Howdy! for Dies R Us Inspiration Blog

Howdy, fellow crafters!  I'm on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog today, which means I've been playing with awesome dies!

When Dies R Us ran a special a while back on some Cheery Lynn dies, I grabbed a Clarabell the Cow die.  I live in Wisconsin, the dairy state, so it was a must have!  The die is no longer in stock, but Dies R Us carries many other wonderful Cheery Lynn dies.
.

Here are the supplies I used:

I cut out Clarabell the Cow (here's a link to a similar Cheery Lynn die, Thomas the Turtle).  Next, I cut out a Memory Box Wrapped Stitch Rectangle.
Here's everything cut out, needing to be assembled:

The cow needed some eyes, so I used a Viva Decor Turquoise Pearl Pen.
Everything got glued down with the Best Glue Ever.

The fun cow print paper is from Imagine That Digistamp, and the checked ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

When you drink some milk or eat some ice cream, think of me here in the Dairy State, and say, Howdy!

Don't forget to come join in the fun at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog.  There's a new challenge theme offered on the 1st and 15th of each month and one lucky randomly drawn winner will receive a gift voucher prize to the Dies R Us Store.  For your convenience, all the important Dies R Us links are provided below.

So Good -- for Di's Digi Designs Challenge Blog

It's Saturday, and it's so good!  It's Saturday, and it's time for a new challenge at Di's Digi Designs Challenges.  For the next 2 weeks, the theme is "sweet summertime."  Fun, fun, fun!   Di has many great images in the Di's Digistamp store that will work for that theme!

I used Drinky Mice for 2 ( the black & white version) to create this:

I colored Drinky Mice for 2 with Copic markers.  It was much fun to color!

I found these great lemonade papers at AMB Illustrations.   I cut out the fruit and glass embellishments on my Silhouette Cameo 3 with files I found in the Silhouette Design Store.  The sentiment is part of a set from Close To My Heart.  I used this month's sketch from Cheerful Sketches, so I will link up there.

"Sweet Summertime" -- it's a great theme for the next 2 weeks, isn't it?  Color up any image that means summer to you, and link it up at Di's Digi Designs Challenges.  We've got great prizes you can win -- like this one!

You Simply Sparkle - for Aloha Friday Challenges

It's Friday, and it's time for a new challenge at Aloha Friday Challenges.  For the next 2 weeks, we are being sponsored by We Are 3 Digital Shop.  Bonnie has been kind enough to make a set of papers just for this challenge.  You can get them for free if you make a Christmas project and link up at Aloha Friday Challenges, or she is selling these paper in the We Are 3 Shop for only $1.  Aren't they beautiful?  I think they are perfect for any summertime project!  The papers are called Honeycomb, and I created this card with them:

This adorable bumble bee image is from QKR Stampede.  I colored up the bumble bee with Copic markers.  The sentiment is from a stamp company, Market Street Stamps, that is no longer in business.

I used this week's sketch from Sketch Saturday to create this card.  Here's the sketch:
I included a couple of stick pins on this card so I can enter it in this month's Crash Your Stash challenge at The Outlawz.

I hope you join us at The Aloha Friday Challenges the next 2 weeks.  There's a Christmas in July theme going on.  Join us and get  these beautiful papers for free!

You're Amazing -- for Scribbles Designs

It's the 23rd of the month (these months go by so fast!), so this is the day that I have some inspiration on the Scribbles Designs Blog

I've been gravitating towards black and bright pink lately, so I did the same combination again for today's card.  I used a free image from the Scribbles Store called Sunny Flower, and created this:

I colored Sunny Flower (free) with Copic markers, then used a sentiment stamp from Close To My Heart.  It is acrylic.   The black and white flowered background paper is a new release this month from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  It is one of the Coneflower Love papers.  It, and the raspberry colored banner are cut out with dies from Avery Elle.  I kept this card flat for easy mailing.

That's it for today's DT inspiration on the Scribbles Designs Blog.  Check out what the other designers have to share.  You won't be disappointed!

You're Stinkin' Cute -- for Dies R Us

A happy hello, fellow crafters.  I'm on the Dies R Us Inspiration blog today.  I love my days on the Dies R Us blog, because it means I get to play with the wonderful dies found in the Dies R Us Store.  There are more than 55 companies available in the Dies R Us store, so that's a lot of dies to play with!

I love Lawn Fawn, and Distress Oxide inks, so I combined 2 of my loves on today's card:

Stinkin' cute, isn't it?

Let me show you how I made it.

First, the supplies I used (they'll be linked at the bottom of this post):

I started out with 2 colors if Distress Oxide ink -- Spun Sugar, and Squeezed Lemonade.  I worked roughly on the diagonal.  I used a piece of paper larger than I would need so I'd have some room to play with:

Then, while the ink dried, I stamped my skunk and heart, and used Copic markers to color them up. You'll see my "oops" on the heart stamp, so I stamped it again.

After I got them colored the way I liked them, it was time to use the matching die cuts, and a scallop edge die cut, also from Lawn Fawn:

Below, is everything die cut, and the background paper that I used.

All that's left is to stamp the sentiment, add some twine, and assemble the card.

Dies R Us Store supplies used:

I hope you have a stinkin' great day!

No Goats, No Glory! - an All Dressed Up New Release

Today is a fun day!  I'm playing in a string trio at a wedding today (I'm the pianist).  I've known the young man getting married since he was in grade school.  He's now in med school.  Oh, I feel old at times!

Today's a fun day!  It's the day that this month's New Releases at All Dressed Up Stamps are showcased in the All Dressed Up Facebook Group.  There are some wonderful ones -- again!

Today's a fun day!  I had so much fun coloring Billy Goat and designing this card:

I colored Billy Goat with Copic markers. The sentiment is part of a Technique Tuesday acrylic stamp set.  Those fun papers, with a bit of a farm-like feel, are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are the Howdy papers

The other new releases (there are 4 of them) will all be showcased in the All Dressed Up Facebook Group today.  I hope you take a look, and I hope you enter this month's challenge - the theme is "for the boys".

Floral Bouquet Congrats -- for Aloha Friday Challenges

It's Friday, and today, it's time for some mid-challenge inspiration on the Aloha Friday Challenge Blog. This time, the theme is "Congratulations".  Our sponsors are Oddball Art and Sparkle N Sprinkle

I used a Sparkle N Sprinkle image I've had in my stash called Daisies Digital Stamp Set to create this:

I colored Daisies (no longer available) with Copic markers, then found a 'congrats' acrylic stamp in my stash to use in the corner.  The light pink card stock and black polka dot designer paper are from Spellbinders.

I'm going to a wedding tomorrow, and this card will be going with, along with a gift.  It's not a traditional wedding card, but I think they'll like it.

"Congratulations" - it's an easy theme -- graduation, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, baby cards, new home, you get the idea.  Make a project, link up at Aloha Friday Challenges, and you could win one of the awesome prizes from our wonderful sponsors.  This challenge goes through Thursday, June 20.

Hello Summer -- for Bugaboo Stamps

It's Friday!  It's the first day of summer!  The only thing that could make that better is that it's Freebie Friday at Bugaboo Stamps.  Today's freebie is just so. darn. CUTE!

This is Mouse - Big Flower, all ready for the summer:

I colored Mouse - Big Flower with Copic Markers, then used a die set from Avery Elle to create the card.  The papers and sentiment are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  The papers are a new release this month.  They are the Coneflower Love papers, and the sentiment, also a new release, is one of the Itty Bitty Summer sentiments.  Speaking of itty bitty -- that itty bitty touch of ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I hope you visit the Catch the Bug blog to see what the other designers did with this adorable freebie.  Then, go to the Bugaboo Stamps store and pick it up for free.  Do some shopping while you are there.  There's so much wonderful goodness in that store!  Visit the Catch the Bug blog again tomorrow for the Catch the Bug challenge.  Fun, fun, fun!

Dream -- for Lavinia World Challenges

Here it is, time for the 3rd challenge at Lavinia World Challenge Blog already!  Time does fly by when you are having fun, and I hope you are having as much fun as I am!  Lavinia Stamps are awesome, and you can purchase them at Lavinia World, the #1 US retailer.

I recently saw this northern lights technique, and thought it would work perfectly on a card with Lavinia Stamps.  I paired it with Fairy Dust Silhouette and created this:

The Fairy Dust Silhouette looks good against the northern lights, doesn't she?  I used a variety of inks from Close To My Heart to achieve the effect, then added the stars with a white gel pen.

The 'dream' sentiment is part of the Lavinia Stamps sentiment, Once upon a Dream.  I only inked up the last word in the sentiment, and heat embossed it with white embossing powder.

Please -- 'Like' Lavinia World on Facebook
Follow Lavinia World on Instagram, and don't forget to include #laviniaworldstore on your projects, and tag us at @laviniaworldstore so we can be sure to see and comment on your Lavinia World projects!

Berry Best Wishes -- for Scrapy Land Challenge Blog

It's challenge time!  It's the 3rd Wednesday of the month, and that means it's time for a new challenge at the Scrapy Land Challenge Blog.  Challenges are always Anything Goes, as long as you use a die that Scrapy Land sells.  There are over 55 companies carried in the Scrapy Land Store, so that should be easy!

It's almost strawberry season here in Wisconsin where I live.  In preparation for the joy of the season, I created this card, using an Impression Obsession Strawberry Basket die set.

Doesn't that just make your mouth water?  The circle die behind the  strawberry basket is similar to the Sue Wilson Designs - Noble Collection - Double Stitched Circles.  The sentiment is stamped on to a banner die, similar to the EK Success Cutter Bee Die Set - Banners.

Each time, there are 2 winners at the Scrapy Land Challenges.  Each one wins a $10 gift certificate to the ScrapyLand Store, so get creating!  I'd love to see what you make!

What a Catch! for Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez

June -- the month of Father's Day, graduations, and here in WI, free fishing day!  I have a card today that celebrates the love of fishing.  I live in a very small city that is surrounded by 6 lakes.  We fish.  We fish year round, and we celebrate all things fishing.  That's why I fell in love with this wonderful Seagull Fishing digital image from Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez.

I colored up Seagull Fishing with Copic markers.   I cut out the fish border at the bottom of the card with my Silhouette Cameo 3 with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store.  I added eyes to the fish with a Viva Decor Pearl Pen in Anthracite.

The fish paper on the left of the card was found at Pixel Scrapper.  It is digital.  I computer generated the sentiment, and cut it out with a Diamond Press die.

You can find many wonderful digital and acrylic stamps in the Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez Store. She also has a Zazzle store, some personal items for sale, and her beautiful cards.  If you haven't already, join the Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez Facebook Group for a monthly challenge, friendship, and inspiration.

Hang in There -- for the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog

It's the 3rd Monday of the month, so it's time for some mid-month inspiration at the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog. The optional theme this month is 'Encouragement'.  Our awesome sponsor is SheepSki Designs. I used the very fun Hanging Around to create this:

I'm sending this to a 98 year old friend that has had to go into a rehab unit for some therapy.  He's hoping to gain strength and go back to live with his daughter, but he knows at 98, he has his work cut out for him.

I colored Hanging Around with Copic markers, then computer generated the sentiment.  The animal print paper is from Imagine That Digistamp.  The glimmer trim on the left side is from Close To My Heart, and the pretty pink bow comes from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Encouragement -- it's the optional theme this month at The Path of Positivity.  You can always enter any positive project you create.  If you follow the optional theme, you could win a gift certificate from our awesome sponsor, SheepSki Designs.  I hope you join us!

Hello Friend -- Outlawz Progressive Freebie

Hello, friend!  I have a quick post, using the Outlawz progressive freebie for this month, a new release paper from We Are 3 Digital Shop, and the current sketch at the Outlawz:
This is Nadia, by MMedel, and is the current freebie at the Outlawz Progressive Freebie Challenge. I colored her with Copic markers.

I used the current sketch at the Outlawz Wednesday Sketch challenge to create this card.  Here's the sketch:

Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are the Watermelon papers, and are a new release this month. The sentiment is also a new release.  It is one of the Itty Bitty Summer sentiments

Wine O'Clock Birthday Wishes -- for Sasayaki Glitter

It's the 15th of the month, and that means it's time to feature Oldies but Goodies at Sasayaki Glitter Stamps. We're re-visiting The Boys this month, and I chose to color up and create with Wine O'Clock

Wine O'Clock reminds me of that saying, "it's 5 O'Clock somewhere!".  I colored Wine O'Clock with Copic markers, and fussy cut it,  then set out to find some wine related papers to create with.  I found this wine glass paper at Pixel Scrapper.  The wine glass die cuts are a die from Technique Tuesday.  The tag behind Wine O'Clock is from Close To My Heart.  The banner that I stamped the sentiment on is from Diamond Press.

There will be other Oldie but Goodie boy images featured today at the Sasayaki Glitter Blog, so I hope you check it out here.  You'll find even more great inspiration in the Sasayaki Glitter Facebook Group

Hello Summer -- for Di's Digi Designs Challenges

It's Saturday, and it's time for a new challenge at Di's Digi Designs Challenges.  The theme for the next 2 weeks is "add a sun".  That's a great theme for so close to the start of summer!

I used the darling Poppy Mouse to create this:

I colored Poppy Mouse with Copic markers.  I used several sizes of Spellbinders dies to create the card base and layers.  The sun paper and ombre shades were found at Pixel Scrapper.  The 'Hello Summer' sentiment is a new release at We Are 3 Digital Shop.  It is one of the sentiments found in the Itty Bitty Summer sentiment set. There are 8 sentiments in the set.

The crinkle ribbon is from a company that is no longer in business  -- 3 Girl JAM.  Fortunately, I still have quite a stockpile!

I cut out the sun on my Silhouette Cameo with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store. That sun is spreading warmth and good cheer to that adorable Poppy Mouse

The current challenge at Di's Digi Design Challenges run through June 28, so I hope you find time to join us!  I'd love to see your sunny creations, and we've got the cutest digis you could win for prizes -- like this one!

Hello Friend, Hello Friday -- for Bugaboo Stamps

It's Friday, It's Friday, It's Friday!  That means there's a new freebie available at Bugaboo Stamps!  I love coloring flowers, so I really like this week's Freebie Friday!

This is Flower Pots, colored with Copic markers.  I used a sketch from this week's Sketch Saturday sketch to construct this card.  Here's the sketch:

Papers for this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  I gathered from several different collections.  I used 32 papers from Bird's View  (shades of blue and green). The pink paper is from the Peonies Ballet collection.  The 'Hello Friend'  is part of the Itty Bitty Summer sentiment set.  The metal dragonfly is from my stash.

Summer Rose -- at Catch the Bug

It's Oldie but Goodie day over on the the Catch the Bug Blog, and I always enjoy posting on Thursday, as Bugaboo Stamps has enough wonderful Oldie but Goodie stamps to keep me going for months -- probably years!  I found this beautiful Rose Watering Can that I just had to color up in celebration of summer.

I colored the Rose Watering Can with Copic Markers.  Isn't it pretty?  I just love a rusty watering can.  It looks just like one I have here at home.

The papers and sentiment on this step card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are both new releases in June.  The papers are from the Cone Flower Love paper collection (I used 3 of them on this card), and the sentiment is part of the Itty Bitty Summer sentiments.

I hope you have time to check out what the other designers made for Oldie But Goodie Thursday.  Then, come back to the Catch the Bug Blog tomorrow for Freebie Friday.  You won't be disappointed!  Pick up the freebie and enter it in Saturday's challenge!  Visit that Catch the Bug Blog everyday for inspiration and fun.  Don't forget about the Bugaboo Stamps Fan Group on Facebook, too!

Hello Friend -- for We Are 3 Digital Shop

Hello, Friend!  Did you know today is National BFF Day?  It seemed like the right day to make a card that celebrated friendship, so that's just what I did!

I've been looking for an excuse to color up the beautiful Coneflower image found in the We Are 3 Digital Shop.  It is one of this month's New Releases.  Coneflower comes in a black & white version, a pre-colored version, but also a faux metallic version (looks embossed).  I colored up the black & white version and paired it with the new Coneflower Love papers to create this:

I used Copic colors on the Coneflower image that would match the Coneflower Love papers, but I think the Coneflower image could be colored in many different color options.  The sentiment, also a new release this month, is from the Itty Bitty Summer Sentiment Collection

I used the sketch from this time's sketch at The Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge to help me with this card.  Here's the sketch:

As you can see, I followed it pretty closely.  I like to work from sketches, and often play at The Outlawz.

The We Are 3 Digital Shop is having a sale this weekend. Join the Passionate Paper Creations group to get and use the coupon.
