It's March 1, and that means it's time for a new challenge on the SheepSki Designs Challenge Blog. The challenge theme this time is "Die Cuts &/or punches" -- an easy theme to work with, don't you think? I rarely use punches anymore, but oh, do I have dies!
I've been longing to try my hand at the SheepSki Designs image, Camouflage. This isn't what I had originally set out to create, but this is where it ended up:
I used distress inks and brushes on the Camouflage image and background. The sentiment is computer generated. The frame is a die cut and uses a paper from We Are 3 Digital Shop. The flowers use a die from Creative Expressions. I used specialty papers from Tonic Studios that give them the felt-like look. The pearls are from my stash.
I hope you can join us for the Dies &/or punches challenge at SheepSki Designs Challenge Blog. It runs the month of March.
I'd like to enter the following challenges:
Crafty Animals --ATG with an animal
Polkadoodles --ATG
Brown Sugar Challenge --ATG
Outlawz Monday Greetings -- ATG
I have this blog as a place to share my creative self -- be it card making, music playing, scrapbooking, altered art, home decor, or whatever direction my art takes me. My dogs are always a part of my home life, so they have to be a part of my blog, too.

Live Laugh Love Fairy -- A New Release at Bugaboo Stamps
It's Tuesday, and that's New Release, or in some case, an old release is put in the new store as a re-release every Tuesday. For the whole week, the New Release can be yours for 1/2 price! It's a great way to grow your Bugaboo Stamps collection!
Today's New Release is Live Love Laugh Flower Fairy. I decided to get inky with it and created this:
I used Spectrum Noir Harmony inks and life changing brushes from Picket Fence to create this look. The dies are by Spellbinders and made creating this shaped card quite easy.
The designer papers are newly released from We Are 3 Digital Shop. I used 2 of the papers from the Fairy Tale Collection.
Jump on over to the Bugaboo Stamp Store to get this new release, then stop by the Catch the Bug Blog to see what the other talented designers made with it. Color or ink it up yourself and enter it in this week's challenge, and you could win even more Bugaboo images!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
D.L. Art -- February Linky Party
A Perfect Time to Craft -- ATG
CraftDee Bowz -- ATG with a Bow
Lil Patch of Crafty Friends -- ATG
Outlawz Festive Fridays -- ATG

A Blizzard of Kisses -- for Dies R Us Inspiration Blog
I'm posting today on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog, where I always have such fun playing with the wonderful stamps and dies found in the Dies R Us Store.
I very much enjoy the pre-orders and special events that the Dies R Us Store has to offer. I have gotten to try out some brands of dies and stamps that I don't find in my local (limited) craft shop. I, for one, look forward to seeing what the weekend will have to offer. To find out about the pre-orders and special sales, sign up for the Dies R Us newsletter.
One of the last several weekends, the Dies R Us Store offered stamps and dies from Picket Fence Studio. I had seen this particular stamp and die set, but jumped at the chance to purchase and work with it.
This card uses 'Have a Wonderful Wintery Day':
Here's a picture of all the supplies used for this card:
I don't often get out my watercolor supplies, but this little snowman seemed to need it. I used Spectrum Noir Aquablend pencils on him.
Here he is, all colored up:
I don't always purchase the matching dies for stamp sets, but in this case, I'm really glad I did. The stamps are small, and I would not want to try to fuzzy cut around those stick arms!!
My camera got switched to manual, so I apologize for this blurry photo. I wanted you to see, though, how the die is positioned over the colored stamp, and held in place with washi tape.
Hopefully, you can see all that!
Here's everything die cut. I used snowflake dies from Lawn Fawn, and a stitched circle die, also from Lawn Fawn. The sentiment is included in the 'Have a Wonderful Wintery Day' Stamp Set.
The designer papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop. They are 2 of the papers offered in the Snowmen Paper Collection.
I'll leave you with one more photo of the wonderful wintery card!
