Merry & Bright -- for 12 Months of Christmas

Here we are at the mid-point of May already! That means it's time for some new inspiration on the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up.  Our optional theme this month is Christmas Critters.  Our wonderful sponsor is DeeDee's Digis.

Here's what I created:

This DeeDee's Digis image and sentiment is called Merry & Bright. I used the uncolored image, and colored it myself with Copic markers, then used a die to cut it into a tag.  

The penguin background paper is designed by Lisa Decosse for this challenge. It is one of the papers in the Christmas Critters papers set.  Check out her blog at Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. 

I also used a textured paper from Lisa's Textured Papers Set. 

I used a scallop edge punch from Close To My Heart for the edge of the card.  The shimmer trim is also from CTMH.  The Cherry Red baker's twine is from Timeless Twine.
