Friends warm up even the coldest day -- for Crafty Sentiments

Hello, and happy Tuesday!  It's time for a new challenge at Crafty Sentiments Designs.  New Tuesday, new challenge.  Every week!  This week, the challenge is to use dies.  I think many of us have dies in our arsenal, so this should be easy. 

I used a digital stamp today.  This is 'Snowman Song', and I think these 2 are adorable!

I printed Snowman Song unto Kraft paper, then colored it with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils.  I love the look of colored pencils on Kraft!  The sentiment is from Close To My Heart.  The snowman background paper is digital.  It was found at Snap Click Supply.  It is a Lori Whitlock paper -- Frosty.  The card base, cut out on my Silhouette Cameo, is from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons.

Happy Easter, Happy Spring!

It's Saturday, the day before Easter.  It's a cool, rainy afternoon and I decided to make a couple tags to enter some challenges.  I am always charmed with Gerda Steiner images.  I used 2 of them for these tags: 

The 2 Gerda Steiner images I used were Nerdy but Nice on the first tag and Bunny with Carrot on the second tag.  Both digis were colored with Copic markers.  

Papers for these tags are digital.  They are found at Snap Click Supply and are Lori Whitlock's Easter Friends papers. 

I used some goodies I won in a challenge from Eyelet Outlet.   I used Pastel Rabbit Brads and 12 MM white/black jewels. 

Dies for these tags are from Craftin' Desert Divas and Paper Wishes.  Sentiments are from My Pink Stamper.  Fibers are from Close To My Heart.

I had a great time making these tags, being creative on a rainy afternoon.  Now, to make some supper!

Can it really be the 15th of August already?  Geez, I better get started on my Christmas cards, it'll be here before we know it.  Oh wait, I have gotten started on my Christmas cards, thanks to the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up!  Our theme this month is Snow People.  Our sponsor is The Stamping Boutique. Tracey has lots of adorable images, including great snowmen!

This digi is called 'Bring it on.' I colored the image with Copic markers, then used my Lifestyle Crafts circle dies to cut it out.  The card base is a cutting file from The Silhouette Design Store.  It's an A2 Pop Out Card by Lori Whitlock. 

Papers for this card are from Lisa Decosse of Decosses' Dynamite Doodles.   The wood sentiment is from Close To My Heart.

So Many Thanks!

Many of you know I work in a nursing home.  Sometimes, I care for the same residents for many years.  I can get very close to them and their families.  Losing them is hard, and losing the connections with their families can be hard, too.

Recently, 2 former family members gifted me with a fantastic remembrance of their parents (both died at our facility, but lived there for several years together).  These 2 sister-in-laws are quilters.  They made me a queen size quilt for my bed, using my favorite colors, and even incorporating in two of my favorite Bible verses.  Yes, strong bonds truly are formed through the years.

 

In return for this overwhelming gift, I wanted to make two very special thank you cards, with a quilt theme to them.  I broke out four of my favorite things and started crafting.

1. 3 Girl JAM ribbon
2. Silhouette Cameo
3. Unity Stamps
4. Pinque Peacock stick pins 

Here are the two similar, but not identical cards I made:

 

 

The ribbon is 3 Girl JAM ribbon from the Spooky Bundle.

The file I used is from the Silhouette Store. It is called a wedding ring card by Lori Whitlock.  I love her designs.  The papers are by Echo Park This & That Graceful 12x12's. The bases are Close To My Heart champagne cardstock.  The sentiment is from the Unity stamp set, Happy Everything.  And those two gorgeous stick pins? Those are from my friend, Jessica, at Pinque Peacock.

I had a great time putting my heart into these cards, knowing these two ladies had put their hearts into the quilt they made for me.  I will treasure it always!
