Christmas Mice -- for Di's Digi Stamps

These weeks are flying by!  It's already time for a new challenge at Di's Digi Designs Challenges.  How can 2 weeks go so fast?!?  This time, our theme is 'For a Child'.

I used the sweetest image, Mice Making Snowman, to create my 'For a Child' card:

Isn't that as cute as can be?!?  I colored Mice Making Snowman with Copic markers.

The designer papers on this card are from the We Are 3 Digital Shop.  The houndstooth paper is just released today, and its part of the Houndstooth Holiday Collection. The blue paper is from the Christmas Magic collection.

The Noel stamp, the card base, and the poinsettia embellishment are all from Close To My Heart.

Di Carubia has the absolute cutest images to color up.  Check out her shop to see them all, then join in our 'For a Child' challenge these next 2 weeks at the Di's Digi Designs Challenges

Warm Winter Wishes -- a Bugaboo Stamps New Release

Greetings, fellow crafters!  Here we are, in the last week of November.  Christmas is less than a month away.  Yikes!

It's Tuesday, so that's new release day at Bugaboo Stamps.  Today's new release is Sunbonnet Winter 2, and she's a sweetie!

I colored Sunbonnet Winter 2 with Copic markers.  I spent all Friday afternoon filling markers, and one of them must have been overfilled because it blopped on here.  Can you see where, or did I disguise my error?

I used the sketch from this week at Sketch Saturday.  Here's the sketch:

The designer paper on the front of this card   (pink hearts and pattern) is from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  It's one of November's new releases, Touch of Teal

I cut the snowflake doily out on my Silhouette Cameo 3 with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store.

Stop by the Catch the Bug Blog to see what the other talented designers did with this cute New Release at Bugaboo Stamps.  Then grab her while she's on sale, color her, up and enter her in a challenge.  Next week is the 'Tis the Season of Awkward Holiday Chaos event with lots of fun and tons of prizes, so you won't want to miss that -- all on the Catch the Bug Blog

Cow Pile -- a Friday Freebie at Bugaboo

Friday!  Freebie!  It's time for Freebie Friday at Bugaboo Stamps! Yea! Every Friday, there's another freebie you can grab.  Color it up and enter it in the Catch The Bug Challenges

I live in Wisconsin, the Dairy State, so I'm drawn to cows.  Today's free digi, Cow Pile, is a great one for me.  I can think of lots of farmer friends to send this one to!

I colored Cow Pile with Copic markers, working to shade each cow, distinguishing between the different cows in the pile.  I had a bit of a puzzle sorting out hooves, heads, utters, bodies, but I think I got it!

Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop. These are from the November New Release.  They are the Howdy Paper Collection.

I used several sizes of a Spellbinders label die and a bit of ribbon from my stash on this card.

I hope you take time to check out what the other talented Bugaboo Stamps Design team did with this awesome freebie on the Catch The Bug blog today.  You won't be disappointed!

This card uses Silent Night Wreath.  I printed it on blush colored card stock, and colored it with Lyra Rembrandt colored pencils.

The papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are the Kerst Christmas Paper Collection. The Battenberg Lace along the side was purchased at Hobby Lobby.

Snowman & Owl -- for Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez

Here we are, the day before Thanksgiving (in the USA).  It's a busy day for me, playing piano at the nursing home, playing organ for a Thanksgiving service at church, and making some Thanksgiving foods to take to my mother-in-laws for the feast tomorrow, but there's always time for Warm Hugs!

Today, I'm posting for Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez.  I have a darling digital stamp to share with you called Snowman & Owl

I colored Snowman & Owl with Copic markers. Papers on this card are also by Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez.  They are the Blue Christmas digital papers

The sentiment is an acrylic stamp by Close To My Heart.  The card base was cut out on my Silhouette Cameo 3 with an SVG cutting file from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons.   The oval was cut out with a die from Spellbinders.

Have you visited the Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez Shop?  It is worth the trip to see all the acrylic and digital stamps, digital papers, and Zazzle files.  Also worth a visit are the Kinda Cute by Patricia Blog and the Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez Facebook Group

Warm Wishes -- Outlawz Challenges

Greetings, blog followers.  It's almost Thanksgiving here in the USA, but I'm busy making Christmas cards.  I colored up this cute snow couple yesterday, and I wanted to get them blogged and entered in a couple challenges.

The digi is from Drawn by Krista.  She gave us the freebie for this month's progressive freebie at The Outlawz this month.  Thanks so much, Krista!

I colored the Snowman couple with Copic markers.  I used  a sketch from this week's Outlawz Wednesday Sketch challenge to construct the card.

Here's the sketch:

Papers on this card are from Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez.  They are the Blue Christmas papers.  The ribbon is from my stash.  The sentiment was computer generated.

Twinkle -- for Path of Positivity Challenge Blog

Here we are, edging ever closer to Thanksgiving and Christmas.  It's the 3rd Monday of November already, and it's time for some mid-challenge inspiration at The Path of Positivity Challenge Blog.   We've had optional color themes all year, and this months optional theme is 'green'.  It's easy to use the color green on Christmas cards, and I'm trying to get them all made in the next couple weeks.  Here's another one done!

This uses an adorable digi from this month's sponsor, Scribbles Designs.  It's called Brrrnard's Tree.  Adorable, isn't he?

I colored Brrrnard's Tree with Comic markers.  Papers on this card are from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.  I concentrated on using plenty of green on my card -- green card base, big green tree, green panel behind the image, and the green designer paper.

I hope you can link up your green creations at The Path of Positivity this month.  I'd love to see what you create, and we've got great prizes you can win.

Happy Thanksgiving Table Setting for Dies R Us

I'm posting today on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog, and I've been working on a way to dress up the Thanksgiving table a bit.

I created these with several products in the Dies R Us store.  I'll show pictures and links at the end of this post for your convenience.

Here's all the supplies:

I created the pocket for the silverware and napkin by using an 11 1/2 x 4 inch piece of card stock.  I scored it at 4.5 inches, and glued to that score line.

I used 2 of the middle sized frames (ones that I thought fit on the front of the silverware holder the best) on this project.

I computer generated my sentiment.  Here's how it looked when I cut one out with the label:

I'll end with a close up of one of the place setting holders:

Here's the list of supplies, as promised:

I greatly enjoyed creating these and would like to enter them in the following challenges:

Warm Wishes -- for Sasayaki Glitter Stamps

Greetings, fellow crafters!  Warm wishes are needed here in the Northland, where Winter has arrived very early.  We're having unseasonably cold temperatures, so all the holiday cards I'm making are right on cue!

I'm posting today for Sasayaki Glitter.  The Sasayaki Glitter Challenge Blog is having a reminder post.  The theme this month is 'travel'.  I've traveled all the way to the South Pole, with this adorable penguin, to send you Warm Wishes!

This is Candy Cane Penguin, found in the Sasayaki Glitter Etsy Shop.  I colored Candy Cane Penguin with Copic markers.

The papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  This is the Peppermint Paper Collection.  The sentiment is stamped on the card stock, with an acrylic stamp from Technique Tuesday.

I hope you can travel over to the Sasayaki Glitter Challenge blog and link up your travel-themed card yet this month.  There's still plenty of time, and Naz has some wonderful digis in her Etsy Shop that will fit the theme!

Give Thanks -- for Di's Digi Challenges

Give thanks, my crafting friends!  Autumn is such a great time of year for counting our blessings, and those who stop my my blog to leave comments are big blessings to me!  Thank you!

I'm posting today for Di's Digi Designs and her challenge blog, Di's Digi Challenges.  We're starting a new challenge today, and the theme is super easy -- add a sentiment.  Since we almost always do that anyway, I hope you can join in!

I used the super adorable Pumpkin Wendy to create this easel card:

I colored Pumpkin Wendy with Copic markers.  She's so adorable, pulling that wagon fun of Autumn blessings!

I cut the card base out on my Silhouette Cameo 3, then used Spellbinders dies to create the rest of the card.  The fall floral paper was found in the Silhouette Online Store.  I computer generated the sentiment.

I hope you can take a couple minutes to visit Di's Digis Store.  She has some wonderful new digis there, including some great new Christmas ones. Then, come join the Di's Digi Challenges for our 'Add a Sentiment' challenge -- you might win some of these adorable images for yourself!

Give Thanks! for Aloha Friday Challenges

It's Friday, and it's mid-challenge time over at Aloha Friday challenges.  This time, our theme is a simple, but powerful one -- Thanks!  I like this theme!

I had the pleasure of working with a super cute pre-colored image from one of sponsors, Fred She Said Designs:

This pre-colored digi is called Raking.  Isn't she and her pup the cutest?

I used papers from We Are 3 Digital Shop on this card. There are papers from 2 of the new releases -- A Touch of Teal (the dots paper), Canvas & Watercolor (the burlap background paper), & Pastel Burlap (the card front).  The sentiment was computer generated.

The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and the squirrel has been in my die cutting arsenal for a long time now.  He comes out every Fall!

I hope you are able to join us this week at Aloha Friday Challenges for our Thanks challenge.  I'd love to see what you make, and you could win a prize from our wonderful sponsors!

All Wrapped Up -- for The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up

It's the 15th of the month (already?!?) and it's time for some mid-month inspiration on the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up.  Our optional theme this month is "All Tied Up".  We'd like to see ribbon, twine, bows -- anything you'd use to tie up those Christmas gifts!

One of our generous sponsors at the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up is Limited Runs.  I had so much fun with this Mini Snowman!

I colored the mini snowman with Copic markers -- it didn't take much coloring.  I used a die from Sizzix to cut out the step card, then a Spellbinders die to cut out the snowman and the backing paper.  The designer papers on this card are from one of the other sponsors at The 12 Months of Christmas -- Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.  Lisa makes beautiful papers for us each month.  I love the pink and teal in these snowflake and swirl papers!

The twine on this card is from Timeless Twine.

I hope you find time to link up your Christmas  cards at The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up, with our optional All Tied Up theme!  Christmas is coming ever closer!

Blessed by You -- for DigiStamps4Joy

It's the middle of the month, and team B is leaving some mid-month inspiration on the DigiStamps4Joy challenge blog.  Our optional theme this month is "use a sentiment".   Well, the themes don't get much easier than that! But, you can always enter anything you want!

Since it's near to Thanksgiving here in the USA, I decided to focus on my blessings with todays card.  I used one of the sentiments from the Blessings Sentiment Set (mp298):

I used papers from We Are 3 Digital Shop on this card.  They are one of the new releases this month - A Touch of Teal

I found the sketch that I used at Sketch Saturday, and I really like it!  Here's the sketch:

I hope you find time to join us at DigiStamps4Joy for our optional 'Add a Sentiment' challenge.  You have until the end of the month!

Autumn Jar of Thanks -- a Bugaboo Stamps New Release

It's Tuesday, and Tuesdays are New Release days at Bugaboo Stamps.  Every Tuesday, something to get excited about!  I love that!

Today's new release is so pretty!  I love jam jars filled with flowers, and sunflowers are some fo my favorites, so OH, I had so much fun coloring up this one!!

I colored Autumn Jar with Copic markers, then used a set of Spellbinder dies to cut it out, back it, and make my card base.

The sunflower paper on this card is from We Are 3 Digital Shop. It's part of the Sunflower paper collection.  The crinkle ribbon is from a company that closed their doors several years ago, but I loved their ribbon and stocked up well -- 3 Girl JAM.  I computer generated the sentiment.

I hope you check out what the rest of the talented design team did with this fantastic new release, Autumn Jar. You'll find more inspiration on the Catch the Bug blog

Thankful, Grateful, Blessed -- for Dies R Us

It's Sunday, and I'm posting today on the Dies R Us blog.  Its Veterans Day today, and I'd like to thank those of you who have served our country.  We owe you a huge debt of gratitude.  I am grateful for each of you!

I love the colors of Fall, and they often work their way into my crafting projects.  Today, I have a card I'm giving away for Thanksgiving, and it's loaded with Autumn elements and colors:

Let me show you the supplies I used, then I'll list them at the end of this post:

I cut out both sizes of the Square Tangled Frames by Frantic Stamper.  I used one to frame my sentiment and one to frame my Autumn elements.  Then, I chose some earth tone colored card stock, and cut out a bunch of leaves from the Yvonne Creations Fabulous Fall Collection - Autumn Leaves.  Here's everything cut out and ready to assemble:

I love all the detail in the Autumn Leaves cutting dies.  They're beautiful when they're cut out!

Here's a close up so you can see them better:

Here's a list of the supplies, as promised!

The stamped sentiment and background papers are from Close To My Heart.  The crinkle ribbon is from a company no longer in business -- 3 Girl JAM.  Gosh, I miss them!

Mistletoe Panda -- for Kitty Bee Designs

Hello, fellow stamp lovers!  I'm posting today on the Kitty Bee Designs blog.  It's my day for the monthly designer spotlight.   Since I'm in Christmas card mode big time these days, I decided to feature a Kitty Bee Designs Christmas Panda.

This is Mistletoe Present Panda:

I colored up Mistletoe Present Panda with Copic markers.  It never takes much coloring to make these images look great.  It's part of their charm! Without too much work, I have another Christmas card, ready to add to the stash.

Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are one of this month's new releases, A Touch of Teal

The sentiment is a free stamp I got in a magazine subscription.  The twine is Timeless Twine. I used 2 Spellbinders dies to cut out the Mistletoe Present Panda and to back it.

I hope you check back often to the blog to see what the other talented designers have made.  Don't forget about the Aloha Friday Challenges!  Every 2 weeks (on Friday, as you may have guessed), we start a new challenge, with wonderful sponsors and great prizes that you can win.

Christmas Snowman -- for Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez

Here we are, a week into November, and I'm busy making Christmas cards.  The season will soon be upon us!  I'm posting today for Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez.  She has the cutest images!  They are generally simple in nature, so easy to color up without taking too much time.  That is just my style!

The card I'm showcasing today uses the digital stamp, Snowman and Marshmallow:

I colored Snowman and Marshmallow with Copic markers, then used papers from Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez to construct the card.  These are the Blue Christmas digital papers.

I used  a sketch from The Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge (it was last week's sketch) to jump start my creativity on this card.  The sentiment was an acrylic stamp from Technique Tuesday that I stamped on to the card stock.

Pumpkin Crow Loves Fall -- a New Release at Bugaboo

It's Tuesday, and that means it's New Release Day!  Every Tuesday.  New Releases!  It doesn't get much better than that when you're a stamp collector like I am!  I just wish I could color as fast as I can collect them!

Today's new release, Pumpkin Crow, is a wonder.  Not only is it adorable, but it colors up super fast, and looks good in a variety of mediums:

I colored Pumpkin Crow with Copic markers, but I also think it would look great with colored pencils or crayons, or anything else you decide to use!

I used a sketch from this week's Wednesday Sketch challenge at The Outlawz for this card.  Here's the sketch:

Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  The orange dot paper is from the Pumpkin Delight paper collection.  The green vine paper is from the Thankful paper collection. The sentiment, also from We Are 3, is part of the Itty Bitty Fall collection

The die cut leaves are from Yvonne Creations, and can be purchased at Dies R Us. The oval shapes were cut out with Spellbinders dies.

I hope you check out what the rest of the Bugaboo Stamps design team made with this Pumpkin Crow new release on the Catch the Bug blog.  You won't be disappointed!

Peace Poinsettia -- for Path of Positivity Challenge Blog

It's the first Monday of the month, and that means it's time for a new challenge at The Path of Positivity Challenge Blog.  We've been having color themes all year, and this month's optional theme is the color green.

I worked with a beautiful image from one of our sponsors, Ike's Art, to create this (primarily) greened themed card for the challenge:

This is Xmas Poinsettia, colored with Copic markers, then cut out with a tag die from Close To My Heart.  I used the same die and cut it out again and offset it with the red paper for contrast.

All designer papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop. This is the Holly Berries paper collection.  I stamped the sentiment directly on to the tag, with an acrylic stamp from Close To My Heart.  The checked ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I hope you can join us this month at The Path of Positivity Challenge Blog.  You may enter any positive themed project, or go with the optional green theme to be eligible for the prizes from our wonderful sponsors!

Enjoy the Ride -- for Sasayaki Glitter Stamps

It's a new month, so there's a new challenge at Sasayaki Glitter Challenge Blog.  This month, the theme is 'Travel'.  Naz has some wonderful digis in her Etsy shop, and many of them would fit the transportation theme.

I used the adorable Mouse on Bike to create this:

I colored Mouse on Bike with Copic markers.  I saved the tires for last, and was on the second tire when, "blop", my Copic marker dripped.  I was able to hide the mistake with my sentiment.  Phew!  That was close!

I used a past sketch from Sketch Saturday on this card.

Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop. There are 2 collections represented here, both from the November New Release.  There's a Touch of Teal (polka dot paper) and  Watercolor Canvas (circle and teal strip behind image).

The bicycle paperclip is from a card kit I purchased long ago from Simon Says Stamp.  It took me about as long to find it as it did to create the card.  But I knew I had it somewhere!

I hope you can join us this month at Sasayaki Glitter Challenge Blog for our travel themed challenge.  I'd love to see your creations!

Oh Deer! for Catch the Bug Challenges

Oh deer, it's starting to feel like winter is here!  The weather where I live is beginning to have a definite nip to the air!  It's also getting very close to deer hunting season (poor things!!)   Those two factors were the inspiration behind today's card for the Anything Goes themed challenge at Catch the Bug Challenge:

This adorable Deer digi is only $1.00 in the Bugaboo Stamps store!  I have colored it up several times, and I love the simplicity of it.  I think it's so cute!

I colored the Deer with Copic markers, then fussy cut it. I used a sketch from Sketch Saturday to design the card.  Here's the sketch:

Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are one of the new November releases, the Howdy Paper collection.

The sentiment is computer generated, and a tiny bow of Timeless Twine finishes off the card.

The Catch the Bug Challenge lasts for a week, and with it being Anything Goes this week, I hope you join in the fun!  I'd love to see your creation, and we've got great prizes you can win -- like this fun digi!

I love to color up Di's Digis, and I had a great time with Harvest Hedgehogs.  Here's what I created:

I colored Harvest Hedgehogs with Copic markers.  I used a set of Spellbinders dies to cut out the Harvest Hedgehogs image, then to back them.  I found some fall colored papers in my stash and used them to build my card.  The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The button is from my stash.
