It's Thursday, and it's time for a new challenge at Lavinia World Challenges. Challenge #21 starts today. They are always Anything Goes as long as you use an acrylic or rubber stamp. Of course, we love to see those Lavinia Stamps and papers!
You can never have too many birthday cards, that's why this Woodland Hare donned his party hat and grabbed some balloons! It's time to celebrate!
I used one of the 2 hares in the Woodland Hares set and stamped him with VersaFine Clair ink in Morning Mist. I think he might have been able to hold on to all 3 of those helium balloons if his party hat wasn't just a tad too big. But then again, he's a Woodland Hare, and doesn't have thumbs, so he was bound to have some trouble. Hopefully a magical fairy will come his way and help him to the party!
All the fun die cuts on this card are from a Birthday Icons set from Frantic Stamper. The 'Celebrate' sentiment is also from Frantic Stamper. The stitched circle die is from Lawn Fawn. The pretty birthday papers are a new release at We Are 3 Digital Shop. They are part of the Happy Birthday Collection.
I used the current sketch at Cheerful Sketches to jumpstart my creativity and will be entering it in their challenge.
I hope you can join us at Lavinia World Challenges. You might be the lucky winner of a $15 gift Certificate to the Lavinia World Store. How great would that be?!? If you don't have a blog, you can enter in the Anything Lavinia Facebook Group.
Have fun getting inky!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

I have this blog as a place to share my creative self -- be it card making, music playing, scrapbooking, altered art, home decor, or whatever direction my art takes me. My dogs are always a part of my home life, so they have to be a part of my blog, too.

Dandelion Thanks - for Lavinia World Challenges
It's Thursday, and a new challenge starts today at the Lavinia World Challenge Blog. Challenge #20 is underway, and they are Anything Goes, as long as you use a rubber or acrylic stamp (nothing digital). One $15 gift certificate will be awarded each challenge for the Lavinia World Store.
I never seem to have enough thank you cards, so I made one for today's challenge, using Fairy Dandelions:
I used the smallest of the 2 Fairy Dandelions and embossed it with white embossing powder. Then, I inked the background using Harmony water reactive inks by Spectrum Noir. I used 2 shades of yellow and 3 shades of blue to achieve this effect.
There's a piece of designer paper from We Are 3 Digital Shop layered behind the image. It's from the Dandelion Wishes Collection. The "Thanks" is a die cut from Crafter's Companion. The crinkle ribbon is from my stash.
Get out those Lavinia Stamps that we all love so much and get inky! I'd love to see your creations, and you could win a gift certificate to the Lavinia World Store. How great would that be? If you don't have a blog, you can also enter your creations in the Anything Lavinia Facebook Group.

Magic Wallhanging -- for Lavinia World Challenge Blog
It's Thursday, so we get to start a new challenge at the Lavinia World Challenge Blog! Yea! Thursdays are beginning to be my favorite day of the week!
Winter can be a magical time of year when there is new fallen snow and the sun is out. The snowflakes sparkle off the trees and in the air like diamonds. That was the inspiration behind this home decor piece for today's challenge:
I used a paper from the Lavinia World Store. It is called Winter Chill. The cute bunny that is watching the diamonds of snow descend is Pippin (miniature). The trees are the Small Fairy Fir Tree. They have a long stem on them, so I taped off a portion of the stem before I stamped, them removed the tape before stamping. They were stamped with VersaFine Clair Ink in Rain Forest. The sentiment is Believe in Magic. Both the sentiment and Pippin were stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
The frame was a decorative frame from my stash. It worked great for this project. A bit of twine finished it off.
I hope you join us the next 2 weeks. I love to see your creativity and a $15 gift certificate is given away each challenge plus some designer pick awards. If you don't have a blog, you can submit your entry at the Anything Lavinia Facebook Group.
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
D.L. Art -- January Linky Party
Not Just Cards -- ATG
Crafty Gals Challenge -- Winter Fun
Word Art Wednesday -- ATG
AUD Sentiment -- ATG + a sentiment
Outlawz Festive Fridays -- Snowy Weather

Winter Dreams --- for Lavinia World Challenges
Another Thursday, another Lavinia World Challenge. I hope you are enjoying them as much as I am! I love the stamps and other products found in the Lavinia World Store, and I am in awe of the talent of those that link up for our challenges.
It is the heart of winter here in Northwest Wisconsin. Some of our coldest nights happen in January. This gorgeous wolf, Maka, is howling at the winter moon, perhaps dreaming of the warmer weather to come. Or, maybe like me, Maka enjoys the winter months?
Lavinia Stamps have such beautiful impressions, and Maka is no exception. I just loved the way this stamped on to this heavily inked background. Maka was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.
The background was created with various Tim Holtz distress inks and Spectrum Noir Harmony ink pads (all water reactive). The 'Dream' die cut is from Cottage Cutz, cut out of silver foil paper. The layered snow drifts were created free hand.
I hope you link up at this Lavinia World Challenge. There is one $15 gift certificate awarded each challenge and some Designer Choice awards. You can also add your entries in the Anything Lavinia Facebook Group if you don't have a blog. Join us there!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Everybody Art Challenge -- Winter Landscape
TTCRD -- ATG
Artsy Stamper Challenge -- Baby, It's Cold Outside
Dare 2 Be Artzy Challenge -- Winter
D.L. art -- January Linky Party

Winter is Here -- for Lavinia World Challenges
Lavinia World Challenge #17 starts today, and I hope you are enjoying these challenges as much as I am! There really is something magical about Lavinia Stamps, and creating with them!
Today, I wanted to create a winter scene. I have many berry bushes in my yard that the birds and rabbits eat on all winter long. Those berry bushes inspired me to create the Berry Wreath on today's card:
I stamped the Berry Wreath 3 times, using both VersaFine Clair ink in Morning Mist, and Memento ink in London Fog. I colored the berries with colored pencil in colors to match the background paper. A stamped the Small Pixies to line up with the wreath. I placed some clear rhinestone mini dots around the wreath to give it some sparkle.
At the top of the card, I stamped the Silence sentiment.

Let It Snow! for Lavinia World Challenges
Thursday! Less than a week 'til Christmas. Are you ready? Of course you're not! We never are, but we get through it year after year! Thursday -the 3rd Thursday of the month, so it's time for a new challenge over at Lavinia World Challenges, where challenges are always Anything Goes as long as you use a rubber or acrylic stamp. Of course, we love to see those Lavinia Stamps the best! You can also enter your projects in the Anything Lavinia Facebook Group, but these require Lavinia Stamps &/or papers.
I wanted create something that would look as magical as the world outside my window. We have a fresh blanket of white snow here in NW Wisconsin where I live, and very little in life is as pretty and sparkly as the sun on that fresh fallen snow. Fresh fox tracks across my front lawn were the impetus behind today's project:
I used a Lavinia paper to begin my tag -- it is called "Silence". It is currently out of stock, but should be back in stock soon. They are about 3 inch by 8 inch, so it worked well to cut it into this tag shape. Once I got the tag cut out, using a die by Paper Wishes, I thought the Fox 1 (Kernal) would work well. I stamped the Fox 1 with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink. Then, to balance out the tag, I stamped the Small Fairy Fir Tree (LAV489), stamped with VersaFine Clair ink in Shady Lane. Then, all was left was adding a sentiment. I used an Elizabeth Craft cutting die for the sentiment, and some retired Close To my Heart fibers to finish it off.

Ho Ho Ho for Lavinia World Challenges
A new challenge is underway at Lavinia World Challenge, where challenges are always anything goes, as long as you use an acrylic or rubber stamp (nothing digital). There will be one $15 gift certificate awarded to a lucky winner! It could be you! The challenge will run for the next 2 weeks.
I am trying to put a wrap on Christmas cards soon, so I made another one for today's challenge:
I started by using the Lavinia paper, Winter Chill for my card base. I then stamped the Moon stamp with Versafine Clair ink in Morning Mist. I cut out a circle the same size as the moon in acetate, taping it down lightly to hold it in place. I used several colors of distress inks around the moon to enhance the look of it. Then, I stamped Christmas Night in Nocturne Versafine Clair Ink. Lastly, I cut the sentiment with gold glitter card stock out of a Sue Wilson Craft Die.

Three Peaceful Pines -- for Lavinia World Challenges
It's Thursday, and it's time for a new challenge on the Lavinia World Challenge Blog. Challenges are always Anything Goes, as long as you use an acrylic or a rubber stamp -- no digital images. Of course, we'd like to see your Lavinia Stamps getting some love!
I've gotten so I really like to ink up backgrounds. I was intimidated by this process for a long time. Now, I just play, and ink, and add color, and see what I can create. That's how I came up with today's card base. Once I got the base done, I did a bit of stamping, die cut a sentiment, and Voila! I had a Christmas card to add to the stash:
Are any of you mystery readers? I love reading books by author, Louise Penny. The Chief Inspector Gamache series centers around the small town of Three Pines. This card is my tribute to Three Pines. May it always be peaceful there!
The pines were stamped using the Small Fairy Fir Tree 2 stamp. I stamped it once, as is (the tall one), once using a shorter version of the trunk, then once using 2nd generation stamping to make it look like it was behind the other 2 trees. Flying into the cold winter sky is the stamp, Ducks. I used Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black for all the stamped images.
The inked background was created with a variety of Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks. I used Seedless Preserves, Milled Lavender, Shaded Lilac, Victorian Velvet, Faded Jeans, and Chipped Sapphire. I sprinkled a bit of water on the inks to make it look a bit snowy.
The 'Peace' die is from Elizabeth Craft.
I hope you find time to join us this next 2 weeks at Lavinia World Challenges! You might be the lucky winner of the $15 gift certificate to the Lavinia World Store, or one of the Designer Choice recipients. I'd love to see your creations!

3 Kings Noel -- for Lavinia World Challenges
It's Thursday, and it's been 2 weeks, so it's time for another challenge at Lavinia World Challenges. It seems like this all just got started, and here we are at challenge #13 already. The challenges are always anything goes, as long as you use an acrylic or rubber stamp -- no digital images allowed. Of course, we'd love to see your Lavinia Stamps being used! One $15 gift certificate will be awarded each challenge.
I'm thinking Christmas cards this time of years I used the beautiful Three Kings stamp to create this:
I used 2 different shades of VersaFine Clair inks to obtain the color of green that I wanted. I have this "thing" about green. There seem to be many shades of it, but rarely is it the shade I want! So, I first stamped with Green Oasis, then Rain Forest, repeating back and forth until I got the shade I wanted. You'll find many shades of VersaFine Clair ink in the Lavinia World Store.
Designer papers on this card are from the We Are 3 Digital Shop. The dies are all from Queen & Company, except for the sentiment die. That is from Diamond Press.
Three Kings-- perfect for Christmas cards! Come shop the Lavinia World Store, then join us at Lavinia World Challenges. I'd love to see what you create, and you could be the lucky winner of the $15 gift certificate, or one of the designer choice awards!

'Tis the Season for Reindeer -- for Lavinia World Challenges
'Tis the season to start thinking seriously about making Christmas cards. 'Tis also time for a new challenge at Lavinia World Challenge Blog. Challenges are Anything Goes, as long as you use a rubber or acrylic stamp (no digis). There is a $15 gift certificate winner each challenge, and the design team chooses a few honorable mentions. It's all great fun!
For this challenge, I made a Christmas card using a beautiful reindeer stamp. It is one of the most realistic reindeer stamps I've ever seen!
I started by inking my background with distress inks and spritzed them with a light spray of water to make the "snow". I let that dry very well. In the meantime, I die cut the snow drifts and the Tis the Season sentiment. Once I knew the background was good and dry, I stamped the Reindeer stamp (small) onto the inked background. I stamped the Reindeer with VersaFine Clair ink in Nocturne. All I had to do was glue the pieces of the card together and I was done!
I hope you join us at Lavinia World Challenges. I'd love to see what you make, and you just might win that $15 gift certificate from the Lavinia World Store!

Believe in the Magic of Autumn -- for Lavinia World Challenges
It's Thursday, and we're starting a new challenge at Lavinia World Challenges. Challenges are Anything Goes, as long as you use a rubber or acrylic stamp. Of course, we love to see Lavinia Stamps, but it is not necessary. Any rubber or acrylic stamp is good to link up. There will be one winner or a $15 gift certificate for the Lavinia World Store. The design team also chooses several honorable mention projects.
I love fall! I love the colors of fall, the cooler temperatures, and hiking with my dog and husband or friends. Recently, I've been taking pictures around the neighborhood of colors and plants. I have been quite sure there are fairies living very close by. What do you think?
I will link all the Lavinia Stamps used on this layout at the bottom of this post. First, I'd like to share some close ups so you can hopefully see the sparkle in the fairies wings.
Here's a close up of Daydreaming Silhouette, and the sentiment stamp, Believe in Magic.

Birthday Butterfly -- for Lavinia World Challenges
It's time for challenge #10 at Lavinia World Challenges! These 2 weeks go so fast, but I don't lose my enthusiasm for these incredible Lavinia stamps and papers found in the Lavinia World Store.
First, a few guidelines: Challenges are Anything Goes, as long as you use an acrylic or rubber stamp. Lavinia Stamps are not a requirement, however, we love to see them! You can win a prize of a gift certificate to the Lavinia World store, based in the US. There are also some Honorable Mention entries for each challenge.
I wanted to make a birthday card, with an Autumn color scheme. Here's what I created for today's challenge:
I used the Lavinia Stamps, Zen Butterfly on this card. I stamped it using Versafine Clair ink in Paradise, then heat set it using clear embossing powder. I repeated this 3 times, making it so it looked like there were Zen Butterflies flying off the paper. After I got the stamping and embossing done, I got busy inking. I used a variety of Tim Holtz Distress inks to achieve this effect.
A piece of designer paper, a "Happy Birthday" die, a card base, and the card was complete.
Join us this next 2 weeks at the Lavinia World Challenges. Uses a Lavinia Stamp and you'll double your chances of winning the Designer's Choice Award, and the $15 gift certificate!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Hidden Secrets - for Lavinia World Challenges
It's time for challenge #9 at Lavinia World Challenges! I am having so much fun with these awesome stamps, found in the Lavinia World Store, but first, let's go over the rules of the challenge: you must use an acrylic or a rubber stamp (not digital). The theme is always Anything Goes. You do not have to use Lavinia Stamps, but it doubles your chances of winning the awesome $15 gift certificate up for grabs. There are also Honorable Mention awards, all chosen by the design team.
I tried something a bit different for today's card --
I have had this Lawn Fawn cutting die forever, and have never used it. I thought it was time to see what it did. Once I got it cut, I decided to use a different Lavinia Stamps image or sentiment in each of the windows, then blend it all together with distress oxide inks.
I started with the sentiment "Secrets are Hidden", stamping it with Versafine Clair ink in Fantasia, then using clear embossing powder over the top. Next, I stamped with Versafine Clair in Summertime (and embossed with clear powder again) the image of Rory from the Darcy and Rory set. The rabbit was next. It is one of 3 from the Whimsical Hares set, stamped with Charming Pink Versafine Clair ink and headset with clear embossing powder. Lastly, stamping it 3 different times because it was smaller and I wanted to fill up the space in the window, I stamped the Flutterby Miniature using Versafine Clair Golden Meadow and clear embossing powder.
After all the stamping and embossing were done, I just needed to get busy inking. I used a variety of Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks to achieve the look that I got. I used Victorian Velvet, Tattered Rose, Milled Lavender, Shaded Lilac, Broken China, Salty Ocean, and Squeezed Lemonade.
That's it for this card! I hope you are loving these Lavinia Stamps as much as I am! The stamps are magical, and it's such a treat to go back to when I used to play with inks, sprays, and embossing powders. I can barely remember how to use it all!
Please join us this 2 weeks for our Anything Goes Challenge at Lavinia World. Just make sure you are using an acrylic or rubber stamp -- no digital. Thanks!

Indra -- for Lavinia World Challenges
It's Thursday, and it's time for a new challenge at Lavinia World Challenges. It's challenge #8! Challenges are Anything Goes, as long as you use an acrylic or rubber stamp. Lavinia Stamps are not a requirement, however, if you do use a Lavinia Stamp in your project, your chances are doubled or winning a prize of a gift certificate to the Lavinia World store, based in the US.
I used an absolutely gorgeous stamp on my DT card for today. It is called simply, Indra. Butterfly? Luna moth? You decide. I will call it a luna moth in my description in this post.
This Indra stamp is large -- over 4 inches square, so I felt it was the only thing needed (well almost) on this card:
I used a stamp platform to make sure I'd have a crisp image of Indra, and stamped the luna moth with Versafine Clair ink - Nocturne, which also helps assure a crisp image. I used 3 colors of Distress Oxide Inks -- Shaded Lilac, Tumbled Glass, and Spun Sugar. After that, all that was left to do was add some pearls from my stash.
That's it for me for this challenge. I hope to see something from you! These Lavinia stamps are so gorgeous, and so fun to play with! Visit the Lavinia World store, do some shopping, and join in on our Lavinia World challenges. I'd love to see your magical creations!
