You Make Me Smile -- for Sasayaki Glitter Challenge Blog

It's Challenge time!  Sasayaki Glitter Challenge Blog is starting a new challenge today. The theme this month is "CAS".  This theme can be kind of a tricky one, yes?  Just what makes a card CAS?  That's the stumbling block for me.

I THINK this qualifies, but that's the rub.  Help me decide, will you please?

No matter what, I have an adorable Sasayaki Glitter Digital Stamp to share with you today.  This is Amy in the Garden...

I colored Amy in the Garden with Copic markers.   The papers for this card are from Echo Park.  The sentiment is part of the same collection -- Walk in the Park. The stitched frames are from Lawn Fawn.

I hope you can join us this month at Sasayaki Glitter Challenge Blog for our CAS Challenge.  Let me see you interpretation of the theme! Check out the Sasayaki Glitter Facebook Group.  We have great fun!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

You Amaze Me -- for Julia Spiri Challenge Blog

It's Thursday, and time for a new challenge at the Julia Spiri Challenge Blog.  For the next 2 weeks, the theme is 'At the beach or sea.'

Julia has some fantastic images, including some wonderful pirates & mermaids, found in her Etsy shop, that are perfect for this challenge theme!

Here's my card, using Charlotte Pirate....

I colored Charlotte Pirate with Copic markers.  I used several edger dies from Paper Wishes to cut her out and the card layers.

Papers for this card are from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.  She just released a whole Taste of Summer Collection, and these papers are just a "taste" of the collection.   There's a blog hop going on for another day, and you could win the whole collection if you hop, or the patterned paper collection if you leave a comment on my blog.  Check out this post for details.

Do you like that octopus?  That was a freebie I got in an order from Spellbinders dies.  Living in land-locked Wisconsin, I didn't think I'd ever use it.  I jumped for joy when I found a place for him on this card, and I think he is adorable!

The die cut "you" and the sentiment are from Simon Says Stamp.

I had such fun creating this card, and I want you to have just as much fun, so I hope you can join our At the Beach or Sea challenge for the next 2 weeks at Julia Spiri Challenge blog. Check out the Stamps by Julia Spiri Facebook group, too!  It's even more fun!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Enjoy the Magic of the Moment -- a New Release for Crafty Sentiments

It's New Release week at Crafty Sentiments Designs.  This is day 2 of 4. You can check out each day's releases on the Crafty Sentiments Inspirations blog.

Today, I happily introduce to you 'Patsy & Gizmo - Bubble Bath'.  This is a rubber stamp, available on July 9 in the Crafty Sentiments Designs Store

Don't these 2 look like they are having fun?  They are definitely enjoying the moment!

I colored Patsy & Gizmo - Bubble Bath with Copic markers.  I especially had fun with the bubbles!

I found what I thought would look like a bubble background using a Spellbinders die.  The sentiment is a stamp from Whimsical Designs. The colored image is cut out with a stitched die from Lawn Fawn.  The rhinestones at the top (hopefully looking like water to the card viewer) are from Close To My Heart.

I enjoyed the magic of coloring this new rubber stamp from Crafty Sentiments Designs, and I hope you will, too!  Check out the other new releases, then do some shopping in the Crafty Sentiments Store

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

A Taste of Summer Blog Hop

Lisa D. from Décosse's Dynamite Doodles is this month's

She created a brand new digital kit to mark the occasion and asked several

We've all come together to celebrate this event by bringing you a blog hop
featuring projects made with items from Lisa's brand new digital kit called...

 A TASTE OF SUMMER

If you are arriving here from Suze's blog, you are right on track!
If you are just starting, you can find a full list of all the hop stops at the bottom of this post.

To kick off the event, Lisa is providing a free summer themed
word art creation that you can find on her blog.
Comment at EACH stop along the hop for your chance to win
the full digital kit as shown in the preview above.
One lucky person will also have the chance to win a
1 year subscription to the TTCRD Magazine!
Please be sure to head to Lisa's blog to read the full details
on how to qualify for both of these prizes!

For a chance at winning the Patterned Papers section of this kit...

Simply leave a comment on this post and be a follower of my blog!

You have until 11:59 p.m. EDT on Friday, July 8th, to submit your
comments for a chance to win one of the above mentioned prizes.

For the hop today, I used 3 different portions of Lisa's kit -- A Taste of Summer Elements, 2 papers from A Taste of Summer Natural Textured papers, and 2 patterned papers from A Taste of Summer Patterned papers.

I cut this card shape out on my Silhouette Cameo, with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store.   The fish and backing layer were cut out with a Lawn Fawn stitched die.  The sentiment is from a Joy's Life Pun in the Sun sentiment set, cut out with a Spellbinders die.  Some sequins from Close To My Heart finished up the card.

Next stop on the blog hop route is Pat's blog.  Click HERE to head there now!

If you miss any of the stops along the way, here is the complete list. You are definitely going to want to check out what my fellow hoppers have in store for you:

Joy to the World -- for the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up

July first!  Wow!  This year is flying by.  Christmas will be here before we know it.  That's why I'm trying to get a Christmas card or 2 made each month.  It's such a great feeling to have one on my blog on the first of each month for the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up.  The optional theme this month is Christmas Blooms.

The sponsors this month are:

I used the Prissy Poinsettia digi from Robyn's Fetish and Christmas Blooms papers from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles to create this:

I colored the Prissy Poinsettia image with Copic markers, then sponged some Tim Holtz Distress ink in Spun Sugar around the edge.  I used a Die-namics cross stitched die to cut it out.  The die behind it is from Top Dog dies.  The sentiment is from Close To My Heart.

Link up any Christmas card you make this month at the 12 Months of Christmas.  Link up 2 cards to be eligible to win one of the Christmas Blooms papers.  Use the optional theme to be eligible for the Robyn's Fetish prize.  Woohoo!  Great prizes!  One month to win!  Get going!

Sunshine Everyday -- for Oddball Art Challenge Blog

It's time for some mid-challenge inspiration on the Oddball Art Challenge blog.  The challenge theme this time is, "Here Comes the Sun."  We want to see a sun somewhere on the project.  The challenge runs from June 15-July 14, so there's still plenty of time!

I got out my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens and a water brush to create this:

I used Sunny Bunny #200.  The sentiment comes with the adorable image, and there are some other great sentiments with the set, too.

I cut the sun out on my Silhouette Cameo with a file from the Silhouette Design Store.  The sequins are from Craftin' Desert Divas.

It's Strawberry Season!

It's Tuesday, and that means it's time for a new challenge at Crafty Sentiments Challenge Blog!  This week's theme is always a favorite -- Anything Goes!  You've got to join us!

Here in NW Wisconsin where I live, the strawberries are just coming into season.  There are a number of places to pick strawberries, and the local patch brings pails of berries to town most days for those of us too busy to pick and we buy the ready picked.  It is a glorious time of year!  Berries for breakfast, berries for lunch!  Berries made into jam, berries made into pie.  We love our strawberry season!

This Isobel - Strawberry Fairy rubber stamp from Crafty Sentiments Designs, is a fitting tribute to all things good about strawberries.  She is as sweet as strawberries!

I colored the Isobel - Strawberry Fairy  rubber stamp with Copic markers.  The card base is a cutting file from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons, cut out on my Silhouette Cameo.  The designer papers and card stock are from Close To My Heart.  The crinkle ribbon and lace are from 3 Girl JAM.  I used a Spellbinders die to cut out the rubber stamp.

I hope you can join us this week for our Anything Goes challenge at Crafty Sentiments Challenge Blog.  We've got great prizes, and I'd love to see what you make!
