It's the first Monday of August, and the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog is up and going after taking the month of July off. Our challenges are a month long, with great sponsors an optional themes. This month's optional theme is: Relaxation (or you can enter any positive themed project you'd like). Our sponsor this time is Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. Lisa Decosse makes really great papers, and you could win some of hers!
I used her Taste of Summer papers to create this:
I used 5 papers from the set. The fish background paper, the paper that the bikini is cut out of, the papers that the stitched ovals are cut from, and the paper the "Hello" is cut from.
I find a day at the beach about as relaxing as it gets, so I thought it would fit our "Relaxation" theme very well. Summer is all about taking some well deserved breaks from the usual routine, and relaxing more than we do the rest of the year (even if it's not in a bikini anymore).
Join us at the Path of Positivity for our optional Relaxation themed challenge. You have until Sept. 1!
I'd like to enter the following challenges:
Pattie's Creations Challenge -- Under the Sea/Beach
Sketch Saturday -- week #575
Word Art Wednesday -- ATG
I have this blog as a place to share my creative self -- be it card making, music playing, scrapbooking, altered art, home decor, or whatever direction my art takes me. My dogs are always a part of my home life, so they have to be a part of my blog, too.

Bee-utiful -- for Catch the Bug Challenges
It's Saturday -- the first Saturday of the month, and that means it's time for an Anything Goes Challenge at Catch the Bug! Bugaboo images are not required, but we'd love to see them!
For this Anything Goes Catch the Bug Challenge, I used the Bugaboo Stamps digi, Bugaboo Bee 3 to create this:
I colored Bugaboo Bee 3 with Copic markers. Papers on this card are from Honey Bee Stamps. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. The stitched circle dies are from Lawn Fawn. The bee die was a freebie from a magazine subscription long ago, and I'm finally remembering to use it! The cloud die is an oldie, from American Crafts. I used a past sketch from Sketch Saturday to help me construct the card.
An Anything Goes Challenge at Catch the Bug! What could be better? Come join the fun!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Outlawz Sunday Songs & Rhymes -- 4 Seasons (Bees Buzz)
D.L. Art -- August Linky Party
Polkadoodles -- ATG

Rock On! It's Your Birthday! - for Colour Crazy Challenge Blog
It's my team's turn to post on the Color Crazy Challenge Blog. There is a new challenge every Friday, but we take turns posting. Challenges are Anything Goes, as long as your image is hand colored in whatever medium you choose.
Our sponsor this week is Dr. Digi's House of Stamps. If you like humorous, then you have to check out Dr. Digis!
This is Derek Clapton Dundertons. Look out, he is rockin' it!
I colored Derek Clapton with Copic markers, making him into one rockin' dude with his old fashioned radio and tennis racket!
Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop. They are 2 of the papers in the Back To Basics Collection.
The sentiment was computer generated, then cut out with a die from Diamond Press. A few embellishments that were sitting on my craft desk, and the card is done.
Join us at the Colour Crazy Challenge Blog each Friday. Color up a project and link up. We've got great sponsors and great prizes you can win!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
D.L. Art, Thankful Thursday - Birthday
Seize the Birthday -- no topping
Outlawz Festive Fridays -- birthday

Merriest Christmas Wishes -- for the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up
It's the first of August (already!) and it's time for another month of Christmas card link ups over at the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up. The optional theme this month is Sparkles, Glitter &/or Bling. Our sponsor is the always awesome Oddball Art Company!
I made a card with sparkle, bling, and glitter on it to fit the criteria of Sparkles, Glitter, &/or bling, using the adorable Rudolph Cute Reindeer:
He IS a cute reindeer, isn't he? I think Rudolph Cute Reindeer is a good name for him, don't you? I colored Rudolph Cute Reindeer with Copic markers, then found some papers that matched so well by our ongoing sponsor, Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. The sentiment is an acrylic stamp by Creative Expressions, purchased at the Dies R Us Store.
The snowflakes are dies from Lawn Fawn, and are cut from glitter paper, although they didn't photograph well. The glimmer trim at least looks sparkly! It is from Close To My Heart. Rudolph has a red gem on his nose -- that's the sparkle.
To be eligible for this month's paper from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles, link up 2 Christmas cards this month, and you'll automatically get one of the papers. Follow the optional theme to be eligible to win the whole set! To win the gift certificate from Oddball Art, simply enter a Christmas card in the 12 Months of Christmas link up.

Thanks So Stinkin' Much -- for SheepSki Designs
It's August 1st, so it's time for a new challenge at SheepSki Designs Challenge Blog. This month, the theme is one of my favorites - Animal Madness! I love animals, so when I get to make a card with an animal, it makes me happy!
For today's challenge, I used SheepSki Designs digi, Lil' Skunk, to create this:
I colored Lil' Skunk with Copic markers, working hard on this shades of black!
I found this twisted easel card file in the Silhouette Design Store and thought it would be cute for this Lil' Skunk to be displayed on. I used my Silhouette Cameo 3 to cut it out. The sentiment is from an acrylic stamp by Technique Tuesday. The red diamond paper and the blue card stock are from Close To My Heart. The flower brads are from my stash. I used a Spellbinders die to cut out Lil' Skunk.
You'll find many wonderful designs in the SheepSki Designs Etsy Shop that will work for this month's fun Animal Madness theme. Check out the shop here, then join in the challenge! I'd love to see what you create!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Things Will Bee Okay -- for All Dressed Up Stamps - & a birthday winner!
It's August 1st, and today starts a new challenge in the All Dressed Up Facebook Group. You'll find an album there with this month's theme - Fantasy &/or Wings.
I think this Busy Little Bee is the sweetest image, and perfect for the Fantasy &/or Wings theme. What do you think?
I colored Busy Little Bee with Copic markers. She has wings, so fits the theme. You'll find many adorable images in the All Dressed Up Etsy Shop that work for the theme. Take a look here!
I embellished Busy Little Bee with papers from Honey Bee Stamps. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp, and so is the honeycomb die cut. The bee die is one I've had for a long time and have finally remembered to use.
I hope you join us this month for our Fantasy &/or Wings challenge found in the All Dressed Up Facebook Group.
If you're a regular follower of my blog, you know I celebrated my birthday early in July, and had some blog candy I gave away for the month of July. Today is the day I'm picking my winner. I used Random.org to pick the winner. Thirty three people left comments on my post, and #7 was chosen. Joy Wilson, that is YOU!!!! Congrats, faithful reader, Joy! I will be emailing you shortly on how to send you your prize.

Once Upon a Dream -- for Lavinia World Challenges
It's the first Thursday of the month, and that means it's challenge time on the Lavinia World Challenge Blog! This is challenge #6 already! Challenges are Anything Goes, as long as you use an acrylic or rubber stamp. Lavinia Stamps are not a requirement, however, if you do use a Lavinia Stamp in your project, your chances are doubled or winning a prize of a gift certificate to the Lavinia World store, based in the US.
My DT project for today's challenge uses several fairy stamps, a sentiment stamp, and one of the papers found in the Lavinia World Store. This was the first I had used the papers, and I really liked them!
Here is Once Upon a Dream!
I stamped Rory, then Darcy (using the Rory & Darcy set) with Versafine Clair ink - Nocturne. I stamped the Once Upon a Dream sentiment, also using Versafine Clair ink. The paper is the Starbright paper. It is originally 7.5 x 5, but I cut it down to 6.25 x 5 to fit into an existing envelope I have. This left me room to mat it with 2 different colors on my card base. There were 4 sheets of paper in the Starbright package. Look for it on future cards, too!
That's it for me for this challenge. I hope to see something from you! These Lavinia stamps are so gorgeous, and so fun to play with! Visit the Lavinia World store, do some shopping, and join in on our Lavinia World challenges. I'd love to see your magical creations!
