Happy Spring -- for Aloha Friday Challenges

It's Friday, and it's time for some mid-challenge inspiration on the Aloha Friday Challenge Blog.  This time, the theme is "In the Garden".

You won't quite make it in a garden at my house as there is still a few inches of snow, but it is melting, and the spring birds are returning, so I am hopeful!

One of our sponsors this challenge is A Day For Daisies.  I had the fun of creating with Walking Bonnet:

I colored Walking Bonnet with Copic markers.  I used a sketch from Cheerful Sketches to design the card.  Here's the sketch:
Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop. The daisy and the paisley papers are from the On the Farm collection. The other piece is from Summer Butterflies

The "In the Garden" Challenge at Aloha Friday Challenges runs for one more week, or through April 4.  Winners will be announced the following Sunday.  I hope you can join in on the fun!

It's Thursday, and it's Oldie but Goodie day on the Bugaboo Stamps, Catch the Bug Blog.  I have 2 good friends with birthdays this upcoming week, so I made this card for one of them:

This uses Edward Elephant - Happy Birthday, colored with Copics, then cut with a circle die.

I used a sketch from the Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge --
Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop. They are from the Party Celebration Paper Collection

I hope you find time to check out what the other designers have made at Catch the Bug Challenges for Oldie but Goodie day!

Birthday Chick -- for Bugaboo Stamps

It's Tuesday -- that's New Release Tuesday at Bugaboo Stamps.  Every Tuesday, there's a new release.  Woot!  Today's new release is meant for Easter, but works for many occasions -- including birthdays!

This is Easter Chick Flower:

I colored Easter Chick Flower with Copic markers, then fussy cut it.  The flower border is an SVG cut file from My Scrap Chick.  It was the Friday Freebie a week or so ago.

For more inspiration using this Easter Chick Flower,  check out the Catch the Bug blog to see what the other talented designer created with it.

A Mouse For You -- and Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez

I love a good cup of tea!  I love a cute mouse, so why not put the 2 together?  That's what you have with this cute digi from Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez

This Mouse in Cup is a March New Release.  Adorable, isn't it?  I wouldn't really want to find that mouse in my tea, but it does make me smile!

I colored up Mouse in Cup with Copic markers, then fussy cut the image.  The papers on this card are digital, and were found at Pixel scrapper.  I thought the tea pots and tea cups, along with the sugar bowls and tea cozies, were a good match.  The sentiment is an acrylic stamp from Technique Tuesday that I found that was part of a Christmas set still on my desk.  Maybe it's time to clean?

Have you visited the Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez Store? There, you will find acrylic stamps, digital stamps, digital papers, a Zazzle shop, and more.  It is worth a trip!  There's also a Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez Facebook Group, with a monthly challenge, and for even more inspiration, visit the Kinda Cute blog

Hello, fellow stamp lovers.  I'm posting today for Scrapbook Stamp Society with an adorable My Besties image, drawn by artist Sherri Baldy.

I had the great pleasure of coloring up Adorbs Dragons Doll 6 today.  How cute is this?

I colored Adorbs Dragons Doll 6 with Copic markers, used papers from We Are 3 Digital Shop to enhance the image, computer generated the sentiment, and a had a fun card, ready for giving.

We Are 3 papers used are: Fantasy and Watercolor Batik.

Hoppy Easter (shake, shake, shake) -- for Scribbles Designs

It's the 23rd of the month, and that means I'm up for some inspiration over on the Scribbles Designs blog.  Every 23rd, it's my turn to leave a bit of inspiration.  Since Easter isn't too far away, I decided to make an Easter card for my inspiration.

Here it is!

This card uses Scribbles Designs image, #440 Bunny Bum, colored with Copic markers.

Papers on this card are from AMB Illustrations.  I computer generated the sentiment.  The bunny die cut is from Impression Obsession, and can be found in the Dies R Us Store.  I used dies and supplies from Close To My Heart to make the shaker.

You can find the #440 Bunny Bum image,  and many more wonderful digis, in the Scribbles Designs Store.  You can find more inspiration, challenges, and even some free images on the Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog.  Check it all out!

Sympathy Rose - Color Challenge for Bugaboo Stamps

It's Saturday, and it's time for a new challenge at Catch the Bug Challenge Blog. Today, we start a color challenge.  They are always a bit intimidating for me.  I love a sketch challenge -- I find they are a great stepping stone for my creativity.  A color challenge, though, stifles me.  I spend way too much time wondering if I'm staying within the guidelines, and not enough time enjoying the creative process.  So, perhaps color challenges are good for me?

I recently needed a sympathy card, so I decided today's theme would work well for making the card.  Using Rose Circle from the Mini Rose Set and the March Color Challenge (see below), I created this:

I colored the Rose Circle with Copic markers, then use a couple of circle dies to cut it out and back it.

Here's the color challenge mood board I used:

I probably spent as long looking for the right papers as I did coloring up the Rose Circle.  I found this flower paper in my stash.  I've had it forever, and I don't know where I got it.  I think it's part of a card kit from Spellbinders (both patterned papers).  The sentiment is from Craftin' Desert Divas.  The gold shimmer trim is from Close To My Heart.

I hope you can join us this next 2 weeks for our color challenge at Catch the Bug.   I bet you are way better at these than I am!  I'd love to see your creations so I can better learn the process!

Love Bug -- for Di's Digi Designs Challenge Blog

It's Saturday, and it's time for a new challenge at Di's Digi Designs Challenge Blog.  For the next 2 weeks, the challenge theme is, "Make it Girly".  You'll find many wonderful stamps in the Di's DigiStamps shop you can use for this theme!

Here's my "Make it Girly" themed card using Love Bug:

I colored Love Bug with Copic markers, then went on the hunt for the right papers.  I found this paper with ladybugs on it in the We Are 3 Digital Shop.  It is part of the Ladybug Lace Collection.  (There's now a Ladybug Lace Too to check out also!)  The blue paper behind the image is from the Bird Songs paper pack.  The pretty crinkle ribbon is from D.L. Art.  It is peacock colored.  The stitched dies and the 'hello' sentiment are from Avery Elle.

'Make it Girly' -- I think it's a theme that comes easy for most of us, so I hope you can join us this next two weeks at Di's Digi Designs Challenge Blog.  Di has the absolute cutest digis that you could win -- like this one!

Happy Birthday to the Outlawz!

I often play at The Outlawz, and the site is 8 years old.  They are having a big party.  There's a blog hop with prizes, a challenge, with prizes, and prizes, and prizes.  One of the prizes being awarded to everyone that participates is a digital paper pack from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  It just so happens that I have the paper already, so I created a card with it.  Lucky me!

Another of the sponsors of The Outlawz 8th birthday celebration is Bugaboo Stamps.  I used one of their adorable images to make a card for the party.  Since I'm on the Bugaboo design team, I'm going to use this card as part of the Oldie but Goodie Thursday event on the Catch the Bug blog today.

This card uses Mouse - Candle, colored with Copic markers, then fussy cut.  Papers for this card are the special papers made just for the party by We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are the Party Celebration papers.

I used this week's sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches. Here it is:
Everyone that enters the special birthday challenge at The Outlawz will get the beautiful Party Celebration paper pack.  Getting busy!

You Are Egg-ceptional -- The Outlawz Progressive Freebie (March)

Hello, and happy Tuesday!  I had a chance to color up the Eggs image from Sandra Van Blaricum that was the freebie this month (thank you so much, Sandra!) at the Outlawz Progressive Freebie Challenge.  And, I found time to make it into a card.  I used the sketch from this week's Sketch Saturday Challenge to create it.  Here's the card:

I used all the colors of the rainbow in those eggs -- red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet.  I did this intentionally so I could enter it in The Outlawz Twisted Thursday Challenge (rainbows), and I added a piece of rainbow paper for good measure!

Here's the Sketch Saturday sketch I used:

Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  The 2 circles and the banner papers are all from the Fantasy paper collection. The sentiment is printed on a piece of Pinkalious paper

Friendship Never Goes Out of Style -- for Path of Positivity

It's the 3rd Monday of the month, and that means it's time for some mid-month inspiration on the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog. The optional theme in March is 'Friendship'.  That's an easy one!

One of our sponsors this month (and every month this year) is Scribbles Designs.  I used several Scribbles Designs digital stamps and an SDD paper to create this friendship themed card:

I thought this sentiment was so much fun, I decided to make it the focal point.  It's #005 Friendships.  The flip flops are #848 Flip Flops, and the pretty flower paper is a freebie from Scribble Doodle Designs, and can be found here

I hope you can join us this month at Path of Positivity Challenge blog for our optional Friendship themed challenge.  Or, you can link up any positive themed project you make.  Our other awesome sponsor this month is Bugaboo Stamps

Luck O' the Irish

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

My husband is Irish.  I realized yesterday, that even though I make cards every week, sometimes every day, I did not have a St. Patrick's Day card made for him.  So, I whipped this up quick:

I cut this out on my Silhouette Cameo 3 with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store.  The pretty orange ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The heart was a die cut I found lying on my craft desk.

Surprise! for Sasayaki Glitter Stamps by Naz

Today, it's Oldie but Goodie day on the Sasayaki Glitter Blog. It's a day to showcase some of the older, but well loved favorites from the Sasayaki Glitter Etsy Store.  Today, all the Oldies have a birthday theme to them.

I have had a thing for blue bunnies lately.  I've colored quite a few when I look back through my blog.  I colored another today, with this Surprise Bunny:
I colored up Surprise Bunny with Copic markers, then used a sketch from this month's sketch challenge at Cheerful Sketches Challenge Blog. Here's the sketch I used:
Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop. The rainbow paper is from the Cupcake Toppers paper collection.  The stars are part of the Little Star paper pack.  The purple paper in the very back is from the ever-so-pretty Watercolor Batik Collection.

It's Thursday, and not too far from St. Patrick's Day.  It's also Oldie but Goodie day on the Catch the Bug blog.  In honor of these 2 days, I've created this card:

This uses Bugaboo Stamps digi, Happy St. Patrick's Day to Ewe, colored with Copic markers.  The sentiment is part of the Happy St. Patrick's Day to Ewe set

Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop. The kites background paper is from the Little Star paper pack. The fun houndstooth papers is one of the Houndstooth Holiday paper pack.

I Don't Like Morning! for Bugaboo Stamps

It's Wednesday, and every Wednesday on the Catch the Bug blog, Bugaboo Stamps are showcased with Humor Me Wednesday.

Monday was National Napping Day, and that is certainly a day worth celebrating!  I made this card for the occasion:

This card uses Crabby Cathy Morning.  I colored Crabby Cathy Morning with Copic markers, and used the sentiment that comes with the set.

The papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop. The confetti background paper is from the Celebrate paper collection. The tie dye purple stripe is from the Watercolor Batik paper pack.  The silver foil trim is from Close To My Heart. I found the fun puffy stickers in my stash and thought they fit this card well.

I used a sketch from the current Outlawz Sketch Challenge for this card.  Here's the sketch:

Flower Shaped Spring Card -- for Dies R Us

Greetings, fellow crafters! I'm on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog today, with a springtime card.  Is it seeming like spring at all where you live?  We have had 3 feet of snow in a week where I live as I write this post, so spring seems far away, but I'm confident it will get here!

If you follow my blog at all, you know I like to create shaped cards.  I made another one today.  This one, using a fun springtime die from Precious Marieke:

There, that will get your attention, won't it?  Fun, eye catching, bright!  It's just the effect I like when creating a card.  Let me tell you how I did it:

I started with supplies from Precious Marieke, and Impression Obsession (links below), and coordinating 6x6 papers.  The papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are from the Birthday Party Collection (the posy prints), Peonies Ballet, and Watercolor Batik.

Here's everything laid out, ready to run through my die cutting machine.  You'll notice it's held in place with Washi tape.  I find this comes off without damaging the paper.

Here's everything after I die cut it:

I made the card base using the largest flower die, leaving a portion of the die outside of the paper.  You can see the fold of the pink paper on the far left of the above picture.  I attached the largest flower die cut piece to the pink base.  Then, you no longer see the card fold, just the flower petals.

Dies R Us supplies used on this card:

Here's one more look at that bright, bold, flowery shaped Springtime card:

Don't forget to come join in the fun at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog.  There's a new challenge theme offered on the 1st and 15th of each month and one lucky randomly drawn winner will receive a gift voucher prize to the Dies R Us Store.  For your convenience, all the important Dies R Us links are provided below.

Is it a Chick or a Bunny? for Kitty Bee Designs

Hi, fellow stamp lovers!  I'm posting today for Kitty Bee Designs, where I have a darling stamp to share with you.

What do you think?  Is is a chick or a bunny? Isn't it the sweetest?

Papers on this card are from AMB Illustrations.

I added some chipboard so I can add it in the Outlawz Crash Your Stash Feb/March Challenge, where the theme is 'use some chipboard.'  I found a piece of chipboard in my stash, found an acrylic stamp with the 'Happy Easter' sentiment, then inked the edges of the chipboard.

You can find many cute Kitty Bee Designs in the Etsy Store in both acrylic and digi stamps.  Join us, also, for the Aloha Friday Challenges! Each challenge lasts for 2 weeks, and we have wonderful sponsors!

It's time for a new challenge at Di's Digi Designs Challenges.  For the next 2 weeks, we have a Tic Tac Toe theme, and I'll include the board later in this post.  First, though, my card, with the super cute image I colored up:

I am showcasing Time For Tea --

I colored Time for Tea with Copic markers.  I had several tea cups sitting right in front of me, so maybe I got my shading right?

The pretty tablecloth paper behind the tea cups is from We Are 3 digital Shop.  It is part of the Tea Time Collection.   The blue background paper behind the tablecloth is also part of the Tea Time collection.  The sentiment was computer generated.  That pretty pink bow was made from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I'm Yours -- for Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez

Valentine's Day has come and gone, but it's never too late to tell someone special that you love them.

My husband has been working very long hours lately, then coming home and shoveling storm after storm of snow that has moved through.  I made him this card to let him know he's appreciated and loved.  It uses a digital stamp from Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez called Hamster.

I placed the Hamster digi in my photo editing software so I could duplicate, then flip one of them. Then, I made a JPG of the 2 hamsters, placed it in a Word document to size, and printed it.  I colored the 2 Hamsters with Copic markers.

I used several different heart shaped dies from Spellbinders to create this shaped card, and used a heart paper left over from a Valentine's Day project that was on my desk.  The sentiment is an acrylic stamp from Hot Off the Press.

Have you visited the Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez Store? There, you will find acrylic stamps, digital stamps, digital papers, a Zazzle shop, and more.  It is worth a trip!  There's also a Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez Facebook Group, with a monthly challenge, and for even more inspiration, visit the Kinda Cute blog.
