A Special Gift Bag -- For Paper ala Mode

It's Saturday, and it's time for a new challenge at The Outlawz.  The Saturday Paper ala Mode Challenge, that is! Our challenges are always sponsored by We Are 3 Digital Shop. The theme for the next 2 weeks is Gift Bags.  Oh, I like this theme!  I always enjoy making gift bags and gift boxes!

Since my mother-in-law's birthday is next week, I took advantage of this challenge to make her a gift bag.  This bag is just the right size to hold a couple pieces of chocolate -- just the right amount for a lady who says she's watching calories, but secretly likes to munch (just like her daughter-in-law).

I cut this bag out on my Silhouette Cameo 3 with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store. The designer paper on this bag is Watercolor Textures. I used 3 different designs from the set. The sentiment is from the For You Sentiment Set.

I cut the "For You" sentiment out on a tag by Spellbinders.  The butterfly is a die from Cheery Lynn.  The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I hope you can join us this next 2 weeks at the Paper ala Mode Challenges.  I'd love to see what you create with this theme, and you could win a gift certificate to Bonnie wonderful shop!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Holiday Chaos, Day 3 at Bugaboo Stamps

Reindeer Games continues today with an Anything But a Card Challenge.  Use your creativity -- boxes, bags, tags, scrapbook layouts, whatever you want (as long as it's not a card) is the theme today at Catch the Bug Challenges

What's Christmas without tags?  So, that's what I made for today's challenge:

These tags use the adorable Bugaboo Stamps digis called AKV Reindeer Names Tags.  I used the pre-colored versions on these tags.

I cut them out with dies form Queen & Company, and used some twine I purchased at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Join us all week at Catch the Bug Challenges!  Today, it's Anything But a Card.

Butterfly & Fern Thank You -- for Ching-Chou Kuik

Today is a big day for me!  I am posting for the first time on the Ching-Chou Kuik Challenge and Inspiration Blog.  Yes, I made this awesome team!  I've long been a fan of Ching-Chou Kuik art, so I'm super excited about this!

The Ching-Chou Kuik Challenge theme this month is Remembrance or Thanksgiving (thanks).  With that theme in mind, I created this:

This card uses the beautiful Butterfly & Fern  image from the Ching-Chou Kuik Etsy Store.  I don't often use watercolors, but I really enjoy it when I do.  For this card, I got out my Spectrum Noir watercolor pencils. There is also a gorgeous pre-colored version of Butterfly & Fern image available.

I cut out and backed the image with Spellbinders dies.  The lacy butterfly die is by Cheery Lynn.  The pretty fern paper is from AMB Illustrations, and the great burlap trim was purchased at Really Reasonably Ribbon.

Join us this month for our Remembrance/Thanksgiving Challenge at the Ching-Chou Kuik Challenge and Inspiration Blog. You'll find inspiration on the blog everyday, and more great inspiration in the Ching-Chou Kuik Facebook Group

Spooky Boo! for Dies R Us Challenges

It's the 15th of the month, so it's time for a new challenge at Dies R Us Challenges.  On the 1st and the 15th, they start -- just like clockwork!  The challenges have a theme, and you need to use a die sold in the Dies R Us Store. The theme for the next 2 weeks is "Boo" (Halloween).  We'd love to see those Halloween creations, and remember, use a die sold in the Dies R Us Store.

I like cute Halloween, not spooky Halloween, so what better die to feature than than Tutti designs, Cute Witch:

I cut Cute Witch out 3 different times, using black, grape, and orange card stock colors.  I did a little cutting, then paper pieced them together.  The bats I used on this card are from Spellbinders, but I think this set from Impression Obsession would work just as well. The sentiment is from Tonic Studios, but this Boo! from Serendipity Dies is really cute!

The papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop. The witches hat paper is from the Cute Halloween papers. The stripe across the middle is a piece of paper from Halloween Night.  The spiderweb ribbon is from Really Reasonable ribbon.

I hope you can join us for our Halloween challenge at Dies R Us Challenge Blog.  You can find lots of great dies at Dies R Us, and their sister store (especially for Canadian customers) Didi Crafts.

Thinking Good Thoughts -- For JDS Challenges

It's time for some mid-challenge inspiration on the Jan's Digi Stamp Challenge Blog.  Challenges run all month, and are always anything goes -- cards, crocheting, gardening, your sand castle at the beach, whatever it is you've created, we'd love to see it linked up at JDS Challenges

Jan Mayhew has many fantastic digital sets in her shop.  Each set has black & white and pre-colored images, and the sets come with several sentiments.  You are sure to find something you'd enjoy creating with.  Stop on by and take a look at her beautiful art work at the Jan's Digi Stamps Shop

One of my new favorite sets is the Wildflower Blossoms.  I love the delicate flowers, and this month, I also colored up the awesome vase!

I colored Wildflower Blossoms with Copic markers, then used one of the sentiments in the Bonnet Bouquet set.

My card base is 5x7.  I cut a piece of black glitter card at 6.75x4.75, then I cut out the mosaic corner die by Crafter's Companion on a piece of blossom card stock the same size.  I glued this to the black glitter card.  All the other dies are from Spellbinders.  The black ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I hope you can join us at JDS challenges this month! The current challenge runs until Sept. 6.  There will be two gift certificates awarded.  One for a Jan's Digi Stamp image and one random winner.  There will also be 3 designer choice awards.  Come join in the fun!

Butterflies & Berries -- for Lil Patch of Crafty Friends

It's the first Sunday of the month, and there's a new Anything Goes challenge starting at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends.  Challenges run for a month, so you have plenty of time to link up with us, and we have wonderful sponsors!

Speaking of wonderful sponsors, this month's sponsor is Ching-Chou Kuik.  I just love her images, so I jumped at the chance to color up this Butterflies & Berries image, found in her Etsy Shop.

Here's Butterflies & Berries, colored with Copic markers:

The pretty background papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are from the Shirley's Roses Collection

I used dies from Crafter's Companion to cut this out, then added ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I hope you join us this month at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends for our always anything goes challenge.  Remember to check out our wonderful sponsor, Ching-Chou Kuik!

Gnome for the Holidays! for Lil' Patch of Crafty Friends

It's with pleasure that I am posting today for the Lil' Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog! My crafty friend, Joy runs the team, and I'm super excited to be on another team with her -- and this time she's my "boss"! It's a great challenge blog (always anything goes with the exception of July where it's a Christmas in July theme), and there's always wonderful sponsors!

Speaking of great sponsors, for the next 2 weeks, our sponsor is Pattie's Creations. Pattie is offering a prize of 2 digis of your choice from her Etsy Shop.  Great prize!

I love gnomes, so when given the opportunity to use this adorable Winter Gnome, I colored it up right away! Here's the card I came up with:

I colored Winter Gnome with a combination of Copic markers and Spectrum Noir markers, then fussy cut it.  The G-N-M-and E were cut out with dies from Spellbinders.  The 'for the holidays is computer generated.  I found that pretty snowflake paper in the AMB Illustrations store, and the blue ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

That's it for my Winter Gnome card.  Come link up a Christmas in July project, or whatever you'd like at Lil' Patch of Crafty Friends, and thanks to Pattie's Creations for her lovely sponsorship!

Good Times and Good Friends -- for The Outlawz Saturday Paper ala Mode Challenge

Its Saturday, and every other Saturday finds a new challenge happening over on the Outlawz Saturday Paper ala Mode Challenges.  For the whole year, challenges are sponsored by We Are 3 Digital Shop, and a winner is chosen for every challenge (so 2 each month).  For the next 2 weeks, the theme is "A Splash of Pink".  Oh!  That's a fun challenge!  I think many of us like to use pink in our designs, and it only needs a splash of color to qualify for the challenge!

Here's what a created:

I used mainly products from our sponsor, We Are 3 Digital Shop.  The background paper of high pink flowers and the grey checked of the doily are both from  the Sweetheart papers.  The wreath is one of Darcy's Florals printables.  The sentiment is one of 4 in the Friendship Sentiments Set.

The card stock base is from Close To My Heart, and the pretty pink ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I hope you join us these next 2 weeks for our "Splash of Pink" Challenge at The Outlawz Saturday Paper ala Mode

Best Wishes -- For Jan's Digi Stamps Challenges

Jan's Digi Stamps Challenges are now month-long challenges, so I'm posting today just to remind my blog readers of this change, and to get another fantastic new release image out on social media. I created today using the  beautiful set called Pansies for Mom.

This set is perfect for Mother's Day, but also many other occasions. I used a pre-colored image here, and inked around the edge of the die cut to bring it to life a bit more.  The Best Wishes sentiment comes with the set, but there are several others, including a Mother's Day sentiment.  There are also several more pre-colored individual pansies.

The die cut edger is from Crafter's Companion, as is the designer paper.  I used a Spellbinders stitched oval die to cut out the Pansies for Mom image and sentiment.  The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

You still have a few more days to join in on the Anything Goes Challenge at Jan's Digi Stamp Challenges.  I'd love to have you join  us! There is a random gift certificate for $10, and a gift certificate for someone using a JDS image

Ladybug Thank You -- For Bugaboo Stamps

It's challenge time at Catch the Bug Challenges, using Bugaboo Stamps!  Today begins a week-long bingo challenge.  It's an easy bingo card for you to follow along with.

First, my card, then, I'll show you the bingo card:

I used the very versatile image, Thank You Flower, to create my card:

I love the look of colored pencils on Kraft, so I thought I would do that on this challenge.  The Thank You Flower is a very easy color. I used Faber Castell pencils to get this look.

Here's the bingo card:
I went diagonally (stitching, Bugaboo image, flower) or straight across the bottom (stitching, twine, sentiment).

Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  I used a paper from both the Ladybug Lace and the Ladybug Lace Too collections.  The "stitching" was accomplished by using a Spellbinders die. I added the twine using some I purchased through Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I hope you can join us this week for our bingo challenge at Catch the Bug!  I'd love to see your creations, and there are wonderful prizes up for grabs!

To Cheer You -- for JDS Challenges

It's Monday, and starting today, Jan's Digistamp Challenges are going to once a month.  They are still Anything Goes, with you being to enter absolutely whatever you are working on - from crocheting, to gardening, to coloring, to cardmaking projects. Jan's Digi Stamp images are great to see, but not required.  We will start rewarding 2 gift certificates per challenge -- one random project, and one for a JDS image.  There will still be designer choice projects, too.  From now on, the challenge will begin on the first Monday of the month, and will end on the Sunday before the first Monday.

I don't know why, but I love to color rusty things, so when I saw this collection called Rustic Flowers in Jan's Shop, I knew I had to have it!

Using one of the black & white images and one of the sentiments in the set, I created this:

I colored the image from Rustic Flowers with Copic markers, then used 2 sizes of Spellbinders dies to cut it out and back it. The designer papers on this card are from Crafter's Companion.  The card is 5x7.  The blue ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I hope you can join us this month at JDS Challenge Blog.  It is easy to link up whatever you are working on.  I'd love to see your creations!

I colored Early Hedgehog Dandelion with Copic markers, then used a couple papers from the new We Are 3 Springtime papers.  A bit of yellow ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon finished off the card.

I hope you can join us this Friday (or any Friday) at Colour Crazy Challenges.  Images must be hand colored, but after that, its anything goes.

Hoppy Easter Card for Dies R Us Inspiration Blog

Today is my last day posting on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog.  I have so enjoyed my time on the team, but my term is up, and it's time for someone else to have a chance at this awesome team. I have really enjoyed it!

Since we're closing in on Easter, I thought I'd showcase an adorable Bunny die today, found in the Dies R Us Store. This is Floral Bunny by Tutti Designs:

I think this floral bunny design is so darn cute!

Here's a photo of all the supplies used on this card:

I started by cutting out the card base.  This is a floral card panel by Spellbinders, but this one by Nellie's Choice would work equally as well. I used a circle die that was just a bit bigger than the Floral Bunny.  This one has been in my stash for many years.  Dies R Us has many circle dies. This set of Never-ending Circle Dies From Kat Scrappiness would work especially well!

Here's a picture of everything once it's all die cut.  I cut a bit off of the circle, just to add a little character.

Once everything was die cut, I assembled it all using ScrapPerfect Best Glue Ever, added gems to both the floral card front and the floral bunny, and finished it all with a yellow ribbon.

I'll leave you with one last view of the Bunny card:

Don't forget to shop both the Dies R Us Store and the Didi Crafts Store for tons of awesome dies and other great products.  Dies R Us now ships to Canada, too! Also, don't forget about the Dies R Us Challenges on the 1st and 15th of each month.  There are great prizes you could win! Check out this blog everyday for great inspiration!

Some Bunny Loves You -- for All Dressed Up Stamps

It's March (already!) and it's time for a new challenge in the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook Group. This month's theme is "my favorite color".  You'd think that would be an easy one, but I always  way over think this. My favorite color changes with the season, it changes with what medium I'm using to color, and even what kind of paper I'm using.  See? I make it way too hard.  In general though, I prefer blue and pink in life, so that's what I chose for today's card.

Using All Dressed Up Stamp's image, Some Bunny Loves Me, I created this:

I colored Some Bunny Loves Me with Copic markers in my favorite pinks and blues, then used dies from Anna Griffin to create the card base.  The papers on the card are from Close To My Heart. The pretty blue ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

You have all month to enter the "favorite color" challenge in the All Dressed Up Facebook Group. Visit the All Dressed Up Stamps Shop to pick out your favorite image, color it up with your favorite color(s), and enter it in the challenge. I'd love to see what you create!

Thoughtful Thank You card -- for Dies R Us Inspiration Blog

I'm posting today for the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog.  I love having a chance to play with my die collection!

I never seem to have enough thank you cards on hand, so I made another one for today, using a die set by Spellbinders, but many similar dies in the Dies R Us Store would work:

There are many bird dies in the Dies R Us Store  that you could make this card with, but this one by Memory Box would work particularly well.  I cut the bird out on white card stock, then inked it to get this effect.

You will find many "Thank You" sentiments in the Dies R Us Store, but the one for Dee's Distinctively Dies is very similar in size to what I used on this card.  And, of course, any sentiment would work.

The papers in this card are by We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are 2 of the papers in the Touch of Teal Collection. The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I hope you visit the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog often for great ideas on how to use your dies.  Then, shop the wonderful selection of products in the Dies R Us and Didi's Crafts Stores.

Wintery Treat Bags -- for We Are 3 Digital Shop

It's a long cold winter where I live,  and we are always getting creativity when it comes to ways to pass the time until the warm weather rolls around again.  Crafting fills a lot of time, but I love to be outdoors, too.  Recently some friends and I went on a snowshoe picnic.  It was us, our dogs, and a hike through the woods.  We stopped about 1/2 way and ate a little lunch.  I brought these treat bags along for a fun wintery surprise, carried in my dog's backpack:

The bags are small, measuring 3x4.  Each one has 2 small squares of my favorite chocolate.  I figured that was just enough energy to get us back to the trailhead!

There were 5 of us on the adventure, so I made 5 bags altogether, using a die from Lawn Fawn.  They all use We Are 3 Digital Shop images and digital papers.

This bag uses Snowman Heart Mitten image and a paper from Loving Winter

The other bags all use various elements from the Snowflakes images and papers from Shabby Christmas:

There you have it!  Easy to put together, fun for the get together, and they were a hit!

Floral Thank You - For Jan's Digi Stamps

It's the third Monday of the month, so it's time for a new challenge at Jan's Digi Stamp Challenges.  They occur every first and third Monday, so set your schedule!  The challenges are always anything goes, and we want to see what you're working on, as long as it's craft related (or just creative - I'd love to see your decorated cake!)

Jan recently released a set called Tea Time.  It is an absolutely stunning set with a tea cup, a tea tin full of flowers, an inidividual flower, and some sentiments.  Images are both colored and black & white.  I decided to focus on the single blossom and highlight that:

I colored this Sweet Pea blossom (part of the Tea Time set) with some Nuvo alcohol markers I tried for the first time.  Their nibs are very different than what I'm used to, and will take some practice.  The sentiment is part of the Tea Time set.

Papers are on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are 3 of the papers in the Garden Dance paper collection.

The stitched oval dies have been in my collection long enough, I no longer know where I got them. The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I hope you can join us this next 2 weeks over at Jan's Digi Stamps Challenges.  One $10 gift certificate will be awarded, plus some designer choice awards.

Warm Wintery Wishes -- for Bugaboo Stamps

It's Saturday, and that means it's time for a new challenge over at Catch The Bug Challenge Blog! Today, we have a bingo challenge, and I'll share the bingo board in a bit, after  I show you my card.

It's snowy, and it's dark, and it's cold where I live, so this cheerful snowman will be perfect to brighten some cold soul's day!

Found in the Bugaboo Stamps Store, this is part of Snowman Block  Set.  I colored one of the snowmen in the set (there are 2), with Copic markers, then used one of the sentiments in the set (there is another one).

Here's the bingo card for this week's challenge at Catch the Bug.
I  went diagonally, using snowflakes (in my background paper), a Bugaboo image, and ribbon.

Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop. I used 2 papers from the Snowmen Paper Collection.

You have a week to enter the bingo challenge over at Catch the Bug! I'd love to see your beautiful creations!

Friendship Warms the Heart -- for All Dressed Up Stamps!

2020!  What better way to start out the year than with a new challenge in the All Dressed Up Facebook Group, and what better theme to get the year going than "Make it Girly".  It is the perfect All Dressed Up Stamps theme, as son many of Wendy's wonderful images are as girly as it gets.  Check out the All Dressed Up Stamps Etsy Shop and you'll see what I mean!

We're had a very snowy season so far where I live so I was in the mood to color up this adorable Sledging All the Way digital image:

I colored Sledging All the Way with Copic markers, then added some icicle Stickles to the earmuffs, pompoms, and snowflakes.  To  make sure she was extra girly, I added the lace and ribbon to the card.

The designer papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop. I used 3 of the papers from the Christmas Magic paper collection. The sentiment is a retired acrylic stamp from Close To My Heart.  The snowflake dies are from Crafter's Companion.

Start 2020 out right and join us at the All Dressed Up Facebook Group for the 'Make it Girly' Challenge!  How fun is That!

Happy Holidays -- For Jan's Digi Stamps

Here we go!  Challenge #2 at Jan's Digi Stamps Challenges, or, as those of us that have followed her work affectionately refer to it as, JDS Designs Challenge Blog.  The challenges will be on the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month, so what a great way to start out your week! The will run until noon (Eastern) the Sunday before the new challenge.  You'll find all the rules on a tab at the JDS Designs Challenge Blog.  Her beautiful digis can be found in her shop here.

Starting to feel the need to make Christmas cards? Maybe you need to mass produce a few? Jan's Digi Stamps are perfect for this.  Each set comes with both a black & white version, and a pre-colored version.  Today, I'm showcasing a pre-colored image to show how easily they make up into a card, and how pretty they are!

This card uses 2 different sets from Jan's store:  Tree Scene and Reindeer There are several options of trees in the Tree Scene set, but this is the one I chose to work with that awesome reindeer.  What a rack on that guy!  The sentiment is also from the Tree Scene set.

I used edger dies from Queen & Company to cut out the image and back it.  Papers on this card are from Lemoncraft, out of Poland. The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

You have 2 weeks to join in the Anything Goes Challenge at JDS Challenge blog.  You can truly link up anything -- cards, mini albums, sewing projects, knitting -- Anything Goes!  You have until noon Eastern of the Sunday before the next challenge begins.  You might win a $9 gift certificate to the store!
