It's nowhere near Valentine's Day, but anytime is the right time to say, "I love you." I like to give my sweetie sentimental cards "just because." I'm a card maker. My husband should get a few of my creations, right?
Well, this one is for the hubs, for no special occasion at all, besides he's a special guy.
This card uses Flamingo Couple from Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez, colored with Shinhan markers. I was trying out some new (for me) alcohol markers, and I don't have too many color choices of Shinhan Touch Twin markers, so my shading on the Flamingo Couple is pretty limited.
I found a lot of digital flamingo paper, but finding some with brown in it to match those cattails proved a challenge. I found this at Imagine That! Digistamp. It's from the Tropical Breeze digital paper collection. The pink ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
There are many cute and fabulous stamps in the Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez Store. Check it out and do some shopping for yourself! Check out the Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez Facebook Group, too, for a monthly challenge, more inspiration, and FUN!

Flower Hi... A Bugaboo Stamps New Release
The Bugaboo Stamps team is back from their August break, and Jodie is on a roll with New Releases in the Bugaboo Stamps Store. This is the second week in a row with some super cute new releases to share with everyone. This awesome Flower Hi was super easy to create with. Just my style!
This Flower Hi block was colored with some new markers for me -- ShinHan Touch Twin alcohol markers. I purchased them from Close To My Heart. I love the fine point on them, but there are not a lot of color choices for blending. I used Distress Oxide inks in the background.
I used the sketch from this week's Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge:
The designer papers on this card are from We Are 3. They are from the Ladybug Lace collection. The lemon twine is from Timeless Twine, and the buttons have long since been retired, from Close To My Heart.
I hope you visit the Catch the Bug blog often for inspiration, Oldies but Goodies, the Friday Freebie, Anything But a Card, challenges, and so much more! Check out the Bugaboo Stamps Fan Group on Facebook, too!

Amour -- for DigiStamps4Joy
It's Wednesday, and time for some mid-challenge inspiration at DigiStamps4Joy. The theme this challenge is "Anniversary". There are many great digis that fit this theme in the DigiStamps4Joy store.
Here's my take on the Anniversary theme:
I used the DigiStamps4Joy digi, "Flower Frame" on this card. I colored it with ShinHan Touch Twin markers.
The designer papers and glitter ribbon are from Paper Wishes. The "Amour" sentiment, die cut hearts, and glitter tape are from Close To My Heart.
Check out the other wonderful projects from this super talented design team, and then make your own 'anniversary' themed project. You have until October 14th.

Life is Fragile...Handle with Prayer
It's Monday, and time for a new challenge at Eureka Stamps. This week, the theme is "Inspirational" -- always a good theme! Here's my card for this week's challenge at Eureka Stamps.
I used the digi stamp Butterfly Background (digi58501) and colored it with ShinHanTouch Twin Markers. Oh my, such a fun background stamp! The coloring possibilities are endless!
The sentiment is digi stamp number digi9803. I wrapped a little Lemonade Yellow Timeless Twine on the sentiment, mounted the background stamp onto a Creme Brulee Close To My Heart card stock for the card base, and my inspirational card is done!
I hope you enter our inspirational challenge this week at Eureka Stamps!

It's New -- for DigiStamps4Joy
It's Wednesday, and time for some mid-challenge inspiration on the DigiStamps4Joy blog. This challenge' theme is "new" -- new baby, new home, new career. I stretched it a bit, and used a new cutting die, a new digi, and some new alcohol ink markers on my card. They were new to me, hence fitting the "new" category.
I used two DigiStamps4Joy digis on this card, "Flower Corner" (a new-to-me digi) and one of the "Blessing Sentiments" (there are 4 in this set).
The corner butterfly die is new, and I was so excited to try it out on a card. It is by Cheery Lynn. The butterfly was cut out on my Silhouette. I colored the Flower Corner Digi with ShinHan Touch Twin alcohol markers. All cardstock is from Close To My Heart. I used a Close To My Heart 1/4 inch and 1/2 inch corner rounder throughout the card.
Come enter the DigiStamps4Joy "new" challenge. You have until Tuesday, August 19th.

Kind of Wonderful
It's Sunday, and that means there are new releases at DigiStamps4Joy. There are some spectacular new releases today, so make sure and check out the store!
I love frames! Add a quick dash of color, stamp a sentiment, add some paper and embellishments, and you have a card. I chose to work with just such a frame today:
The new digi I used, released today, is called "Flower Circle." With very little effort, I was able to size it so I could cut it with a Lifestyle Crafts die, and then cut another slightly larger circle with a die one size larger. And, that is the one of the joys of digis -- being able to alter the size to fit my dies, instead of needing to buy more dies to fit my stamps!
I also sized it large enough to use this quote from Close To My Heart, because I really like it. I colored the image with ShinHan Touch Twin markers.
I won the designer paper at a LSS crop night over a year ago and no longer remember who's it is. Maybe Fancy Pants? The corregated sheet is from Fancy Pants.
I got these Skittles a while ago from a friend, but had never used them. I thought it was time! Skittles finish off the card.
Don't forget to check out the DigiStamps4Joy blog for other great inspiration using today's new releases!

Real Friends Listen with Their Hearts -- for Fitztown
After guest designing for Fitztown for several months, I've been asked to stay on the team, and I couldn't be happier! This is a great group to work with, and some super images to design with!
Today starts a new challenge on the Fitztown Challenge blog, and the theme is always popular -- Anything Goes.
I used 2 of my favorite images on this card:
The flower is a new Fitztown image, found in the MorgansFaeWorld Etsy Shop, called Flower Set (6 flowers). The butterfly is Garden 16, and is part of a collection of 6 butterflies.
I have some new ShinHan Touch Twin Markers I am experimenting with, and I used them on both the flower and butterfly. Here's a closeup of both of the images:
The sentiment is a stamp from Close To My Heart. Designer papers are from the My Mind's Eye Vanity Fair 6x6 pad. Ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM. This is Tuxedo, from the Celebrations Bundle. The pearl stick pin is from Pinque Peacock. I also used a We R Memory Keepers Scallop Corner Chomper on this.
Come join the Anything Goes challenge, and check out the awesome inspiration from the Fitztown Creative Team.

Bling it On! for Delightful Challenges
It's Thursday, and time for a new challenge at Delightful Challenges blog. This week, the theme is "Bling it On". I'm not always one to use a lot of bling on my card, but I tried to go heavy on the bling this week!
I used a stamp from The Flower Set on this card, and a sentiment from the "Spring Sentiment Set"
I have some new ShinHan Touch Twin markers, and this is the first I've tried them. I used them on the flowers. There's also some Stickles to make them sparkly. I used some glitter paper to bling the card up a bit more, and some rhinestones from Close To My Heart.
This week's challenge is sponsored by Cut N Paste Memories.
Bling up a project, and link it up at Delightful challenges. You have all week!
