Just a Note -- for Path of Positivity Challenge Blog

It's the first Monday of the month, so it must be time for a new challenge at the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog!  The challenge starts today, and runs until Sunday, June 30.  The optional theme this month is 'Encouragement', or you can link up any positive themed project that you make.

Make a Splash! for Sasayaki Glitter Stamps

It's the 3rd of the month, and that's the day that a new challenge starts on the Sasayaki Glitter Challenge Blog.  Challenges run for a whole month, and this month, the theme is "making waves" -- perfect for summer themed projects!

I used the darling digi from Sasayaki Glitter called Swimmer Elly to create this: 

I colored Swimmer Elly with Copic markers, then computer generated the sentiment.  The dot on dot paper is digital, and is from AMB Illustrations.

You're One in a Melon! for Bugaboo Stamps

It's Monday, and that means it's time for Anything But a Card projects over on the Catch the Bug Blog.  I love making and giving little treat bags, so that's what I did today.

This treat bag uses One in a Melon.  It comes with several options -- a pre-printed sentiment, like a used here, a black and white version, and a slice of melon in a colored and B & W version.   Since all I needed was a sentiment, I decided to go with the pre-colored One in a Melon. 

I cut this treat bag out on my Silhouette Cameo 3 with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store.  That adorable melon paper is a June New Release from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  It is one of the new Watermelon papers.

I Hope your Day is just Ducky -- for Dies R Us

I'm on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog today, with a rather ducky card to share. I've been trying to get my ducks in a row!  (always, always, always, LOL).  Fortunately, the Dies R Us Store has helped me out.  Let me explain:

I created this fun card with a couple of dies, but the focal point is the Duck Set from Impression Obsession:

I recommend, if you want to use patterned paper like I did, that you find papers with small patterns so they show up on those tiny ducks.  I looked through many papers before I found ones that coordinated and had small enough patterns. These papers are from Close To My Heart.

The "hill" that they are climbing was created with a die similar to this one from Paper Rose.  The sun was cut out with a die from Impression Obsession that also comes with a moon.

Lastly, I computer generated the sentiment to tie in with my cute duck stamps, and I was done with my card!

June 1, and I'm slowly getting some Christmas cards made.  June 1 means it's time for another link up at the 12 Months of Christmas.  This month, the alternate theme is "Gingerbread", but you can always link up anything Christmas.   Our wonderful sponsor this month is Beccy's Place.

I used the gingerbread house, and 2 of the words from the Gingerbread Digital Stamps set to create this:

I printed the Gingerbread house on kraft paper, then colored the Gingerbread house with Faber Castell polychromos pencils.  The sentiments, also from the Gingerbread Digital Stamps set, have a sparkly pen added for accent, but it's hard to see in the picture.

For My Friend -- and SheepSki Designs

June 1st already!  My, my, my!  This year is clipping on by!  June 1 means it's time for a new challenge on the SheepSki Designs Challenge Blog.  This month, the theme is "For Someone Special." With Father's Day this month, you could go that direction, but since I have a couple friends I send cards to every week, my "For Someone Special" is a friendship card.

I used the beautiful SheepSki Designs image, Gladioli, to create this: 

I colored Gladioli with Copic markers, then set out to find some papers to match.  I found them at We Are 3 Digital Shop.  The 2 papers in the smaller squares are from the Tropical Delights paper collection.  The note paper with floral accents in the background is one of the new Just a Song papers.  The pretty crinkle ribbon is from the D.L. Art Etsy Store.

For the Boys -- and All Dressed Up Stamps

It's June 1st, and that means there's a new challenge starting in the All Dressed Up Facebook Group.  Every month, this is such a fun challenge!  A very supportive group enters some amazing projects. This month, the theme is "For the Boys".  Wendy Burns, artist of All Dressed Up Stamps has some wonderful stamps that fit this theme perfectly!  You'll find theme here in her All Dressed Up Stamps Etsy Shop. 

My nephew has a birthday in June, and he's a big gamer, so I thought this Gaming Boy digital image would be perfect for his birthday card.  I also used the Boy papers from the All Dressed Up Store to create this:

I colored Gaming Boy with Copic markers. While I usually match my papers to my coloring, I did this the other way around this time, as I already knew what papers I wanted to use.
