You're One in a Melon! for Colour Crazy Challenges

It's Friday!  Fri - yay!  You have to love Fridays!  I love them for many reasons, including it's the day that new challenges start over on the Colour Crazy Challenge Blog.  Each Friday, a new challenge starts, featuring wonderful colorists, and a marvelous sponsor!  What a great way to begin your Friday!

This week on the Colour Crazy Challenge Blog, our sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps. Those of you who follow my blog know I'm on the Bugaboo Stamps design team, so this sponsor makes me very happy!  Another thing that made me happy was coloring up this delicious Bugaboo Stamps watermelon image:

This image is part of the One in a Melon set.  In the Bugaboo Store, you get both the black & white version and a colored version of both the watermelon digi and the sentiment.

I colored One in a Melon with Copic markers.  I'm trying to be bolder with my color choices.  I used everything from RV04, to RV69, to R89 on this watermelon, with a few shade in-between.

The fun watermelon papers are a new release in the We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are all from the new Watermelon paper pack.

I used last week's sketch at Sketch Saturday to help me create this card.

I hope you can join us this week at the Colour Crazy Challenge Blog, where challenges are always Anything Goes (as long as you color your image with whatever coloring medium you like).

Honeysuckle Thanks -- for Lavinia World

Woohoo, it's Thursday!  Wohoo hoo, it's time for the 2nd challenge at the Lavinia World Challenge Blog!  I am having sooooo much fun creating with Lavinia World Stamps and papers!

I used one of the many floral stamps to create today's card:

This card uses the beautiful Honeysuckle clear stamp.  The stamp is just about 4 inches tall, but almost 2 inches wide.  I stamped it using Memento ink, then colored it with Copic markers.  I foiled around the outside edges of it with a Spellbinders foil stamp to add some sparkle to the card. The sentiment is a die from Impression Obsession, found in the Dies R Us Store.

Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are 2 of the papers in the Peonies Ballet Collection.  The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

The Lavinia World Challenges run for 2 weeks.  Entries are Anything Goes, but must use real stamps (no digital images allowed).  Lavinia Stamps are not required, but if you use a Lavinia Stamps in your entry, your chances of winning are doubled!!   The winner of the challenge gets an awesome badge to display, and a $15 gift certificate to the Lavinia World Store.  Oh yeah!  Ready, set, get creating!

Feather Card -- for Scrapyland Challenge Blog

Woohoo!  It's time for a new challenge on the Scrapyland Challenge blog. Every 2 weeks, an Anything Goes challenge starts, as long as you use a die that's sold in the Scrapyland Store.  Scrapyland carries dies from over 55 manufacturers, so there are a lot of dies to shop for in the incredible store!

I made this Anything goes card, using Impression Obsession dies:

There are 3 feathers in this Impression Obsession Feathers die set, and I used 2 different ones on this card.  The stitched frame die is from Memory Box. It is one of the Wrapped Stitched Frames.

I used 3 shades of Distress Oxide Inks, blended together, on the background.  You can see them in this picture.   I also used one of my other favorite products -- Stick It.

Scrapyland Challenge Blog -- there are 2 winners for every challenge, and both winners get a $10 gift certificate to the Scrapyland Store.  Get creative and link up!  I'd love to see what you create!

Just a Note -- for Path of Positivity Challenge Blog

It's the first Monday of the month, so it must be time for a new challenge at the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog!  The challenge starts today, and runs until Sunday, June 30.  The optional theme this month is 'Encouragement', or you can link up any positive themed project that you make.

Our sponsor this month is SheepSki Designs.  I just love Andrea North's images, so this is a real treat for me!  For the start of the challenge, I had the joy of working with a digital image called 'Solo':

This is an encouragement card, as this inside reads "to show I care".   I'm sending it to a friend that has been ill and needs a bit of cheering up.

I colored Solo with Copic markers.  The note paper, with floral accents is from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  It is from the Just a Song Collection.

Encouragement -- we all need it, we all give it.  Make a project and link up this month at The Path of Positivity Challenge Blog.  You'll have a chance to win wonderful images like this one from SheepSki Designs!

Make a Splash! for Sasayaki Glitter Stamps

It's the 3rd of the month, and that's the day that a new challenge starts on the Sasayaki Glitter Challenge Blog.  Challenges run for a whole month, and this month, the theme is "making waves" -- perfect for summer themed projects!

I used the darling digi from Sasayaki Glitter called Swimmer Elly to create this:

I colored Swimmer Elly with Copic markers, then computer generated the sentiment.  The dot on dot paper is digital, and is from AMB Illustrations.

Making Waves -- a very fun theme for this month's challenge at Sasayaki Glitter Challenge Blog.  I hope you can join us!

You're One in a Melon! for Bugaboo Stamps

It's Monday, and that means it's time for Anything But a Card projects over on the Catch the Bug Blog.  I love making and giving little treat bags, so that's what I did today.

This treat bag uses One in a Melon.  It comes with several options -- a pre-printed sentiment, like a used here, a black and white version, and a slice of melon in a colored and B & W version.   Since all I needed was a sentiment, I decided to go with the pre-colored One in a Melon

I cut this treat bag out on my Silhouette Cameo 3 with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store.  That adorable melon paper is a June New Release from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  It is one of the new Watermelon papers

I hope you check out the Catch the Bug blog to see what the other talented designers made today for Anything But a Card.  Did you pick up the Friday Freebie yet?  There's a new challenge every Saturday, and a new sketch challenge the first Sunday of the month to enter those freebies in.  Of course, you can always shop in the Bugaboo Stamps Store!

I Hope your Day is just Ducky -- for Dies R Us

I'm on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog today, with a rather ducky card to share. I've been trying to get my ducks in a row!  (always, always, always, LOL).  Fortunately, the Dies R Us Store has helped me out.  Let me explain:

I created this fun card with a couple of dies, but the focal point is the Duck Set from Impression Obsession:

I recommend, if you want to use patterned paper like I did, that you find papers with small patterns so they show up on those tiny ducks.  I looked through many papers before I found ones that coordinated and had small enough patterns. These papers are from Close To My Heart.

The "hill" that they are climbing was created with a die similar to this one from Paper Rose.  The sun was cut out with a die from Impression Obsession that also comes with a moon.

Here's all the pieces, cut out:

Dies R Us supplies used on this card:

Lastly, I computer generated the sentiment to tie in with my cute duck stamps, and I was done with my card!

I hope your day is just ducky!

Don't forget to come join in the fun at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog.  There's a new challenge theme offered on the 1st and 15th of each month and one lucky randomly drawn winner will receive a gift voucher prize to the Dies R Us Store.  For your convenience, all the important Dies R Us links are provided below.
