Can I Ski, Too? For Di's Digi Designs Challenges

It's Saturday, and it's time for a new challenge at Di's Digi Designs Challenge Blog.  Every other Saturday, a new challenge starts, with the most adorable digis in the world for you to win! For the next 2 weeks, the theme is "Embossing - wet or dry". This theme is one of the harder ones for me.  I used an embossing folder to meet the criteria.

I used the adorable digi, Can I Ski Too? to create this:

I colored Can I Ski Too? with Copic markers.  I used a confetti embossing folder from Close To My Heart.  I was hoping it looked like snow!

The sentiment is from We Are 3 Digital Shop.   It is part of the Snow Days Sentiment set.  The snowflake banner is a die from La La Land Crafts.  I used a bit of twine from Timeless Twine to finish the card.

Embossing - wet or dry -- you have 2 weeks to enter the challenge at Di's Digi Designs Challenge. I'd love to see your embossed creations!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Snow Day -- Freebie Friday at Bugaboo Stamps

It's Friiidaaaaaaay!  That means there's a freeeebiiiiiiieeeeee at Bugaboo Stamps!

Today's freebie is Eggbert Winter, and there is some serious cuteness going on here!

I colored Eggbert Winter with Copic markers.  I believe those are red running shoes that he has on, because any serious runner will be out in any kind of weather, even if they do have to balance a pile of snowballs while they run!

The Snow Day! sentiment is from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  It is just one from the Snow Days set.

The snowy background was created on my Silhouette Cameo 3 with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store.  The snowbank was cut freehand with a scissors.  The snowflake banner is a die from La La Land Crafts and I've been using it a lot lately.

The other Bugaboo designers did some wonderful things with Eggbert.  Check out all the inspiration at Catch the Bug blog.  Grab the freebie, and enter it in our challenges.  You can win more free stuff!  Do some shopping while you are at the Bugaboo Store.  There's so many great images to choose from!

Best Diet Ever! for Scribbles Designs

Happy Hump Day, everyone!  It's Inspiration Day on the Scribbles Designs blog, and I have a truly inspirational card for those of you trying to stick to your New Year's resolutions!

Using Carla Diet Queen Diva:

I colored Carla Diet Queen Diva with Copic markers.  The sentiment was computer generated.

I used a sketch from Cheerful Sketches Challenges on this card.  They are a new sketch challenge for me, so I'm excited to link up! Here's the sketch I used:
Papers on this card were found at Pixel Scrapper.  I used the search word 'Cookies', and these delicious looking papers turned up.  Yum, yum!  They are fat free!

I hope you, like Carla, are having good luck with your New Year's resolutions!  Diet on!

Nuts About You! for Bugaboo Stamps

Did you know that Squirrel Appreciation Day was celebrated this week?  Well, it's Humor Me Wednesday at Bugaboo Stamps, and I thought Squirrel Appreciation Day was well worth celebrating!

Here's my card in honor of the day, using Squirrel:

I colored up the Squirrel digi with Copic markers.  Isn't he magnificent?  My dog, Winter, would certainly love to chase this fine Squirrel! The bushier the tail, the more fun they are to chase!

Papers on this card were found at Pixel Scrapper. I searched 'Acorn'.  I found the sentiment that way, too. The acorn die cut is from a die I purchased at Peachy Cheap.

Visit the Catch the Bug blog to see what other obscure days are being celebrated this week.  Did you know it's National Pie Day? That's certainly worth celebrating!

Snow Days are the Best Days! for Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez

I love snow days!  Unfortunately, we've had more days of freezing rain here in NW Wisconsin this year than we've had snow,  but there's still plenty of winter ahead, so I'm not giving up hope.

Today, I'm posting for Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez.  Patricia has some of the cutest snowman images, and today's is not exception. This is Snowman Taking Photos:

I colored Snowman Taking Photos with Copic markers.  The sentiment is from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  It's from the Snow Days Sentiment Set

The snowy background was cut out on my Silhouette Cameo 3 with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store.  The snowflake banner is from La La Land Crafts.

Inspirational Birthday -- for Path of Positivity

It's Monday, and it's time for some mid-challenge inspiration at Path of Positivity Challenge Blog. Our theme this month is "anything inspirational" -- that's a pretty broad topic!

After surviving cancer, I have a different outlook on birthdays.  Any birthday needs to be celebrated with gusto, and just making it to the next one is inspirational and cause for a wonderful celebration. You will never hear me complain about turning a year older again!

I have a birthday card for the challenge today, featuring an image and sentiment from one of our sponsors this month, Scribbles Designs.  When you first look at it, it might not look particularly inspirational, but it is!  This birthday card, intentionally made with bright colors and bright papers, is for a friend with cancer.  When diagnosed, she didn't know if she'd make it to her upcoming birthday, but she will.  We are going to celebrate it big time.  She won't see another one, so this one has to be REALLY special!

Here's the card:
This card uses an image and sentiment from the Carl Party set. I colored the presents with Copic markers.

Papers on this card are from Pixel Scrapper.  I love how colorful they are!

I found a sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches and really liked it, so you used on this card.  It will be my first time entering one of their challenges, so I'm excited about that!
Here's the sketch:

Winter Blues -- for Aloha Friday Challenges

It's Friday, and today it's time for some midway inspiration on the Aloha Friday Challenge blog.  This time, the theme is Winter Blues.  One of our sponsors is Scribbles Designs.  I loved using this Wintertime Subway Art!

I was able to create a very fast card, simply printing the Wintertime Subway Art, adding a bit of color, then adding some die cuts.

The background paper is from We Are 3.  It is from the newly released Snowmen paper.  The snowflake banner is from La La Land Crafts.  I don't know who makes the deer die cut.  I've had it for quite awhile.

The Winter Blues challenge goes for another week at Aloha Friday Challenges.  I hope you can join us!  Link up through next Thursday, January 24!

Monster Party! for Bugaboo Stamps

And the party goes on!At Bugaboo Stamps, we've been celebrating all week with a 9th Birthday celebration, and it's been a Monster Bash!  The fun is all happening at Catch the Bug Challenge Blog. Today's fun is a color challenge.

I'll show you my card first, featuring the Monsters 4 Block, then the color scheme I used:

I only used one of the 4 monsters in the Monster 4 Block digi set. I put the whole square image in my photo editing software and cropped out all but one image, saving it as a jpg, then it was just a matter of coloring it up with Copic markers and creating the card.

Here's the color photo I used for this card:

My photo turned out a bit dark because of the silver stars on my card.  Sorry about that!  Papers on this card are an old stack from My Mind's Eye. I computer generated the sentiment.

So, now it's your turn to join in the fun!  It's a color challenge, and seriously, it's hard to NOT find a color in that color photo.  Find a monster image at Bugaboo Stamps and join us.  There are TONS of prizes to be won this week.  If you need a monster image, check out the freebie from last Friday!

Party Hardy -- it's a New Release for Bugaboo's 9th Birthday!

It's a big birthday party this week at Bugaboo Stamps!  For 9 years now, Jodie has been creating fun, quirky, sometimes sentimental, always wonderful digital images for us to create with.  Nine years!  That much creativity totally blows me out of the water!  Some of the first images I ever colored up were Bugaboo Stamps, and I still love them today. We're celebrating all week long with a super party.  All the details are at the Catch The Bug Blog. It's one big Monster Party.

Today's new release was created just for this party.  It will be the image that all prize winners will get as part of their prize package this week (plus lots of other goodies, too!).

This digi is called Monsters Topper, and you'll find it at a special price, if you'd like to buy it, but you might get lucky enough to win it with all the winners that will be chosen this week!

I colored Monsters Topper with Copic markers, then fussy cut the image.   I added a party hat and candle that are stickers. They are not part of the original image.   I also computer generated the sentiment. Papers and elements are from Photo Play.

Today's challenge at Catch the Bug is a bingo challenge.  Here's the bingo card:

I used a die cut, players Choice, and stripes on this card.

I used this week's sketch from Sketch Saturday, modifying it somewhat because I didn't need the space for a sentiment.  Here's that sketch:

Here's the whole set of monsters that will be awarded to winners this week. This is only a part of the prizes awarded.  See all the details at Catch the Bug

Come join in the monster fun at Bugaboo Stamps!

You are Too Tweet! for Tiddly Inks and We Are 3

Tiddly Inks and We Are 3 -- 2 Tweet companies that I'm posting for today.  Bonnie Kohane, the owner of We Are 3 Digital Shop, gave me a gift certificate for Tiddly Inks for Christmas because she knew  I liked to color up cute images, and cute dogs (there are some awesome ones at Tiddly Inks!).  Since one of the new releases this month at We Are 3 Digital Shop is the Vintage Bird paper collection, I thought I would pick a digi stamp to color up that would work well to go with the paper.  This is the image I chose.  Before I even got it colored, Christy announced a design team call at Tiddly Inks, and I just have to give it a try!  When I first started learning how to color with Copic markers quite a few years ago now, Tiddly Inks were some of the first images I learned on.  I've loved Tiddly Inks ever since.

Here's Wryn and Wren Too Tweet:

I colored Wryn and Wren Too Tweet with Copic markers, and used the sentiment that comes with the set.

As I mentioned above, the papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are from one of this month's New Releases, Vintage Bird paper collection.  These are beautiful papers in soft pinks, peaches, browns, and tans, with hints of green.

I constructed the card using a Spellbinders label die set.  The lace was purchased at Hobby Lobby, and the peacock colored crinkle ribbon is from the D.L. Art Etsy Store.  I won it from a challenge at D.L. Art.  Thank you, Diana!!!

I hope you have enjoyed Wryn and Wren.  I certainly enjoyed coloring them up, working with these beautiful papers, and making them into a card!

If you'd like information on the Tiddly Inks design team call, you'll find it in this post.

The 9th birthday party continues at Bugaboo Stamps! Today, a Stella Says Sketch challenge is beginning, and the monster theme continues at Catch the Bug

I'll show you my card first, then the sketch Stella has us using.  The stamp I used is My Lil Monster Cute:

I colored My Lil Monster Cute with Copic markers and found an old paper stack from My Mind's Eye where the paper colors matched the monster. The sentiment is part of the My Lil Monster Cute set

Here's the sketch for today's challenge:

As you can see, I followed that sketch pretty darn closely.  No need to be too creative! I'll leave that up to you!

Winter Hello Card -- for Dies R Us

Winter greetings, fellow crafters!  I'm on the Dies R Us Inspiration blog today with a card featuring one of my favorite birds -- the cardinal.  Seeing them against pristine white snow takes my breath away.  It's one of the things I love about winter!
I have a winter card to share today, with my favorite cardinal featured front and center:

Here's a picture of the supplies I used, and I'll link them at the end of this post:

The cardinal is a die from Frantic Stamper.  I used the smaller one on this card.  Here are all the pieces cut, but not assembled:

Here are the other die cuts, before they are assembled.  Aren't they pretty?

I glued everything together with The Best Glue Ever.  It worked very well for these intricate die cuts!

Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are one of January's new releases.  They are part of the Vintage Bird Paper Collection

Dies R Us products used on this card:

Snow Days are the Best Days -- for Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez

Snow Days!  They are one of my favorite things of winter.  I also love snowmen! I combined 2 of my favorite things on this card featuring snowmen and papers from Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez

This darling image is Snowmen Looking at the Stars digital stamp.

I colored Snowmen Looking at the Stars with Copic markers.  Papers on this card are also from Kinda Cute By Patricia Alvarez. I used papers from 4 different collections -- the Blue Christmas papers (light blue snowflakes) , the Bright Christmas (red with papers (red with white dots), Red & Black Love Collection (red hearts) and the Red and Blue Basics papers (blue paper with white stars).

The sentiment is a New Release this month from We Are 3 Digital Shop. It is part of the Snow Days Sentiment Set

Let Your Light Shine -- for Path of Positivity

Here we go again!  It's a new month, and a new year of challenges at the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog.  This year, in order to qualify for the prizes from our awesome sponsors, you need only hav e project that is inspirational in theme.  How easy is that?

Speaking of sponsors, this month, we are sponsored by Ike's Art and we have a new ongoing sponsor of Scribbles Designs

For today's challenge, I "worked" with an image from Ike's Art called Blossom.  I find pretty flowers very inspirational when it's cold, dark, and dreary in January!

I colored up the Blossoms with Copic markers, then fussy cut them out.  The sentiment is a stamp from Close To My Heart -- inspirational, for sure!  I've been wanting to use that floral border die cut for a long time.  A friend of mine and I exchanged a bunch if die cuts, and this is one she sent me, so I don't know who it's by, but I think it is so pretty!  The rose paper in the background is from AMB Illustrations.  They have an Etsy Shop.

The Path of Positivity Challenges go all month.  It starts today, January 7, and goes until February 3.   Surely, you'll make something inspirational in that amount of time and can link up with us!  I'd love to see what you make!
