Happy New Year! 2020 has arrived, and we're off and running! We're also off to a new start on the SheepSki Designs Challenge Blog, where our theme this month is "square cards". There, that's an easy one for you! Images don't have to be by SheepSki Designs, but Andrea has so many wonderful ones, that of course we like to see you using them. There is also a challenge in the SheepSki Designs Facebook Group you can enter. SheepSki Designs images are required there, but the themes are optional.
For my "square card" DT inspiration, I used the adorable Penguin Pals image to create this:
I colored Penguin Pals with Copic markers, then used a set of Spellbinders dies to make sure the image and the backing were square.
The polar bear and penguin papers are from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. She has her annual 12 Days of Christmas going on now, where you can get a different paper that she has designed every day for 12 days. They are all really cute!
The sentiment is from a really old acrylic set I have from a company that is no longer in business. The rhinestones are from my stash. I added some icicle Stickles to the penguin's hat and earmuffs to create a bit of sparkle.
And that's it for my square card. I so hope you join us this month at SheepSki Designs Challenge Blog. You have until January 31 to link up!
I have this blog as a place to share my creative self -- be it card making, music playing, scrapbooking, altered art, home decor, or whatever direction my art takes me. My dogs are always a part of my home life, so they have to be a part of my blog, too.

Friendship Warms the Heart -- for All Dressed Up Stamps!
2020! What better way to start out the year than with a new challenge in the All Dressed Up Facebook Group, and what better theme to get the year going than "Make it Girly". It is the perfect All Dressed Up Stamps theme, as son many of Wendy's wonderful images are as girly as it gets. Check out the All Dressed Up Stamps Etsy Shop and you'll see what I mean!
We're had a very snowy season so far where I live so I was in the mood to color up this adorable Sledging All the Way digital image:
I colored Sledging All the Way with Copic markers, then added some icicle Stickles to the earmuffs, pompoms, and snowflakes. To make sure she was extra girly, I added the lace and ribbon to the card.
The designer papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop. I used 3 of the papers from the Christmas Magic paper collection. The sentiment is a retired acrylic stamp from Close To My Heart. The snowflake dies are from Crafter's Companion.
Start 2020 out right and join us at the All Dressed Up Facebook Group for the 'Make it Girly' Challenge! How fun is That!

Happy Ho Ho Holidays -- Raise the Hoof at Scribbles Designs
The The Scribbles Designs Challenge Blog is having a 12 day Raise The Hoof Christmas event. Each day, there is a task to complete to be eligible for prizes. They all have something to do with Santa's under appreciated helpers -- the reindeer! By the end of the 12 days, each reindeer, Santa, and the sleigh will all be featured, and you'll have a chance to win one, or maybe even all of them!
Today is the final day of the event, featuring Santa in all his glory. Here he is:
That is one jolly Santa, isn't it? I colored Santa with Copic markers, using some icicle Stickles glitter glue on the white trim to add sparkle. The sentiment is computer generated.
Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop. The houndstooth is a new release this month. It's part of the Houndstooth Neutral Collection. The red snowflake paper is from the Winter Sunshine paper collection.
If you haven't checked out all 12 Days over at the Scribbles Designs blog, it's definitely worth your while to do so. You've got a great chance to win wonderful prizes! Get going!

Skiing Over the River and Through the Woods --- for QKR Stampede
Is it really Black Friday? Did you make it over the river and through the woods to Grandmother's house yesterday? I worked all day, so I only made it as far as the nursing home parking lot, lol! Tomorrow, though, some celebrating will go on with the family.
There's a new challenge going on, starting today, at the QKR Stampede Challenge blog. This week's challenge will be Anything Goes. Yea!!!!
My brother loves to ski. He's been on the ski patrol at his local ski hill for over 30 years now, and he's taught and coached countless young people how to downhill ski. This card is in his honor and will end up in his mailbox by Christmastime:
Santa on Skis (ES-digi6607) was colored with Copic markers, and icicle Stickles were added to his trim. He's swooshing down that hill with impeccable form! The Merry Christmas sentiment (Q-digi13806) placed just below the skis to make him go even faster -- kind of like wax!
The card base is an SVG cutting file from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons. Papers used on this card are from Close To My Heart. The snowflakes are cutting dies by Lawn Fawn.
I hope you can join us this week at QKR Stampede for our Anything Goes challenge. We've got great prizes, and I'd love to see what you make!

Fa la la la la! a recap for Great Impressions Stamps
Hello, and happy Friday, everyone! I'm posting today for Great Impressions Stamps, and I'm re-posting one of my favorite cards from a few months ago.
Since Christmas is looming ever closer, and we cardmakers are feeling the need to "get those cards made", I thought I'd showcase this card...
This card features E815 Singing Birds and D472 Fa la la la la.
I colored E815 Singing Birds with Copic markers. I added a bit of Icicle Stickles glitter glue to their hats for some added sparkle.
Papers on this card are from Close To My Heart. Dies are from Craftin' Desert Divas and Lawn Fawn.
Check out all the wonderful Christmas stamps in the Great Impressions Store. You won't be disappointed!

Putting Up the Tree -- for The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up
It's the middle of the month, and time for some mid-month inspiration at the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up. One of our wonderful sponsors this month is Robyn's Fetish. This adorable image is from her:
I colored "Putting Up the Tree" with Copic markers, then added some Icicle Stickles to the snowy branches on the tree. I used a cutting die set from Craftin' Desert Divas on this card. The tree paper in the corner, and Santa and his sleigh are both designed by Lisa Decosse, of Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.

Our theme this month at the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up is "it's ornamental". Use an ornament somewhere on your project to qualify for the prize from our sponsor, Robyn's Fetish. Link up any two Christmas cards this month to qualify for the Christmas papers from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. Come join the fun!

Joy to the World
Yea! Another Christmas card done! This one uses the free digi image provided this month from DigiStamps4Joy. Since I used this month's freebie, I will get next month's free also. Score!
I usually stick with traditional Christmas images, so this was a bit of a stretch for me. I also forget to use embossing folders, so I broke out this pretty snowflake design for the background by Darice.. I used a Spellbinder ornament die and a Spellbinder tag die, some Timeless Twine in Cherry Red, and some Icicle Stickles. She is colored with Copic markers, and the edges are inked with Tim Holtz distress ink in Spun Sugar because it sounds like a Christmas color! The sentiment is a Close To My Heart retired stamp.

I wish you Joy! for Pinque Peacock and Friends With Flair
Happy Friday, crafty friends! Things are winding down a bit at work. One more Christmas party today and then I can really catch my breath. Then, I can start practicing for all the Christmas services at church. Uff da. This season is tiring!
I'm posting today on the Pinque Peacock blog. I've been wanting to use this gorgeous beaded pearl stick pin for quite some time. So, I designed a card around it. That was a new approach for me!
When in doubt, reach for a Phyllis Harris stamp. I looked through my collection of Unity/Phyllis Harris stamps and decided on "Christmas Surprise" -- tell me what you think...
Isn't that the cutest image? I colored it with Copic markers, did a little paper piecing and fussy cutting on the bow, used some Icicle Stickles on the little girl's hat, matted both the image and the sentiment on DP's, made a pretty bow with 3 Girl JAM London Blue ribbon from the Wine & Jewels Bundle, and added that Bea-u-ti-ful beaded stick pin. Ahhh!
I have nothing else to say about such perfection. That pin is perfect!
I'll leave you with the sentiment from the card, because it's my Christmas wish to all of you:
"May your season be filled with happiness and joy."
