Gnome for the Holidays! for Lil' Patch of Crafty Friends

It's with pleasure that I am posting today for the Lil' Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge Blog! My crafty friend, Joy runs the team, and I'm super excited to be on another team with her -- and this time she's my "boss"! It's a great challenge blog (always anything goes with the exception of July where it's a Christmas in July theme), and there's always wonderful sponsors!

Speaking of great sponsors, for the next 2 weeks, our sponsor is Pattie's Creations. Pattie is offering a prize of 2 digis of your choice from her Etsy Shop.  Great prize!

I love gnomes, so when given the opportunity to use this adorable Winter Gnome, I colored it up right away! Here's the card I came up with:

I colored Winter Gnome with a combination of Copic markers and Spectrum Noir markers, then fussy cut it.  The G-N-M-and E were cut out with dies from Spellbinders.  The 'for the holidays is computer generated.  I found that pretty snowflake paper in the AMB Illustrations store, and the blue ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

That's it for my Winter Gnome card.  Come link up a Christmas in July project, or whatever you'd like at Lil' Patch of Crafty Friends, and thanks to Pattie's Creations for her lovely sponsorship!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenge:

A Krafty Snowman -- for the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up

September 1 -- a new month, and another month closer to Christmas! If you make any Christmas cards this month, link them up over at the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up.  You can link up any themed card, but we do have alternate themes.  If you want to win this month's featured paper pack, you need to use the alternate theme -- Kraft paper -- somewhere on your card.

Our sponsor this month is Pattie's Creations.  I colored up this darling Snowman 1, knowing it would look wonderful on Kraft paper!

Was I right?  Isn't Snowman 1 adorable?  I love the look of colored pencils on Kraft paper, so I colored Snowman 1 with Faber Castell colored pencils.

We are sponsored every month by Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.  Lisa creates the papers you can win for following the alternate theme.   The word art paper that I used as the background paper on this card is from her Snow Much Fun kit.

I used the current sketch at the Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge on this.  Here's the sketch:

I used several dies from Spellbinders dies for the circles and the scalloped circles.  The snowflakes are cut out with dies from Lawn Fawn.

As you make Christmas cards this month, don't forget to link up at The 12 Months of Christmas, and make a Kraft card or 2!  You'll want to win our great prizes from our wonderful sponsors!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Joy -- for the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up

It's October 1, and that means the 12 Months of Christmas is starting a new link up.  It also means I have one more Christmas card to add to this years pile of complete cards.  Yes!

This months theme at the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up is "Gear Up for Christmas".  We want to see clothing somewhere on your card -- either on the image or in the papers -- hats, mittens, scarves -- gear you need for winter.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Pattie's Creations.  You'll find her Etsy Shop here.  Decosse's Dynamite Doodles also is sponsoring with a paper for the challenge.

I used the adorable Pearl the Penguin from Pattie's Creations to create this:

I colored Pearl the Penguin with Copic markers.  Papers on this card are from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles

I used a sketch from Sketch Saturday to create this card.

Here's the sketch:

I hope you find time to get at least one Christmas card made this month, and you are able to enter our challenge at The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up.  We've got great sponsors, and I'd love to see your creations!

We're in this Together -- for Path of Positivity Challenge blog

It's the first Monday of February, so we're starting a new challenge at The Path of Positivity Challenge Blog.  This month, the optional theme is 'Shades of Red'.  We'd like 51% of your project to be red to qualify for the prizes.  Our guest sponsors this month are Ike's Art and Pattie's Creations

This card uses a darling image, Watering Can with Cosmos Flowers:

I colored Watering Can with Cosmos with Copic markers, then fussy cut it.  The heart border die on the left of the card is from Technique Tuesday.  The sentiment is from Close To My Heart, cut out with a die from Paper Wishes, as is the gold heart sticker.

The optional 'red' challenge goes on until March 4 at Path of Positivity, or you can link up any positive themed project you'd like.

Let It Snow (Please not YET!) for the 12 Months of Christmas

It's a new month, and that means it's time for a new challenge at The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up.   This month's theme is Anything Goes, as long as it's Christmas!  Yea!

We have 2 wonderful sponsors this month:  Pattie's Creations, and Decosse's Dynamite Doodles

I used a sweet image by Pattie's Creations to make this shaped card for the challenge, and paper pieced some Christmas papers from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.

This is Polar Bear Snow Globe.  I printed it first onto Kraft paper and colored it with Faber-Castell colored pencils.  Then, I printed it again on a piece of Decosse's Dynamite Doodles paper from the 12 Days of Christmas 2015 series and fussy cut the snow globe base, attaching it to the Kraft paper.  I then printed a 3rd copy of Polar Bear Snow Globe on copy paper, fussy cut that, and used it as a template to make the snow globe shaped card.  Once it was cut out, I glued the Polar Bear Snow Globe piece to the front, and Voila! my card was almost done!  All it needed was an appropriate sentiment. I found that at Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. The "Let it Snow" sentiment, complete with snow, tied the card all together.  I printed it on a piece of Decosse's Dynamite Doodles digital paper from Holiday Hoopla textured papers collection.

I hope you join our "Anything Goes as long as it's Christmas" theme this month at The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up.  We have wonderful sponsors, great prizes, and I'd love to see what you create!

With Love -- for Path of Positivity Challenge Blog

It's time for some mid-month inspiration over on the Path of Positivity Challenge blog, where the optional theme this month is, "Faith, Hope, and Love." You can also enter any positive themed entry you would like.

Pattie's Creations is a guest sponsor for us this month.  Using her Two Hearts and Rose digital stamp, I created this:

I colored the Two Hearts & Rose digi stamp with Faber-Castell Polychromos colored pencils, then fussy cut it.

I made the card using dies from Top Dog dies.  The papers are Romantic Set 2 from Imagine That! Digistamp.  The sentiment is a sticker from Paper Wishes.

The 'Faith, Hope, Love' challenge at Path of Positivity goes until July 2.  Please join us!
