Bee Okay Bear -- for Bugaboo Stamps

It's Tuesday, and that's New Release day at Bugaboo Stamps.  Every Tuesday, there's a new release, and it's always 50% off for the week, so it's a good time to grab it!

Today's new release is Butterfly Bear Ice Cream.  I recently got a bee stamp set with a bunch of bee sentiments on it (from Simon Says Stamp) so I decided to make my Butterfly Bear into a Bee Bear.  Here's the bee themed Butterfly Bear Ice Cream card using today's New Release:

He looked a little sad, like perhaps his ice cream is melting too fast, so I thought the sentiment fit well.

I colored Butterfly Bear - Ice Cream with Copic markers, then fussy cut him.  I used this week's sketch from Sketch Saturday to construct the card. Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  The aqua paper on the top of the card is from the Honeycomb paper collection.  The other 2 papers are from the Bumble Bee Collection

The sentiment and the octagon shaped die cut are from Simon Says Stamp.  The bee die is from Anna Griffin.  The glimmer trim and solid card stock are from Close To My Heart.

I hope you visit the Catch the Bug Blog to see what the other talented Bugaboo designers did with today's new release.  Check back each day for tons of great inspiration! There's also the Bugaboo Stamps Fan Club on Facebook to check out!

I Love Crafting -- the Outlawz July Progressive Freebie

Phew!  I wasn't sure I was going to get this month's progressive freebie done at The Outlawz.  It's getting down to the wire, but it is finally complete.  The month has gotten away from me!

The free image this month is from Little Blue Button (thank you!).  I used the current sketch (loosely) from The Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge.

Isn't she cute?  Both she and her kitty are getting into a bit of crafting.

Here's the sketch I used:

Papers on this card are from Close To My Heart.  The die I used, the foil tape, and the acrylic stamp are also from Close To My Heart.

That's it for this card.  Now, to find some challenges.

Summer, Watermelon, and Ants -- for Dies R Us Inspiration Blog

I'm posting today on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog.  The Dies R Us Store is one of my favorite places to shop, with their great selection of dies (over 55 brands!), and special pre-orders, fun special order items, plus lots of supplies.  It's a crafter's dream, but tough on the budget, LOL!

Lawn Fawn is one of my favorite stamp companies.  They have such cute stamps and matching dies.  The one I used on today's card proves how fun they can be!

The Dies R Us Store has a great selection of Lawn Fawn products.  This uses the Happy Summer stamp set and matching Happy Summer die cuts

Here's a photo of all the supplies I used, including 6x6 papers.

I stamped the watermelon, and colored it with Copic markers.  I stamped the ants with black ink and then used the matching die cuts to cut all the pieces out.

I wanted the sentiment to run across the red gingham paper.  I could have done this by masking the "Happy Summer" stamp, but I decided to cut it apart instead.  It was easier to line it up that way, and easily cut into two words.

Here are the products I used with links to the Dies R Us Store:

Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  The green background paper is from the Fruity paper collection.  The red gingham paper is from the Rainbow Gingham collection.

That's it!  The picnic is over.  I'll leave you with one last look at the card...

I hope you visit the Dies R Us inspiration blog often to see the great inspiration from the Dies R Us Inspiration team.  They are a talented group of ladies!  Then, create a project of your own and enter it in the Dies R Us Challenges.  I'd love to see your creations.

You're Super -- For Di's Digi Designs Challenges

These weeks go so fast!  It's been two weeks already, and it's time for a new challenge at Di's Digi Designs Challenges.  For the next 2 weeks, the theme is:  Things with Tails &/or Wings.  Since so many of Di's adorable images are creatures, this is an easy peasy one!  Visit her store at Di's Digistamps, do some shopping, then join in the fun!

I used the adorable Little Mouse to create this for the challenge:

Little Mouse is available in both a black & white version and a colored version.  I chose the Little mouse in black & white, then colored it with Copic markers.  I fussy cut the image, then used my Silhouette Cameo 3 to cut out the center step card design used here.  The butterflies designer paper is from AMB Illustrations.

The sentiment is from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  It is one of the Super Hero Sentiments.

I used an image with a tail, then found butterfly papers and added butterflies to the card, just to make sure I had all angles covered with this Wings &/or Tail theme for this challenge at Di's Digi Designs Challenges.  I'd love to see how you interpret the theme!  Link up with us!

Reindeer Trio -- for Bugaboo Stamps

Today is the last day of Christmas in July over on the Catch the Bug blog, but you'll have another week to enter the challenges.

Today is Freebie Friday, and there's a movie theme to follow, plus a color challenge.  The movie is Rudolph.

Here's the color challenge:

I used today's freebie from the Bugaboo Store, called Reindeer Trio:

I colored Reindeer Trio with Copic markers, then fussy cut it out (easy to do, it's already a rectangle).

Papers on this card are from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.  They were created for her 12 Days of Christmas giveaway, in 2017.  I used a past sketch from Sketch Saturday

I hope you've found time to join us this week at Catch the Bug Challenges, or you're able to catch up on the fun this next week or so.  There's great prizes to win!  Pick up today's freebie from the Bugaboo Store!

Hello Summer - for Scribbles Designs

It's the 23rd of the month, and that means it's my day to post on the Scribbles Design Blog.  It's Inspiration day!

Since we are smack dab in the middle of the lazy days of summer, I created a summer/beach themed project for today:

This uses #848 Flip Flops, colored with Copic markers.  The papers are from Imagine That Digistamps.  The sentiment is a die set that I cut out in colors to match the Flip Flops and papers.  It was purchased in the Dies R Us Store.

I hope you can visit the Scribbles Designs Blog to see what the other talented designers contributed for today's inspiration post.

Christmas Elf -- for Bugaboo Stamps

It's Christmas in July week at Catch the Bug Challenges, and the fun and games continue to day with a bingo challenge.  With the movie 'Elf' as the theme, use this bingo diagram to make a project:

Here's my card, using the middle row, across:

This is today's new release, Elf Brat & Rudolph.  It comes in a black & White version and a recolored version.

I made this card using the black & white digi of Elf Brat & Rudolph, colored with Copic markers.  I added a clear Wink of Stella pen to the bells on the elf's shoes and hat, and also on the ornaments.  Unfortunately, it doesn't show up in the picture. :(   I really do have Sparkle, a Bugaboo image, and a sentiment, from the bingo chart.

Papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  They are the Brick Wall papers, and Winter Sunshine

Jingle All the Way -- for Bugaboo Stamps

It's Christmas in July at Bugaboo Stamps!  You'll find all the fun and challenges at Catch the Bug this week.  Our theme is "the best Christmas Movies ever".  You can win awesome prizes all week!

Today, the Movie theme is "Jingle All the Way".  It's also a sketch challenge, so there are 2 things to follow for today's challenge.

I found a really cute Elf in the Bugaboo Store that fit the Jingle All the Way theme.  I was able to modify the sketch slightly to make it work for that, too.

This is Elf 001, colored with Copic markers.  I wanted to use red and blue papers, so I made my Elf 001 red and blue, too.  Which way do you work?  Do you match your coloring to your papers, or your papers to your coloring?  I generally color, then match my papers, but every now and then, I have papers in mind, so color my images to match the papers.

This Elf, with his jingle bells on his hat and elf shoes, fits the Jingle all the Way theme, don't you think?  And, isn't he cute?  I decided to go without a sentiment, as he screams Christmas, even without a phrase attached.

Papers on this card are from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles, and were designed for the 12 Months of Christmas Challenges. If you are joining in the Bugaboo Christmas in July challenges this week, join us at the 12 Months of Christmas Link up, too!

I hope you join us this week for Christmas in July at Catch the Bug Blog.  There will be great challenges and tons of prizes All. Week. LONG!!!

Friendship Vase Card -- for Dies R Us Inspiration Blog

I'm posting today on the Dies R Us Inspiration Blog.  I love shopping in the Dies R Us Store, where there are over 55 brands of dies and lots of supplies.

I tend to like my cards simple, but bold, and today's card follows that theme.

Dies, distress oxide inks, some pearl accents, and it's a wrap.  Sounds like a great card, right?  You be the judge:

Bright and bold, right?  Here's how I did it, and the products I used (linked at the end of this post).

I used a vase and flower die for Die-Namites, and 6 shades of Distress Oxide ink, plus a word die.

I started by blending the background.  I have found that a very smooth card stock works best for me.  I started with the lightest colors first.  In this case, it was the middle of the card, so it was the Squeezed Lemonade, then the Mustard Seed, the the Twisted Citron, then the Salty Ocean.  After that, I switched back to the lower part of the card, blending the Barn Door, and lastly, the Seedless Preserves.

The background was so colorful, that I decided to leave the Wide Vase die cut in white.  I liked the contrast of it against all the colors of the background.  I wanted a simple sentiment that wouldn't overpower the Wide Vase, so used this "Friends" from Elizabeth Craft, cutting it with a card stock that matched a color from the background.  Then, all I had to do was construct the card and add some pearl accents with my Ice White Viva Decor Pearl Pen.

I've had a large collection of Viva Decor Pearl Pens for years and I love them!  There are newer products on the market, but Viva Decor Pearl Pens work great.  It is very easy to control how large the dot of color is, the colors are rich and pure, and there is a lot of product in one pen.  The Dies R Us Store has a limited supply right now, but I hope they re-stock soon because they are one of my favorite supplies in the whole store!  If you haven't tried them, I hope you do.  Dies R Us also offers one of the lowest prices on these Pearl Pens that I've seen.

Products used from the Dies R Us Store:

Seedless Preserves

That's it for my Flower Vase Friendship Card.  I hope you visit the Dies R Us Inspiration blog each day to see the wonderful designs my fellow teammates create.  There is so much inspiration here!  Then, make your own creation and enter the Dies R Us Challenge Blog.  There are great prizes you can win!

What do you mean? Christmas in July at Bugaboo Stamps

Christmas in July at Bugaboo Stamps!  It all starts today on the Catch the Bug Blog and runs for a week.  The challenges will stay open longer than that so you will have time to enter.  See each day's events for the details!

Today, at Catch the Bug, to launch the Festivities with Style, we want you to create a project from one of these 3 movies:

Since I'm such a dog lover, and I watch A Charlie Brown Christmas every year, that's the movie theme I made my project from.  I created a card using the adorable digi, Enough Reindeer:

Isn't that the sweetest?  The Enough Reindeer digi comes with the image and the sentiment. I colored it with Copic markers.

The paw prints is a background stamp I have.  It's from Impression Obsession.  The dots paper is from Echo Park.  The paw print brad has been in my possession since I started this crazy scrapbooking/card making hobby years ago.

That's my DT inspiration for today's movie themed challenge.  They'll be different themes all week, with lots of prizes you can win, all with a Christmas in July theme.  Check the Catch the Bug blog each day to find out what's in store!

Summer Roses -- for Aloha Friday Challenges

It's Friday, and it's time for a little mid-challenge inspiration over on the Aloha Friday Challenge blog. This time, the theme is "Happy Summer".  The challenge goes through July 25.

I used a beautiful image from one of our sponsors, LeAnn's World 101.  This is Roses:

I colored Roses with Copic markers, then fussy cut the image. I  used a sentiment from the We Are 3 Digital Shop. This is one of the Itty Bitty Summer sentiments

The background paper is from Close To My Heart.  It looks embossed, but it comes that way -- I didn't have to do the work.  Nice!  The gold butterfly is a die from Paper Wishes.

Happy Summer -- a great theme for July!  I hope you can join us at Aloha Friday Challenges.  I'd love to see what you make, and we have great sponsors and prizes!

A Christmas Badger -- for Lavinia Challenge Blog

It's Christmas in July -- or at least I'm celebrating it.  I'm also celebrating the fun challenges at Lavinia World Challenge Blog.  Challenges run for 2 weeks, are Anything Goes, but you must use an acrylic or rubber stamp.  You don't have to use a Lavinia Stamp, but if you do, you double your chance of winning the awesome $15 gift certificate.

On this Christmas card, I used the beautiful Badger (LAV443):

I stamped the Badger with Cocoa Brown Memento ink, then used some Copic markers to shade him.  I cut his awesome Santa Hat out on my Silhouette Cameo 3 with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store.  The sentiment is a die, purchased from Dies R Us. Papers are digital, and are from We Are 3 -- they are the Peppermint papers.

The Lavinia World Challenge Blog -- I hope you can join us this next 2 weeks.  I so love seeing what everyone creates with these awesome stamps, and we've got a great gift certificate you can win!

I'd also like to give you a chance to win some blog candy I have.  I turned 60 on July 6th, and I have over $60 of crafty supplies I'm giving away to a lucky winner.  See this post for details on how you can win it.

An Amazing Hummer -- for Scrapy Land Challenges

It's the 3rd Wednesday of the month, and that means it's time for a new challenge over on the Scrapy Land Challenge Blog.  Challenges go for 2 weeks, and are always Anything Goes, as long as you use a die sold in the Scrapy Land Store.  Scrapy Land sells over 55 brands of dies (that equates to hundreds of dies) so you have plenty to choose from!

I love hummingbirds!  They are beautiful, incredible flyers, very spunky, and great fun to watch at a bird feeder.  If you've ever been lucky enough to see a hummingbird nest, it's a sight you'll not soon forget.  So, when I saw this Creative Expressions Triple Layer Collection Hummingbird die, I had to have it!

This particular die has sold out, but there are other Creative Expressions Triple Layer dies in the Scrapy Land Store.  I really like the Triple Layer dies.  They are very easy to work with, and you can use 1, 2, or all 3 layers like I did here.

The outside frame is also from Creative Expressions.  It is no longer available, but is the Poppy Frames & Tags dies set.  I used the outside layers to create this card.

The patterned papers on this card are from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  The metallic paper used with the hummingbird was purchased from Crafters Companion.  The sentiment is an acrylic stamp from Close To My Heart, and the crinkle ribbon is from D.L. Art.

Here's another view where the metallic shine shows a little differently:
I found the hummer a bit difficult to photograph with the reflection of the metallic paper.

Anything Goes with a die from the Scrapy Land Store -- easy, right?  I hope you join us this next 2 weeks!  I'd love to see your creations!

I'd also like to give you a chance to win some blog candy I have.  I turned 60 on July 6th, and I have over $60 of crafty supplies I'm giving away to a lucky winner.  See this post for details on how you can win it.
