Tool Box -- a New Release for All Dressed Up Stamps

Woohoo!  It's New Release showcase day at All Dressed Up Stamps! You'll find 3 new releases and lots and lots of other wonderful digital images in the All Dressed Up Stamps Etsy Shop.

For this month's new release, I had the pleasure of designing with Tool Box.  It's perfect for Father's Day or other masculine themed cards!

I colored Tool Box with Copic markers, then got to designing my card.  The brick background paper is from We Are 3 Digital Shop (no longer in business). I thought t the bricks were the perfect background for our little worker.

The sentiment is one I made up, and it is computer generated.  The die cut tools are from a Crafter's Companion set.

The design team has been hard at work creating some inspiration for you.  Please check the All Dressed Up Facebook group and the ADU Challenge blog to see what the other fantastic designers have created!

Thanks for stopping by!

Je T'aime -- for Dies R Us Challenges

Hello, hello!  Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Are you enjoying May?  I think it's my favorite month of the year, but it's going way too fast!  In fact, we're 1/2 way through the month already.  May 15 -- not only is it the 1/2 way point for this beautiful month, it's also time for a new challenge at Dies R Us Challenges.  This month, the challenges are anything goes!  Just use a brand of die sold in the Dies R Us Store.

I've had this set of dies for years, but have never used them.  I decided it was time!  Visiting Paris is on my bucket list, and I'd love to get there sooner than later.  We'll see.  In the meantime, I'll dream of traveling again, and make pretty cards:

This couple are enjoying the sights of Paris, while also enjoying each other's company and their very French dog.  What's more French than a French Poodle, after all? You could argue it should be a French Bulldog on the card, but a poodle die is what I have.

I made this card with dies from Crafter's Companion and Impression Obsession.  Both companies dies are available at the Dies R Us Store. The Paris dies from Crafter's Companion are part of the Parisian Collection.  They are the Je T'aime die set (couple on the bench and the poodle).  The Eiffel Tower is a die called "Purely Paris".  I used 2 products from Impression Obsession dies. The grass is 'Small Grass Border', cut twice and layered. The heart that I used for the sentiment is part of the Layered Hearts Trio die set.

I found the most appropriate papers for this card at We Are 3 Digital Shop. I used 2 papers from the Paris Cafe Collection. The sentiment is also from We Are 3 Digital Shop. It is part of the Heart Love sentiments set.

I hope you can join us this next 2 weeks for the Anything Goes Challenge at Dies R Us Challenge Blog. There will be a gift certificate to the store awarded to one lucky winner, and 3 designer choice awards.

If you are one of our Canadian friends, check out the Didi Crafts Store for a great selection of crafty supplies and reasonable shipping rates.

Time to Dream -- for Dies R Us Challenges

It's the 15th of the month, and a new challenge is starting over on the Dies R Us Challenge Blog. It's an Anything Goes theme this month, as long as you use a brand of die sold in the Dies R Us Store, so very easy to join in the fun!

I don't like new year's resolutions, but I do like goals.  January is generally a quieter month, with more days spent entirely inside because of the bitter cold weather (its -5 degrees Fahrenheit, with a windchill of -23 right now). I just converted the temperature, and that's -20.6 degrees Celsius, so cold on any thermometer! Anyway, I find January to be a good month to reevaluate and set new goals, its a time to dream about the year to come....

I started out by inking my background.  I used Distress Inks in shades of Dusty Concord, Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, and Villainous Potion. I made the moon by first inking with the lightest shade (Shaded Lilac), then cutting out a circle from acetate with the Jeanine's Art Landscape Circle dies.  I then used darker colors around this circle and removed it.

The rest of the card was created with a Create-a-Card die from Crafter's Companion. It's called Garden Retreat. I created the sentiment by using the negative space of the cutting die.

I finished the card by adhering it to a black panel and adding some gems from my stash.

I hope you join our Anything Goes, with a brand of die sold in the Dies R Us Store challenge at Dies R Us Challenges.  It will run for 2 weeks.

For my Canadian friends, check out the Didi Crafts Store for a wonderful selection of products and reasonable shipping costs.

New Year's Resolution -- Whatever the Weather, Enjoy it!

Happy 2022, my blog friends!  I really don't make new year's resolutions, but it seems like a good idea to try to be more like my dog this year.  No matter what the weather is, he just enjoys it!  Since he and I are outdoors for hours everyday, I might as well adapt his philosophy!  As my boy Winter would say, "Whatever the weather, whatever!"

Today isn't just the start of a new year, it's also the start of a new month, which means it's the start of a new challenge at Dies R Us Challenges.  Challenges will be a little different this year.  Every other month, they will be Anything Goes, and then the next month, there will be a theme.  We're starting out the year with a month of Anything goes to ease us into the changes.

Snowmen have the right idea about winter -- just enjoy the snow while it lasts.  So, to go along with my new philosophy, I created a snowman card for today's challenge....

I started by inking my background with Distress Oxide inks in Victorian Velvet, Villainous Potion, Shaded Lilac, Dusty Concord, Spun Sugar, and Kitsch Flamingo. Then, I constructed the snowman.  It is a die set by Karen Burniston. Then, I created the snowbanks, using Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside border dies. The inked background and pink layer were cut out with Memory Box Wrapped Stitched Rectangles.  The "Let it Snow" sentiment is by Crafter's Companion

The pretty snowflake paper on the base of the card is by We Are 3 Digital Shop.  It is one of the Winter papers

I added some snowflakes on my inked background with a Sakura White Gelly Roll Pen. I used a Viva Decor Anthracite Pearl Pen on the eyes and mouth. I piece of ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon tied like a scarf finishes off the the card.

I hope you join in on our Anything Goes challenge at Dies R Us Challenges. It will run for 2 weeks.  I'd love to see what you create!

11th Birthday Blog Hop -- for The Paper Shelter

 Good Morning lovely crafters!

Welcome to The Paper Shelter Blog Hop, in celebration of The Paper Shelter's 11th Birthday on the 8th of December!  This will be a two week challenge, with both teams taking part.

The theme for this special challenge is:

CELEBRATIONS

My birthday growing up used to be spent camping with my family.  That often included s'mores around the campfire, so I couldn't resist coloring up A Christmas Campfire for today's celebration.

I colored A Christmas Campfire with Copic markers and used papers that I found at Pixel Scrapper to construct the card. They were from the Kumbaya papers, and were digital. The die cut elements are all from Crafter's Companion.

If you've arrived here from Cristena, then you're heading in the right direction!  If not, then you'll want to pop back to The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog to start again, because you don't want to miss out on this one.  Both Design Teams are participating, showcasing the gorgeous images available from The Paper Shelter, and each blog on the hop is offering one lucky commenter a digi of their choice, as well as the main prize, details of which are on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog.

From here, you will need to hop on over to Mesi.  Don't forget to leave your comment for an opportunity to win your choice of one of the fabulous digis available in store!

Good Luck!  Hope you've enjoyed the Hop so far!

Misty Reflections -- for Ching Chou Kuik

It's Tuesday, and I'm posting today for the Ching Chou Kuik Inspiration & Challenge Blog. I love my Tuesdays!  These images are so much fun!  Our October challenge still has lots of time for you to link up, with the theme of Boo-tiful Halloween (or pumpkins or Halloween colors).

For my inspiration card today, I used the luscious image, Misty Refections, colored with Copic  markers.

I used various circle dies,  and papers from AMB Illustrations.  The sentiment is from a stamp company no longer in business, and cut out with a die from Tonic Studios.

I hope you check the CCK blog frequently for great inspiration!

A Place to Remember -- for Dies R Us Challenges

It's October 15th, and it's time for a new challenge at Dies R Us Challenges. The challenges are Anything Goes, as long as you use a brand of die sold in the Dies R Us Store.  The challenge will run for 2 weeks.

A couple from my church recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.  They met at a Bible camp, that is very wooded.  I thought this die was perfect to make a die for their special day...

I created this card using a Crafter's Companion A Place To Remember Create-a-Card die. The sentiment is computer generated unto a stitched tag by Tonic Studios. The red stitched heart die is one of the Just Stitching Hearts die by Lawn Fawn

The background paper of the card is by We Are 3 Digital Shop. It is one of the Fairy Land papers

I hope you can join us this next 2 weeks for our Anything Goes challenge at Dies R Us Challenges.  We give away a gift certificate and 3 designer choice awards every challenge.

Here it is, the 15th of September already!  That means it's time for a new challenge at Dies R Us Challenges The challenge will run for 2 weeks, and they are always Anything Goes, as long as you use a brand of die sold in the Dies R Us Store

I was in need of a sympathy when I made the card for today's challenge, so I found a beautiful die by Crafter's Companion that I thought would work wonderfully for a sympathy card. This is the Church Blessings Create-a- Card die:

The sentiment is a digital stamp from Eureka stamps.  I printed it onto a Tutti Designs Cross Stitch Nesting Tag.  And that's it!  My sympathy card is complete.

I hope you can join us this next 2 weeks for our Anything Goes Challenge at Dies R Us.  Just use a brand of die sold in the Dies R Us Store

Attitude is Everything -- for The Paper Shelter

It's Wednesday, and a new challenge starts every Wednesday over on The Paper Shelter Challenge blog. This week, our theme is "use ribbon,  string, &/or lace".  I love using twine (string) so I used that, plus a little ribbon on my DT card.

One of the newest releases in The Paper Shelter store is The Bricklayer.  I find her enchanting, and full of possibilities!

I colored The Bricklayer with a combination of Copic and Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. The sentiment was computer generated.

The brick wall die cut is a die from Crafter's Companion.  I thought it was perfect for this Bricklayer image.  I cut the image out and framed it with Spellbinders oval dies. I used some Timeless twine, and a bit of crinkle ribbon by D.L. Art

I hope you can join us this week at The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog. Remember, the theme is: use ribbon, string, or lace.  If you're the random winner, and you use an image from The Paper Shelter, you'll win a $30 gift certificate to the store.  Otherwise, you'll get any 3 images of your choice!  Fun, fun, either way!

Beloved Sunshine -- for Ching-Chou Kuik

It's Tuesday, and this is the day that I'm lucky enough to be able to post on the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge Blog.  A new challenge is just getting underway on the challenge blog with the theme of Thanksgiving or Autumn Colors, e.g. red, or brown, or green.   I hope you join us!

I used the very pretty image Beloved Sunshine on today's inspiration card. It comes with 2 versions, and I used the one I could fussy cut the easiest:

I colored Beloved Sunshine with Copic markers, then fussy cut it. The intricate frame behind the Beloved Sunshine image  is a die from Crafter's Companion. The sentiment is a stamp set from Tonic Studios, stamped unto a die set from Crafter's Companion.  The sunflower paper is from AMB Illustrations.

I hope you visit the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration & Challenge Blog often to see what the talented design team has created, and of course, to enter the current challenge.  It runs all month. There is more inspiration and another challenge in the CCK Facebook group.  Hope to see you there!

Nautical Thanks -- for Dies R Us Challenges

It's the 15th of the month, and it's time for a new challenge at Dies R Us Challenges.  The challenge will run for the next 2 weeks.  It is Anything Goes!  Just use a brand of die sold in the Dies R Us Store.  Easy, right?

I recently celebrated a birthday, and got some awesome gifts.  I needed some thank you cards to let those friends and family know their thoughtfulness was appreciated.  Since it's summer, I thought a nautical themed card would be appropriate:

The 'Thanks' word shaped die is by Crafter's Companion.  It cuts out the outline, then the letters (which are all connected).

I cut the letters out of a piece of Nautical paper from We Are 3 Digital Shop. I inked the edges with Colorbox Royal Blue Ink

Some of the ephemera were also cut out of Nautical paper, and were inked with Tim Holtz Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink.   The sailboats are dies from Impression Obsession. The other nautical ephemera is by Crafter's Companion

I hope you can join us at Dies R Us Challenges these next 2 weeks for our Anything Goes challenge.  Remember, just use a brand of die sold in the Dies R Us Store

Enjoy the Ride -- For The Paper Shelter

It's Wednesday, and a new challenge starts today over on The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog.  Challenges run for a week and have a theme.  This weeks theme is 'Going Dotty'.  You don't have to use a Paper Shelter image, but if you do, and your card is chosen as the winner, you'll be awarded a $30 gift certificate!

'Going Dotty' -- what a fun theme!  I had a great time with this one!  I found a wonderful image that I thought would lend itself to papers with dots -- here's YMMV:

I colored YMMV with a combination of Spectrum Noir Triblend Brush markers and Copic markers.  The sentiment is computer generated.  The banner dies are from Crafter's Companion, while the stitched heart die is from Lawn Fawn.

All The dotted papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are from the Dotted Swiss Collection.

It's June 1, and it's time for a new challenge in the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook Group. You'll find many images that fit that theme in the All Dressed Up Stamps Etsy Shop

Little guyz and water -- they go hand in hand.  So, with that in mind, I colored up the darling Little Fishes and created this....

I colored Little Fishes with a combination of Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and Copic markers.  I made the waves by using Lawn Fawn stitched wavy border dies and papers from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are the Under the Sea papers. The sentiment is computer generated and printed on a banner by Crafter's Companion.  The sailboat is a die, also by Crafter's Companion.

You'll find them all in the All Dressed Up Stamps Etsy Shop.  You'll find the inspiration in the All Dressed Up facebook group, and on the All Dressed Up Blog

I had the absolute pleasure of working with Pool Party this month!  It put me in the mood for sunshine, sunscreen, and floating in the water...

I colored Pool Party with a combination of Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, and Copic markers.   I then fussy cut the image, and backed her with a stitched circle die cut by Crafter's Companion.  The papers on this card are by Close To My Heart.  The sentiment and embellishments were part of the paper pack.

Birthday Blooms -- For Dies R Us Challenges

It's the 15th of the month, and it's time for a new challenge on the Dies R Us Challenge Blog. Challenges always run for 2 weeks, and they are Anything Goes, as long as you use a brand of die that Dies R Us sells in the store.

It has been cold and rainy, and even snowed on the day I created this card, so I was thinking spring and flowers and bright colors!  I'm craving the colors of spring...

This card uses a really fun die set from one of my favorite companies, Birch Press Design.  This is Field of Blooms, and it's an absolute delight to create it.  I believe the color combinations would be endless for the tulips on this card.  I also love how it embosses into the design.

The 'Happy Birthday' sentiment is part of a set from Crafter's Companion

I thought a crinkle ribbon bow with some crinkle ribbon from Diana Larson finished the card off without taking away from the beautiful Field of Blooms

I hope you are able to join us these next 2 weeks for our Anything Goes with a die sold in the Dies R Us Store Challenge. I'd love to see what you create, and you could win a gift certificate, or one of the 3 designer choice awards.

Seashell -- For Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration & Challenge Blog

It's Tuesday, and it's my day to post on the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration & Challenge Blog.  I always enjoy a chance to color up the beautiful CCK images!  They are a challenge for me, and so much fun!

Just a reminder about this month's challenge theme -- Magical world -- use a mermaid, a fairy, a unicorn, a dryad, or whatever magical creature you wish.

The design team was challenged this week to not only follow the Magical World theme, but also to make a shaped card.  I thought I could easily do both those things with this fun image, Seashell

You can find Seashell and all the wonderful Ching-Chou Kuik images in the GJZCCK Etsy Shop.

I colored up Seashell with Copic markers, then fussy cut her out.  To make the shaped card, I used a variety of heart shaped dies from my collection.

The papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop. They are the Oceania papers The sentiment is one of 4 in the Mermaid Wishes Collection

The shells and other underwater themed embellishments are from Crafter's Companion.

Pansy Pail Sympathy - for Jan's Digi Stamps Challenges

It's the first Monday of the month, and it's time for a new challenge at Jan's Digi Stamps Challenges. Challenges run for a month, and they are always anything goes.

We're having a cool (OK, cold) spring, so I'm craving flowers and bright colors.  That made me want to color up one of the many beautiful floral images in Jan Mahew's Shop. I used the flower pot full of pansies from Springtime.

I colored the flower pot and pansies with Copic markers.  I cut it out with a stitched circle die by Crafter's Companion.  The doily die is from Anna Griffin.

The sentiment is from a different Jan Mahew set. It's part of the Botanical Orchids set

Papers on this card are by We Are 3 Digital Shop. They are part of GranMargaret's Flowers

There are some great prizes that you could win for linking up at Jan's Digi Stamps challenges. There's a random gift certificate awarded, and another for a Jan Mahew image. There are also 3 designer choice awards given.

Feminine & Fabulous -- For All Dressed Up Stamps

It's May 1 (really!) and it's time for a new challenge in the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook Group.  Challenges run all month, and have a theme.  This month's theme is Girly Girlz.  You will find more images than you can shake a stick at that fit this theme in the All Dressed Up Stamps Etsy Shop! Pick your favorite(s), get it colored up, and join us this month!

I don't think you have to have frills, dresses and lace to be feminine, so I colored up the delightful Day Dreaming to create this:

I colored Day Dreaming with Copic markers, then cut her out with a Spellbinders die.

I cut out the card base on my Silhouette Cameo 3 with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store.

The designer papers on this card are by We Are 3 Digital Shop.  The blue jeans background paper is one of the Howdy papers.  The strip of pink rose/brick paper is from the Pinkalicious Collection

The lace and crinkle ribbon are from a company no longer in business, 3 Girl JAM.  I computer generated the sentiment and cut it out with a banner die from Crafter's Companion.

Girly Girlz!  Such a fun theme, and one you can play along with all month over in the All Dressed Up Stamps facebook Group!  See you there!

It's the first of May, so that means it's time for a new challenge at Dies R Us Challenges. Challenges run for 2 weeks, and are always Anything Goes, as long as you use a brand of die sold in the Dies R Us Store

The day I made this card, we had snow showers, but I am very ready for spring.  I was thinking sunshine, and warmth, and things that make me think of spring -- like butterflies!

This card uses a Create-a-Card die by Crafter's Companion called Butterfly Love.  The sentiment was stamped on a frame by Nellie's Choice that was purchased during a European die weekend event at Dies R Us. It is also available in the Didi Crafts (sister store) here.  The small butterfly on the sentiment tag is by Spellbinders.

I hope this card make you think of and feel like spring, and I hope you can join us at Dies R Us Challenges.  There will be a gift certificate awarded, and 3 designer choice awards!
