Spring Bird -- a New Release at Bugaboo Stamps

It's Tuesday!  Every Tuesday celebrates a new release or a re-release at Bugaboo Stamps.  Today, we're re-releasing a cutie, Spring Bird, Summer Dress:

I colored Spring Bird with Summer Dress with Copic markers, going with bright, springtime colors.

Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are the Rainbow Skies papers.  The sentiment is a stamp from a company no longer in business, My Pink Stamper.  The butterfly is from Crafter's Companion

Today, over at Catch the Bug Blog, you'll see what the other talented Bugaboo designers made with this cute Spring Bird digi.  It will be available for 1/2 price for a week.  Pick it up in the Bugaboo Shop!  Color it up and enter it in our challenges.  You could win more Bugaboo images!

Flower Tree -- for Bugaboo Stamps

It's Saturday, and it's time for a new challenge at Catch The Bug!  Every Saturday, a new one starts. This week, it's a photo challenge. Of course, with Spring having officially begun, it's a springtime photo.  I'll show you my card first, then the photo I used.

I used an image from the Bugaboo Stamps Store that I thought would work well for inking. That way, I felt, I could best use the colors in the photo. This is Flower Tree:

I blended with several shaded of Spectrum Noir Harmony water reactive inks to achieve this look using ink brushes.

Here's the photo for this week's Catch the Bug Challenge:

You  can see why I went with the digi I did.  I thought Flower Tree matched the photo really well.

The DP behind the Flower Tree image is from We Are 3 Digital Shop. It is one of the pretty papers in the Garden Dance papers.  The butterfly embellishment has been in my collection for so long I no longer know where I got it.  It wasn't in any packaging.

The Catch the Bug photo challenge will run for a week.   We always have wonderful prizes you can win, so I hope you join in the fun!

The papers I used on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are the Springtime papers. That cute little die cut watering can is from Crafter's Companion.

He Will Bless Them -- Guest Designing for Word Art Wednesday

I've had the honor of guest designing at Word Art Wednesday this month of March.  It has been my pleasure, and I thank Karen Letchworth and her team for the opportunity.

Today's challenge will run for 2 weeks, and is sponsored by Art Glitter.

I was given the scripture verse Psalm 115:13 to create with for today's challenge.  Here's what I made:

I used designer papers by Crafter's Companion, and dies from Anna Griffin.

Here's a close up of the scripture verse:

I hope you can join in at Word Art Wednesday these next 2 weeks for their challenge. They are always Anything Goes!

Hoppy Easter Card for Dies R Us Inspiration Blog

Today is my last day posting on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog.  I have so enjoyed my time on the team, but my term is up, and it's time for someone else to have a chance at this awesome team. I have really enjoyed it!

Since we're closing in on Easter, I thought I'd showcase an adorable Bunny die today, found in the Dies R Us Store. This is Floral Bunny by Tutti Designs:

I think this floral bunny design is so darn cute!

Here's a photo of all the supplies used on this card:

I started by cutting out the card base.  This is a floral card panel by Spellbinders, but this one by Nellie's Choice would work equally as well. I used a circle die that was just a bit bigger than the Floral Bunny.  This one has been in my stash for many years.  Dies R Us has many circle dies. This set of Never-ending Circle Dies From Kat Scrappiness would work especially well!

Here's a picture of everything once it's all die cut.  I cut a bit off of the circle, just to add a little character.

Once everything was die cut, I assembled it all using ScrapPerfect Best Glue Ever, added gems to both the floral card front and the floral bunny, and finished it all with a yellow ribbon.

I'll leave you with one last view of the Bunny card:

Don't forget to shop both the Dies R Us Store and the Didi Crafts Store for tons of awesome dies and other great products.  Dies R Us now ships to Canada, too! Also, don't forget about the Dies R Us Challenges on the 1st and 15th of each month.  There are great prizes you could win! Check out this blog everyday for great inspiration!

Go Where Your Dreams Take You -- an All Dressed Up Stamps New Release

It's the 22nd of the month, and that means it my chance to showcase one of the new release images from All Dressed Up Stamps.  Each month, there are 4 darling images. They are showcased on the 7th of the month and the 22nd, both on the All Dressed Up blog and in the All Dressed Up Facebook Group.

Today, I am showcasing Koala Hugs:

I colored Koala Hugs with Copic markers.  The koala bears have fallen out of the news since the Corona virus has taken over.  I am hoping with the fires under control, they are able to find some habitat, and start to make a comeback.  This little one is hanging on for dear life!

The papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  Two of the papers (the one on the card base and the trees are from the Trees     Papers. The green paper backing Koala Hugs is one of the Distressed Burlap Papers, and the paper behind the sentiment is one of the Tones of Gray papers.

Koala Hugs-- one of only 4 great New Releases at All Dressed Up Stamps.  Check them all out at All Dressed Up Stamps.  Do a little shopping and enter either the challenge in the Facebook Group or the blog challenge and you could win more ADU images!  Like this great one!

Gnome one loves you like me --the Outlawz Progressive Freebie

I try to participate in the Outlawz Progressive Freebie whenever I can.  I've missed an occasional month due to illness, but I'm pretty consistent and loyal to the challenge.  I generally love the images we get for free to work with.  This month is no exception!

SheepSki Designs provided the image for March, and its the darling.  It's called Giant Mushroom, and here's what I made with it:

I colored Giant Mushroom with Copic markers.  Then, I was off to find papers for this creation.  I found them at We Are 3 Digital Shop, of course.  The cute mushroom print paper, and dotted paper paper are part of the Autumn Woodland Collection.  I computer generated the sentiment.

I used the sketch from the current challenge at The Outlawz Sketch Challenge to jump start my creativity.  Here's the sketch:

Happy St. Patrick's Day to Ewe (late) for Bugaboo Stamps

It's Wednesday, and that means it's time for a little humor over on the Catch the Bug Blog. Yes, it's Humor Me Wednesday, where all kinds of wacky and sometimes wonderful holidays are celebrated!

In honor of the totally fun St. Patrick's Day holiday that I'm guessing many of us celebrated in some capacity yesterday, I have one last Irish card for today.

This uses the Bugaboo Stamps image, St. Patrick's Ewe to create this:

I colored St. Patrick's Ewe with Copic markers.  This Ewe also comes with a sentiment, but with all my wild Irish papers, I thought the card got the point across very well with the sentiment.

The papers are from AMB Illustrations.  I found some very cute St. Patrick's Day papers there.

I hope you check out the Catch the Bug blog to see what the other talented designers created for today's Humor Me Wednesday, then head on over to the Bugaboo Stamps Store and have a look at the wonderful shop! Don't forget about the challenges every Saturday and the sketch challenges every other Sunday.

Lucky You Card -- for Dies R Us Inspiration Blog

I'm posting today on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog.  I always enjoy my chance to get out my large collection of dies and play with them.   Happy St. Patrick's Day!  Since it's the holiday, I thought I'd share a lucky card with you today:

I'll link to the supplies found in the Dies R Us Store at the bottom of the post, but here is a photo of all the supplies used on this card:

I die cut all the pieces, using the Lucky You die several times and cutting the clover off of the words.

Here are all the pieces die cut:
After everything was cut out, and the clovers were separated from the words, I just needed to assemble the card.  I did that with CraftPerfect The Best Glue Ever.  It is great for adhering words and small die cuts to your projects!

Dies R Us Store products used on this Lucky You card:

Here's one more view my Lucky You card, leaving you with a wish for plenty of luck on St. Patrick's Day and all year long!

Don't forget to shop both the Dies R Us Store and the Didi Crafts Store for tons of awesome dies and other great products.  Dies R Us now ships to Canada, too! Count Your Age by Friends Not Years! for JDS Challenges

It's the 3rd Monday of the month, and it's time for a new challenge at Jan's Digistamp Challenges. Starting in April, challenges will be month-long, beginning on the first Monday of the month, and ending the Sunday before the first Monday of the following month. The prize structure will also change. There will be 2 random draws each time:  one for a JDS image, and one for everyone else.  Each winner will be given a $10 gift certificate to the Jan's Digistamp Store.

Today, I colored up an image from one of Jan's newer releases, Birthday Buddies.

This birthday cake and birthday sentiment are both from the Birthday Buddies Set.  The cake comes in a black & white version also, but I wanted to color this one with my Copic markers.  The sentiment is one of several that come in the set.

The designer papers used on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop. They are from  the Party Celebration papers.  The card base is a Sizzix die that I cut out on my Gemini die cutting machine. I also used a couple of Spellbinders dies to cut out the cake and the sentiment. A little Timeless Twine finished off the card.

This challenge will be the last of the challenges that will go for 2 weeks.  Challenges will remain Anything Goes, so please link up at Jan's Digistamp Challenges!

Turtle-ly Lucky -- for Stella Says Sketch

It's time for a new sketch challenge over on Catch the Bug.  Yes, it's Stella Says Sketch time for Bugaboo Stamps!  This happens every other Sunday.  Today's sketch is an awesome one.  You're going to love it!  You're also going to love the free digi I used for this.

First, my card:

I used a free digi found in the Bugaboo Stamps Fan Club Facebook Group.  You'll find it in an album called "March Fan Freebies".  I think it is turtle-y awesome! I love turtles, so this freebie makes me happy.

Here's this week's sketch at Stella Says Sketch:
I followed it fairly closely.  I left out the scallops, and the sentiment.  I thought this card screamed St. Patrick's Day loudly enough without a sentiment.

The turtle digi is colored with Copic markers.  Papers on this card are from AMB Illustrations.  I used a Spellbinders set to cut out the turtle and back it.

Stella Says Sketch challenges run for 2 weeks.  I hope you can join us!  We have great prizes for you to win!  Check out what the other awesome designer did with this sketch here at Catch the Bug Challenges.

At the Outlawz Twisted Thursday, they are having a create your own holiday challenge.  I am declaring today National Hug a Turtle Day in honor of this awesome digi! (great fun challenge!)

You're Pretty Amazing -- for Catch the Bug Challenges

It's Saturday, and that means Bugaboo Stamps is hosting a new challenge over on the Catch the Bug Blog.  Every Saturday, a new challenge begins.  Today's challenge has the theme: "Things with wings": batman, dragonflies, airplanes, angels, the choice is yours, as long as wings can be found on your project.

I'm a fan of flowers, butterflies, inking, and coloring, so when I found a way to combine all those into one project, I was excited!  This is Daisy Butterfly Tag:
I sized the tag how I wanted it, printed it, then started by coloring it with Copic markers.  I inked the tag with 2 shades of Spectrum Noir Harmony water reactive inks using a lighter color in the middle of the tag, and a darker brown around the edge. After that, I cut out the tag. The iris colored tag was die cut using a die from Paper Wishes. The stamp is an acrylic stamp from Spellbinders. The background paper is from AMB Illustrations. The solid color card stock is all from Close To My Heart.  The purple twine is from Timeless Twine.

Things with wings-- an easy theme, and you will find plenty of inspiration today on the Catch the Bug Blog.  You will also find many images that will work for this theme in the Bugaboo Stamps Store -- including this beautiful one! I hope you join in the fun this week!

Wild Monkey - Friday Freebie at Bugaboo Stamps

It's Friday, or in the world of all things Bugaboo, it's Freebie Friday.  Every Friday, Bugaboo Stamps releases a new freebie. You can grab it in the store for a week, when it goes into the shop.  But, then it's Friday again, and there's another Freebie.  It's like magic! Today's Freebie Friday feature is the darling Swinging Monkey:

Swinging Monkey comes with both a pre-colored and a black & white image.  I used the black & white one here and colored Swinging Monkey with Copic markers.  I cut it out so if would fit on the whole card front, and put that on a Kraft base.  The die cut (by Spellbinders) is meant to look like a continuation of the vine that the monkey is swinging from.  I'm not sure if I achieved that or not, LOL.  The words were die cut from another Spellbinders set.  The heart is a sticker.  The itty bitty rhinestones are from my stash.

Swinging Monkey -- pick him up this week in the Bugaboo Stamps Store. Use it to enter it in the Catch the Bug Challenges and you might win more Bugaboo Stamps images!  Check out the Catch the Bug Blog to see what the other talented designers made with this cute Swinging Monkey

Honey Bunny -- for We Are 3 Digital Shop

I love Spring!  I love the return of the birds (I saw my first robin a few days ago), the melting of the snow, the increased daylight, and the beautiful flowers that bloom in the springtime. I also like the new birth that you can see in spring -- from farm animals, to woodland creatures, even little bunnies.  We Are 3 Digital Shop recently had anew release celebrating all things spring, including cute bunnies.  Here is Honey Bunny, also using the newly released Springtime We Are 3 papers:

I colored Honey Bunny with Copic markers, but he (she?) does also  come in a pre-colored version.  After coloring him, I fussy cut him, then attached him to this tag.

I used this week's sketch at Sketch Saturday to jumpstart my creativity.  Here is the sketch:

We Are 3 Digital Shop has many wonderful papers, printables, and digital images in their shop.  Take a look for yourself!  You are sure to find something you love.

Beautiful Butterfly Box -- a Crafter's Companion Creation

I love Crafter's Companion products -- especially their dies, papers, inks, and the new double sided dies, so when I saw they were having a design team call, I just couldn't let it go by without making something for it and trying for the team.  I know there will be TONS of incredible talent, but you never know what they are looking for.  Making they are looking for great colorists (I have good coloring skills), maybe they are looking for people who can devote plenty of time to the Crafter's Companion team (I'm retired. I can do that!), maybe they they are looking for  folks who can use a foil press machine (have one), or maybe they are looking for people, just like me, who love the brand name.  Sara Davies could sell me almost anything.  I love her style and enthusiasm!

For the DT call, I decided to use products from the new Nature's Garden Beautiful Butterfly Collection, and a double sided box.  I can't get enough of the double sided boxes.  They go together so nicely, with very little creasing, gluing or fuss.  And the Nature's Garden Collection is beautiful.  Check it out for yourself:

That big bold butterfly is a 3 layered butterfly called the Statement Butterfly. It is big!  It measures nearly 5 inches across!  I placed it on the Intricate Trellis.  All the papers and dies are from the Nature's Garden Beautiful Butterfly Collection.  Papers are 12x12.

The double sided box that I used is the largest of the 2 rectangle boxes in the set.  I also used the double sided cutting plates that are  needed for these dies and ran them through my Gemini cutting machine. I glued the box together with a Crafter's Companion Extra   Strong Glue Tape Pen.

Here's another look at the  box and the butterfly:

Isn't it a lovely collection?  The gold foil paper is not part of the collection, but it is from Crafter's Companion.  It is Gold Mirri card, and it die cuts wonderfully!

If you haven't shopped for Crafter's Companion products, there is a Crafter's Companion in the US, but also in the UK and Europe. You    can also shop Crafter's Companion on HSN (where I purchased this collection).

Crafter's Companion has various Facebook groups you can share your works in and find tons of inspiration in, including I'm a Crafter's Companion, Crafter's Companion Fan Club, and Fans of Crafter's Companion on HSN. Check them out and join in the fun!

According to His Power! Guest Designing at Word Art Wednesday

I have the honor of guest designing at Word Art Wednesday this month.  I often play in their challenges, and admire the talented work from the design team, so it is a pleasure to be able to play along with them this month!

The challenges run for 2 weeks, and today marks the start of a challenge sponsored by Pink and Main.

A scripture verse from Ephesians 3:20 was given to me to create with.  This is what I made  with it:

I printed the image onto white stamping card, then used Harmony water reactive inks to create the inked background. The corner  die is from Crafter's Companion.  I used some Nuvo Glitter Drops to finish off the card.

The challenges are Word Art Wednesday are always Anything Goes, and they have great sponsors --like Pink & Main -- so I hope you can join in!
