Valentine's Girl -- for All Dressed Up Stamps

Twice a  month, All Dressed Up Stamps DT members feature the new releases.  Today is one of those days.  Fun!! This month's new releases have a Valentine's feel for them, but definitely can be used for other occasions.  I made a "just because" type card with the New Releases, Valentine's Girl. Here she is!!

I colored Valentine's Girl with Copic markers, then used a set of large heart dies I have to construct the card and layer up Valentine's Girl.  The background paper is by We Are 3 Digital Shop. It is the Romantic Hearts paper. I heat embossed the sentiment, used a die from Pink & Main to cut it out, cut out another old heart die for the embellishment, and the card was done.

Visit the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook group and the ADU blog for even more inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by!

Autumn Fairy -- For Ching-Chou Kuik

It's Tuesday, and this is my day to post on the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration & Challenge Blog.    I love my Tuesdays!   It's also the start of a new challenge on the blog, with the theme of Thanksgiving/Remembrance/Thinking of You/Thank You.  I hope you can join us this month with one of those great themes.  You'll find many beautiful images to color up for the challenge in  the GJZCCK Etsy Shop.

I used one of a set of 3 images for today's card.  The set is called Hello Autumn

I colored Hello Autumn with Copic markers.  The papers are some Autumn themed papers from Crafter's Companion.  The sentiment die is also from Crafter's Companion.

Life's Short -- for SheepSki Designs

The first of the month, and time for a new challenge at SheepSki Designs Challenge Blog. The challenge will run all month, and the theme is 'Let's be Cute'.  You'll find many images in the SheepSki Designs Etsy Shop that will work for the challenge, or you can use any image you would like.

Let's be cute -- I  really like the many gnomes in the SheepSki Designs Store, and decided to color up the darling Ryder.

I colored Ryder with Copic markers, cut it out with a set of dies from a company no longer in business (Top Dog Dies), and inked the edges with Tim Holtz Distress ink.  The leafy paper behind Ryder is from Crafter's companion, as is the green pearl card.  I computer generated the sentiment and cut it out and backed it with a die from Queen & Company.

I hope you can join us this month at SheepSki Designs Challenge Blog for our 'Make it Cute' Challenge.  I'd love to see what you create, and you could win awesome digis -- like this one!

Ukulele Panda - for Kitty Bee Designs

I'm posting today on the Kitty Bee Designs blog, where it's my day to leave some inspiration.  I love it when I have a chance to color up the adorable pandas and other cute animals in the Kitty Bee Designs Etsy Shop.  Today, I had the pleasure of using the clear stamp, Ukulele Panda. I am a musician, so anything having to do with music strikes a chord with me (pun intended!).  That's why the Ukulele Panda is rings just the right note with me!

This uses the clear stamp, Ukulele Panda, colored with Copic markers.  It colors up very fast, and looks so cute, doesn't it?

Check this blog often for more great inspiration from the Kitty Bee Design team, and check out all of the clear stamps available in the Kitty Bee Design Etsy Shop

Puppy Love -- for Di's Digi Designs Challenge Blog

And, they call it, Puppy Love!   How many of you know that song? It was running through my head the whole time I created today's card.  Now, if you know the song, you'll be singing it to!!

Sing about the new challenge on Di's Designs Challenge Blog, too. They're worth singing over!  The theme that starts today is "use your stash".  I could be on this theme for the next 200 years and never run out of supplies in my craft room!

For the challenge this time, I was inspired by my new puppy (photos in a moment).  I used this digital stamp called Daisy and Bassett to create this card:

I colored Daisy and Bassett with Copic markers.  They are so smitten with each other, aren't they?  The stitched die and the label die are from a company no longer in business (part of the "from my stash theme for this challenge).  I cut out the paw print border with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store, using my Silhouette Cameo 3.   The designer heart paper is from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  It's from the Hearts in Love paper pack.

The sentiment is from an acrylic stamp set that I've had forever -- it's part of the "in my stash".  The paw print brad has also been in my stash for years.  I have lots of dog related crafting items I can get out for projects just like this one!

Here's two pictures of my new Golden Retriever.  He just came home with us on Sunday:

Here, we're leaving the breeder's home, with a 2 hour car ride ahead of us.  He seems to be saying, "Let's go to my forever home, I'm ready!"

Here he is today, after exploring the yard. He found a cool place to hang out, in the ferns.

I hope you can play along with the Di's Designs Challenge these 2 weeks for our "stash items" challenge.  You might make a dent in the stash (or not), and there are the cutest digis you can win!

I absolutely love this Kitty Bee Designs Panda!

You can find many cute panda digis and acrylic stamps in the Kitty Bee Designs Etsy Shop.

Here's another view so you can see his cute panda tail:

Seriously cute, huh?  The sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.  The embossing folder is from Darice.

Birthday Dragons Coming Your Way -- Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge

It was a rainy Thursday, so after meeting a friend at the local coffee shop this morning, I came home and got creating.  I used this month's progressive freebie at The Dragon's Lair, and combined it with this Wednesday's Sketch challenge at The Outlawz.  Here's what I came up with:

I colored up the dragons with Copic markers, then fussy cut them.  Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are the Nature Blends digital papers.

Here's the sketch I used:

As you can see, I followed it pretty closely.

The large heart die is from Spellbinders.  The small heart die, across the top is from a company that no longer exists -- Top Dog Dies.   The Happy Birthday sentiment is a sticker from Hot Off the Press.

That's it for this one.  It's almost the weekend!

I Woof You! for the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog

It's time for some mid-month inspiration over at the Path of Positivity Challenge blog.  This month's optional theme is the color red.  Our guest sponsors this month are Ike's Art and Pattie's Creations

I had the great fun of working with this image from Ike's Art, Puppy Love:

I colored Puppy Love with Copic markers, computer generating the sentiment in the middle of the heart.  This was my husband's Valentine's Day card from our Golden Retriever, Gracie.  She is very blonde, so I made this a light colored Golden. Here she is, sending you valentine wishes.

The red background paper on this is a digital paper from Imagine That! Digistamp.  I created the heart shaped card using dies from Top Dog Dies (no longer in business).  The paw print brad is from Paper Wishes.

Red.  It's such a good color for Valentine's day, but it's also a great color for our cold, white and gray winter months.  I like bright, happy colors this time of year!

I hope you find time to join us yet this month at The Path of Positivity Challenge Blog.  This challenge goes until March 4.  You can enter the optional 'red' challenge, or anything positive or inspirational that you'd like.

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Thankful for Art -- and Path of Positivity Challenge Blog

Hello, crafty friends, and happy Labor Day to my American readers.  Today is the start of a new challenge at Path of Positivity Challenge Blog.  We have a 3-month challenge theme, exploring the concepts of art, literature, and music.  For September, the theme will be art.  To be eligible for the prizes, tell us how your project ties in with art -- how are you affected by art, artistic masters, art in your home, sculptures, whatever!

Our guest sponsor this month is Luna Girl.  You'll find the most awesome vintage images at Luna Girl!  I used one of the images from the Summer Garden Digital Collage Sheet to create this:

Studying the masters is a great way to learn about light source.  It can help in my own coloring and shading.  I love how this vase is shaded and how the artists used shadows behind the daisies.  We can learn so much from other artists and learn from them in our own artistic journeys.

I hope you can join this month at Path of Positivity for our "Surround Yourself with Art" challenge.  It runs until October 1.   You can also link up any positive themed project if you don't want to use the alternate theme.

Swallowtail on Coneflower -- for Bloom Arts Stamps

Hello fellow crafters!  I have a gorgeous digi to share with you today from Bloom Arts Stamps.  It's titled simply, Swallowtail on Coneflower.

I colored up Swallowtail on Coneflower with Copic markers, then used a die from Top Dog dies to cut it out.  The background paper is from MHKDesigns.  The card base is an SVG file from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons.  The crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM.

I'm not a huge violet person, but I really like how this turned out.  Maybe it's the orange and purple together that makes for a striking combination.

Bloom Arts Stamps has many great digital and clear stamps that are wonderful for whatever your favorite coloring medium it.  Make sure and check them out!

I used the adorable rubber stamp, "Patsy and Gizmo Hiding" to create this:

I colored Patsy & Gizmo Hiding with Copic markers, then used dies by Lawn Fawn (scalloped rectangle) and Top Dog dies to create the card base.  The flowers were from my stash.

I Love, Love, Love You -- for Path of Positivity

It's time for some mid-month inspiration over on the Path of Positivity Challenge blog, and we have a new sponsor that was so fun to work with!  For this challenge, I used an image from Mari Digis.  The Path of Positivity challenge theme this month is: An Expression of Love.  It is optional.  Link up any inspirational project you'd like.

This digi is called Casal Kiss.  I used this as my husband's Valentine's Day card.  He wondered if we ever looked that young? We are both bald now (me from chemo, he from aging), so we certainly have changed!

I colored Casal Kiss with Copic markers, then used dies from Top Dog dies to complete the card.  The sentiment is from Spellbinders.  The bow, not used on an earlier project, was sitting on my desk.

I hope you join us at the Path of Positivity Challenge blog this month -- there's still time as our challenge runs until March 5.  Use the optional An Expression of Love theme to be eligible for the prizes from this month's sponsors.

Challenges are 'Anything Goes'.  If you use a Imagine That! Digistamp product, you can win Frogs in Love for yourself, and it's adorable!  Here's what I created with it:

I used one of the pre-printed images that come with the Frogs in Love digital stamp set (there are 2).  I inked around the edges with Tim Holtz distress ink.  Then, I used a die set from Top Dog dies to create the heart-shaped card.  The sentiment is also from the Frogs in Love set.  The glitter hearts paper is from the Imagine That! Digistamp Beary in Love paper pack

Those frogs make beautiful music together, don't they?  I think they are toad-ally awesome!

Imagine That! Digistamp sets used:

Challenges are Anything Goes, if you use MHKDesigns products.  Or, there's a inspiration picture to help you along.

Here's my card for the January challenge:

I used the picture board for inspiration:

I love the look of colored pencils on Kraft paper, so that's what I did with this card, using the "I've Been Framed" digital stamp set and the "Tulip of Thanks" digital stamp set.  The "I've Been Framed" stamp set was colored with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils.  Papers on this card are also from MHKDesigns.  They're "Damsel In Distress" digital papers.

Dies used on this heart-shaped card are from Top Dog Dies and Hot Off the Press.

Sets used:

Christmas Bingo -- for the 12 Months of Christmas

November? Already?  I'm sure glad I've been whittling away on my Christmas cards month-by-month this year!  Being on the DT for The 12 Months of Christmas has kept me on track!

Today starts a new challenge at the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up.  Our theme this time is Bingo, and there's a chart to follow.  First, my card, then the chart I used:

You can link up any Christmas card you make.  To qualify for the prizes from our sponsor, follow the bingo theme using the chart above.  I used the diagonal line Star- No patterned paper - Free Space - Snowflakes - Sentiment.

Our sponsor this month is Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.  Lisa designs all sorts of gorgeous papers and elements.  Her blog is worth a visit, for sure!

The Yuletide Texture papers on this card were created by Lisa for this month's challenge.  The sentiment is also created by Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.  The snowflakes are dies by Lawn Fawn.  The star is a die by Top Dog dies.

I hope you join us this month at the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up.  You have all month, and Christmas is coming fast!
