Always Time for a Cuddle

Hello blog friends, and happy March!  On the first day of the month, a new challenge starts in the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook group.  That's today!  The theme this month is "for a child".  There are lots of great All Dressed Up images that will fit this theme.  Create with one anyway you want, and join the challenge!

For this month's "for a child" challenge, I used the darling image, 'Always Time for a Cuddle':

I used Copic markers and Olo markers to color up this image.  Then I used wide oval dies from Spellbinders to cut out the image and back it.  I stenciled the paw prints on the backing oval.  The Love sentiment is a die from Kat Scrappiness.  I did a little paper piecing on it,  And, that's my simple 'For a Child' card.

I hope to see you entered in the challenge!

Home for the Holidays -- an All Dressed Up Stamps New Release

Hello, fellow creative friends!  Today is one of the days each month where All Dressed Up Stamps designers showcase the New Releases.  There are 3, and they are all wonderful!

This month, I had the fun of showcasing Christmas Caravan. It makes me want to be a vagabond!

Christmas Caravan is available in the All Dressed Up Etsy Shop.  You'll find all the new releases there, along with all of the All Dressed Up Stamps wonderful digital art.

I colored Christmas Caravan with Copic markers and also added a bit of Nuvo Glitter drop on the trees and the Christmas lights.

The papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are the Merry Little Christmas papers.  I used 4 of them from the set of 8 here.

There will be inspiration from other designers featured today on the All Dressed Up Stamps Blog and in the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook Group. I hope you check it out!

Joyous Manger Scene --for Dies R Us Challenges

It's November 15th, and although it's not even Thanksgiving, we card makers have been making Christmas cards for months now.  I'm taking advantage of the anything goes challenge at Dies R Us Challenges to get another Christmas card made.  The challenge is Anything Goes, as long as you use a brand of die sold in the Dies R Us Store

I have a collection of mangers, or creches, that I use to decorate my house at Christmas, so it's no wonder I am drawn to them in my crafting also.  I really like this Manger set by Spellbinders

The sentiment is from a set of Christmas sayings by Sizzix.  I inked the edges of the card with 2 Distress Inks -- Old Paper and Tea Dye.

The vintage looking paper with musical notes on it is from We Are 3 Digital Shop. It is from the Holiday Wishes Collection.

I hope you are able to join us these next 2 weeks for the Anything Goes with a dies sold in the Dies R Us Store challenge.  There will be a gift certificate awarded and 3 designer choice awards.  I'd love to see your creations!

Autumn Lace Thank You -- for Ching-Chou Kuik

It's Tuesday, and this is my day to post on the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration & Challenge Blog. Last week, I used an image from the set, Hello Autumn.  Today, I'm using the same set, but a different image.

Here's one of the 3 images in Hello Autumn...

I colored Hello Autumn with Copic markers.  The leaf background is a die from Impression Obsession.  It makes a beautiful card front!  The sentiment is from Spellbinders.  The lace is from Webster's Pages, and the wooden die cut leaf is from my stash.

I hope you check the CCK Inspiration blog often to see all the great inspiration, and I'd love to see you linked up on the November challenge!  The theme is Thanksgiving/Remembrance/Thinking of you/or Thank you.

Apples for Fall-- and for Dies R Us Challenges

November 1!  It's the start of a new challenge at Dies R Us Challenges. The challenge will run  for the next 2 weeks, and it is Anything Goes, and long as you use a brand of die sold in the Dies R Us Store. Dies R Us sells an incredible array of dies and supplies, so check out the store for all your crafty needs. For those of you in Canada, there is Didi Crafts, an equally awesome Canadian version with very reasonable shipping rates.

We have been having an incredible Fall where I live.  The temperatures have been very mild, so I'm really enjoying the season.  I love many things about fall, but I especially enjoy the squash, pumpkins, and apples.  Apples were the inspiration behind today's card:

I used a die set from Spellbinders to create the card. It's called Happy Fall. Everything was glued in place with The Best Glue Ever. I also used 3 colors of Tim Holtz Distress Ink that are found in the Dies R Us Store -- Antique Linen, Brushed Corduroy, & Gathered Twigs.

The designer papers on this card are by We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are 2 of the papers in the Apple Delight Collection.

I hope you can join us this next 2 weeks for the Dies R Us Challenge. A gift certificate will be awarded and 3 designer choice awards.

Witches Hat -- a New Release at All Dressed Up Stamps

Today is a great day!  It's the 22nd of the month, and it's the day I get to showcase one of this month's new releases at All Dressed Up Stamps. There are 3 new releases each month, and they are all fabulous.  This month, though.  They made me squeal!  And, I'm not a squealer!

Here is Witches Hat...

I colored Witches Hat with Copic markers, and cut her out with a Spellbinders square die.  Then, I went searching for papers to enhance it on a card.  As always, I found them in the We Are 3 Digital Shop. The orange paper behind Witches Hat is one of the Moody Night papers. The purple web paper is from the Web Works Collection.  The bats are part of a Spellbinders collection. I thought they were the perfect finishing touch on this card!

I hope you enjoyed this new release as much as I enjoyed creating it!  You can find all the new releases, and all of Wendy's wonderful artwork in the All Dressed Up Stamps Etsy Shop. You can see what the other talented design team members created in the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook Group, and on the All Dressed Up Stamps Challenge Blog

Hello Autumn -- for The Paper Shelter Challenge

It's Wednesday, and every Wednesday, a new challenge starts at The Paper Shelter Challenge blog.  Challenges have a theme, and run for a week.  Today, the theme is "Layer it Up".  I love to play with papers, so I used paper for my layers! Of course, any image will work for this, and we love seeing those Paper Shelter images.  If you are the lucky winner, you'll get a $30 gift certificate to the Paper Shelter Store!!  Otherwise, it's 3 images of your choice.

It's Autumn on the calendar, and leaves are changing and dropping fast where I live, so I was in an Autumn state of mind while coloring and creating my card.  So, I used the darling Autumn is Coming image to create this:

I colored Autumn is Coming with Spectrum Noir Tricolor Markers, and a few Copics.  Doesn't she look happy about the change of seasons?  She must not be the one doing the raking, lol!

I used 5 patterned papers, and they are all from a Crafter's Companion 8x8 Everyday paper pad.  The rectangle dies are from Spellbinders, and all other dies are from Tonic Studios.  The gems are from my stash.

I hope you can join us for our 'Layer it Up' challenge this week at The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog.  I'd love to see what you create!

Halloween 2021 -- for SheepSki Designs

It's October 1, and there is a new challenge underway on the SheepSki Designs Challenge Blog.  The theme this month is hot &/or cold colors.  You don't have to use a SheepSki Designs image, but we sure like to see them (plus you win an extra image if your name is drawn).

For my card for this challenge, I found another gnome to color up!  I love Andrea's gnomes!  This is Masked, and I thought it just might work for Halloween:

I colored Masked With Copic markers, concentrating on this hot reds and cold blue colors.  Then, I went in search of papers that would work for Halloween.  I found them at We Are 3 Digital Shop.  The spider web paper is from the Web Works collection. The other paper has been retired.

I computer generated the sentiment, and used a die from Crafter's Companion to cut it out and back it.  The bats are a die from from Spellbinders.

I hope you can join us this month at SheepSki Designs Challenge Blog.  I'd love to see your hot &/or Cold creations!

Haunted House -- for Dies R Us Challenges

It's October 1, the month of spooky cats, witches, trick-or-treaters, and of course, haunted houses, so when it came time to make a card for today's card at Dies R Us Challenges, I knew it had to have a Halloween theme.  You, however, can make anything you want.  Just use a brand of die sold in the Dies R Us Store. The challenge will run for the next 2 weeks.

I don't make many Halloween cards, and when I do, I don't want them to be too creepy or spooky.  I prefer the cute side of Halloween.  Today, though, I went with spooky...

This Haunted Manor is a Spellbinders Die. This exact die isn't available in the Dies R Us store, but if you search 'haunted house', you'll find some that are very close.  The bats are by Impression Obsession.  The hillside has a row of stitching on it.  It is hard to see cut out in black.  It is a die by Lawn Fawn. (Stitched Hillside Border Dies) The Boo!  Is one of my favorite Halloween sentiment dies.  It is also by Spellbinders. It is part of the Boo Web set.

The background paper on this card is by We Are 3 Digital Shop.  It is one of the Halloween Night papers. Some burnt orange Timeless Twine finished off the card.

I hope you can join our Anything Goes challenge at Dies R Us Challenges this next 2 weeks. We give away a gift certificate to the Dies R Us Store, and 3 designer choice awards each challenge.

For our Canadian friends, check out the Didi Crafts store for wonderful craft supplies and reasonable shipping rates.

Spring Bookworm -- for Ching-Chou Kuik

Today is my day to post for Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration & Challenge Blog!  I love Tuesdays!  The challenge that runs all month has the theme of Think Pink for Breast Cancer.  We want to see your pink Creations.

This week, the design team was given the added challenge of using handmade flowers on our project.  I used Spring Bookworm, and created some flowers to add:

I colored Spring Bookworm with a combination of Copic and Spectrum Noir markers.  I then fussy cut the image, die cut out a stitched circle (Crafter's Companion) and placed Spring Bookworm on it. The slimline die and the 'Friend' sentiment are from Diamond Press. The flowers are dies from Spellbinders that I colored with watercolor markers and layered.

I hope you can join our "Think Pink" Challenge.  You'll find another challenge and great inspiration in the CCK Facebook Group

Dahlia -- for Ching-Chou Kuik

It's Tuesday, and it's my day to post on the Ching Chou Kuik Inspiration & Challenge Blog.  I love any chance I can get to play with the gorgeous Ching-Chou Kuik images! We have a challenge underway, with the theme of Think Pink for Breast Cancer.

For today's pink creation, I used the gorgeous image, Dahlia. She's pretty in pink, I think:

I colored Dahlia with a combination of Spectrum Noir and Copic markers.  The ornate frame behind her is by Spellbinders.  The design team was given the added challenge of using buttons this week, and I thought this frame lended itself well to the 4 buttons.  The background paper and the pearlescent paper are both from Crafter's Companion.  The 'Faith' sentiment is from a company no longer in business.

I hope you can join us this month for our "Think Pink" Challenge.  There's another challenge in the CCK Facebook Group, and great inspiration there, and on the CCK Inspiration & Challenge Blog

Attitude is Everything -- for The Paper Shelter

It's Wednesday, and a new challenge starts every Wednesday over on The Paper Shelter Challenge blog. This week, our theme is "use ribbon,  string, &/or lace".  I love using twine (string) so I used that, plus a little ribbon on my DT card.

One of the newest releases in The Paper Shelter store is The Bricklayer.  I find her enchanting, and full of possibilities!

I colored The Bricklayer with a combination of Copic and Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. The sentiment was computer generated.

The brick wall die cut is a die from Crafter's Companion.  I thought it was perfect for this Bricklayer image.  I cut the image out and framed it with Spellbinders oval dies. I used some Timeless twine, and a bit of crinkle ribbon by D.L. Art

I hope you can join us this week at The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog. Remember, the theme is: use ribbon, string, or lace.  If you're the random winner, and you use an image from The Paper Shelter, you'll win a $30 gift certificate to the store.  Otherwise, you'll get any 3 images of your choice!  Fun, fun, either way!

Challenges last a month and have a theme.  This month, the theme is: Boys and Girls Come Out to Play.  You'll find many darling images that fit that theme in the SheepSki Designs Etsy Shop, but you can use any image you want (though we'd love to see a SheepSki Designs one, of course!)

Boys and girls come out to play, but how about gnomes? Here's my first Halloween card for 2021:

This adorable gnome is Trick or Treat, #228.  I colored it with Copic markers, then fussy cut it.

The papers on this card are by We Are 3 Digital Shop. The orange paper is from the Cute Halloween Collection. The plaid is from the Autumn Flannel Collection. The glitter trim is from Close To My Heart, and so is the tag die.  All the other dies are from Spellbinders.

I hope you can join us this month for our Boys & Girls Come Out and Play challenge at SheepSki Designs Challenge Blog.   I'd love to see what you create!

Musical Mini Slimline -- for Paper ala Mode Challenges

It's Saturday, and it's the start of a new challenge at the Paper ala Mode over at The Outlawz.  Challenges run for 2 weeks and have a theme.  For the next 2 weeks, the theme is "musical".  Our sponsor is We Are 3 Digital Shop. Bonnie will award one gift certificate to the We Are 3 Digital Shop.  Hurray!

I've jumped on the band wagon for the Slimline card craze, but until today, I hadn't tried a mini slimline.  This seemed like a good time to start.  Here's my first mini slimline card...

The papers on this card are the Just a Song papers (background) and the Gingham Pastel  The "You are Amazing" note is one of the Notes printables.

The background, oval die,  and the notes were cut out with dies from Spellbinders.

Here's a slightly different version of the card that I made:

Luxury Purple -- for Ching-Chou Kuik

It's Tuesday, and it's my day to post on the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration & Challenge Blog. I love my Tuesdays on the blog!

For my inspiration card today, I used the beautiful image, Luxury Purple.  It comes in a black & white version, that I used here.  There is also a partially colored version that may interest you.

I colored Luxury Purple with Copic markers and Spectrum Noir markers, then fuzzy cut the image.  I backed her on a die cut by Spellbinders.  The pretty flowered paper is by Crafter's Companion.  I computer generated the sentiment and placed it on a die by Crafter's Companion -- cut twice.  The gems are from my stash.

Autumn's Here -- for Ching-Chou Kuik

It's Tuesday, and this is the day I'm lucky enough to post on the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration & Challenge Blog. The current challenge is underway, with a theme of Thanksgiving, or Autumn, or Fall, or Autumn colors (red, orange, & green).

For today's inspirational card, I used the lovely image, Autumn's Here, colored with Copics:

I cut the image out and backed it with two oval dies by Spellbinders.  The sunflower paper and the dotted paper is from AMB Illustrations.  The You Shine sentiment is from Tonic Studios.  The crinkle ribbon is from D.L. Art. She has some scrumptious crinkle ribbon.

You're Doggone Amazing -- for All Dressed Up Stamps

August 1 -- and that means it's the start of a new challenge  in the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook Group.  The challenge will run all month, and the theme is "Be Square". Easy peasy, right?  Grab your favorite All Dressed Up Stamps digi from the store, color it up, make it square, and join us!  You could win more incredible digis for the next challenge!

I have many favorite All Dressed Up Stamps images, and I'd be hard pressed to pick just one, but I think Play Day ranks right up there as one of those that makes me smile every time!

I colored Play Day with mostly Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, using just a few Copics.  I used a Spellbinders die to make the image a square.  I computer generated the sentiment and used another Spellbinders set to make the sentiment square.  The paw print paper is from AMB Illustrations.   The die cut paw print is from Cheery Lynn.  The twine is from my stash.

Books are Magic -- For Lil Patch of Crafty Friends

It's the 1st Sunday of the month, and it's time for a new challenge at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends. The challenges are always Anything Goes, and it will run for 2 weeks.  For the next 2 weeks, we have the awesome sponsor, Ching-Chou Kuik!  I adore the art of Ching-Chou Kuik,  so it was pure pleasure for me to "work" with these images.  Besides, I was just waiting for an excuse to color up this particular image that I received.  This is Lil Bookworm Fairy

I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite CCK image out of all of them I've collected, but this would surely be in the top 5.  I am an avid book reader, so it tugs at my heart.

I colored Lil Bookworm Fairy with Copic markers.  I cut her and and backed her with dies by Spellbinders, inking around the outside of the die with Wisteria ink by Close To My Heart.  The background paper is by Crafter's Companion.  The sentiment was computer generated.  The crinkle ribbon was from my stash. The tiny cat die is from my stash, but I believe it originates from a Crafter's Companion Advent set.

I hope you are able to join our Anything Goes Challenge at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends.  I'd love to see your creations, and you could win a wonderful prize from Ching-Chou Kuik, and pick wonderful digis, like this one!

Happy Birthday, with feeling! For The Paper Shelter

Today is an exciting day for me!  It's my first day posting for The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog.  The Paper Shelter has a new challenge that starts every Wednesday.  The challenge has an easy to accomplish theme.  Prizes are very generous, and even more amazing if you use a Paper Shelter image.  So, check out the awesome Paper Shelter store, and color up an image, or use the pre-colored option and create a card for this week's theme -- Birthday!  I'm on team B, so will be posting every other week, but I'm super excited about this adventure!

Birthdays!  They should include friends, family, favorite foods, and in my opinion, music!  So, with that in mind, I colored up the most adorable The Saxophonist image.  The amazing thing about The Paper Shelter products is that they come with a black & white version (used here), a pre-colored version, one matching paper, and one composition.  That's a lot of bang for your buck!

I colored The Saxophonist with Copic markers.  I bet you can guess what tune he's playing on his saxophone, can't you?  After all, this is a birthday card!

I used nesting dies and a banner die by Crafter's Companion on this card.  The 'Happy Birthday' stamp is also from Crafter's Companion.  The musical notes are dies from Spellbinders.

The background paper on this card is from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  It is one of the papers in the Tones of Gray set

I hope you can join The Paper Shelter Challenge this week for our Birthday themed challenge.  I'd love to see what you create, and we have incredible prizes you could win -- like this The Saxophonist image!

It's Sunday, and it's time for another Stella Says Sketch Challenge over on the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog for Bugaboo Stamps. There is only one sketch challenge a month now, so you have lots of time to enter this one!

I'll show you my card first, then the sketch for this challenge.  Since next weekend is Memorial Day here in the USA, I went with a patriotic theme.  This is one of my favorite patriotic themed Bugaboo images -- USA Flag Puppy...

I colored USA Flag Puppy with Copic markers, and used papers from Close To My Heart for the card.

Here's the current Stella Says Sketch:

As you can see, I followed it very closely, only changing where I placed the sentiment.

I hope you can join us this month for the Stella Says Sketch Challenge at Catch the Bug Challenges.  You'll find a Canadian equivalent of this digi, and other wonderful ones in the Bugaboo Stamps Store
