It's a month-long celebration! with 3 Girl JAM

3 Girl JAM is 2 years old, and the whole month of September is a celebration.  I thought I'd get in party mode with my post today.  It's a warm-up for tomorrow's blog hop! Party, party, party!

I cut out this purse-shaped card on my Silhouette.  It is a file from The Cutting Café.  Isn't it adorable?  The stamped sentiments are a Unity Itty Bitty. The designer papers are from DCWV --The Black Currant Stack. The ribbon flower is, of course, from 3 Girl JAM. It is Tuxedo from the Celebration Bundle.  There's also a fabric covered button from Pinque Peacock to really dress up this purse. Because every girl needs a fancy purse to take to the party, right?
Want to know what's inside the purse?

There you go! Your own personal invitation to the month-long party! Come back tomorrow for more celebrating with 3 Girl JAM! There'll be lots of prizes to win and inspiration galore!

Three Favorites for Your Next Stamp

Your Next Stamp is having a DT call!  And I'm excited! Some of my friends on Cropchocolate.com first got me interested in YNS.  But, I was hooked when a gal posted an adorable card using this stamp set:

And, what's so special about this stamp? Well, YNS designed it just for her.  She asked for a stamp that made a young boy look "spiffy cool", not nerdy.  And they did it.  I thought right then, "I'd love to work for a company like that."  So, here I am, submitting three of my favorite cards, and applying for their new digital design team.  Wish me luck!

This first card uses a Penny Black stamp and Echo Park Dots & Stripes papers.  I colored it with Copic Markers.

This second card, using a Sparkle Creations image and sentiment, is also colored with Copic markers.  It uses Amy Tangerine Sketchbook 6x6 papers, and 3 Girl JAM Cherry Lipstick ribbon.  I sponged Tim Holtz distress ink (Spun Sugar) on the image while it was still in the Spellbinders Gold die.

And, I'm showcasing this third card for 2 reasons. First, it uses a digi stamp.  I want to show that yes, I can work with digis.  I use them often in my work.  Second, I really, really like how this card turned out.  It uses Fancy Pants Park Bench 12x12 paper, American Crafts glitter paper (I think -- I've had it forever), a digi from Sassy Studio Designs for the image and Unity Stamps for the sentiment.  Three Girl JAM ribbon and a Pinque Peacock stick pin finish off the card.  The sassy image is colored with Copic markers.

I'm keeping my fingers crosses and saying a little prayer that Your Next Stamps likes my work.

Birthday Wishes -- with Get Inky! Stamps

I hope everyone is enjoying their Friday!  I have a quick post, sharing this card I have on the Get Inky! Stamps blog today. We're having a Christmas in July and Birthday Challenge.  I made a shaped birthday card for inspiration, using my Silhouette.

The stamp set I used is "Sew Sweet Cupcakes by Get Inky! Stamps. Both the paper pieced cupcake and the sentiment are from the set.  I found this shaped card in the Silhouette store. It is this file, if you are interested. The crinkle ribbon is 3 Girl JAM London Blue, from the Wine and Jewels bundle.  Come link up your Christmas in July and birthday creations at the Get Inky! challenge blog.  There's fun prizes to win!

You are FABULOUS! for 3 Girl JAM

If you are looking for the Cameo Challenge "2 Shades of Blue" post, please click HERE!

I'm have a post on the 3 Girl JAM blog today, and it's all about being fabulous!  Some of you may know I was at a scrapbooking retreat last Thursday-Sunday with some ladies I met online.  They took me on my first ever trip to Hobby Lobby.  One of the things I bought was a 6x6 paper pad I'd never seen before.  Upon return to the retreat house, I immediately set about making a card, using two of my favorite products -- 3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon, and Unity stamps.  Here's what I was inspired to make:

I kept it CAS (clean and simple), so the image and the ribbon would be the focus. The ribbon is Baby Pink from the 3 Girl JAM Baby Bundle.  The stamp set is a Unity/Ippity Itty Bitty Fabulous Girl . The 6x6 pad is Simple Stories Vintage Bliss. The brad is Fancy Pants, from the Good Life collection.  The washi tape is from my stash.
I have some blog candy to give away again this weekend.  I'm hopping on Saturday with the Joy's Life design team.  I have some markers, stickers, brads, and bling to give away.  To increase your chances of winning, comment on my posts from today (there are two), tomorrow, and Saturday (three posts on Saturday).

Oh Happy Day! With All That Stickles

For the Craft Lovin' Challenge Blog post, please Click here.

It's time for some mid-term inspiration on the All That Stickles blog, and several of the design team members have great projects featured. Our linky party color is True Blue Stickles.  So, I used it all over this card (along with Glam Pink and Yellow Stickles).

There's a lot going on with the card.  I used papers from one of our sponsors this month -- The Robin's Nest. I liked how they were glittery, just like the Stickles.

The image is a digi stamp I won from The Paper Nest called "Birthday Avery". Isn't she the sweetest?  She is colored with Copic markers. I used the 3 Stickle colors on the present, balloons, Avery's dress, and her hat. I placed the square image on a Spellbinder die cut paper. There are two colors of 3 Girl JAM ribbon on the card -- latte, from the coffee bundle and London blue from the Wine & Jewels bundle.  I used more of the 3 Stickles colors on star chipboard from UmWow Studio.  And last, but certainly not least, the sentiment is from Whimsical Designs. This is the Whimsical fun - Vol. 1 set.
Come join our True Blue linky party. You have until July 19.  Then, come back and join the All That Stickles design team for a Surf, Sand, and Stickles blog hop on Sunday, July 21.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Fun with a Sun - for Get Inky! Stamps

Happy Friday, everyone! It's my turn to post on the Get Inky! blog, and our theme is Summer Sun Fun. I've had this idea swirling around in my head for quite some time, and finally got to put it on to paper (and ink!). I'll show it to you first, then tell you how I did it:

I used glossy cardstock for my base, got out my brayer (I hardly ever use that thing), some multi colored ink called Kaleidacolor by Tsukineko, and brayered my background to make the sky. I wiped it off with a baby wipe while it was still wet to tone it down just a bit. Next, I needed a sun.  I turned to my trusty Lifestyle Crafts circle dies and cut out two of them that were very close in size to make the ring.  Then, I cut out a smaller, yellow circle for the middle.  Using Lemon Tart Trendy Twine and daffodil 3 Girl JAM ribbon cut in 1/2 the long way, I tied them around the ring. The Get Inky! Stamp set, "Buzzing Bees" was used for the bees, the trail, and the sentiment.  It is a very fun set to design with!  I used Close To My Heart black archival ink on the bees and sentiment. And, that's my Summer Sun Fun card.  Come join us at the Get Inky! Challenge with your own summer themed project.
