It's a month-long celebration! with 3 Girl JAM

3 Girl JAM is 2 years old, and the whole month of September is a celebration.  I thought I'd get in party mode with my post today.  It's a warm-up for tomorrow's blog hop! Party, party, party!

I cut out this purse-shaped card on my Silhouette.  It is a file from The Cutting Café.  Isn't it adorable?  The stamped sentiments are a Unity Itty Bitty. The designer papers are from DCWV --The Black Currant Stack. The ribbon flower is, of course, from 3 Girl JAM. It is Tuxedo from the Celebration Bundle.  There's also a fabric covered button from Pinque Peacock to really dress up this purse. Because every girl needs a fancy purse to take to the party, right?
Want to know what's inside the purse?

There you go! Your own personal invitation to the month-long party! Come back tomorrow for more celebrating with 3 Girl JAM! There'll be lots of prizes to win and inspiration galore!

Hello, Friend -- for The Cutting Cafe

I am so very excited today to be sharing my first design team project for The Cutting Café.  You'll be seeing creations just about every week while I'm on this design team, so stay tuned for lots of great files and printable stamps.  Regina, the owner of The Cutting Café, totally rocks.  I can't believe her creativity.  You'll love what she has us creating as the weeks go by.  This first week, we could make whatever we wanted, using whatever files and printables we fancied.  I was a little overwhelmed. Look around The Cutting Café for yourself.  There is a little bit of everything! I decided to start out with a pretty basic shape until I got the hang of things, and then I'll pick up steam as I go (or at least that's the plan!)

I used the Ribbon Sentiments and Banner Set and Shaped Card to make this card. I cut it out on my Silhouette.  I really like the shape of this card and can see myself using it often.  I like the larger size of it.  There's a bigger canvas to work on there. The file comes with many printable sentiments and ribbons, including some that look like washi tape. The "Hello Friend" is printed from this set.
There's no end of things you could make with this one set alone!
I used Close To My Heart Clementine 12x12 papers and bling, and some ribbon from my stash that matched perfectly.
I hope you enjoyed my first project for The Cutting Café. Don't forget to visit the rest of the design team to view their awesome work.
I'll be back tomorrow for a post for Pinque Peacock. Thursday , I have 2 posts: 1 for 3 Girl JAM and 1 for Get Inky! Stamps. Then, on Friday, I'm hopping with the entire talented 3 Girl JAM design team.  We're starting a month-long celebration.  3 Girl JAM is 2 years old.  Join in the fun -- there's lots of prizes to win -- including a gift certificate from The Cutting Café!
Thanks for stopping by!

Back to School -- with Joy's Life

It's time for school here in my town, and it's also the start of my 2nd term with the Joy's Life design team.  We've got some great Fall/Winter ideas coming up, so stay tuned!
I'm also starting on the Cutting Cafe design team, and I think these two teams are going to compliment each other brilliantly.  Today is the perfect example!

Isn't this Bus-shaped card fun? It's from The Cutting Café.  And, of course, this sentiment from the Joy's Life stamp set, Punny Animals, works perfectly on this card.

I used Echo Park Dots and Stripes DP on this card, along with Close To My Heart Whisper and Black card stock. The sentiment is stamped in CTMH black ink. The card was cut out using my Silhouette Cameo. CTMH journal pens are used for the black faux stitching, and a white gel pen for the white faux stitching.
Wouldn't it be fun to tuck in a lunch box on the first day of school, or leave on your favorite teacher's desk?
I'll be back tomorrow for my first official Cutting Café design team project.  I'd love it if you stopped by for another visit!

Every Girl Needs a Pretty Purse - for Pinque Peacock

Happy Labor Day, everyone! Have you hit the stores for any good sales? How about the Pinque Peacock Store? There's lots of pretties to be found at great prices!
And, here's the perfect purse to carry with you on your next shopping spree!

It is a purse shaped treat box from The Cutting Café.  You can find the file HERE. It comes with a matching purse shaped card that just might show up on this blog later this week (hint, hint,)
I used a Pinque Peacock Chevy Metal cloth covered button to really make that ribbon flower pop.  The ribbon is 3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon from the Celebrations bundle and the Spooky bundle.
And, here's the other side of this fabulous purse.

Don't you just love that sentiment? Who knew Bo Derek was so full of wisdom?
All the stamped sentiments are from Unity Stamp Company and Close To My Heart.  The paper is from DCWV.
That's all for me today, now use your purses and go SHOP at the Pinque Peacock store!

Well, dog-gone it!

We've "gone to the dogs" this week with the Joy's Life design team.
My husband and I are deliberating whether or not to add another dog to our house, so this card seems most appropriate right now:

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out this fun card, found in the Silhouette store here, and the Joy's Life Stamp set, Punny Animals. There are so dog-gone many cute sentiments included with this set!

I also used papers from Echo Park's "Walk in the Park" 12x12 collection.  It somehow seemed appropriate for a dog card, don't you think? The bling on the eye is from Close To My Heart.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope it's a dog-gone good one for you.

A winner for Friends With Flair!

Happy Friday, everyone! And a long weekend for those of us in the U.S.  Yea!  Craft on!  I hope to spend at least some of my extra day off with ink on my fingers.  Can't wait!
I had some blog candy to give away on my blog last weekend, and I decided to save the winner until today, since this is the post with the most readers all week.  I used random.org to select the winner from comments on the Joy's Life blog hop post.  Comment #26, Sue D, said, "This turned out amazing!!".  Sue D, I have your email address, so I will be in touch!
Now, onto today's card, using the Unity stamp set, Gossip, Hot-Flashes & Crazy.  I'm at that stage in life where this card in real life hits a little close to home, but that's why it's so fun:

Yeah, I'm afraid so.  You gotta admit.  It's pretty cute, though, hunh?
Enjoy your weekend!

It's Been Fun! With Sweet Stamps

Greetings, all my crafty friends.  August is fast coming to a close, which means my month of guest designing for Sweet Stamps is ending.  I have enjoyed it very much!  I have one final card on the Sweet Stamps blog today. This week's challenge is a birthday challenge.  Everyone needs a supply of birthday cards, so make one and enter the challenge!  I used several Sweet Stamps on this card, including my favorite butterflies.  Here's what I made:

I used one of the Artsy Fartsy stamps (AF4), "French Calligraphy" to create the background layer on this card, my favorite "Fanciful Butterflies" set (S600), and "Fancy Birthday Stacked" (9099D) for the Sweet Stamps images. The doily is also from the Sweet Stamps store. It is a Cheery Lynn die, Eastern Star (DL230).  It cuts beautifully!  Designer papers are My Mind's Eye The Sweetest Thing Bluebell 6x6. The ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM and the stick pins are by Close To My Heart.  I made the butterflies by heat embossing with clear embossing powder on Outdoor Denim card stock, then mixing various Perfect Pearls colors with water and painting it on.  The embossed areas resist the paint mixture.  I love the effect. The card is on a CTMH Outdoor Denim card stock base. I think this would be an enjoyable birthday card to receive, how about you?
