It's the first Thursday of the month, and Cute Card Thursday has now gone to monthly challenges. That's right, monthly! You have a whole month to make a card and try to win a prize from our awesome sponsors! The theme is Anything Goes -- with the optional twist of Summer.
The 4th of July is a big, big holiday here in the States, and my little town has a huge celebration. Last year, of course, was a bust, but this year, the party is on! There's things happening on all weekend, but the highlights are a huge parade, a beach party, and of course fireworks. I believe this little guy is ready for the action...
adorable, isn't he! He's from Whimsy Stamps, one if this month's sponsors. He is part of the Gnome Summer Celebration Digital Stamp Set. He is one of 3 stamps in the set.
I colored the Gnome Summer Celebration with Copic markers, then went searching for some patriotic papers. I found these at AMBillustrations. They are the Stars & Stripes papers.
The blue star embellishments are large sequins from Close To My Heart. I computer generated the sentiment, and placed it on a banner form Tonic Studios.
I hope I have as much fun on the 4th as this guy appears to be having!
