It's Friday! and it's Friends With Flair

Since my father died a month ago today, it seems like I've been needing more than enough sympathy cards.  The one I'm sharing today is for a DT sister on one of the teams I'm on. I realized anew the importance of  sympathy cards and the handmade ones I recently received were, of course, my favorites.  So, I set to work making this one:

I used the Unity Sentiment Kit, "May Hope Sustain You".  I used Marvy Uchida brush art markers on the image to get the different colors.  The sentiment is stamped with Close To My Heart Barn Red Ink. Papers are by My Mind's Eye and so are the Enamel Dots. Both are from the Collectable collection.  The ribbon is some I've had forever  -- maybe Fancy Pants? I used several Spellbinders dies and a CTMH corner rounder on this card, too.
Have a great weekend, everyone! I hope you find some time to get inky!
I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Sweet Stamps monthly challenge -- inking stamps with markers
4 Crafty Chicks -- use polka dots
Just Be Creative Crazy -- April Linky Party
D.L. Art -- April linky challenge
Emergency Crafters -- polka dot

  3. Wonderful card! I wouldn't think to use brighter colors for a sympathy card but it works. And, the reason for a sympathy card is to try to make someone feel a little better and this card definitely accomplishes that.
