Peace on Earth -- Aloha Friday Challenges

It's time for some mid-challenge inspiration over on the Aloha Friday challenge blog.  The theme this challenge is Christmas in July.  One of our lovely sponsors is A Day for Daisies.  I used Christmas Tree Time to create this:

I colored Christmas Tree Time with Copic markers.  I used papers from We Are 3 Digital Shop for the card. These are Holly Berries digital papers.

Fri-Yay!!!  today, my husband has taken the day off of work, and it's all about ME!  Of course, he says everyday is about me, but certainly, that can't be true?!?  My birthday was a week ago, and he couldn't get that day off, so we're celebrating today.  We're jumping on the Harley, heading North, and enjoying the day together!

Today, being Friday, is also the start of a new challenge at QKR Stampede Challenge Blog. Our challenge this week, and every week, is Anything Goes!

My best friend's birthday is just around the corner.  I mailed her a package of spa-type goodies, and wanted a card to fit that theme.  I thought this Bathing Frog (Q-digi15616) fit the theme to perfection: 

I colored the Bathing Frog digital stamp with Copic markers.  The sentiment is computer generated.

Birthday Dragons Coming Your Way -- Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge

It was a rainy Thursday, so after meeting a friend at the local coffee shop this morning, I came home and got creating.  I used this month's progressive freebie at The Dragon's Lair, and combined it with this Wednesday's Sketch challenge at The Outlawz.  Here's what I came up with:

I colored up the dragons with Copic markers, then fussy cut them.  Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are the Nature Blends digital papers.

As you can see, I followed it pretty closely.

The large heart die is from Spellbinders.  The small heart die, across the top is from a company that no longer exists -- Top Dog Dies.   The Happy Birthday sentiment is a sticker from Hot Off the Press.

Heartfelt Thanks -- New Release time at We Are 3

It's time for another New Release card for We Are 3 Digital Shop.   At the Beach, is the theme. Today, I'm featuring another portion of this month's new release, Sea Holly:

I used the pre-printed version of Sea Holly, then added a Wink of Stella pen to add some shimmer to the flowers (sorry, it's hard to photograph).  I've also used three of the new At the Beach digital papers (there are 8 in the pack), and the new Wishing You digital sentiments.

I used a couple of dies to make this card -- 2 Spellbinders label dies, and 2 Lifestyle crafts circle dies.  The card stock base is from Close to My Heart.

Summer Time -- for All Dressed Up Stamps

Woohoo!  Summer!  My husband and I hope to be on the Harley today.  That's how we know it's summer and the weekend.  We love our Harley summer days -- freedom!

This is also a huge celebration over at Kit and Clowder.  Have you joined in on all the fun?  There are 20 days of giveaways and prizes.  Today, All Dressed Up Stamps has a freebie image for you to grab.  I'm on the design team, so I got the image early and colored it to give others some inspiration.  Here's what I did with Summer Time:

I colored Summer Time with Copic markers, then fussy cut her (hardest part of the whole project!).  Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are this month's new release, At The Beach. The sentiment is an acrylic stamp set from Joy's Life.  The sun was cut out on my Silhouette Cameo 3 with a design I found in the Silhouette Design Store.

It's Saturday, and after the tragic loss of our beloved Gracie a couple weeks ago, we're heading a couple hours away to look for a new puppy.  We're looking at a male this time.  We can't even think about having a female spayed.

We loved that girl!  She was the dog I was going to go into retirement with.  Instead, she died 4 days after her one year birthday, and 3 weeks after I retired from a mistake the vet made during surgery.  

These are 2 of the males from the new litter.  We'll have 5 to choose from.  We'll check them out today, at 5 weeks, and bring one home at 7 weeks.  No one can replace our Gracie, but the house is just too quiet, and there is room in our hearts for another dog.  

But this is a blog primarily about paper crafts, and I have a card to post today.

I've been participating in the Outlawz monthly Progressive Freebie all year now.  This month's freebie is by SheepSki Designs, a team I happen to design for.  I love coloring Andrea's flowers! 

This is Tulip Border, printed twice, and colored with Copics.  The tulip edger die is from Technique Tuesday.  The butterfly die is from Sizzix.   I stamped the sentiment on the card.  It is a stamp from a retired Close To My Heart set.

Happy Birthday to Me! for QKR Stampede

It's Friday, it's my birthday, and it's the start of a new challenge at QKR Stampede!  What could be better!

I'm spending much of the day at the nursing home where I just retired from with the friends I miss.  They are treating me to lunch. Then, I'm bringing prizes for a special bingo game this afternoon.  It's my birthday, but they get the presents.  It'll be great fun!

Did I mention it's time for a new challenge at QKR Stampede Challenge blog?  It starts today, goes for a week, and it's always anything goes!

I used this Sunflower digi (ES-digi16202), to create this:

I printed the Sunflower digi 3 times, in 3 different sizes, colored them with Copic markers, then fussy cut them.  I used the Happy Birthday sentiment (Q-digi11503) in the stitched circle.
