Paper Hugs -- for Crafty Sentiments

It's Friday, and I have a tutorial today for Crafty Sentiments Inspirations Blog, where I'm on my 6-month guest designer stint.  Whoop! Whoop!  I have a step-by-step tutorial for an accordion card today.
Here's the finished card:

I used Crafty Sentiments rubber stamp, "Bundle of Hearts", featuring Benson Bear on this accordion card.
Here's how I created it (all measurements are standard, not metric):
Start with a piece of 5 1/2 x 11 inch card stock.  Score it at 1 1/2 inches, 3 inches, 5 1/2 inches, and 8 inches.

Choose your papers.  Cut them at 5 1/4 x 1 3/8 inches, 5 1/4 x 2 1/4 inches, and 5 1/4 x 2 1/4 inches, and 5 1/4 x 2 3/4 inches.
Adhere in place.
Using a bone folder, score at the score lines made in the previous step.

Color your image, (I used Copic markers) and fussy cut around the circle.
Then, simply attach the circle to the front panel of the accordion card, using tape on only 1/2 the image.
The last step is the Belly Band.  You need a piece of card stock that is 7 inches by 1 1/2 inches.  Score it at 1 1/2 & 4 1/2 inches. You can leave it like this or stamp a sentiment.  I chose to decorate mine a bit by using an edger punch on it, and stamping a sentiment.
Here's the finished card one more time:

Papers on this card are from Close To My Heart.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and give it a try -- it's tons of fun!

Lucky -- for 3 Girl JAM

It's Thursday, and I always consider myself lucky when I can create and post for 3 Girl JAM.  As luck would have it, that's also the theme of this card!

There's just a "pinch" (sorry, couldn't resist) of 3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon on this card, but it's that ribbon that makes this card so special. It's from the Tie Dye 2 Bundle.
This card is a cutting file from The Cutting Cafe. You can find the file HERE.
I am, I'm lucky to know you!  Thanks for stopping by for a visit!
I want you, my loyal blog readers to know about an upcoming event.  March 20-22, I'm celebrating!  It's Julie's Blogoversary Blog Hop.  This will be the 3rd year for this annual event.  Two of the sponsors are featured on this card.  3 Girl JAM is sponsoring the event with a $20 Gift Certificate to the store.  The Cutting Cafe is sponsoring the event for any 3 files of your choice.  There's lots of other great prizes for hoppers, too.  I hope you come back and hop with my friends and I.  I'm lucky to call you friend!

50 Shades of Green -- for Snapdragon Snippets

It's Wednesday, and I have the honor of posting today for Snapdragon Snippets.  I've been playing with shades of green (Ok, it's not 50, but I got your attention, didn't I?)!  Just in time for St. Patrick's Day, too!
I have two cards, one SVG file, to share with you today:
This card can be found in the Silhouette Design Store here, or the Snapdragon Snippets Store.
I searched through my papers, finding as many shades of greens and green dot papers as I could, started cutting, and started mixing and matching.

Get Well -- for Eureka Stamps

It's Monday, and time for a new challenge at Eureka Stamps.  Today, it's Anything Goes!
I've been needing Get Well cards, so that's the theme I used this week:
This is Eureka Stamps digi, "Get Well"(digi56601).  I colored the image with Copic Markers, then fussy cut it, mounting it on black Close To My Heart card stock. The designer paper is My Mind's Eye, A Beautiful Life 6x6 pad.  The Glimmer Trim is from Close To My Heart.  The tie dye crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM. The button is from my stash.
Thanks for stopping by.  Visit the Eureka Stamps blog and link up your Anything Goes project!  You have all week!

Just Because -- for DigiStamps4Joy

Yesterday was New Release Sunday at DigiStamps4Joy.  I've been without Internet since Thursday, so I'm playing 'catch up', and getting this up a bit late.  There are some awesome new releases, and some fantastic inspiration from my fellow design teammates, so PLEASE!  Check out the DigiStamps4Joy blog and Store.
I love Daisies, and got to work with them on this card:

I colored the Daisies digi image with Prismacolor pencils. I used several Spellbinders dies to cut the image out and back it.  Papers are from the Pebbles Lakeside 12x12 Collection.  The card base and Shimmer Trim are from Close To My Heart. There's a small piece of BoBunny there, too.

Choose Happy -- for The East Wind

It's Friday, and there's a new release today.  Each Monday and Friday, Unky treats us to quirky, fun images with attitude.  Today's is no exception.  Her title is "Peace".
I colored "Peace" with Copic markers.  The designer papers behind her are from American Crafts and October Afternoon.  I used a Spellbinders label die with Kraft paper for the sentiment (by Close To My Heart).  The peacock feathers are from a Spellbinders die. the tie dye crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM

You're so Cool! for QKR Stampede

It's Friday, and it's March, so it's time for a "green" challenge at QKR Stampede.  And, what better creature than a violin-playing turtle, I ask?  Since I play the violin myself, this image "spoke" to me:
This QKR Stampede image is "Turtle Violinist" (digi24137).  My husband looked at my card and said, "I'm not sure turtles have pink tongues".  Oh?  But they play the violin?  Really, I love him anyway!
I colored Turtle Violinist with Copic markers, then used a Spellbinders die to cut him out.  The papers are from October Afternoon.  The Jute Ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM. The enamel dots are from My Mind's Eye.  Solid card stock is from Close To My Heart.
Make any project, use green somewhere on it, and join our "green" challenge at QKR Stampede.  I'd love to see your creation!
