Hello, Friend! It's time for a new challenge at Di's Digi Designs Challenges, and a mouse and butterfly have become the best of friends today! The theme for the next 2 weeks is "hand colored images", so link up anything that you color, with whatever is your medium of choice.
This card uses Mushroom Mouse. It is available in both black & white and colored, but of course, for this challenge, you'll want the black & white variety.
I colored Mushroom Mouse with Copic markers. There are signs of Autumn showing up in the trees and plants where I live, so I was striving for Autumn colors in Mushroom Mouse.
The papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop. They are the Fairy Delight papers. I used 4 of the papers from the pack on this card.
The fun woodland/mushroom border and falling leaf is a die from Craftin' Desert Divas. She just closed her business. I will miss her fun dies.
The last few days I have had the most fantastic butterfly in my yard. It is similar to a Tiger Swallowtail, only bigger, and the markings aren't quite right. It loops along, flying in the breeze, and brings me such joy! Two days ago, there were 8 Blue Jays trying to catch it, but it eluded them all. I was so pleased to see it the next day!
Check out all the wonderful stamps and digis at Di's Digi Stamps Store. Purchase something that strikes your fancy, color it up, and enter our 'hand colored image' challenge. You have 2 weeks!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Outlawz Twisted Thursday -- Stitching Real or Faux (in this case, faux)
QKR Stampede -- ATG
DigiChoosday -- ATG
Animal Friends Challenge -- ATG
2 Craft Critter Crazies Challenge -- ATG with a critter
I have this blog as a place to share my creative self -- be it card making, music playing, scrapbooking, altered art, home decor, or whatever direction my art takes me. My dogs are always a part of my home life, so they have to be a part of my blog, too.

Lucky I Have You -- for Scrapy Land Challenges
It's the first Wednesday in September, and we're starting a new challenge today over at the Scrapy Land Challenge Blog. We've started switching things up a bit, and we're now giving away one $15 gift certificate chosen by Random.org. The design team chooses top 3 and honorable mentions.
Dies can add that decorative touch to a card that takes it from "that's nice" to "oh, my!" That's what happened with today's card. I used 3 stitched border dies found in the Scrapy Land Store, and it added that "wow" factor to my card:
I used Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Border Dies, using 3 different dies on 3 different designer papers. I colored my image first, found papers that matched my coloring, then picked the Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Border Dies to match the papers and image. I really liked the way it "spiced up" the card.
The papers on the card are from the We Are 3 Digital Shop. The sentiment is an acrylic stamp from Close To My Heart, and the pearls are from my stash. Oh, and the cute image is from Polkadoodles, colored with Copic markers.
Scrapy Land products used on this card:
I hope you are able to join us at the Scrapy Land Challenge Blog. Our challenges are Anything Goes, as long as you use a die found in the Scrapy Land Store. Scrapy Land sells many brands of dies, so chances are, you already own one! Make something and link up! I'd love to see what you create!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
DigiChoosday -- ATG
Crafty Sentiments -- ATG
Lemon Shortbread -- ATG
Polkadoodles Challenge -- ATG
A Gem of a Challenge -- ATG
D.L. Art -- September Linky Party
Outlawz Twisted Thursday -- Stitching Real or Faux (faux, in this case)

No Chocolate in Heaven?!? for Bugaboo Stamps
It's Tuesday, and that is New Release day at Bugaboo Stamps, or in today's case, it's re-release of a great Oldie that you might not have seen in awhile. This digi sums up a common philosophy I have about heaven!
This is Ruby - No Chocolate in Heaven, floating on her cloud, and philosophizing about a life well lived. You gotta love Ruby!
I colored Ruby - No Chocolate in Heaven with Copic markers, then used several Spellbinders dies to cut her out and create the card shape.
I used the current sketch at the Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge to jump start my creativity. Here it is:
Today is the last day of the challenge, so I'm sneaking in under the wire on this one.
Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop. The cloud paper is from the Back to Basics Collection, and the bright pink paper is from the Garden Dance Collection.
I tried making a Hershey's Kiss to use as an embellishment, but it ended up looking like the emoticon for a pile of poop, so I opted for chocolate ribbon instead! Much more appealing to the eye!
Ruby - No Chocolate in Heaven -- she's 1/2 price this week, so head on over to the Bugaboo Store! Then, head to the Catch the Bug Blog to see what the other uber talented Bugaboo Stamps DT did with this fantastic stamp!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge -- ends Sept. 3
D.L. Art -- September Linky Party
Make My Monday Challenge -- use shapes on your card
ART-astic Challenge Blog -- use humor
Outlawz Monday Challenge -- Layers

Never Stop Exploring - for the Path of Positivity and Bugaboo
It's the first Monday of the month, and it's time for a new challenge at the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog. Bugaboo Stamps is one of our sponsors this month, and I'm on the Bugaboo design team, so I'm doubling up and posting this on the Catch the Bug blog also.
We're also sponsored by Scribbles Designs each month, with a chance to win a gift certificate from them each month, just for following our theme and linking up.
Speaking of themes, they are optional. This month's optional theme is "curiosity". You can follow that theme, or link up any positive themed project you'd like.
Bugaboo Stamps has a stamp for anything you can imagine. Even curiosity!
Since school started late last week in the small town where I live, I made a bookmark with this cute, cute image. This is Bugaboo Stamps digi, Knobby Knees Girl Bugs, colored with Copic markers.
I used a few different dies to make this bookmark. The largest tag die is from Paper Wishes. The smaller tag, including the piece where the computer generated sentiment is, was purchased in the Dies R Us Store are by Creative Expressions. The pretty dragonfly die is from Cheery Lynn. I used a foil stamp and foil machine to create the background on the large tag.
It's Anything But a Card day today at Catch the Bug. Check out what the other Bugaboo Stamps designer created today.
Join us this month at the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog for our optional themed curiosity challenge. I'd love to see what you make!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Pink Gem Challenge -- ATG
Crafts Galore Encore -- ATG
Outlawz Saturday Paper ala Mode -- Craft your Hobby

A Krafty Snowman -- for the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up
September 1 -- a new month, and another month closer to Christmas! If you make any Christmas cards this month, link them up over at the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up. You can link up any themed card, but we do have alternate themes. If you want to win this month's featured paper pack, you need to use the alternate theme -- Kraft paper -- somewhere on your card.
Our sponsor this month is Pattie's Creations. I colored up this darling Snowman 1, knowing it would look wonderful on Kraft paper!
Was I right? Isn't Snowman 1 adorable? I love the look of colored pencils on Kraft paper, so I colored Snowman 1 with Faber Castell colored pencils.
We are sponsored every month by Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. Lisa creates the papers you can win for following the alternate theme. The word art paper that I used as the background paper on this card is from her Snow Much Fun kit.
I used the current sketch at the Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge on this. Here's the sketch:
I used several dies from Spellbinders dies for the circles and the scalloped circles. The snowflakes are cut out with dies from Lawn Fawn.
As you make Christmas cards this month, don't forget to link up at The 12 Months of Christmas, and make a Kraft card or 2! You'll want to win our great prizes from our wonderful sponsors!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge --ends Sept. 3
Outlawz Festive Fridays -- Christmas
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge -- ATG

With Sympathy -- for SheepSki Designs
It's September 1st, and it's time for another challenge at SheepSki Designs Challenge Blog. The challenges go for a month, and this month, the theme is "Die Cuts &/or Punches." I don't have many punches anymore, but I surely do own dies. I used several on this card featuring Lily Jug from SheepSki Designs:
I colored Lily Jug with Copic markers, hoping to make my lilies look like tiger lilies. I hope I succeeded!
To make sure the card fit this month's "Die cut or punches" theme, I used several sizes of a die set from Spellbinders to cut out the Lily Jug image and to back it.
I'm forever in need of sympathy cards, so I chose an appropriate, "with sympathy" sentiment for this. I thought it went nicely with the Lily Jug.
The papers on this card are from the We Are 3 Digital Shop. The orange paper is from the Back to Basics Collection. The blue background paper with writing on it is from the Snowmen paper collection.
Finishing off the card is the pretty blue ribbon. It's from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I hope you join us this month at SheepSki Designs Challenge Blog for our 'Add Die Cuts &/or Punches' challenge. You have all month, and you can win Andrea North's wonderful digis as prizes -- like this one!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Stamping Sensations -- ATG with Flowers
Lil Patch of Crafty Friends -- ATG
QKR Stampede -- ATG
Outlawz Festive Fridays -- ATG

So Pretty --for All Dressed Up Stamps
It's September 1, and that means it's time for a new challenge over in the All Dressed Up Facebook Group. This month's theme is "Add a Flower." Wendy Burns has so many girly images, and any one of them work beautifully with this add a flower theme! Check them out in her All Dressed Up Stamps Etsy Shop here.
I used the very sweet digital stamp entitled "So Pretty" for my DT inspiration this month:
I colored So Pretty with Copic markers, then used All Dressed Up digital papers to create the card. Did you know All Dressed Up Stamps has digital paper? This card uses papers from 2 different packs -- the Girl papers and the Wedding papers.
I used several sizes of a Spellbinders oval stitched die, then added some paper flowers purchased at Really Reasonable Ribbon to finish off my card.
So Pretty was so fun to color up and design with! All Dressed Up Stamps bring me such joy. I hope you find time to enter the "Add a Flower" challenge in the All Dressed Up Facebook Group this month. I'd love to see your creations, too. Check out the All Dressed Up Challenge Blog for even more prizes, inspiration, and fun.
