Hello Summer Slimline Card -- For Paper ala Mode Challenges

It's Saturday, and it's time for a new challenge at the Paper ala Mode Challenges, found at The Outlawz.  The challenge will run for 2 weeks, and is sponsored by We Are 3 Digital Shop. One participant will win a gift certificate to the We Are 3 Digital Shop! Thank you, Bonnie, for your continued support of our challenge!

The Paper ala Mode challenges always have a theme, and this time, the theme is Summer!

I used mostly We Are 3 Digital Shop products on this card.  The designer papers are from the Cone Flower Love collection.  The pretty flower that I used watercolor markers on is Cone Flower Bloom.  The sentiment is part of the Itty Bitty Summer Sentiment Set

The dies on this card are by Anna Griffin -- except the butterfly.  I've had that die forever, and I think it's by Paper Wishes. Oh, and the stitched circle die is by Crafter's Companion.

Summer -- a  great time of year, and a great theme for a challenge!  Join us at Paper ala Mode for the next 2 weeks!  Sponsored by We Are 3 Digital Shop!

Unicorn Swim -- for All Dressed Up Stamps

Today, I'm showcasing one of the New Releases at All Dressed Up Stamps. Twice each month, the design team showcases the month's new releases to draw attention to them.  Today is one of those days. You'l find the New Releases, and all the fantastic All Dressed Up digis in the All Dressed Up Stamps Etsy Shop

There are 3 new releases this month, including the adorable Unicorn Swim.  I feel cooler just looking at her splashing around!

Isn't she sweet?  I colored Unicorn Swim with Copic markers, then fussy cut the image.  I cut the rocking card base out on my Silhouette Cameo 3, with a file I found in the Silhouette Design store.  I used papers from Crafter's Companion.  The sentiment is a die from Tonic Studios.

You can see what the other design team members created with this month's new releases by visiting the All Dressed Up Facebook group, and the All Dressed Up Blog. You'll find challenges in both of those places with chances to win ADU images!  Join us!

Hey Sunshine! For The Paper Shelter

It's Wednesday, and a new challenge begins today at The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog. Today is the start of the Paper Shelter Summer Break Challenge.  The challenge will run for 4 weeks.  Both teams are participating, prizes are as wonderful as they always are, but the teams are taking a break from commenting.  But PLEASE!  Enter and have fun while we take a bit of a break.

There are so many adorable Summertime images in The Paper Shelter Store, and since this is the start of our Summer Break, I decided to color one of them up. This is Summer Attitude:

I colored Summer Attitude with Copic markers, then fussy cut that darling image out.  I used Distress Oxide inks and inked a background, hoping for sea, sky, and sun.

The palm tree is a die by Spellbinders.  I found the surfboard paper at PixelScrapper.com. The 'Hey Sunshine' is from an old card kit I had.

You have a month to join our Anything Goes Summer Break Challenge at The Paper Shelter. If you use an image from The Paper Shelter Store, and you're the winner of the challenge, you'll get a $30 gift certificate to The Paper Shelter Store.  Wow!  Use any other image, and you win any 3 images of your choice.  Still a great prize!

Towards the Sunshine -- for Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration Blog

It's Tuesday, and it's the day that I'm fortunate enough to be able to post on the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration & Challenge Blog. I love an opportunity to color up these wonderful images!  You'll find them here in the GJZCCK Etsy Shop

This week, the design team was challenged to use dots &/or stripes on their project.  I chose to use dots (OK, big dots that look A LOT like sunflowers) and stripes on my project. The image is called Towards the Sunshine.

I colored Towards the Sunshine with Copic markers and fussy cut the image.  The papers on this card are by We Are 3 Digital Shop. They are part of the Sunflower Collection.

I hope you visit the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration & Challenge Blog often.  Then, check out the CCK Facebook group for even more inspiration and another challenge.

Black & White -- For Paper ala Mode Challenges

It's Saturday, and a new challenge is underway at Paper ala Mode Challenges. It all happens over at The Outlawz Challenges.  The challenge will run for 2 weeks, is sponsored by We Are 3 Digital Shop, and has the theme of Black & White.

Bonnie has some beautiful floral printables in the We Are 3 Digital Shop that can either be colored, inked, or left as is.  For the sake of this Black & White challenge, I left the Floral Mums printable alone.  I have colored it up, and it's gorgeous!

I printed the Floral Mums printable on a 5x5 square, then used the flower shaped die to cut it out.  I used a slightly larger layer to back it with for some contrast.

The 'Thank You' sentiment is from the All Occasion Sentiment Set.  I used the same set of flower shaped dies to cut it out, and several layers of designer paper to make a flower.

The dotted papers on this card are from the Mostly Dots papers.

I hope you can join us this next 2 weeks at Paper ala Mode Challenges for our Black & White challenge.  One participant will be given a gift certificate to the We Are 3 Digital Shop.  Great prize!

Nautical Thanks -- for Dies R Us Challenges

It's the 15th of the month, and it's time for a new challenge at Dies R Us Challenges.  The challenge will run for the next 2 weeks.  It is Anything Goes!  Just use a brand of die sold in the Dies R Us Store.  Easy, right?

I recently celebrated a birthday, and got some awesome gifts.  I needed some thank you cards to let those friends and family know their thoughtfulness was appreciated.  Since it's summer, I thought a nautical themed card would be appropriate:

The 'Thanks' word shaped die is by Crafter's Companion.  It cuts out the outline, then the letters (which are all connected).

I cut the letters out of a piece of Nautical paper from We Are 3 Digital Shop. I inked the edges with Colorbox Royal Blue Ink

Some of the ephemera were also cut out of Nautical paper, and were inked with Tim Holtz Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink.   The sailboats are dies from Impression Obsession. The other nautical ephemera is by Crafter's Companion

I hope you can join us at Dies R Us Challenges these next 2 weeks for our Anything Goes challenge.  Remember, just use a brand of die sold in the Dies R Us Store

For those of you in Canada, check out the awesome Didi Crafts Store for fantastic crafts supplies and great shipping rates.

Fabulous & Feminine -- For The Paper Shelter

It's Wednesday, and that means there's a new challenge beginning today at The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog.  Every Wednesday, a new challenge begins.  This week, team B brings you the challenge (me!) and the theme is 'Feminine'.  There are so, so, so many wonderful feminine images in The Paper Shelter Store, that you just have to take a look!  Find your favorite (or several), color it up, and enter it in our Feminine challenge this week.

When I was exploring The Paper Shelter Store, I found this Victorian lady.  I thought she was so elegant.  Definitely feminine!  I decided to create with The Lady...

I colored The Lady with Copic markers.  I used a stitched oval die to cut her out, and inked the edges with Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink.

The papers on this card are by Crafter's Companion. So is the 'Fabulous' die.   I cut the card base out on my Silhouette Cameo 3, using a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store.  The piece of lace is from my stash.

I hope you join us this week at The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog for our Feminine Challenge. If you're the lucky winner, and you used a Paper Shelter image, you'll win a $30 gift certificate to The Paper Shelter Store.  Wow!

It's Tuesday, and this is the day that I am fortunate enough to post on the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration & Challenge Blog.  The challenge theme this month is Embossing.  I hope you can join us!

This week, the design team was given the challenge of making a monochromatic project.  I used Green Clover to create this:

I colored Green Clover with Copic markers, then fussy cut the image.  I placed her on a stitched oval die.

The background paper is by We Are 3 Digital Shop. It is one of the Fairy Land papers

On the Moon -- for Ching Chou Kuik Inspiration & Challenge Blog

It's Tuesday, and this is the day that I post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration & Challenge Blog.   We have a new challenge that's just getting underway.  The theme this month is Embossing -- wet or dry.  You can find many beautiful images in the Ching-Chou Kuik Etsy Shop that would work wonderful for this, or any challenge!

I have a confetti embossing folder that I thought might look like falling stars (if you use your imagination).  I also have been wanting to color up the lovely On the Moon.  Here's what I created:

I colored On the Moon with Copic markers.  The background paper (behind the embossed piece) is from We Are 3 Digital Shop. It is one of the Daydreams papers. The stitched stars are Tutti Designs dies.

I hope you visit the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration & Challenge blog for all the great inspiration, but also to enter this month's challenge.  Visit the Facebook group, too, for another challenge and even more inspiration.  You'll find it here

For My (4-legged) Friend -- and The Paper ala Mode Challenges

It's Saturday, and we're starting a new challenge at The Paper ala Mode Challenge.  You'll find it all happening at The Outlawz Challenges, where there is a challenge every day of the week! The Paper ala Mode challenges run for 2 weeks and have a theme.  The theme for the next 2 weeks is 'Fur, Feathers, or Fins'.  Many of us are animal lovers, so I think this will be a popular  one! As always Bonnie Kohane, of We Are 3 Digital Shop is sponsoring the challenge.  Thank you, Bonnie!

My birthday is in July, and last year for my birthday, Bonnie made myself and the design team a set of papers and printables called Muddy Paws.  I cannot tell you how much I've enjoyed them, using them many times on many projects!  The team and I used them again for today's inspiration on the 'Fur, Feathers, and Fins' theme.

I cut out the Muddy Paws printable in the shape of a doghouse (die by Crafter's Companion).  It cuts into the face of the card.  There are also several Muddy Paws papers used on this card.  The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Birthday Sentiment Set.

The dog shaped die cuts are by Cheery Lynn designs.

The Outlawz has a new Ning platform, so if it is your first time on the new site, you'll need to log in.  It's very similar to the old site, but hopefully with less issues.  I hope you can join us this next two weeks at Paper ala Mode for the Fur, Feathers, and Fins challenge.  I'd love to see your creations, and Bonnie gives a wonderful gift certificate to one winner for the We Are 3 Digital Shop Store

Rudolf's Little Helper is colored with Copic markers.  Those fantastic papers are by We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are part of the Winter Digital Paper Collection.

Summer Friends -- For Dies R Us Challenges

July 1 -- These months go so fast, don't they?  July 1 means the start of a new challenge at Dies R Us Challenges.  The requirements are easy peasy.  The theme is anything goes, and use a brand of die sold in the Dies R Us Store.  They sell lots and lots of wonderful dies, so that's really easy to do!  Shop the Dies R Us Store and you'll see for yourself!

I have a few friends that live out of state and I try to send them cards every week or so.  I'm always in need of friendship cards.  So, when I saw this Crafter's Companion connecting word die, I knew I had to have it...

I cut the 'Friend' word die out of the middle of the 6x6 card, then put the green card behind it to add some stability.  I found the pretty floral paper in my stash, and it looked like summer to me, so I used it to add color to the panels of the card.  The dragonfly die is by Cheery Lynn.  I have used the small one here, which is no longer available, but the large dragonfly size is.

I hope you can join us these next 2 weeks for our 'Anything Goes' with a brand of die sold in the Dies R Us Store challenge!  A gift certificate will be awarded, and 3 designer choice awards.

Light it Up -- For Cute Card Thursday

It's the first Thursday of the month, and Cute Card Thursday has now gone to monthly challenges.  That's right, monthly!  You have a whole month to make a card and try to win a prize from our awesome sponsors!  The theme is Anything Goes -- with the optional twist of Summer.

The 4th of July is a big, big holiday here in the States, and my little town has a huge celebration.  Last year, of course, was a bust, but this year, the party is on!  There's things happening on all weekend, but the highlights are a huge parade, a beach party, and of course fireworks.  I believe this little guy is ready for the action...

adorable, isn't he!  He's from Whimsy Stamps, one if this month's sponsors. He is part of the Gnome Summer Celebration Digital Stamp Set.  He is one of 3 stamps in the set.

I colored the Gnome Summer Celebration with Copic markers, then went searching for some patriotic papers.  I found these at AMBillustrations. They are the Stars & Stripes papers.

The blue star embellishments are large sequins from Close To My Heart.  I computer generated the sentiment, and placed it on a banner form Tonic Studios.

I hope I have as much fun on the 4th as this guy appears to be having!

Join us this month as Cute Card Thursday! Remember, it's a month long, and the theme is Anything Goes, with the option of Summertime.  Our sponsors are Whimsy Stamps and All Dressed Up Stamps
