Winter Wonderland -- An All Dressed Up New Release

It's the 22nd of the month, and it's the day I get to show off one of the gorgeous New Releases at All Dressed Up Stamps. Every month, Wendy Burns releases up to 4 new digital images for us all to enjoy.

Here's Christmas Walkies....

I colored Christmas Walkies with Copic markers.  The sentiment, including that big, bold die cut "Winter" are from a Crafter's Companion stamp and die set.

The papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  The blue snow-like background is part of the Christmas Magic papers. The snowflake paper is one of the Loving Winter collection. The snowflakes are various dies in my collection.

Check out the New Releases that are showcased today in the All Dressed Up Facebook Group and on the ADU Blog. You'll find all the New Releases (and wonderful digital images) in the All Dressed Up Stamps Etsy Shop

Happy Christmas -- for Ching Chou Kuik Digital Stamps

It's Monday,  and it's my day to post on the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration & Challenge Blog.  The theme this month is Happy Christmas or Happy Birthday.  I'm done with Christmas cards, but there's always next year, right?

I used the adorable Aurora Woods to create this:

I colored Aurora Woods with Copic markers, then cut her out with a stitched oval die from my stash.

The pretty background dies are from Anna Griffin, the Happy Christmas sentiment is from Crafter's Companion, and the snowflakes dies are from Cheery Lynn and Lawn Fawn.

I hope you join the "Happy" (Christmas or Birthday) challenge at Ching-Chou Kuik this month.  You'll find another challenge and more inspiration in the CCK Facebook group!

Gifts of the Season -- a JDS Challenge Reminder

It's time for a reminder post at JDS Challenges (Jan's Digi Stamps Challenges).  The challenges are always Anything Goes, and this challenge will run until Jan. 3, 2021. There's still plenty of time to enter!

I made one last Christmas card for today's challenge (although I think it's actually for my 2021 stash).  Using two of the images from Holly & Boo, I created this:

I used the pine cone images and framed one of the sentiments, making the sentiment the focal point.  I've been trying to jump on the slimline bandwagon, but I haven't figured out the knack of photographing them yet.  I took this one form above, but I'm not real happy with the results.  It looks wonky.  Anyway, I hope you can see the pretty pine sprigs, and the lovely sentiment.

The papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop. They are 2 of the papers in the Holly Berries Collection.

I used slimline dies from Tutti Designs.  The poinsettia is from Close To My Heart.

I hope you find time to join us during this busy season at JDS Challenges.  I'd love to see your creations!

Brrrr Winter! For Dies R Us Challenges

It's the 15th of the month, and it's time for a new challenge at Dies R Us Challenges.  Every 2 weeks, a new challenge begins!  For the next 2 weeks, the theme is 'Winter Wonderland'.  Yeah, winter is almost here, isn't it?  I actually love winter, and I adore making winter cards, so this was a great challenge for me!

Shop the Dies R Us Store.  You'll find tons of dies that fit this theme!  All you have to do is use one form a die that Dies R Us sells to be eligible for the challenge. They sell dies from dozens of companies, so that is easy to do!

My entry for the 'Winter' Theme!

I started out inking my winter sky background.  I used distress oxide inks, purchased from Dies R Us in the colors of Peacock Feathers, Speckled Egg, Salty Ocean, Seedless Preserves, and Blueprint Sketch.  Then, I made the "snowbanks".  They are actually Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside border dies.  The cute snowbird is from Elizabeth Crafts.  The Brrrrr Winter Sentiment is part of a Winter Wishes Sentiment set from Elizabeth Crafts.

I hope you join us this next two weeks for our Winter Wonderland challenge.  Check out all the wonderful dies and supplies in the Dies R Us Store.  Canadian customers, you'll want to shopping the Didi Crafts store

Cardinal Noel -- For Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps

It's Monday, and this is my day to post for the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration & Challenge Blog.  I feel so privileged to have the opportunity to work with these gorgeous works of art!

Today is the first time I'm using one of Ching-Chou Kuik's greyscale images.  I have to admit to being intimidated by it.  I wasn't sure what medium to use with it.  I originally thought I'd use watercolor, then decided at the last minute to go with colored pencils.  They are never my strong suit, so I'm not sure what possessed me, but I'm laying my soul bare here!

Here's Greyscale Cardinal:

I think it was the fact that there was so much real estate to color that intimidated me so much.  The cardinals were the easy part!  It was choosing colors and filling in all the rest of it that was the tough part for me!  But here it is.  After all is said and done, I will go for another greyscale image at some point.

The pretty paper behind the Greyscale Cardinal  is from We Are 3 Digital Shop. It is one of the Fairy Holiday papers.  The "Noel" sentiment is from The Scrapping Cottage.

I hope you join in on the "Happy" Challenge at Ching-Chou Kuik.  For another challenge, and more inspiration, check out the CCK Facebook group

Holiday Chaos, Day 3 at Bugaboo Stamps

Reindeer Games continues today with an Anything But a Card Challenge.  Use your creativity -- boxes, bags, tags, scrapbook layouts, whatever you want (as long as it's not a card) is the theme today at Catch the Bug Challenges

What's Christmas without tags?  So, that's what I made for today's challenge:

These tags use the adorable Bugaboo Stamps digis called AKV Reindeer Names Tags.  I used the pre-colored versions on these tags.

I cut them out with dies form Queen & Company, and used some twine I purchased at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Join us all week at Catch the Bug Challenges!  Today, it's Anything But a Card.

Snowing Beauty -- for Ching-Chou Kuik

It's Monday, and this is my day to post on the Ching-Chou Kuik Challenge and Inspiration Blog.  Since this is the first Monday of the month, I'm also going to talk about this month's challenge.  The challenge theme for December is "Happy"!  Happy Christmas, Happy Birthday, or Just Because.  Your choice!  We'd just like you to join the challenge at Ching-Chou Kuik!

For this month, I chose the Happy Christmas theme.  I'm working on sending my Christmas cards out as I write this, and I always seem to need another one or 2, so thought I'd use this lovely Snowflake Imprint image to create this:

I colored Snowflake Imprint with Copic markers, then used circle dies from Lifestyle Crafts to  cut her out and create the circle shaped card.

The foil accented snowflake paper is from Crafter's Companion.  The snowflakes, sentiment, and die it is stamped on are also from Crafter's Companion.

There is wonderful inspiration everyday on the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and Challenge Blog.  I hope you check out all the talent there for more ideas and inspiration. Speaking of inspiration, visit the CCK Facebook group, for even more!

Christmas Stocking -- for SheepSki Designs

It's a new month, so there's a new challenge starting at SheepSki Designs Challenge Blog. Challenges start on the first of the month, and run all month.  This month, the theme is "Feature a Creature."  You'll find many images in the SheepSki Designs Etsy shop that will work for this theme!  Or enter any image you have that fits the theme.

I think Christmas Stocking is so, so sweet!  I wanted a chance to color it up, and it features not one creature, but many!

I colored Christmas Stocking with Copic markers.  The Christmas Stocking digi comes with several versions -- just the bed, and then the whole scene that I colored. I cut out the Christmas Stocking image with a square stitched die from Spellbinders.

The papers on this care are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  The blue sparkly paper is from the Christmas Magic paper pack. The pink bunny paper is part of the Snow Globes Collection

The 'Noel' was computer generated, and cut out with a die from Crafter's Companion.

I hope you find time to join us this busy month of December at SheepSki Designs Challenge Blog  for our Feature a Creature challenge!

Christmas Bunting --For All Dressed Up Stamps

It's December 1, and that means there is a new challenge starting in the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook Group.  Every month, a new challenge begins on the first of the month, and runs the whole month.  This month, the theme is "Make it Square".  An All Dressed Up Stamps image must be used in the challenge.  You'll find tons of great images that I know you'd love to color up in the All Dressed Up Stamps Etsy Shop

I thought the very sweet Christmas Bunting image would work well for the "Make it Square" themed challenge this month:

I colored Christmas Bunting with Copic markers, then used a couple sizes of nesting square dies form Crafter's Companion to cut her out and back her.

The pretty Christmas papers in non-traditional colors are from We Are 3 Digital Shop. They are 2 of the papers in the Shabby Christmas Collection.

The stitched star is a die from Crafter's Companion.  I cut it out with some red mirror card.

I hope you will join us this busy month of December for our "Make it Square" Challenge in the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook Group. You'll also find great inspiration in the group.  You'll find another challenge, and even more great inspiration on the All Dressed Up Stamps Challenge Blog

It's December 1st,  and that means it's the start of a new challenge at Dies R Us Challenge Blog. Our challenges run for 2 weeks (this one goes until Dec. 14), and they have themes.  The current theme is "Christmas".  Now, that's a perfect theme to finish up, or maybe tackle those Christmas cards! Just use a brand of die sold in the Dies R Us Store, and link up at Dies R Us Challenges

Here's my Christmas card for the Dies R Us Challenge

There's a lot going on with this card.  Let me tell you how it's made:  The poinsettias are made with a die from Memory Box called Poinsettia Bloom Trio. They layer so nicely! The oval is from a Spellbinders set. I cut it out with a piece of gold foil paper.  Gluing it was a bit of a challenge, but it cut beautifully! The stitched rectangles are by Lawn Fawn.  They are from both the small and the large Stitched Rectangle Stackables.  The 'Joy' sentiment is one of the sentiments in the Winter Wishes set by Elizabeth Craft Designs.  This is a great set, and one I reach for often.

The designer papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are from the Victorian Christmas Collection

You'll find many wonderful dies and other  supplies in the Dies R Us Store.  If you are from Canada, you'll want to check out the sister store, Didi Crafts for more great products, and great shipping rates!
