A Shaker Christmas -- for The Cutting Cafe

Happy Saturday everyone!  I'm so glad it's the weekend!  I pack way too much into my weeks in December, so a day off is just what I need today.
This time, at The Cutting Cafe, the design team is showcasing shaker cards -- lots of Christmas shapes and Christmas words -- all shakers.
Here's my shaker creation...

I had so much fun creating this Christmas Shape Shaker Card, found, of course, in The Cutting Cafe store.  Do you remember the ghost shaker card I made at Halloween for the blind lady in the nursing home where I work?  Well, she STILL shows that to every new person who enters her room.  So, guess who's getting this card?  I filled it with heart shaped confetti, because, not only will she be able to hear them when she shakes it, but she'll hear what's in it over and over, when she shows it to people.  And, she'll just know the card is filled with love!
I used Echo Park Home For the Holidays 12x12 papers on this shaker card (did I mention there are 8 Christmas shaped shaker cards in the set?).  The heart shaped sequins are from Bella Creationz.  The snowflake on top of the tree is cut with a die from Cheery Lynn.  The classy deer is a Sweet Cuts die.  I think the lady at the nursing home will enjoy that deer, too.  She used to have apple trees in her yard, and tells stories of the deer eating apples off her trees.  She likes deer, so I had to add this elegant deer to her card.
Don't forget to check out The Cutting Cafe blog on Dec. 7 to see all the great shaker cards.  Leave a comment and you could win 3 sets of your choice.  Yeah!
I'm entering this in the following challenges:
D.L. Art -- Dec Linky Party
D.L. Art -- any winter holiday
Hiding in My Craft Room -- Christmas Colors

God Keeps His Promises! for QKR Stampede

It's Friday, and time for a new challenge at QKR Stampede.  This week, our theme is "rainbows".  The design team thought of many creative ways to use rainbows on their projects!  Here's mine:

This digi can be found in our sister store, Eureka Stamps.  It's called "Promises Rainbow"(digi4902). I colored the rainbow digi with Chameleon Pens. They are still very new to me, so this was a good image to practice on.
My card base is Kraft paper from Close To My Heart. The designer papers are Lawn Fawn Sweater Weather 6x6 papers.  The clouds are a die by Joy Crafts (Noor Designs).
Make sure and check out the QKR Stampede blog to see the fantastic rainbow creations by the design team, then link up your own rainbow project.  I'd love to see what you make!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Path of Positivity -- Faith -- nothing says "faith" like a rainbow.
ALBC -- Anything but Christmas

Holiday Greetings! for Delightful Challenges

Happy Thursday, fellow stamp lovers.  It's time for a new challenge at Delightful Challenges.  Today, the theme is "Twinkle, twinkle" (add something sparkly).  It's also a new release today, so make sure and stop by the blog and the store to see all the darling new releases!
I had the pleasure of "working" with Skiing Ollie Owl. Here he is!

He's a hotdog, swishing down that ski slope!  I do believe he has a bit of Norwegian blood in him -- just look at him go!
I colored Skiing Ollie Owl with Copic markers, and cut him out with a Spellbinder Label die, mounted to some American Crafts glitter paper, cut with another Spellbinder die.
I wanted Skiing Ollie Owl to have a bit of a challenge, so he has some birch trees to ski through in the designer paper I used by Echo Park --Keepin' Cozy 6x6 paper pad. The snowflakes added more sparkle to my card.  They are a Cheery Lynn Snowflowers die, and more American Crafts glitter paper.  The sentiment is cut out with another Spellbinders die.
Our sponsor this week is Scrapyland.  They are offering a $10 gift certificate to their store!

Come join our "Twinkle, Twinkle" challenge this week at Delightful Challenges.  It's a fun one!

Be a Friend -- for Fitztown

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  There are some new releases today at Fitztown.  When I saw this digi, I KNEW I had to create with it!

This digi can be found in the Morgan's Fae World Etsy Shop.
I had a great time coloring this.  I used many different Copic markers on this.
The designer papers are from American Crafts -- Dear Lizzy 5th & Frolic. The card base is Pixie card stock from Close To My Heart. The crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM.  It is one of the Tie Dye 2 Collection. The sentiment is from Close To My Heart.  The wood veneer dogs are from Studio Calico.
Check out the Fitztown blog today to see other inspiration with the new releases.  They're fantastic!

Beary Christmas! for Amy Doodle's Stamp Co.

Happy Tuesday, happy December!  I'm posting today for Amy Doodle's Stamp Company.  Today, I'm featuring Beary Christmas.

I colored the digi with Copic markers in the following colors:
Hat -- R32, R35, R37, R39
Hat rim -- C00, C01 -- Crystal Stickles
Ribbon -- BG32, BG34
Bear -- E30, E31, E44, E47
Eyes -- B04, B24
The sentiment is part of the Beary Christmas digi.  It comes with several sentiment options.  I cut it out using a circle punch from Creative Memories.
The designer papers were a gift.  I believe they are from Doodle Bug Designs.  The glitter paper is from American Crafts.  I used Lifestyle Crafts circle dies to cut the various circles to create the layers and card base.  The snowflakes were cut out using Cheery Lynn Snowflowers dies.
Check out the North Pole event on Facebook each day this week to see more great winter/Christmas creations.  And, there's always fun and inspiration on the Amy Doodle Facebook page

Dreaming of Joy -- for My Whimsical Little World

Hello, crafty friends, and happy Monday!  I'm posting today for My Whimsical Little World.  I'm very excited to be designing for Paola Jofre, and working with her wonderful, artistic digi stamps.
Today, I created this dreamy card:

You can find this digi in Paola's Papers Etsy Shop. She comes with many accessories.  I used just a few.
I colored this dreamy girl with Copic markers and fussy cut her, along with coloring and cutting the ornaments.  The papers were some free ones I got in a magazine subscription.  The card base is Glacier card stock from Close To My Heart.  All the dies are from Lawn Fawn. The crinkle ribbon is from the Tie Dye Bundle  found at 3 Girl JAM.

Let's Celebrate! for Eureka Stamps

It's Monday, and the beginning of December.  This whole month is a celebration, and that's our theme this week at Eureka Stamps. I still have a few Christmas cards to make, so I created one for the Celebration challenge.

I used two Eureka Stamps digis on this card -- Santa on Skates (digi7501) and the sentiment "Joy, joy, joy" (digi8104).
I colored Santa with Copic markers, and added some Crystal Stickles to his coat and hat.  I used a Lifestyles Circle Die in several sizes to cut out the various size circles and to create the card base.  Papers are all from Close To My Heart.  The snowflakes and sentiment die are from Lawn Fawn.
Join us this week at Eureka Stamps for our Celebration challenge -- there are many events to celebrate!
