Love You -- for Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps

It's my day to post on the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration & Challenge Blog. Our theme all month is "All You Need is Love".  There is a blog challenge going on using that theme, and we'd love to have you join us!

For my inspiration card this week, I used the lovely image, Love is In the Air, colored with Spectrum Noir Tricolor Brush markers.

The lovely heart border was a die I found in my stash, and I have forgotten who it is by.  I think perhaps, it's by Technique Tuesday, but I'm not sure. The "Love You" sentiment is by Spellbinders.

We have challenges both on the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration & Challenge Blog, and In the CCK Facebook Group.  I'd love to see you linked up at either -- or both.  You'll find lots of wonderful images that fit our "All You Need is Love" theme in the GJZCCK Etsy Shop.

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Christmas in July -- for Dies R Us Challenges

It's the 15th of the month, and that means a new challenge starts today on the Dies R Us Challenge Blog. The theme is Christmas in July.  It's always good to get a jump on Christmas cards, right? RIGHT! All you need to do is use at least 1 die by a brand sold in the Dies R Us Store, and you are good to enter.

I found a beautiful die by Cheery Lynn in the Dies R Us Store called Elegant Evergreen Christmas Tree, and I just knew I wanted to use it on my cards this year:

I cut out the Elegant Evergreen Christmas Tree using a green foil paper.  Behind it is a doily that I just love by Prima Marketing.  It's very similar to this Lace Rose Doily in the Dies R Us Store. The gold star at the top of the tree is one of a nested set by Technique Tuesday, but it is similar to this set by Tutti Designs.

The designer papers on this card are by We Are 3 Digital Shop.  I used 3 papers from the Christmas Fun papers

Christmas in July -- a very fun theme for the next 2 weeks!  I really hope you join us!  We give away a $10 gift certificate each challenge, plus some designer choice awards.  Come join us!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Make America Strong -- for Jan's Digi Stamps Challenges

I'm posting a bit of reminder inspiration for Jan's Digi Stamps Challenges today.  Challenges now last an entire month.  The current challenge started June 1, and will run through June 30. Independence Day will soon be upon us, so that was what was on my mind when I created this card for today's post:

I combined two different Jan Mayhew sets on this card -- Independence Day Friends and Patriotic Boy.  The red fireworks, the blue fireworks, and the sentiment are from the Independence Day Friends set.  The flags are from the Patriotic Boy set. I used the pre-colored versions of all of these.

I cut the star shaped card base out on my Silhouette Cameo 3 with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store.  The rest of the stars were cut out with a set of dies from Technique Tuesday.

Come join us at Jan's Digi Stamps Challenges for our Anything Goes Challenge.  You can link up whatever you are working on.  I'd love to see it, and we have great prizes you can win!

You Did It! for Dies R Us Challenge Blog

It's the 15th of the month, so it's time for a new challenge at Dies R Us Challenge Blog. Every challenge runs for 2 weeks, and it has a theme.  The theme that starts today is, "Graduation/Congratulations".

I truly feel sorry for this year's graduating classes.  They are missing out on many opportunities because if this pandemic.  No large gatherings tend to put a damper in graduation festivities!

I do know some graduation seniors from the local high school, and I've been making them cards.  We can at least acknowledge them with handmade cards (and of course CASH!)

Here's my card for today's challenge:

The focal point of this card -- the "You Did It" sentiment, is from Frantic Stamper.  The school colors here are purple and white, so I mounted the You Did It on purple card stock, and cut the lettering on white. The stars are by Technique Tuesday, but these stars from Amy Design would work equally as well.

There are other great project from the Dies R Us Challenge team that I hope you take time to study and enjoy, and I hope they inspire you to create a graduation/congratulations themed project of your own. One $10 gift certificate will be awarded and 3 designer choice awards.

.Dies R Us now has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
As you like It -- Favorite color to pair with purple (I paired gold as it is the school colors)

You are Ear-resistable! for SheepSki Designs

February 1!  The start of a new month, and the start of a new challenge at SheepSki Designs Challenge Blog! The challenge will run all month, and the theme is hearts &/or flowers.

I love wildlife.  We live in a very wooded area, and can see deer, fox, rabbits, even bear on any given day.  I'm quite sure that Rocket & Rosie met and fell in love right in my front yard!

I colored Rocket & Rosie with Copic markers.  The sentiment is part of an acrylic stamp set from Technique Tuesday that seemed th fit these 2 very well!

I made the heart shaped card base from a heart shaped die and a background paper from AMB Illustrations.  Both heart shaped dies and the small ones used for embellishments are from a company no longer in business.

Hearts &/or flowers.  Its a great theme for February, and you'll find many wonderful images that fit this theme in the SheepSki Designs Etsy Shop.   Color one up and enter the blog challenge.  You'll find another monthly challenge in the SheepSki Designs Facebook Group.

Happy New Year! for Dies R Us Inspiration Blog

I'm posting today for the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog, where I get to wrap up a great year of crafting, and wish everyone a happy new year!

What better way to toast in the New Year than with a little bubbly?

That darling focal point is from Tutti Designs.  It's Champagne Flutes. I thought it was perfect for New Year's Eve, but it's actually good for any festive occasion -- birthdays, weddings, anniversaries.  It has many uses.

Here is a picture of all the supplies I used on this card:

The star border on the side of the card is from Technique Tuesday, but this one from Frantic Stamper would work equally as well. The larger stars were cut out from dies by Spellbinders.

Supplies used on this card found in the Dies R Us Store:

The papers and sentiment are from Kaisercraft.

I wish you a happy and safe new year, and here's one more view of my card:

I hope you check this blog every day for wonderful inspiration!  The design team is so creative, you don't want to miss anything.  Then, join in the challenges at the Dies R Us Challenge Blog.  Here's one last link to the Dies R Us Store for you, too!

Don't Let Life Ruffle Your Feathers -- for Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez

I'm posting today for Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez.  I have a darling new release digi to show you today.  It was SO much fun to color up!

This is rooster

I colored Rooster with Copic markers.  I Googled photos of roosters, and there's lots of options for how to color up roosters.  They are very colorful birds!

The sentiment on this card is from Technique Tuesday and is an acrylic stamp.  The papers were found at Pixel Scrapper.  They are part of the Petting Zoo collection.

The Outlawz Crash Your Stash Challenge is having a photo corners challenge this month.  I don't own any photo corners, so I added my "homemade" one in the corner of this picture.   I will enter this in that challenge.

Thanks So Stinkin' Much -- for SheepSki Designs

It's August 1st, so it's time for a new challenge at SheepSki Designs Challenge Blog.  This month, the theme is one of my favorites - Animal Madness!  I love animals, so when I get to make a card with an animal, it makes me happy!

For today's challenge, I used SheepSki Designs digi, Lil' Skunk, to create this:

I colored Lil' Skunk with Copic markers, working hard on this shades of black!

I found this twisted easel card file in the Silhouette Design Store and thought it would be cute for this Lil' Skunk to be displayed on. I used my Silhouette Cameo 3 to cut it out.  The sentiment is from an acrylic stamp by Technique Tuesday.   The red diamond paper and the blue card stock are from Close To My Heart. The flower brads are from my stash. I used a Spellbinders die to cut out Lil' Skunk.

You'll find many wonderful designs in the SheepSki Designs Etsy Shop that will work for this month's fun Animal Madness theme.  Check out the shop here, then join in the challenge!  I'd love to see what you create!

I colored the Happy Fish digital stamp with Copic markers, then fussy cut it.  I made the background with distress oxide inks.  The sentiment is from a set I got at Technique Tuesday.  The background paper with the fins is a mermaid paper from the Silhouette Design Store.

No Goats, No Glory! - an All Dressed Up New Release

Today is a fun day!  I'm playing in a string trio at a wedding today (I'm the pianist).  I've known the young man getting married since he was in grade school.  He's now in med school.  Oh, I feel old at times!

Today's a fun day!  It's the day that this month's New Releases at All Dressed Up Stamps are showcased in the All Dressed Up Facebook Group.  There are some wonderful ones -- again!

Today's a fun day!  I had so much fun coloring Billy Goat and designing this card:

I colored Billy Goat with Copic markers. The sentiment is part of a Technique Tuesday acrylic stamp set.  Those fun papers, with a bit of a farm-like feel, are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are the Howdy papers

The other new releases (there are 4 of them) will all be showcased in the All Dressed Up Facebook Group today.  I hope you take a look, and I hope you enter this month's challenge - the theme is "for the boys".

Wine O'Clock Birthday Wishes -- for Sasayaki Glitter

It's the 15th of the month, and that means it's time to feature Oldies but Goodies at Sasayaki Glitter Stamps. We're re-visiting The Boys this month, and I chose to color up and create with Wine O'Clock

Wine O'Clock reminds me of that saying, "it's 5 O'Clock somewhere!".  I colored Wine O'Clock with Copic markers, and fussy cut it,  then set out to find some wine related papers to create with.  I found this wine glass paper at Pixel Scrapper.  The wine glass die cuts are a die from Technique Tuesday.  The tag behind Wine O'Clock is from Close To My Heart.  The banner that I stamped the sentiment on is from Diamond Press.

There will be other Oldie but Goodie boy images featured today at the Sasayaki Glitter Blog, so I hope you check it out here.  You'll find even more great inspiration in the Sasayaki Glitter Facebook Group

Believe In Your Dreams -- Guest Designing at The Outlawz

Happy Thursday, everyone!   The Outlawz is one of my favorite places to play.  They have challenges every single day, and I enter as often as I can.  I particularly like their Twisted Thursday Challenges, as I can try for the twist, or just go with the Anything Goes Theme.  So, when given a chance to guest design, I just have to say 'yes'!!  This is my first time guest designing for The Outlawz all year, so I better get busy!

The optional theme at Twisted Thursday for the next 2 weeks is "Hip to Be Square" (use 3 squares).  The sponsor this month is LeAnn's World

This is Benjamin, colored with Copic markers.  Spunky lil' fella, isn't he?  After coloring Benjamin, I set out to construct my card, following the Outlawz Twisted Thursday theme of using 3 squares. I found 3 square dies by Spellbinders that I thought would fit nicely on my card, and next, it was on to finding the right papers.

Papers are this card are a New Release from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  These are papers from the Moon Desert Collection.  I thought they worked well for a masculine card.

The sentiment is an acrylic stamp from Technique Tuesday.  The buttons, from my stash, seemed to stay with the masculine theme of the card.

"Hip to be Square" -- the optional theme at Twisted Thursday -- join in on the fun!  Plus, a big thanks to the Outlawz Twisted Thursday team for having me today!

Fairy Joy -- for the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up

It's a new month, and that means it's a new opportunity to get a Christmas card or 2 made for the 2019 Christmas season.  There's a new challenge that starts today at The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up

This month, the optional theme is 'Fairies'.  Our sponsor is A Day for Daisies.  To be eligible for the awesome prize, you must use a fairy somewhere on your card -- either in the image, in the papers, or as an embellishment.

I used the sweet Holly Berry Fairy:

I colored Holly Berry Fairy with Copic markers.

Papers on this card are from another of our awesome sponsors, Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.  Every month, Lisa creates papers for the challenge.  to be eligible to win one of them, enter 2 Christmas cards in a month. This month, of course, the papers have a fairy theme, but there are also 2 glitter papers, which I used on this card.

I cut out the card base on my Silhouette Cameo 3 with a file from the Silhouette Design Store.   The sentiment is an acrylic stamp from Technique Tuesday.

Are you working on your Christmas cards?  Then link them up at The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up, where this month's optional theme is "Fairies".

A Mouse For You -- and Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez

I love a good cup of tea!  I love a cute mouse, so why not put the 2 together?  That's what you have with this cute digi from Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez

This Mouse in Cup is a March New Release.  Adorable, isn't it?  I wouldn't really want to find that mouse in my tea, but it does make me smile!

I colored up Mouse in Cup with Copic markers, then fussy cut the image.  The papers on this card are digital, and were found at Pixel scrapper.  I thought the tea pots and tea cups, along with the sugar bowls and tea cozies, were a good match.  The sentiment is an acrylic stamp from Technique Tuesday that I found that was part of a Christmas set still on my desk.  Maybe it's time to clean?

Have you visited the Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez Store? There, you will find acrylic stamps, digital stamps, digital papers, a Zazzle shop, and more.  It is worth a trip!  There's also a Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez Facebook Group, with a monthly challenge, and for even more inspiration, visit the Kinda Cute blog

Love is a 4-Legged Word -- for All Dressed Up

It's February 1st, so that means a new challenge is starting in the Facebook group at All Dressed Up. For the month of February, the theme is, "All You Need is Love".

Nothing, to me, says love, like an animal, and particularly my dog. So, I colored up one of the many All Dressed Up digis that have a dog in them.

Here's Time for Walkies!

I colored up Time for Walkies with Copic markers, and computer generated the sentiment.

The pink paw print paper is from AMB Illustrations.  The hearts on the side die is from Technique Tuesday.  The glimmer trim is from Close To My Heart.

All Dressed Up has some of the best images to play with, and many of them can be used to fit the "All You Need is Love" theme.  I do hope you're able to join us for the All Dressed Up Facebook challenge this month!  There's also an All Dressed Up blog challenge to check out here.

Warm Wishes -- for Sasayaki Glitter Stamps

Greetings, fellow crafters!  Warm wishes are needed here in the Northland, where Winter has arrived very early.  We're having unseasonably cold temperatures, so all the holiday cards I'm making are right on cue!

I'm posting today for Sasayaki Glitter.  The Sasayaki Glitter Challenge Blog is having a reminder post.  The theme this month is 'travel'.  I've traveled all the way to the South Pole, with this adorable penguin, to send you Warm Wishes!

This is Candy Cane Penguin, found in the Sasayaki Glitter Etsy Shop.  I colored Candy Cane Penguin with Copic markers.

The papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  This is the Peppermint Paper Collection.  The sentiment is stamped on the card stock, with an acrylic stamp from Technique Tuesday.

I hope you can travel over to the Sasayaki Glitter Challenge blog and link up your travel-themed card yet this month.  There's still plenty of time, and Naz has some wonderful digis in her Etsy Shop that will fit the theme!

Sending Smiles -- Outlawz July Progressive Freebie

It's Saturday, and after the tragic loss of our beloved Gracie a couple weeks ago, we're heading a couple hours away to look for a new puppy.  We're looking at a male this time.  We can't even think about having a female spayed.
Gracie, 2017-2018
We loved that girl!  She was the dog I was going to go into retirement with.  Instead, she died 4 days after her one year birthday, and 3 weeks after I retired from a mistake the vet made during surgery.

These are 2 of the males from the new litter.  We'll have 5 to choose from.  We'll check them out today, at 5 weeks, and bring one home at 7 weeks.  No one can replace our Gracie, but the house is just too quiet, and there is room in our hearts for another dog.

But this is a blog primarily about paper crafts, and I have a card to post today.

I've been participating in the Outlawz monthly Progressive Freebie all year now.  This month's freebie is by SheepSki Designs, a team I happen to design for.  I love coloring Andrea's flowers!

This is Tulip Border, printed twice, and colored with Copics.  The tulip edger die is from Technique Tuesday.  The butterfly die is from Sizzix.   I stamped the sentiment on the card.  It is a stamp from a retired Close To My Heart set.

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Outlawz Progressive Freebie Challenge -- July

No Better Friend -- for QKR Stampede Challenge Blog

It's Friday again!  Hurray!  The weather is finally warming up a bit here in the Northland, and I'm hoping for my first Harley ride this weekend.  Yeah!  A true sign of summer.

Friday -- that means it's time for a new challenge at QKR Stampede Challenge Blog.  Every challenge every week is Anything Goes!  That means you have no excuse but to join us!

This week, I have a darling image that made, I think, a delightful card.  This is Springtime Bunny (Q-digi16104):

I colored Springtime Bunny with Copic markers, then used a Crafter's Companion Create-a-Card die set to make the easel card.  The sentiment is from a Technique Tuesday stamp set.  6x6 papers are from my stash.

I really hope you can join us this week (and every week) at QKR Stampede Challenge Blog.  We've got the greatest digis (like this one) that you can win for prizes.  Who wouldn't want to color up this cutie?!?  Come join the fun!!!

Flip Over Greeting Card Holder -- for Simply Crafty SVG's

It's Hump Day!  Wednesday, and I have the fun today of posting for Simply Crafty SVG's.  If you haven't checked out the store, you owe it to yourself.  There are lots of Freebies, more files being added all the time, and the SVG files cut and assemble beautifully (plus there are tutorials!)

Today, I'm showcasing the Flip Over Greeting Card Holder.  I love to make greeting cards, and I also love to give them as gifts, so I thought this box would be perfect to "gift" some of my cards to a good friend in:

I always think that it is the paper and embellishments that make the project.  These papers and die cuts are from Hot Off the Press.   They coordinate so well, don't they?

I stamped on the tag, and that was the hardest part of this whole project.  My ink kept smearing!  Regular ink smeared.  Archival ink smeared.  Finally, Staz On ink did the trick!  The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday.

This box comfortable holds 6 greeting cards and envelopes.  I think it will make a great gift, don't you?

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

D.L. Art -- March Linky Party
