I love shaped cards, and when I got a wonderful Pinque Peacock package in the mail that included these beautiful Layered Garden Beauties, I just knew I wanted to make a flower shaped card:

I found the shaped card in the Silhouette Online Store here.  I used Pacifica, Pear, and Sorbet cardstock from Close To My Heart for the base of the card. I punched out a label with a Creative Memories Label maker, & wrote the sentiment. Then, I added the Layered Garden Beauty. Voila! my card is complete.

After hopping, we would LOVE for you to visit the

A Rainy Friday for Friends With Flair

Hello, and happy Friday, my crafty friends.  We're in a rainy stretch of weather here, but the flowers are beginning to poke through and signs of spring are everywhere!  I was feeling happy when I made this card, using Unity stamps:

I spent some time last week with 3 of my best friends, up north.  It rained every day.  And, snowed 4 inches one of the days.  The day the weather was the worst, I spent some time coloring some stamped images I had brought along with Copic markers.  This is one of those images. The stamp I used is "Spring & Bloom" -- an Itty Bitty. I didn't think I had any paper to match (really? with the million pieces of  paper I have, I should be able to match anything!) but I hunted and hunted, and found some really old papers that I had forgotten I had.  Please don't tell my husband.  I tell him I know where everything is in my scrap room!  And, usually I do.  Maybe it's an aging thing?  Not a too much paper thing?
I used a couple Spellbinders dies, some Stickles in the center of the flowers, and some bling from my stash on this card to finish it off.
Make sure you check out the great inspiration with the other Friends With Flair link ups.  This group is incredibly talented! And, have a great weekend!

Challenge #13 for Silhouette Challenges -- Gift Bag

It's the time for another challenge over at

Ch# 13 Gift Bag (No Boxes)
Begins: Thursday, May 1
Ends: Saturday, May 31

A blog dedicated to the Silhouette Cutting Machines.
You MUST use a Silhouette somehow in your project.

Sponsor this month is:

Vinyl Ease 30 Sheets of Permanent Adhesive Backed Vinyl for Craft Cutters,
6 by 12-Inch, Assorted

I found a file I just HAD to try at SVG Attic, and cut it out on my Silhouette, of course.  What do you think?

It's from the SVG Attic Pretty Purses file.  I used papers and a brad from the My Mind's Eye Collectable collection.  The ribbons are all scraps I've been saving from 3 Girl JAM.
Here's another view:

I wonder how well it would hold up on my walk to work?

Head in over to see what the DT has created for your inspiration and link up today.

Too Cool! for DigiStamps4Joy

It's mid-challenge time at DigiStamps4Joy.  The current challenge is Water Everywhere.  There were any number of great digis in the DigiStamps4Joy store, but I decided on this too cool, "Alex the Surfer".

I used this fun digi to make this:

Alex needed lots of waves to play in, so I used a step card from SVG Attic with plenty of wave action. The card is part of the "All at Sea" collection.  Alex was colored with Copic markers, then fussy cut to fit inside the waves.
Here's a close up:

The sentiment is a stamp from Close To My Heart. The papers are by Fancy Pants, Summer's End.
Alex is ready for summer!  Come join the "Water Everywhere" challenge at DigiStamps4Joy.
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
D.L. Art Thankful Thursday -- May Linky Party
Just B Creative Crazy -- May Linky Party

Lexi's Creations -- For the man/boy in your life

A Trio of Birdhouses for SVG Attic

My husband and I are what you'd call "birders".  We love to watch birds, feed birds, study birds.  We've been known to drive many miles to see a rare bird, and love to add new birds to our life list.  So, when SVG Attic recently released their "Home Tweet Home" set, I knew I HAD to make those adorable birdhouses -- all 3 of them!

I wanted some papers that just spoke "happy".  I thought the "Love Me Do" line from My Mind's Eye did just that, and I used it on all three houses.  Each house has some 3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon on it also.
Here's a close up of each house:
Three story, for those large bird families:
a two-story, starter home:
and, your retirement home for two love birds:
Whichever house suits your needs, you'll find them all at SVG Attic.  And, it doesn't take a builder to put them together.  Just a cutting machine, some paper, and glue.  Easy!  Check out the other great projects by the talented design team on the SVG Attic blog.  You're sure to be inspired!
Have you entered the SVG Attic Anything Goes challenge yet?  There's great prizes to be won!  Use one of the wonderful SVG Attic files and link up!

Everything's coming up -- Tulips!

There are a few signs of Spring showing up in my yard.  My tulips are up, but not yet in bloom, but I have hope.  This week, with the start of a new term for The Cutting Cafe, we're designing with a variety of tulip files:

I chose to use the Tulip Shaped Card Set, and used it to create this:

This tulip card makes me happy, knowing that soon, the tulips will be blooming here!  I used papers from Close To My Heart to make this card.  The ribbon and vintage button are from 3 Girl JAM.  I faux stitched around the card with a black marker.  I didn't put a sentiment on the card as it seemed complete just as it is!  Bloom, tulips, bloom!
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

A Garden Scene for Fitztown

If you're looking for the Blossom Blog Hop, please click here, or scroll down.
Hello, and Happy Sunday!  I'm so pleased to be guest designing today for Fitztown.  They have some fabulous digital images, and I'm thrilled at the opportunity to have a chance to work play with them!
The image that I used on this card (Garden 19), was so much fun to color with my Copic markers.
The current challenge at Fitztown is "Lots of Layers", so that's what I did.  I used layers of paper, layered on the ribbon, added a 2-layered butterfly, then added a layer of pearls to that, just for more layers!
This card was made with a Close To My Heart Kraft cardstock base, My Mind's Eye Collectable "Remarkable" 6x6 designer papers, & London Blue 3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon from the Wine & Jewels Bundle. The "Hello" sentiment is from Unity Stamp Company. The butterfly is a Cheery Lynn die.  There were several Spellbinders dies used on this card. I used some glossy cardstock on the butterfly that I recently bought at a scrapbook store where the owner was retiring and closing the store :(   The pearls are also from Close To My Heart.
I'll be guest designing for Fitztown for the next two months, so you'll be seeing more of their incredible images.  I'm sooo excited!
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
