sponsor this month is Beccy's Place.
I used the gingerbread house, and 2 of the words from the Gingerbread Digital Stamps set to create this:
I printed the Gingerbread house on kraft paper, then colored the Gingerbread house with Faber Castell polychromos pencils. The sentiments, also from the Gingerbread Digital Stamps set, have a sparkly pen added for accent, but it's hard to see in the picture.
Decosse's Dynamite Doodles sponsors the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up each month with a set of Christmas papers. I used 2 of her papers on this card. They were both from her annual 12 Days of Christmas celebration. These are from 2015. To be eligible to get her papers this month, link up 2 Christmas cards.
I hope you join us this month as the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up. To be eligible for the wonderful prize from our sponsor, Beccy's Place, link up a card with the gingerbread theme.

Hot Dog! for Dies R Us Inspiration Blog
Hot Dog! I'm on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog today, and I've got one of my favorite kinds of cards to share -- a dog themed card! I also used stamps and dies, plus a little Copic coloring. Lots of my favorite things!
Lawn Fawn makes some of the cutest stamps, and they have coordinating dies for many of those stamp sets. I used one of these coordinating sets today:
This card uses Critters at the Dog Park stamp set and Critters at the Dog Park coordinating die set.
Here's a photo of all the supplies I used. I'l link them all at the bottom of this post:
I started out by inking a blue background using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks in 4 shades of blue (there are many shades of Distress Oxide Ink available in the Dies R Us Store.
Then, I used a Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle die to cut out the background.
Next, I wanted some "ground", or grass, so I cut another circle out of light green, then cut it about a 1/3 of the way down.
I stamped one of the dogs from the Critters at the Dog Park set, colored it with Copic markers, then used the coordinating die to cut it out:
All that was left was to find some appropriate pet themed papers, assemble the card, add a bit of twine for trim, and my card was done!

It's May 1, and with a new month comes a new link up at the 12 Months of Christmas. This month, the optional theme is "Creature Feature".

I colored up Christmas Puppy with Copic markers, then used papers from our monthly sponsor, Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.
I found this fun card shape in the Silhouette Design Store, and cut it out on my Silhouette Cameo 3.

Hey Bird Friend! for Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez
I'm posting today for Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez. Patricia draws the cutest, most whimsical art, and I love to color it up and create cards with it. She has animals, fairies, dragons, monsters, snowmen, all kinds of adorable characters. It's definitely worth a trip to the Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez Store to see it all.
Today, I'm showcasing a digi image called Magpie Thief. Magpies are black and white -- a very striking bird -- but since I'm in spring mode, and I'm waiting anxiously to see the first bluebird where I live, I colored my Magpie Thief to look more like a bluebird:
He looks like a thief, with his mask on and his bag to hold all his treasures, doesn't he?
I colored Magpie Thief with Copic markers, then used a frame die from Craftin' Desert Divas to frame him with. I found a challenge at The Outlawz for using damask, so I used this fleur de lis, or damask paper from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles as a background paper. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp, and is an acrylic stamp.
You can find my Kinda Cute inspiration in the Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez Facebook Group and on Instagram.
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Outlawz Thursday Twist -- Fleur de Lis (damask)
Dare 2 Be Artsy -- Animals
Not Just Cards -- ATG
Dragonfly Dreams -- add an animal
Today, I'm showcasing a digi image called Magpie Thief. Magpies are black and white -- a very striking bird -- but since I'm in spring mode, and I'm waiting anxiously to see the first bluebird where I live, I colored my Magpie Thief to look more like a bluebird:

Fairy Joy -- for the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up
It's a new month, and that means it's a new opportunity to get a Christmas card or 2 made for the 2019 Christmas season. There's a new challenge that starts today at The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up.
This month, the optional theme is 'Fairies'. Our sponsor is A Day for Daisies. To be eligible for the awesome prize, you must use a fairy somewhere on your card -- either in the image, in the papers, or as an embellishment.
I used the sweet Holly Berry Fairy:
I colored Holly Berry Fairy with Copic markers.
Papers on this card are from another of our awesome sponsors, Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. Every month, Lisa creates papers for the challenge. to be eligible to win one of them, enter 2 Christmas cards in a month. This month, of course, the papers have a fairy theme, but there are also 2 glitter papers, which I used on this card.
I cut out the card base on my Silhouette Cameo 3 with a file from the Silhouette Design Store. The sentiment is an acrylic stamp from Technique Tuesday.
Are you working on your Christmas cards? Then link them up at The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up, where this month's optional theme is "Fairies".
I found the following challenges to enter:
Outlawz Festive Fridays -- Christmas
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas -- must be Christmas
Winter Wonderland
Christmas at Sweet Stamping -- Must be Christmas, use some stamping
Cute N Crafty Christmas -- ATG
The Holly and Ivy Christmas Challenge -- ATG

Joyeux Noel -- for the 12 Months of Christmas
The year is moving right along, and I'm trying to get a Christmas card or 2 made each month, in hopes of staying on top of the homemade cards for 2019.

Our sponsor this month is Lunagirl -- with some of the best vintage images and ephemera out there!
I used the awesome Joyeux Noel Set #2 (Vintage French Christmas Cards) to create this:
Another of our sponsors each month is Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. I used 3 of her papers on this card. They were all from the 2018 12 Days of Christmas set. And, I used 3 brads from Close To My Heart, following the "Brads, Buttons, and Bows" theme by using the 3 brads.
You can win some of Lisa's awesome Christmas papers by linking up 2 Christmas cards to the 12 Months of Christmas each month. Follow the optional theme to be eligible for a prize from our sponsor, Lunagirl.

Feb. 1 -- a new month, a new link up at the 12 Months of Christmas! There's an optional penguin theme going on this month, and our awesome sponsor, Bugaboo Stamps, has many wonderful Penguin digis to color up, including this absolute cutie, Ornaments Penguin!
I colored up Ornaments Penguin with Copic markers. The adorable penguin background paper is from Decosse Dynamite Doodles. It is 2 papers from the Penguin Pals mini paper kit.
I used this week's sketch from Sketch Saturday to help me design this card. Here's the sketch:

Anything But Rectangle Candle -- for the 12 Months of Christmas
Here it is! My first Christmas card of 2019! Woot! Woot! Only about 50 more to go and it's a wrap!
Today starts the new year and a new challenge at the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up. The theme this month is "Anything but Rectangle." Since I loved shaped cards, I had fun with this one!
Our sponsor this month is SheepSki Designs. Andrea North has many wonderful digital images in her SheepSki Designs Etsy Shop -- for Christmas, or any time of year. Check it out here.
I used the beautiful Christmas Candle to create this circle shaped card:
I colored up Christmas Candle with Copic markers, then used a variety of circle dies to cut it out, back it, and make the circle shaped card. The card base is a die from Tattered Lace.
The beautiful poinsettia paper on this card is from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. Lisa is continuing to sponsor the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up again this year, so if you link up 2 Christmas cards each month, you'll be eligible for one of her papers that month.
I know this isn't the time of year we usually think of creating Christmas cards, but I love to make 1 or 2 each month. It makes November and December MUCH less hectic! I hope you, too, get at least one made and find time to link up with us at The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up. You'll want a chance at these awesome prizes!

Christmas Candle-- for SheepSki Designs
Old or New --that's the theme at the SheepSki Designs Challenge blog for January 2019. Great theme for a new year, don't you think? You can either enter a favorite card using a SheepSki Designs image that you've enjoyed making from the past, or create something new.
I've always loved Andrea North's Christmas Candle image, and needed to color it up for another challenge today, so I decide to use it for today's challenge at SheepSki Designs Challenge Blog. So, it's the "new" theme for me with Christmas Candle:
I colored Christmas Candle with Copic markers, then cut it out and backed using a couple Lifestyle Crafts circle dies.
The card base was cut out with my Silhouette Cameo 3 with an SVG file from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons. It can also be found in the Silhouette Design Store. The poinsettia background paper is from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. The red shimmer trim is from Close To My Heart.
I hope you find time to join us this month at SheepSki Designs Challenge Blog. Now that the holidays are over, maybe things will slow down? Well, maybe not! But take time for yourself anyway!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Winter Wonderland Challenge -- Anything Goes Christmas Goes
Sparkles Christmas Challenge -- Add some sparkle
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge -- ATG as longs as it's Christmas
Crimbo Crackers -- ATG Christmas
