Back to School -- for Lacy Sunshine

I'm very excited to announce that I'm on the Lacy Sunshine Challenge blog team!  Today is my first post.  I love Lacy Sunshine images, so this will be a super adventure for me!

The theme this fortnight is "Back to School".  In the small town where I live, the kids start back Sept. 1, so we are right on schedule with this challenge!

This Lacy Sunshine image is Zoe Back to School.  I colored her with Copic markers.  She is ready for whatever her teachers throw her way!

I used Sangria papers from Close To My Heart to make the bookmark, and dies from Paper Wishes and Craftin' Desert Divas.  The enamel dots are from My Mind's Eye.  The fibers are CTMH.  The sentiment is a stamp of the week from Unity Stamp Company. Feathers are from my stash.

Please join us the next 2 weeks for our 'Back to School' challenge at Lacy Sunshine Challenges.  I'd love to see what you make!

I Like U -- for The East Wind

It's Friday, and New Release Day at The East Wind.  LOVE my Fridays! Today's new release features the character, Lucy Loo.  She always has attitude, and today is no exception.  Here is Lucy Loo 'Hair'.  Oh yeah!

I colored Lucy Loo 'Hair' with Copic markers.  She's so sassy, it just had to have some wild highlights in it.

I cut the card out on my Cricut Explore.  The sentiment, card stock, and glimmer trim are from Close To My Heart.  I stamped the sentiment on a piece of Polkadoodles digi paper, and cut it out with a die cut tag from Paper Wishes.  The twine is from Timeless Twine. The Snow Palace Sequins are from Craftin' Desert Divas.

Check out the East Wind Facebook Group for some other great examples using this digi stamp.  Or, just buy it yourself in the East Wind Etsy Shop.  It's so fun!

Birthday Wishes

I have the good fortune of posting today for 3 Girl JAM.  It's always great fun to make something where I can showcase my favorite ribbons, lace, or jute products.  Today, it's all about crinkle ribbon.

I've been participating in The Outlawz Progressive Challenge each month this year.  I used the delightful free image sent me for today's card. This image is by Make It Crafty. If you haven't discovered Make It Crafty yet, you should.  I LOVE their images and tutorials.  Great stuff!

She's called "Wishful Asha," and I colored her with Copic markers. The card and sentiment tag were cut out on my Cricut Explore, using papers from Close To My Heart.  I wanted the image to really pop.  That's where the 3 Girl JAM ribbon came into play.  I used the blue from the Red, White, and Blue Bundle and, with 2-sided tape behind my image, pleated the ribbon all the way around the square to frame  it.  Last, but not least, there are 3 enamel dots from my stash.

There will be a new challenge starting Saturday on the 3 Girl JAM Challenge blog.  Stop by to check it out.

Do you want to buy some fantastic ribbon for yourself?  Use discount code JO10 at checkout for 10% off your entire order. Use code AUGUST to get the Caribbean Splash bundle for $1 with any purchase for a few more days. There will be a new special of the month starting September 1.  Check the 3 Girl JAM blog for details!  Whoop!

I'd like to enter this in the following Challenges:

So Very Blessed -- for Snapdragon Snippets

Crafty greeting, friends!  I am posting today for Snapdragon Snippets.  I recently had lunch with 2 of my best friends, and made a couple of these gift bags for a "little something" to share with them.

This heart window tall tote, found in the Silhouette Design Store, and in the Snapdragon Snippets Store is the perfect size for a few goodies.  I filled this one with chocolates - and love.

Papers for this bag are from My Mind's Eye - the Nostalgia Collection. The sentiment is a Close To My Heart stamp. The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

A reminder that I have an SVG Attic gift certificate I am giving away.  Leave a comment on this post for a chance to win.  To increase your chances, also comment on my post from the blog hop with 3 Girl JAM, and my last guest design post on August 12.  Please become a follower.  Thanks, and good luck!

Best Friends are Magic! for Digi Choosday

It's Tuesday, it's Tuesday! It's Digi Choosday!  This is turning into my favorite day of the week.  I am having so much fun with Polkadoodle images, papers, and embellishments!

This week, our Digi Choosday challenge theme is "Two Patterned Papers". The rules are to use 2, but I snuck in 3, printing my sentiment on a patterned paper, also.

This image is Polkadoodle's Serenity Stardust.  Isn't she beautiful?  She's available as an individual download or as part of the wonderful Serenity Fairy Wishes Digital Craft Download.  All the papers, and the wonderful sentiment are from the same Serenity Fairy Wishes Collection.

The Pop out card can be found in the Silhouette Design Store.  Here's another angle of it.

Bell Ringer -- for Crafty Sentiments Designs

This is New Release time at Crafty Sentiments Designs. This month, it is all Christmas releases, and every single one of them is a "have-to-have".  You can view them all at the Crafty Sentiments Inspirations blog.

Today, I had the pleasure of working with this cute "Josh - Bell Ringer" rubber stamp.

I colored the "Josh -Bell Ringer" image with Copic markers, then fussy cut him out.  He was mounted on an ornament shape that I designed using Spellbinders dies.  The small, ornate ornament is a die from Paper Wishes. The twine is from Timeless Twine.

There's a little too much green grass showing for this to look like it's hanging from a Christmas tree, but you get the idea.

Check out the Crafty Sentiments Inspirations blog for more great creations.  Merry Christmas, everyone! LOL!

Waiting for Santa -- for Crafty Sentiments Designs

It's New Release time again at Crafty Sentiments Designs. You will find 4 days worth of new releases on the Crafty Sentiments Inspirations Blog.

Please, check them all out.  It all began yesterday.  One of today's new releases is "Josh - to Santa".  He is adorable, don't you think?

I colored "Josh -to Santa" with Copic markers, and cut the image out with a Spellbinders die, then cut a matching backing paper with another larger, matching die.  Then, I mounted them both on a gift bag, tying a variety of Christmas ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon to the bag handles.

The "Josh -to Santa" rubber stamp is delightful, and a joy to color!  It will be available in the Crafty Sentiments Designs store after Sept. 23.

I'll be back on Sunday with another new Christmas release.  They are all so adorable!

A Blessed Gift Bag - Guest Designing for SVG Attic

Today is my last day as guest designer at  SVG Attic.  I have so enjoyed my month, and thank Beth and her wonderful team for this opportunity!

Yesterday, I had lunch with two of my best friends.  I made two of these treat bags, filling them with chocolate - and love.

This gift bag is part of the JGW Sweetest Heart kit.  It is the Heart Window Tall Tote. I cut the bag out exactly as sized, using my Silhouette Cameo.  Papers are from Piggy Tales. The stamp is from Close To My Heart. I found a whole spool of the ribbon in a Ben Franklin store in Northern Minnesota for $1.  Score!

This bag is the perfect size to hold a few chocolates.  I think it's also perfect for any time of year to show affection and friendship.  My two friends loved them and the chocolate didn't last long!

You can find more gift bags, plus lots of other wonderful SVG files in the SVG Attic store.  Have you joined the SVG Attic Fanatics group on Facebook? You'll find lots of inspiration, great conversations, and fun there.

Thanks again to SVG Attic for this great opportunity!  I've enjoyed every minute of it!

Our theme this week is "All About the Men."  Male cards -- generally tough, but this one was so much fun!

I colored Cycling Boy with Copic markers, then used a Spellbinders die to cut him out.  The papers are part of the Work & Play 4 Download Collection.

This cutting file from SVG Attic is part of the Wedding Wishes Kit.  It is the Love Stories Gift Card Box.  3 Girl JAM products used are Jute Ribbon and String Bundle and Goblin Green from the Spooky Bundle.

The image is a digi stamp from Lacy Sunshine, called Molly.  I colored her with Copic markers and used a Spellbinders die to cut her out.  Papers and embellishments are from Close To My Heart.  The sentiment was computer generated.

Now how about some blog hop prizes??

Ballerina Hugs -- for 3 Girl JAM

Welcome, crafty friends!  I'm posting today for 3 Girl JAM, my favorite ribbon company in all the world!   I recently discovered a new digital stamp artist, and I thought her art and the tie dye ribbons would work well together, so I got busy...

The new digi stamp artist I discovered is Julia Spiri.  Her Etsy shop is here.  Her soon-to-launch challenge blog is here.  I heard about her design team call for her challenge blog and said, "Why not?"

Hurray!  I made the team!

But wait!  This is a post for 3 Girl JAM!  Back to my card....

I used the digi stamp, Little Ballerina, and colored her with Copic markers.  I used cutting dies by Die-namics and Paper Wishes.

The tie dye ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM.  This is Tie Dye Green from the original Tie Dye Bundle.  I enjoy pleating it the length of a card, using double sided tape.

There's a special this month at 3 Girl JAM.  You can grab the Caribbean Splash Bundle for only $1 with purchase of any other item using code August.  Or, for 10% off of your entire order, use discount code JO10.

Don't forget about the 3 Girl JAM Anything Goes with Ribbon challenge, going on all month.  You can find it here.

Join us Saturday, August 15 for a joint blog hop with SVG Attic.  There'll be prizes, fun, and lots of great inspiration!

It's Flip Flop Season -- for Snapdragon Snippets

I'm lucky enough to be posting today for Snapdragon Snippets.  I have two very fun, Summertime cards to share with you, both with a flip flops theme.

The first card is a popular motif with Snapdragon Snippets.  It's a Trio card, and in this case, a Flip Flop Trio A6 Card, found in the Silhouette Design Store, and coming soon to the Snapdragon Snippets Store.

The second card is a paper quilt pattern that I converted into an A2 sized card.  It's the August Docket Mini Quilt.

Papers for both these cards are from the same Close To My Heart paper packet - Zoe.  The sentiments are both from Joy's Life Stamps -- the Pun in the Sun stamp set.  I used Paper Wishes dies to cut out the stamped tags, and enamel dots from my stash.

Enjoy the rest of the summer -- it's winding down fast! Don't put those flip flops away quite yet!

Enjoy the Summer -- for Crafty Sentiments Challenge

It's Tuesday, and time for a new challenge at Crafty Sentiments Challenge Blog. Our theme this week is to use a sketch.  First the sketch:

Then, my take on it:

I used Lemonade Sunday rubber stamp on this card.  I cropped the stamped image just a bit to fit the sketch.  I colored Lemonade Sunday with Copic markers, then used 2 Spellbinders dies to cut her out and layer her.

Designer papers for this card are from Jillybean Soup, Blossom Soup 6x6 pad.  The sentiment is from Joy's Life Stamps, Pun in the Sun set.  I used a Lawn Fawn die to cut it out.  The card base is card stock from Close To My Heart. I finished off the card with 3 Skittles.

Join us at Crafty Sentiment Challenge blog for our Sketch challenge.  It's a fun sketch to work with!  You have two weeks to link up.

I used one of the beautiful Odella images for today's project.

This is Polkadoodles image is Odella Bow.   She is one of the Icky Ink digi stamps. I colored her with Copic markers.

I used papers from the Serenity Fairy Wishes Download Collection

I used cutting dies from Paper Wishes to make the two tags, and one from Spellbinders to cut out the sentiment.  The sentiment is from Close To My Heart.  The butterfly is a punch.  I have had it forever.  I believe it's from Tonic Studios.  The crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM. Perfect -- a New Release for DigiStamps4Joy

It's Sunday, and there are some incredible new releases you need to check out today in the DigiStamps4Joy store, with inspiration from the design team on the DS4J blog.  Great work!  Well worth the visit!

The digi I'm showcasing today is by a fairly new artist to the DigiStamps4Joy store, Tanya O'Connor.

This digi image is called Strong Lady 6.  She was a joy to color.  I tried a few new techniques on her, which is always fun for me.  I tried for a darker skin tone than usual, and the opaque veil was  very fun to experiment with. I used Copic markers on this digi image.

Fancy Notes -- for The Cutting Cafe

It's time for more design team inspiration at The Cutting Cafe. This time, we're all about notes.  We all need note paper, so why not fancy it up?

I used the Post-it Note Box and Cover set, from The Cutting Cafe, of course!

This box holds 4 3x3 Post-it notes.  It goes together VERY easily and quickly.

Then, each Post-it note was put in a sleeve with a paper to match the box, and banded with a wrap (all part of the cutting file -- all super easy.)

The papers on this project are My Mind's Eye -- Now & Then 12x12 Collection.  The ribbon is a 2-sided satin ribbon from Really Reasonable ribbon.  Great stuff!

I kept the embellishments to a minimum because I have to travel with this.  I didn't want everything getting squished and ruined.  Hopefully the bow will survive!

Stop by The Cutting Cafe blog on or after August 7 to see what other 'note'worthy creations the design team has to share with you.  Leave a comment on that blog, and you could win any 3 sets from The Cutting Cafe store!

Friends Make Life Colorful!

I'm pleased to be guest designing today for SVG Attic.  I was on the design team for awhile, switched to their sister team, Snapdragon Snippets, but jumped at the chance to guest design for Beth and my SVG Attic sisters.  I love all the wonderful SVG files in the Store!

I used two different collections today -- SDS Home Tweet Home and the Step Card SVG Collection.

The one-story birdhouse is only part of the fun in the SDS Home Tweet Home kit.  There are 2 more adorable houses you can construct, too (plus a blue bird box and a birdhouse card).

Papers for both these projects are from Close To My Heart.  They are retired, but still one of my favorites.  The crinkle ribbon on the birdhouse is from 3 Girl JAM.  It's from one of the new bundles -- charcoal, from the Rustic Country Bundle.

The step card is one of 5 designs that come in the kit. This is the center step card:

Today's card is also part of the Inspiration Destination Challenge Blog. The image is from one of our sponsors -- Polkadoodles.  This is Octavia - Best Friends. I colored Octavia with Copic markers. Her BFF, the owl, was colored with Prismacolor pencils.

The sentiment is from Close To My Heart

Our challenges are always anything goes, so please join us!

When I was given the opportunity to guest design for SVG Attic, I was given a gift certificate.  I'd like to pass that gift on to one of you.  To win, please leave a comment on today's post.  Also make sure you are a follower of my blog.  Visit my blog again on August 15th for the joint SVG Attic/3 Girl JAM blog hop, and again when I guest design on August 19.  I'll pick a winner from the comments for the gift certificate. Good luck!
