I had an extra day off on Monday, and it gave me time to get my monthly free image colored up for the Outlawz Progressive Freebie Challenge. This month, the sponsor is PPinky Dolls Art. Yea! That makes me very happy as I always love coloring her images!
My mother-in-law's birthday is in a couple weeks. The image has a cat in it. She's a cat lover. So, it became a birthday card:
I colored the PPinky Dolls Art image with Copic markers. The card base was cut out on my Silhouette Cameo with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store. I used several Spellbinders dies to cut out the image and back it. Papers were a combination of digital (Michele R Designs) and 12x12 (Heartfelt Creations). The crystals are from Prima.
I hope you enjoy my creation, but mostly, I hope my MIL does!

I have this blog as a place to share my creative self -- be it card making, music playing, scrapbooking, altered art, home decor, or whatever direction my art takes me. My dogs are always a part of my home life, so they have to be a part of my blog, too.

Happy Spring -- for Star Stampz
Happy St. Patrick's Day! There's no Irish in me, but we're celebrating big time at the nursing home today. Irish music, green beer, corned beef and cabbage. Lots of wearin' of the green. Great fun!!
Today is also the start of a new challenge at Star Stampz Challenge blog. Our theme for the next 2 weeks is "think spring.". I'm really liking this, as we've had 2 days of rain that is now turning to snow. I'm ready for some warm spring sunshine!
This lovely spring image is Star Stampz "Spring Flower", found in the Etsy Store.
I colored Spring Flower with Copic markers, then used a variety of dies from Ecstasy Crafts (image and directly behind it) and Spellbinders (card base and matching layer). Papers for this card are digital -- Perfect Petals by Michele R Designs. The crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM.
I hope you can join in for our Think Spring challenge at Star Stampz Challenge Blog -- you have 2 weeks! Please join the Star Stampz Facebook Fan Group, too, for even more inspiration and fun.

Beautiful -- for Path of Positivity
It's the first Monday of the March, and that means it's time for a new challenge at the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog. For the next month, our theme is "Beauty".
We have 2 sponsors this month --
For today's project, I had the distinct pleasure of working with a wonderful image from Sami Stamps. This is Wildflower Beauty.
I colored Wildflower Beauty with Copic markers, then used dies from Craftin' Desert Divas to cut the image out and frame it.
Papers for the card are digital, and are from Michele R Designs.
The crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM. I used a We R Memory Keepers Scallop Corner Chomper on this card, too, and a card stock base from Close To My Heart.
March, with the start of spring, is the perfect month for a challenge focusing on beauty. I hope you find time to enter this month. We've got 2 great sponsors, which means fantastic prizes to win, and I'd love to see what you create! Join us at the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog.

Key To My Heart -- Coloring Without Boundaries and Lacy Sunshine
I am super excited to share this post with you today! Heather Valentin, artist of the ever-delightful Lacy Sunshine images, has started a new Facebook coloring group called Coloring Without Boundaries. It is a group to share all your coloring projects. Today is also the launch of a new challenge on the Lacy Sunshine Challenge Blog. Visit the blog for details, and to see the fantastic showcase coloring pieces for this uber talented design team!
I used the delightful new image, Lil Tumble's Enchanted Keyhole
Let me take you through the process of how I got there:
Starting with skin.... I used Copic markers throughout. E0000, E00, E04, E11,E21,R20:
Then, I added her hair. I love this hair combo! It's B99, B93, V04, and I used C01 as my lightest color. I color my hair from dark to light. Her green eyes are: G20, G21, G24, and G28.
I wanted to finish this piece into a card, although it isn't a requirement for the new coloring challenge blog. She just seemed to need something with a key behind her, and a "key to my heart" sentiment. Here she is, fussy cut and on a card:
I cut the key out on my Silhouette Cameo. The background paper is from Michele R Designs. The sentiment is computer generated and cut out with a heart-shaped die.

Next, her dress. I wanted a color that would match the hair, so I chose a shade of violet. I used V000, V01, V04, and V09. I said I color hair dark to light, but the dress, and most everything else, I color light to dark. I put my lightest (in this case V000) color down first. Then, I jump to my darkest color (here, it was V09), then work my way back down to the lightest color.
After the dress, I finished the rest of the project --
Keys -- Y11, Y23, Y26, Y28
Keyhole -- E70, E71, E74
Vines -- G40, G43, G46
Flowers -- YG00, RV00, Rv02, RV04
Dragonfly -- BV00, BV01, BV04, V000, BG000, BG01

Knitted with Love -- a Crafty Sentiments New Release
I'm excited about the New Releases happening this week at Crafty Sentiments Designs. The New Releases began yesterday on the Crafty Sentiments Inspirations and Challenge blog, and will be showcased through Friday. Check them out all week!
All the New Releases are rubber stamps, and they stamp beautifully. Today, I used this adorable rubber stamp, "Knitting Hearts":
I colored "Knitting Hearts" with Copic markers, then used a variety of sizes of Lifestyle crafts circle dies to cut her out and give her some dimension.
I made the card shape on my Silhouette Cameo, using a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store. Digi papers are from Michele R Designs, Shabby Purple Charms. The glitter heart is from a project also on my blog today. It was a left over, and seemed to need a home on this card. The sentiment is from Craftin' Desert Divas.
These new releases are available in the Crafty Sentiments Designs Store, so please check them out! They are adorable, and just in time for Valentine's Day projects!

Bah Humbug -- for Oddball Art Challenge Blog
It's time for a little mid-challenge inspiration over on the Oddball Art Challenge blog. Our theme for this month-long challenge is 'Christmas or Winter Holiday.' I don't know about you, but about this point in the season, I'm ready for a bit of normalcy to my routine. Get these decorations down, quit messing with my schedule, and let's get back to the status quo. Bah Humbug! Those thoughts were the inspiration behind today's card for the 'Christmas or Winter Holiday' Challenge at Oddball Art Challenge Blog.
This cute and quirky image, #143, was colored with Copic markers.
Designer papers for this card are from Michele R Designs digital papers. The sentiment is from Close To My Heart, cut out with a die from Paper Wishes.

Big Bunny Hugs!! for The East Wind
Where I come from, and with the people I hang out with, comfort is much more important than fashion. That's why today's New Release from The East Wind is so appealing. Unky nailed it with her interpretation of "the hoody". This garment is a fashion must-have here in NW Wisconsin. Bring on The East Wind's New Release -- 'Bunny Hug'!
I colored 'Bunny Hug' with Copic markers. A die company is going out of business, and this is one of the new sets I got from them. I used the largest heart in the die set and made it into a heart-shaped card base. I inked the edges of the scalloped die with Tim Holtz distress ink in Wilted Violet. Papers for this card are digital. They are by Michele R Designs. The sentiment was computer generated.
That's it for today's new release. On Friday, there will be a Freebie for anyone signed up for The East Wind's newsletter, plus another new Release. Two delights to look forward to!
