Fabulous Oriental Girl -- for Colour Crazy Challenges

It's Friday, and that means there's a new challenge at the Colour Crazy Challenge Blog.  It's Team D's turn, so I'm up!   Our sponsor this week is All Dressed Up Stamps.  Since I'm on their design team, you already know how much I enjoy coloring up Wendy's wonderful artwork!

I was able to work with the beautiful Oriental Girl digi to create this:

I struggle with coloring black hair, so generally stay away from images where I have to color it, but we don't improve if we don't challenge ourselves.  Since this is a coloring challenge, I decided to do just that.  Her hair isn't perfect, but I'm satisfied with the results, and will try it again without too much fear and trepidation!

Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  That pretty background paper is from the Spring Letters paper collection.  The framed paper around the pretty Oriental Girl is from the Tea Time collection.

The 'Fabulous' sentiment is a die cut from Crafter's Companion, and the crinkle ribbon is from my stash.

The Colour Crazy Challenge -- there's a new challenge every Friday with wonderful sponsors.  I hope you can join us this week when All Dressed Up has such a fabulous prize for you!

Believe In Your Dreams -- Guest Designing at The Outlawz

Happy Thursday, everyone!   The Outlawz is one of my favorite places to play.  They have challenges every single day, and I enter as often as I can.  I particularly like their Twisted Thursday Challenges, as I can try for the twist, or just go with the Anything Goes Theme.  So, when given a chance to guest design, I just have to say 'yes'!!  This is my first time guest designing for The Outlawz all year, so I better get busy!

The optional theme at Twisted Thursday for the next 2 weeks is "Hip to Be Square" (use 3 squares).  The sponsor this month is LeAnn's World

This is Benjamin, colored with Copic markers.  Spunky lil' fella, isn't he?  After coloring Benjamin, I set out to construct my card, following the Outlawz Twisted Thursday theme of using 3 squares. I found 3 square dies by Spellbinders that I thought would fit nicely on my card, and next, it was on to finding the right papers.

Papers are this card are a New Release from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  These are papers from the Moon Desert Collection.  I thought they worked well for a masculine card.

The sentiment is an acrylic stamp from Technique Tuesday.  The buttons, from my stash, seemed to stay with the masculine theme of the card.

"Hip to be Square" -- the optional theme at Twisted Thursday -- join in on the fun!  Plus, a big thanks to the Outlawz Twisted Thursday team for having me today!

Make A Wish -- for We Are 3 Digital Shop

Greetings, fellow crafters!  I'm sharing a card I made today when I applied for the Lavinia World design team.  I thought I'd share the card today and enter it in some challenges.  (Stamps on this card are NOT from Lavinia World).

I used a Crafter's Companion Stamp and Spectrum Noir inks on this card.  I used a couple different shades and blended the stamped panel out:

Papers are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are from the May New Release.  There is a piece from the Floral Burst Collection (pink embossed), and a piece from Frame It ( white with magenta dots).

I cut the circle out with a stitched die from Lawn Fawn.  The dragonfly was hidden away in my stash.

I DID make the Lavinia World design team, hopefully, partially because of this card, and the first challenge starts on May 23!  Check out the Lavinia World Challenge Blog for details and join us!

You Are Pawsitively Wonderful -- for Path of Positivity

It's the first Monday of the month, and that means it's time for a new challenge at The Path of Positivity Challenge Blog.  Each month there are optional themes, and this month's is Admiration.

When I think of what/who I admire most, my dog ranks right up there.  Well, dogs.  Period.  They are such a loving, forgiving, giving animal.  I think God knew what He was doing when he created dogs, and it is no accident that God spelled backwards is dog.

With that idea in mind, I created a card with this month's awesome sponsor, A Day for Daisies:

This is Buddy, colored with Copic markers.  The love between a boy and his dog, or a girl and her dog, can be life transforming for that child.  Our Golden Retriever, Winter, brings my husband and I joy every single day.  Our lives are much richer because of him.  There is much to admire in the personality of dogs!

The sentiment is from Pretty Cute Stamps (no longer in business).  The awesome paw print border, and the bone shaped dies were both purchases at the Dies R Us Store.  The dog themed paper is an Echo Park digital paper, purchased at Snap Click Supply.

Admiration -- a theme you can go many different directions with -- so I hope you join us this month at The Path of Positivity.  A Day for Daisies has the best digis you can win!

Hot Dog! for Dies R Us Inspiration Blog

Hot Dog!  I'm on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog today, and I've got one of my favorite kinds of cards to share -- a dog themed card!   I also used stamps and dies, plus a little Copic coloring.  Lots of my favorite things!

Lawn Fawn makes some of the cutest stamps, and they have coordinating dies for many of those stamp sets.  I used one of these coordinating sets today:

This card uses Critters at the Dog Park stamp set and  Critters at the Dog Park coordinating die set.

Here's a photo of all the supplies I used.  I'l link them all at the bottom of this post:

I started out by inking a blue background using Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks in 4 shades of blue (there are many shades of Distress Oxide Ink available in the Dies R Us Store.

Then, I used a Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle die to cut out the background.

Next, I wanted some "ground", or grass, so I cut another circle out of light green, then cut it about a 1/3 of the way down.

I stamped one of the dogs from the Critters at the Dog Park set, colored it with Copic markers, then used the coordinating die to cut it out:

All that was left was to find some appropriate pet themed papers, assemble the card, add a bit of twine for trim, and my card was done!

Supplies used, found in the Dies R Us Store:

Papers on this card are from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.  They are part of her Puppy Power digital paper set.

Don't forget to come join in the fun at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog.  There's a new challenge theme offered on the 1st and 15th of each month and one lucky randomly drawn winner will receive a gift voucher prize to the Dies R Us Store.  For your convenience, all the important Dies R Us links are provided below.

For My Friend -- and Di's Digi Designs Challenges

It's been two weeks already, and it's time for a new challenge at Di's Digi Designs Challenges.  For the next 2 weeks, the theme is 'Anything But a Card'.  I'm primarily a card maker, but it's always good to shake it up a bit and make something different.  For this challenge, I made a gift tag using Daffodil Delivery

I colored up Daffodil Delivery with Copic markers.  I'm anxiously waiting for Daffodils to bloom where I live, and it should be soon!

Papers on this gift tag are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  The blue paper is from the Spring Butterflies Too collection, and the paper the sentiment is on is from the Floral Expressions collection

Celebration Mouse -- for Sasayaki Glitter Stamps

It's time for a Celebration at Sasayaki Glitter Challenge Blog.  The theme this month is "Congratulations".  Take that any way you want -- wedding, graduation, birthday, new baby, there are many occasions to celebrate, and Sasayaki Glitter Stamps has many, many images that will work for this challenge theme!  The challenge goes for a month, so you have lots of time!

I decided to go with a birthday theme, as I never seem to have enough birthday cards on hand.  I used the very cute, very fun Birthday Cake Mouse on this card:

I colored up Birthday Cake Mouse with Copic markers.  I've been in a pastel state of mind with my Copic coloring lately, and I used them again on this card.  I thought it made that cake look yummy enough to eat!

Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  There's papers from the Cupcake Wrappers paper collection (left strip and middle strip).  The other 2 smaller strips are from the Celebrate paper pack

Speaking of 'Celebrate', the sentiment is cut out with a die from Frantic Stamper, purchased from the Dies R Us Store.  The balloon is a die from Paper Wishes, and there's a tiny bit of Timeless Twine to finish off the card.

I hope you are able to join us this month at Sasayaki Glitter's Challenge Blog.  You have until June 2 to link up!
