It's Friday, and it's time for a new challenge at Colour Crazy Challenges. This week, our sponsor is Oddball Art Stamp Company.
Here's my design team inspiration:
I colored up Kawaii Valentine Giraffe with Copic markers, using various shades of yellows and browns.
I found the fun giraffe print paper at Imagine That Digistamp. She has some really great papers, including animal prints. The heart bow is a die, but I have had it for a long time, and don't know who's it is. Spellbinders, maybe. I used an unbranded die for the border on the right of each paper.
That's it for this card. Please link up whatever you color over at the Color Crazy Challenge. I'd love to see what you create!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
D.L. Art - August Linky Party
Brown Sugar Challenge --ATG
August Oddball Challenge--Sweet or Sour (this guy is definitely sweet!)
Outlawz Monday Greeting Challenge -- ATG
I have this blog as a place to share my creative self -- be it card making, music playing, scrapbooking, altered art, home decor, or whatever direction my art takes me. My dogs are always a part of my home life, so they have to be a part of my blog, too.

Indra -- for Lavinia World Challenges
It's Thursday, and it's time for a new challenge at Lavinia World Challenges. It's challenge #8! Challenges are Anything Goes, as long as you use an acrylic or rubber stamp. Lavinia Stamps are not a requirement, however, if you do use a Lavinia Stamp in your project, your chances are doubled or winning a prize of a gift certificate to the Lavinia World store, based in the US.
I used an absolutely gorgeous stamp on my DT card for today. It is called simply, Indra. Butterfly? Luna moth? You decide. I will call it a luna moth in my description in this post.
This Indra stamp is large -- over 4 inches square, so I felt it was the only thing needed (well almost) on this card:
I used a stamp platform to make sure I'd have a crisp image of Indra, and stamped the luna moth with Versafine Clair ink - Nocturne, which also helps assure a crisp image. I used 3 colors of Distress Oxide Inks -- Shaded Lilac, Tumbled Glass, and Spun Sugar. After that, all that was left to do was add some pearls from my stash.
That's it for me for this challenge. I hope to see something from you! These Lavinia stamps are so gorgeous, and so fun to play with! Visit the Lavinia World store, do some shopping, and join in on our Lavinia World challenges. I'd love to see your magical creations!

Thanks for Sticking by Me -- for We Are 3 Digital Shop
I'm posting today for We Are 3 Digital Shop, where you can find papers, images, and sentiments for almost anything you could want.
I have friends that go to Arizona every Winter. He has RA, and the winters here in Wisconsin get the best of him, so they escape the cold and enjoy the warmer, drier climate of the desert southwest. Recently, they helped us out with some clean up of our property, and I needed a thank you card for them.
This card uses plenty of We Are 3 products. The cactus is called Camille's Cactus, and it comes in both a pre-colored and a black & white version. I used the pre-colored version on this card. I printed Camille's Cactus on a piece of paper from the Coneflower Love Collection. The cactus paper is one of the 8 papers that come in the Cactus Paper Collection. The sentiment is one of 6 sentiments in the Cactus Greetings Set.
I used the current sketch at the Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge to help me construct this card. Here's the sketch:
I cut the stitched oval shape and scalloped oval shape out with dies from Spellbinders. The small cactus die with the flower is from Craftin' Desert Divas.
I hope you can check out the We Are 3 Facebook Group for more inspiration.
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge -- through Sept. 3

Thank You Heart Card
I'm posting today on the Dies R Us Inspiration blog. I love it when I have a chance to create with dies as the focus. It gives me a chance to stretch my creative wings a bit.
Do you ever take advantage of the pre-orders and specials offered through the Dies R Us Store? There are some awesome things to take advantage of! I recently discovered Birch Press Designs during one of these pre-order events. These dies are awesome! Be watching for them!
I used all 3 layers of the Birch Press Designs Amour Arch to create this:
I used 3 different shades of pink -- a light pink, mauve, and eggplant to create the layered arch. I was concerned it might be difficult to line up, but I lined up the 2 small hearts on the outside, and that lined up the whole thing. It was really easy! I glued all the layers together using Scraperfect Best Glue Ever and the medium No Clog Writing Cap.
The sentiment I used is by Crafter's Companion, but is similar to this one, by Poppy Stamps. I like the look of sentiments that are die cut, then have a shadow layer behind them. I used Stick It Adhesive Sheets on the sentiment and the layer behind it.
I added some Liquid Pearls to the card for a little more Bling. Dies R Us carries many great colors of Liquid Pearls. The ones on this care are White Opal.
Here's a picture of all the supplies I used. You can see what the package of the Birch Press Amour Arch dies look like.
Here's all the die cuts once they are cut out, but not yet assembled:

RAWR!!!!! for Sketch Saturday
It's Saturday, and that means it's time for a new sketch at Sketch Saturday. Every Saturday, a new sketch to give your creativity a boost.
Our sponsor this week is Polkadoodles. I used an image and papers from the Sticks & Bones Collection.
First the card, then the sketch:
sketch:
You can see I followed the sketch fairly closely, except I moved the arrow to the upper left, and the sentiment is within the inner rectangle.
I colored the woolly mammoth with Copic markers. Who really knows what color they were, right? They've been extinct for so long, they could {possible} have been pink? I'm the artist, and I say pink! I cute the letters out with dies from Spellbinders, and the wood arrow is from Close To My Heart (retired).

Sorry! for Di's Digi Designs Challenges
It's Saturday, and it's time for a new challenge at Di's Digi Designs Challenges. Our theme for the next 2 weeks is, Ribbon &/or Bows. I think many card makers use ribbon on cards, and like bows, so this should be easy! Di Carubia has the sweetest, cutest images in her store, Di's Digi Stamps. Snoop around the store, find something you like, color it up, and join our Ribbon &/or Bows challenge.
My inspiration card for this challenge uses the sweet image, Penny's Bouquet.
I colored Penny's Bouquet with Copic markers, then used several sizes of Spellbinders dies to create the card base and cut out Penny's Bouquet.
The blue-on-blue and pink-on-pink dotted papers are from AMB Illustrations. The pink dotted ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Ribbon &/or Bows -- the theme for the next 2 weeks at Di's Digi Designs Challenges. You have until Sept. 6 to join us. I'd love to see what you create, and there are great digis for you to win!

Back to School -- for Scribbles Designs
It's the 23rd of the month, and it's the day I leave some inspiration on the Scribbles Designs Blog. School is starting on Monday in the small town where I live, and everywhere I go, the talk is about "back to school." With that in mind, I created this card:
This is is looooooong. It fits in a business sized envelope. It measures 4 x 8.5 inches.
The cute fish were created using the #F88 Bubbles. It is a free image in the Scribbles Designs Store. I first placed Bubbles in my photo editing software so I could flip it 180 degrees. Then, I placed Bubbles in my documents program so I could copy and re-size the fish to make the "school", and adding the sentiment. Once I got things sized the way I wanted, all that was left was coloring the school of Bubbles with Copic markers.
I found the orange and green papers I was looking for in the We Are 3 Digital Shop. They are from the Orange Retro papers and the Distressed Burlap papers.
I cut the card base and the fish elements out on my Silhouette Cameo 3 with files I found in the Silhouette Design Store.
I hope you find time to visit the Scribbles Designs Blog. You'll find more inspiration there, along with fun challenges each month. Then, visit the Scribbles Designs Store for great digis, including this freebie!

Party Pigs -- for Bugaboo Stamps
It's Friday! It's Friday, it's Friday! That means there's a freebie up for grabs at Bugaboo Stamps. Every Friday. Grab that freebie!
Today's Friday Freebie is Party Pig Trio:
I colored up Party Pig Trio with Copic markers. Just what shade of Copic marker would you use for a pig, anyway? I went with R01, R02, and R05, if you like the look. I stamped the sentiment directly below the Party Pig Trio with an acrylic stamp from Close To My Heart.
Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop. The background paper is from the Cupcake Toppers paper pack. The pink paper is from the Party Celebrations collection. The gems were from my stash.
Check out what the other talented designers did with today's freebie over at Catch the Bug blog. Then, grab today's freebie. You'll be ready for tomorrow's challenge!

Flowers for You -- a Re-release at All Dressed Up Stamps
It's the 22nd of the month -- the day the new releases (or in this case, re-releases) are showcased in the All Dressed Up Facebook Group. There are 4 wonderful stamps that had been retired, but were brought back by popular request this month. You'll find them all, plus many other wonderful All Dressed Up Digital Stamps in Wendy's Etsy Shop.
I had the absolute pleasure ofworking playing with "Flowers For You." I colored her up and created this:
I colored Flowers for You with Copic markers, then used a variety of dies from Spellbinders to design the card front and card base. The gems are from my stash.
I'm so excited that this stamp was re-released! It was one of the first All Dressed Up Stamps I purchased many years ago, and it was so fun to color her up again!
Come join the challenge in the All Dressed Up Facebook Group. This month's time is Fantasy/Wings. I'd love to see what you create!

Sunshine Smiles -- for Scrapy Land Challenges
It's the 3rd Wednesday of the month, so that can only mean one thing: it's time for a new challenge over on the Scrapy Land Challenge Blog! The challenges are always Anything Goes, as long as you use a brand of die that is sold in the Scrapy Land Store (there are over 55 brands for sale, so this is easy!). There is 1 winner each challenge for a $15 gift certificate. Design team members choose their top 3 favorites. Phew! Got all the technical stuff out of way, so on to my card!
Summer is going fast. Already the days are much shorter and the nights are cooler. So, I thought I better celebrate summer while it's here with this fun shaker card:
The sunglasses shaker was made with a kit from Queen and Company. It comes with 3 dies, the adhesive foam, and matching acetate shapes. The label die behind it and the sun and circle die are from Spellbinders.
The 'smile' sentiment sticker, papers, and paper rose are all from my stash.
I hope you can join us at Scrapy Land Challenges. Each challenge runs for 2 weeks, so you've got plenty of time!

To the Beach -- for the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog
It's the 3rd Monday of the month, so it's time for some mid-month inspiration over on the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog. The optional twist this month is: relaxation. You can make a project using this optional theme, or link up any positive themed project you'd like.
One of our ongoing sponsors is Scribbles Designs. I used the very fun digi image, To the Beach to create my "relaxation" card:
I colored up the To the Beach sign with Copic markers, then cut it out. The sentiment is my own, and was computer generated. Papers on this card are from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles, and are part of her Taste of Summer kit.
I find being at the lake one of the most relaxing places to be. If I have a choice, take me to the beach!

Summer Flip Flops
I'm posting today for the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog. I love the days I post on the Dies R Us Blog. I usually color all my projects, so it's a great break to create with dies.
Summer is fast losing it's heat here in the Northland where I live, so I am clinging to every day that remains! That is what made me create this summertime card -- summer flip flops!
The Dies R Us Store has many cute flip flops that would work on this card. Just put in flip flops in the search engine and see what comes up. I liked these from Cheapo Dies. I think they would be great for a patriotic themed project, so I know I'll be using them again.
Here's a picture of the supplies I used on this card:
I had the idea in my head, but it took a lot of playing to get the shades of paper that were either bright enough of dark enough to show up the way I wanted them. I backed everything with Stick It Adhesive Sheets. If you haven't tried Stick It, I highly recommend it. It works great on small things, like words, and intricate things, like the Flip Flops. Just peel off the sticky layer, place it on the back of your paper, die cut your project, then peel off a second time to reveal the glue. It's very easy to use and you can cut it to the exact size you need!
The sentiment was created with the Impression Obsession die, Hello Summer. This has been my go-to die for summertime projects. The words are a great size! I love this die!
I used 2 dies from the Memory Box Wrapped Stitch Rectangles to mat and back the Flip Flops.
Here are photos and links of the products used in the Dies R Us Store:
Have you heard about the Design Team call for the Dies R Us Inspiration team? This is a wonderful team to be on! You can find all the details here.

Love You to the Stars & Back -- Outlawz Progressive Freebie
I try to participate in the Outlawz Progressive Freebie Challenge each month. I enjoy the variety of images we are given to work with, and the fact that we have a whole month to color them up and design something with them.
This month, the sponsor is All Dressed Up. Wendy Burns has the cutest art, so I was very excited for this one! I enjoyed creating with Stars & Back!
I colored Stars & Back with Copic markers, and added some touches with Wink of Stella pens.
Papers on this card are by We Are 3 Digital Shop. They are from the Outer Space Collection. Bonnie has a paper for every card!
I cut the stars panel out on my Silhouette Cameo 3 with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store. The light blue glitter stars are from Close To My Heart. They are part of a kit that is retired.

Once Upon a Fairy Dream -- for Lavinia World Challenges
It's the 3rd Thursday of the month, so it's time for a new challenge at the Lavinia World Challenge Blog. This is challenge #7 already! Time flies when you are having so much fun!
I love to hang clothes on the line. I think I am in the very small minority with this rather old-fashioned habit of mine, but I think it saves electricity, and I like the way they smell coming in from the line. This quaint yet quirky habit of mine may be what drew me to the Fairy Washing Line stamp. It's the focal point of today's card:
I stamped the Fairy Washing Line with Versafine Clair ink - Rain Forest, then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I stamped the Once Upon a Dream sentiment with a watermark ink pad and heat set it with white embossing powder. Next, I stamped the Stars 2 Mini repeatedly on the top 3rd of the card. I used watermark ink again, this time, heat embossing with Pearl Blue embossing powder.
Lavinia World has a great selection of Distress Oxide Inks, and I love to blend with them! On this card, I used Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Pine Needles, Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Shaded Lilac, and Stormy Sky.
I backed my stamped and inked piece with black card stock, then a designer paper from We Are 3 Digital Shop. You'll find many pretty papers there.
Do some shopping at the Lavinia World Store, then join us at Lavinia World Challenges!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Outlawz Crash Your Stash -- Embossing Powders
Word Art Wednesday -- ATG
Digichoosday -- ATG
D.L. Art -- August Linky Party
Not Just Cards -- ATG

Don't Let Life Ruffle Your Feathers -- for Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez
This is rooster:
I colored Rooster with Copic markers. I Googled photos of roosters, and there's lots of options for how to color up roosters. They are very colorful birds!
The sentiment on this card is from Technique Tuesday and is an acrylic stamp. The papers were found at Pixel Scrapper. They are part of the Petting Zoo collection.
The Outlawz Crash Your Stash Challenge is having a photo corners challenge this month. I don't own any photo corners, so I added my "homemade" one in the corner of this picture. I will enter this in that challenge.
The Kinda Cute By Patricia Alvarez Shop has many wonderful images for you to check out! Stop by and do some shopping! If you sign up for the newsletter, there is a discount coupon for you.

Ukulele Panda - for Kitty Bee Designs
I'm posting today on the Kitty Bee Designs blog, where it's my day to leave some inspiration. I love it when I have a chance to color up the adorable pandas and other cute animals in the Kitty Bee Designs Etsy Shop. Today, I had the pleasure of using the clear stamp, Ukulele Panda. I am a musician, so anything having to do with music strikes a chord with me (pun intended!). That's why the Ukulele Panda is rings just the right note with me!
This uses the clear stamp, Ukulele Panda, colored with Copic markers. It colors up very fast, and looks so cute, doesn't it?
Check this blog often for more great inspiration from the Kitty Bee Design team, and check out all of the clear stamps available in the Kitty Bee Design Etsy Shop.
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Colourific Challenge Corner -- ATG
Crafty Animals -- ATG
D.L. Art, Thankful Thursday -- Birthday
Outlawz Festive Fridays -- Birthdaty

Chillaxin' with Sketch Saturday
It's Saturday, and I'm starting today on the Sketch Saturday design team. I often use their past sketches when I need ideas to jump start a card, and I like to participate in their challenges. So, it seemed like a good fit!
There's a new challenge every week at Sketch Saturday. There are 2 teams, so I'll be posting every other Saturday. Today's challenge is sponsored by Scribbles Designs. They are offering a $10 Gift Certificate to their store.
First, my creation, and then, this week's sketch:
The image I used from Scribbles Designs is #F163 Summer Treats. It is a freebie that I found on their Challenge Blog here.
Here is this week's Sketch Saturday sketch:
As you can see, I followed the sketch very closely, except I tied some twine around the top of the image, and a bow where the twine is tied on the sketch. Other than that, I'm exactly with the sketch.
Papers on this card are from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. They are from her Taste of Summer kit.
I hope you enjoy this sketch as much as I did, and join us this week at Sketch Saturday. I'd love to see how you use it!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Outlawz Sunday Songs & Rhymes -- 4 Seasons (Summer -- Carefree Days)
Brown Sugar Challenge -- ATG
Polkadoodle Challenge -- ATG
D.L. Art -- August Linky Party

Relax! & Enjoy -- for Di's Digi Designs Challenges
It's Saturday, and it's time for a new challenge at Di's Digi Designs Challenges. Every other Saturday, a new challenge gets underway. For the next 2 weeks, the theme is 'Circles'. Interpret that any way you want, as long as there are circles somewhere on your project.
Di Carubia has the cutest images! You can find a great variety in her shop, Di's Digi Stamps. Pick something out, either color it up or but pre-colored, and join in on our challenge!
I used the adorable Henry's Hazy Days to create this for the circle challenge:
I colored Henry's Hazy Days with Copic markers, then used a variety of circle dies to create the card. The circle dies are from Lifestyle Crafts. The card base is from Tattered Lace dies.
The designer papers on this card are digital. They are from the We Are 3 Digital Shop. The outside circle (not card base) is from the Color Burst paper collection. The inner circle (next to the colored image) is from the Tea Time Collection. The sentiment is computer generated.
Circles -- it's an easy theme, so I truly hope you join us the next 2 weeks at Di's Digi Designs Challenges. Di has the cutest images to win as prizes, and I'd love to see what you create!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

D.L. Art Thankful Thursday -- Birthday
Outlawz Festive Friday -- Birthday
AUD Sentiment Challenges -- Animals + a Sentiment
