Enjoy the Summer -- for Star Stampz

It's Thursday, and time for another challenge at Star Stampz Challenge Blog.    The theme, for the next 2 weeks, is 'Summer is Here'.  Yes it is!

It is just about strawberry season here where I live, and that is a sure sign of summer.  that was the inspiration behind today's card:

This adorable image is 'Spring Strawberry', by Star Stampz.  I colored Spring Strawberry with Copic markers.

The summertime strawberry papers on this card are from Close To My Heart.  The card design is a cutting die from Sizzix.  The sentiment is a stamp from Joy's Life.  a bit of Timeless Twine tied it altogether.

I hope you can join in on the 'Summer is Here' challenge at Star Stampz Challenge blog.  We've got great prizes, and I'd love to see what you make!  Check out the Facebook Fan group, too.

Yippee-Skippee -- for Star Stampz

It's Thursday, and that means it's almost Friday, and that means it's almost the weekend!  Yea!  It also means it's time for a new challenge at the Star Stampz Challenge blog.  This time, our theme is 'For Kids', and the challenge will run for 2 weeks.

I had so much fun coloring 'The Dragon & the Knight' to create this:

The knight looks a bit disappointed with his "ferocious" dragon, doesn't he?

I colored the Dragon & the Knight with Copic markers, giving the dragon a soft, friendly look.  The knight, though, I wanted him to look regal!

I created this easel card using my Silhouette Cameo using a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store.  Papers for the card are from Echo Park.  The pearls & brads are from my stash.

I hope you can join us for our 'For Kids' challenge at Star Stampz Challenge blog.  Check out the Star Stampz Fan Group on Facebook, too.   It's a great group, with inspiration, fun, and great information to be had.

Hand Colored Hugs -- for Star Stampz

Happy Thursday, everyone!  I'm so glad we're getting closer to the weekend!  Today's also the start of a new challenge at Star Stampz Challenge blog.  For the next two weeks, our theme is an easy one -- use a hand colored image.

I used "Spring Sunshine" to create this:

I colored the digi stamp, Spring Sunshine, with Copic markers.  I used some free designer paper I got with a magazine on this card.  The dies are all from Spellbinders.  The flowers were purchased at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I hope you can join us for the challenge at Star Stampz challenge blog.    Check out the Star Stampz Facebook Group, too. You'll find great inspiration there, too!

Sunshine -- for Star Stampz Challenge Blog

It's time for a new challenge at Star Stampz Challenge Blog.  For the next 2 weeks, the theme is, "Flowers, Flowers, Flowers."  Ah, now if it were only warm enough for them where I live!

I used a delightful Star Stampz image to create this:

This is Sunday Best colored with Copic markers.

I used a variety of dies to create this card.  They are from Craftin' Desert Divas, Paper Wishes, Lawn Fawn, and Die-namics.  Papers are all digital, and were taken from my stash.  The flowers are also from my stash -- really old!

I hope you can join us this next 2 weeks are Star Stampz for our Flowers, Flowers, Flowers challenge.  I'd love to see what you create!

Happy Spring -- for Star Stampz

Happy St. Patrick's Day!  There's no Irish in me, but we're celebrating big time at the nursing home today.  Irish music, green beer, corned beef and cabbage.  Lots of wearin' of the green.  Great fun!!

Today is also the start of a new challenge at Star Stampz Challenge blog.  Our theme for the next 2 weeks is "think spring.".  I'm really liking this, as we've had 2 days of rain that is now turning to snow.  I'm ready for some warm spring sunshine!

This lovely spring image is Star Stampz "Spring Flower",  found in the Etsy Store

I colored Spring Flower with Copic markers, then used a variety of dies from Ecstasy Crafts (image and directly behind it) and Spellbinders (card base and matching layer).  Papers for this card are digital -- Perfect Petals by Michele R Designs. The crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM.

I hope you can join in for our Think Spring challenge at Star Stampz Challenge Blog -- you have 2 weeks!    Please join the Star Stampz Facebook Fan Group, too, for even more inspiration and fun.

Think Happy Thoughts -- for Star Stampz

It's Thursday, and time for a new challenge at Star Stampz Challenge Blog.   For the next 2 weeks, the theme is 'Embossing -- wet or dry'.  Embossing is one of those techniques I need to remind myself to use, so this was a good challenge for me!

I used the adorable, and fairly new Star Stampz digital stamp, Spring Bumble Bee.

I colored the sweet Spring Bumble Bee with Copic markers.  Using a variety of circle dies (from Craftin' Desert Divas and Lifestyle Crafts), I constructed the rest of the card.  I dry embossed one of the layers with an embossing folder that I thought looked like honeycomb. -- by Close To My Heart.

Designer papers and sentiment for this card are from Fancy Pants designs.

I hope this inspired you to join our Embossing challenge this time at Star Stampz.  You have 2 weeks.  Join the Star Stampz Facebook fan group, too!

Thinking of You -- for Star Stampz

It's Thursday, and time for a new challenge at Star Stampz Challenge Blog.   For the next 2 weeks, our theme is 'Monochromatic'.  I always think I struggle with this theme, but when I showed my finished project to my husband, he said, "you're good at those.".  Maybe I need to re-think this! :)

I used Victorian Lady on this, coloring her up in monochromatic violets.

Once I had Victorian Lady colored, I used 2 different Die-namics oval stitched dies.  The card base is a file I found in the Silhouette Design store, and cut out on my Silhouette Cameo.  Designer paper is Heartfelt Creations Delicate Asters Collection.  The crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM.

I hope you can join our 'Monochromatic' challenge this next 2 weeks at Star Stampz Challenge Blog.   There's great prizes to win, and I'd love to see what you make!

Mad About You -- for Star Stampz

It's time for a new challenge at Star Stampz Challenge Blog. Our theme for the next 2 weeks is " All About Love".   Ah, yes, perfect for Valentine's Day!

I used the adorable Star Stampz digi image 'Be My Valentine' to create this:

I colored Be My Valentine with Copic markers, cut the image out with a die from Top Dog dies, and inked it with Tim Holtz Spun Sugar distress in (while still in the die).  I created the card base with another Top Dog die from the same set.   The enamel sticker hearts are from my stash -- had them for years!  The sentiment is from Paper Wishes.

I hope you can join us at Star Stampz Challenge blog for our All About Love challenge this next 2 weeks.  We have great prizes, and I'd love to see what you create!
