Welcome, Little One -- a Bugaboo Stamps New Release

It's Tuesday, and that's New Release day at Bugaboo Stamps.  Every single Tuesday, there is a new release.  The new releases are 1/2 price for a week, so grab them while the getting's good!

Today's new release is perfect for baby cards, tags, and gifts.  It's called BOO Teddy Bear:

I colored BOO Teddy Bear with Copic markers.  I got out the front step card with a die from Sizzix.  The papers on the card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop. They are the Dotted Swiss papers. I computer generated the sentiment, then added some Timeless Twine to finish off the card.

Need an easy to color image for a quick baby card?  Look no further than Boo Teddy Bear! You can see what the other talented designers made with it at Catch the Bug Blog

An Apple a Day -- for We Are 3 Digital Shop

Hello, and happy Sunday!  Is it Spring where you live? We have barely made it into the 50's, with only 2 days all spring hitting the 60's, so spring is very slow in arriving here in the Northwoods.  But, at least the ice is off the lakes and the snow is almost all melted, except for the very large snowbanks.  Soon, we will be complaining about the mosquitoes and the humidity!

I have a card today that features We Are 3 Digital Shop products. Bonnie got a little snarky on this sentiment, and it really makes me laugh!

I find this to be very good advice with our current social distancing guidelines.  It just might keep us all safe if we heed it!

This card uses papers and the sentiment, all by We Are 3 Digital Shop.  It also uses the present sketch at the Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge.  It's a great sketch! The papers on this card are from the Apple Delights Collection and the Dotted Swiss Collection.  These 2 collections work together very nicely! The sentiment is from the Encouraging Words Sentiment set. There are 4 very nice sentiments in this set.

Here's the sketch I used from the Outlawz Wednesday Sketch challenge:

As you can see, I followed it pretty darn close.

The dies I used on this card are all from Crafter's Companion. The ribbon is from a package I recently received from a friend.

I hope you check out the We Are 3 Digital Shop to see all that there is to offer.  You'll find digital papers in many themes and colors, printables, digital images, and many great sentiments!  It's worth spending some free time browsing there.

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Best Wishes -- For Jan's Digi Stamps Challenges

Jan's Digi Stamps Challenges are now month-long challenges, so I'm posting today just to remind my blog readers of this change, and to get another fantastic new release image out on social media. I created today using the  beautiful set called Pansies for Mom.

This set is perfect for Mother's Day, but also many other occasions. I used a pre-colored image here, and inked around the edge of the die cut to bring it to life a bit more.  The Best Wishes sentiment comes with the set, but there are several others, including a Mother's Day sentiment.  There are also several more pre-colored individual pansies.

The die cut edger is from Crafter's Companion, as is the designer paper.  I used a Spellbinders stitched oval die to cut out the Pansies for Mom image and sentiment.  The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

You still have a few more days to join in on the Anything Goes Challenge at Jan's Digi Stamp Challenges.  I'd love to have you join  us! There is a random gift certificate for $10, and a gift certificate for someone using a JDS image

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

It's Friday!  My favorite day of the week!  It's the  day that Bugaboo Stamps offers a freebie for all the many Bugaboo fans.  Yes, it's Freebie Friday!

Today's freebie is good for spring, get well, birthdays, encouragement, just about anything you'd like to use it for! Here's Dollar Flower Bug

I colored Dollar Flower Bug with Faber Castell color pencils on Kraft.  I really like to effect.  Then, I found some wild papers in the We Are 3 Digital Shop that I thought looked good with the Dollar Flower Bug image. They are the newly released Orange Lemonade papers. Aren't they cheerful!  The sentiment is also from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  It is one of the Encouraging Words sentiments

I used a sketch from Sketch Saturday for this card.  It was from about a month ago. The banner die is from Tonic Studios.

There are many great examples of how to use this free image over on the Catch the Bug Blog today.  Check it out! Then, grab the freebie in the Bugaboo Stamps store, color it up, and enter it in some of  the Catch the Bug Challenges.  I'd love to see your creations, and you very well may win more awesome Bugaboo images.  How great is that?

Hang in There -- an All Dressed Up Stamps New Release

It's the 22nd of the month, and this is one of the days each month that All Dressed Up Stamps features the new releases for the month.  As usual, there are 4 new releases.  You can find them, along with many wonderful images, in the All Dressed Up Stamps Etsy Shop.

Today, I colored Hang in There.  Since rainbows are so popular right now, I incorporated a rainbow into my card:

I colored Hang in There with Copic markers, then used a cross stitched rectangle die to cut it out.  The rest of the dies are all from a set by Crafter's Companion.  I'm enjoying all the rainbows I'm seeing these days, and thought it was a fitting symbol on this card, too.

You can see all the All Dressed Up Stamps new releases by checking out the All Dressed Up Stamps blog, and the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook Group.  You won't be disappointed!

It's quick to color, and quick to make into a card.  I was easily able to color Flower Trio with Spectrum Noir and Copic markers.  Then, I used a Crafter's Companion die and matching stamp set for the sentiment and sentiment stamp.  And, just that simple, my card was done!

Spring Crocus Friendship Card -- for We Are 3 Digital Shop

I love crocus, and they are just starting to poke up their pretty spring heads where I live.  I plant them every fall, and the squirrels and chipmunks follow right behind and feast on the bulbs.  But, a few survive and greet me with a springtime treat!  In honor of spring, and wonderful friends who brought us Easter dinner last week, I made this spring crocus card using the beautiful Margaret's Irises papers from We Are 3 Digital Shop:

Isn't that pretty as a picture?  Just like this beautiful crocus flowers?

The crocus is a double sided die from Crafter's Companion.  They have quite a few of these, and they are a lot of fun.  They cut out very quickly because you can cut multiple layers with one pass.  The banner die is also from Crafter's Companion.  The computer generated sentiment fit on it perfectly.

We Are 3 Digital Shop has gorgeous papers (like this one), but also printables, digital images, and sentiments.  You can truly find whatever you are looking for at the We Are 3 Digital Shop

Ladybug Thank You -- For Bugaboo Stamps

It's challenge time at Catch the Bug Challenges, using Bugaboo Stamps!  Today begins a week-long bingo challenge.  It's an easy bingo card for you to follow along with.

First, my card, then, I'll show you the bingo card:

I used the very versatile image, Thank You Flower, to create my card:

I love the look of colored pencils on Kraft, so I thought I would do that on this challenge.  The Thank You Flower is a very easy color. I used Faber Castell pencils to get this look.

Here's the bingo card:
I went diagonally (stitching, Bugaboo image, flower) or straight across the bottom (stitching, twine, sentiment).

Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  I used a paper from both the Ladybug Lace and the Ladybug Lace Too collections.  The "stitching" was accomplished by using a Spellbinders die. I added the twine using some I purchased through Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I hope you can join us this week for our bingo challenge at Catch the Bug!  I'd love to see your creations, and there are wonderful prizes up for grabs!

You're the Cat's Meow!

I try to participate in the Outlawz Progressive Freebie Challenge each month.  I've broken my streak a month of two due to illness, but overall, I keep the streak going.  This month's image is provided to us by Star Stampz.  It's called Red String.  I'm not a cat lover.  Think "dog" and you have me figured out!  My mother-in-law, though, is living with 2 of them, and she's recovering from a major surgery, so I'm trying to send her cards every few days.  This is another one heading her way:

I colored the Red String digital image with Copic markers.   I used a card base from Sizzix that cuts out the front stepper design.  The papers are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are the Dotted Swiss papers.  I computer generated the sentiment, and added a bit of twine from Timeless Twine to finish off the card.

Dahlia Celebration -- for Dies R Us Challenge Blog

It's April 15.  Do you have your taxes done?  It was challenging for us this year, but it is accomplished.  It's April 15, which also means it's time for a new challenge at Dies R Us Challenge Blog. Challenges are every 1st and 15th of the month, and you must use at least 1 die that Dies R Us sells, plus follow the challenge theme.  Today's theme is "Spring Flowers".

Flowers are one of my favorite things of spring (that, and warmer temperatures), so I really liked this theme!

Birch Press Designs are some of my favorite dies, so I jumped at the chance to use one for today's challenge:

This card uses the Dahlia Mini Frame is layers A, B, and C.  I cut the Birch Press Designs Dahlia Mini Frame 4 times -- once to get the yellow center, then once for each layer.  The Celebrate word die is from Crafter's Companion. The butterfly is by Cheery Lynn.  It is one of a set of 3 and comes with an angel wing (used here).

Dies R Us supplies used on this card:

I hope you join us this next 2 weeks for our Spring Flowers Challenge.  You could be the winner of the $10 gift certificate, or a top 3 award.
We have some exciting news to share with you.  .Dies R Us now has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

Bold Butterfly Card -- for We Are 3 Digital Shop

Hello, and Happy Easter!  This is going to be the quietest Easter I can ever remember, but since Easter should be about what's in our hearts, not the hustle and bustle of church, family, and gatherings anyway, maybe the extra time for reflection on this holiday season is actually good for us.

Bonnie, the owner of We Are 3 Digital Shop recently released a beautiful sets of papers in honor of one of our design team member's birthdays.  Margaret is celebrating her birthday this month, and she loves iris, so there is a wonderful new set in the We Are 3 Digital Shop in her honor. The set is called Margaret's Irises. Here's a cared I created using papers from Margaret's Irises:

It is hard to see because of all the layers, but I used 5 different papers form the Margaret's Irises Paper collection on this card.

There are 2 doily type dies on this card.  They are both from Crafter's Companion.  That big, bold, layered butterfly is fast becoming a favorite die of mine.  It is also from Crafter's Companion.

My Mother-in-law had a kidney and ureters removed because of a malignant tumor this week.  I made this card for her. It will be a Get well/Easter/Happy spring card.

Be a Rainbow on a Cloudy Day -- for We Are 3 Digital Shop

Rainbows -- they are turning up everywhere these days.  I started hearing about them from my friends in England, but I believe they are catching on everywhere.   I found this delightful rainbow die in my stash, and We Are 3 Digital Shop has some wonderful Rainbow themed sentiments, so I thought it was time to join in with the rainbow parade and make a card:

This card uses a couple different sets of dies.  The rainbow and clouds are a die set from Crafter's Companion.  The umbrella is a die from Spellbinders.

The papers and sentiment on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop. The sentiment is one of the Rainbow Wishes Sentiments. The papers are from the Rainy Days Papers.

National Draw a Bird Day -- for Bugaboo Stamps

It's Wednesday, and that means it's Humor me Wednesday on the Catch the Bug Blog.  Holidays, both important and obscure are celebrated this day.  I'm sure draw a bird day is important to someone, but this is a new day to party for me!

Jodie has many wonderful bird images in her Bugaboo Stamps Store.  I chose this amazing Hummingbird image because of it's simplistic line drawn appearance. I think it definitely qualifies for Draw a Bird Day, don't you?

I printed the hummingbird image onto silver paper from Crafter's Companion, then used a heart die from Spellbinders to cut it out.  The designer papers are also from Crafter's Companion. The sentiment is an acrylic stamp from My Pink Stamper that has been in my collection for many years.  I kept the card simple to emphasize that beautiful Hummingbird digi

Found One! An Easter New Release for Bugaboo Stamps

We are getting so close to Easter!  I am terribly out of sync with this whole "safer at home" order my state is under.  Not going to church on Palm Sunday really threw me off kilter!  Having a Quiet Easter week, instead of preparing lots of services and being on the organ bench all week long seems even stranger.  We will remember the Easter of 2020, I think.

But, I'm getting off track!  It's Tuesday, and that means it's New Release day at Bugaboo Stamps.  Today's new release is just in time for Easter.  I knew I got on the subject for a reason! The new digi, available for 1/2 price for a week, is called Easter Bunny I found one!

I colored Easter Bunny I Found One with Copic markers.   I used a sketch from the current sketch challenge at the Outlawz Wednesday Sketch challenge to jump start my creativity.  Here's the sketch:
As you can see, I followed the sketch pretty closely.

The papers that I used on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop. They are part of the newly released Orange Lemonade papers.  I love how bright and cheerful they are!

I hope you check out what the other talented Catch the Bug designers did with today's new release, Easter Bunny I found One. Snap this cutie up for 1/2 price and enter our Anything Goes challenge this week.  I'd love to see what you make!

To Cheer You -- for JDS Challenges

It's Monday, and starting today, Jan's Digistamp Challenges are going to once a month.  They are still Anything Goes, with you being to enter absolutely whatever you are working on - from crocheting, to gardening, to coloring, to cardmaking projects. Jan's Digi Stamp images are great to see, but not required.  We will start rewarding 2 gift certificates per challenge -- one random project, and one for a JDS image.  There will still be designer choice projects, too.  From now on, the challenge will begin on the first Monday of the month, and will end on the Sunday before the first Monday.

I don't know why, but I love to color rusty things, so when I saw this collection called Rustic Flowers in Jan's Shop, I knew I had to have it!

Using one of the black & white images and one of the sentiments in the set, I created this:

I colored the image from Rustic Flowers with Copic markers, then used 2 sizes of Spellbinders dies to cut it out and back it. The designer papers on this card are from Crafter's Companion.  The card is 5x7.  The blue ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I hope you can join us this month at JDS Challenge Blog.  It is easy to link up whatever you are working on.  I'd love to see your creations!

Today's freebie is Ladybug Bunny.  It is adorable, and perfect for spring or Easter -- or both!

I had so much fun coloring this great Ladybug Bunny! I used Copic markers on this, then used 2 Spellbinders dies to cut it out and back it. The designer papers are from We Are 3 Digital Shop. They are both from the Ladybug Lace Too Collection. The glimmer trim is from Close To My Heart.

A Happy Hello -- For SheepSki Designs Challenge Blog

It's April 1st, and it's time for a new challenge at SheepSki Designs Challenge Blog.  Challenges start at the beginning of the month, and run the whole month through. This month, the theme is, "Show us Your Wings".

I've been wanting to color up the darling Flump n Tic image, found in the SheepSki Designs Etsy Shop

Here's what I created:

I colored Flump n Tic with Copic markers.  I made that bird extra bright so it would show up for the wings theme of this challenge, then I added a butterfly for good measure!

The elephant papers were found at AMB Illustrations.  I cut the center step card out on my Silhouette Cameo from a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store. I computer generated the sentiment.

I hope you can join us this month for the SheepSki Designs Show us Your Wings Challenge.  I'd love to see your creations!

The Earth Giggles in Flowers -- for All Dressed Up Stamps

April 1, the start of a new month, and the start of a new challenge in the All Dressed Up Facebook Group!  You'll find an album there with this month's theme of "Die Cuts &/or Punches".  I hardly ever use punches anymore, in fact I've gotten rid of most of them that I used to have, but dies!  I have hundreds of them and use them on almost every card I make, so this was easy for me!

I fell in love with this new image in the All Dressed Up Stamps Etsy Shop called Spring Has Sprung.  She is perfect for this time of year!

Spring Has Sprung was an absolute joy to color with the freckles on her nose and the big bow in her hair.  And, those boots!  I can't forget those boots!  I colored Spring Has Sprung with Copic markers, then used dies to cut her out and back her (by Avery Elle), use a die to cut out the bird, and a die to cut out the watering can (both by Crafter's Companion).

The watercolor looking paper on this card is from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  It is one of the papers in the Watercolor Delight collection. The banner is a printable from We Are 3, found here, and the sentiment, also from We Are 3 Digital Shop, is from the Spring Sentiments collection.

There are 2 challenges each month for All Dressed Up Stamps fans.  There's the Facebook challenge and the blog challenge.  Join in either or both.  I'd love to see your creations!

It's Your Day - Everyday Purse --for Dies R Us Challenge Blog

I'm so pleased to be sharing that starting today, I am on the Dies R Us Challenge Blog team! My time on the DRU Inspiration team had come to an end, so I'm very happy to have been given a spot on the Dies R Us Challenge team. Challenges are on the 1st and 15th of every month, and they have themes.  You must use at least one metal die from a brand that Dies R Us sells in the Dies R Us Store. A $10 Gift voucher is given away each challenge, and top 3 are awarded.

The challenge that starts today, and runs for the next 2 weeks has the theme of "Anything Goes" (remember to use as least 1 die from a brand that Dies R Us sells).

I recently purchased this Concord & 9th Everyday Purse Die Set, and I am having sooooo much fun with it!  This is what I created for one of my best friends birthdays:

Isn't it darling?  I used designer papers from Crafter's Companion, and some leather looking papers from Tonic Studios.  The Silver Glimmer paper is also from Tonic Studios. The Concord & 9th Everyday Purse set has various options for clasps, tags, and closures.  The possibilities are really endless.

Here's a picture with a gift card in it to give you a better idea of the size of the Concord & 9th Everyday Purse Die Set.

Supplies from the Dies R Us Store used on this project:
