Strawberry Season -- for All Dressed Up Stamps

Hello, fellow crafters, and welcome to August!  A new month means a new challenge in the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook Group. The challenge starts today and runs all month.  It has the theme of 'Favorite time of the year'.  You must use an All Dressed Up Stamps image to enter.

I love strawberries and strawberry season!  It's a short season but we make the most of it here in NW WI where I live.  There was numerous places to pick your own berries, various strawberry stands to buy them by the bucket, and a good share of strawberry festivals install towns around here.  We love our berries!  In honoring this special time of year, I colored up and designed with the very cute image, Strawberry Season

I colored Strawberry Season with Copic markers, then using nesting oval dies by Hero arts to cut out the image and back her.  The designer strawberry papers are by AMB Illustrations.  Aren't they perfect for this card?  I decided to go 'old school' and add a little ribbon to this.  It's been so long, I forgot where my ribbon was! The 'sweet' sentiment is part of a new set I got from Concord & 9th.

I hope you can join us this month at All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook Group for our Favorite Time of Year challenge.  I'd love to see your creations!

Use Stash Items -- a New Challenge at Di's Digistamps Challenges

It's Saturday, and that means a challenge is underway at Dis Digistamps Challenges. The challenge will run for the next two weeks.  Use a Di's Digistamps image and increase your chances of winning awesome prizes!! She has so many great ones in her Etsy Shop! The theme for the next 2 weeks is 'use stash items'.  Most of us have been crafting long enough we have a serious amount of items in our stash!  This should be an easy challenge!

Di has some new Fairies in her shop, and I decided to use one of those for this challenge.  I chose 'Sleeping Moon Fairy'.  It comes in both black & white and pre-colored, but I chose the black and white version, so I could color it. I also thought it would be fun to make it into a rocking card:

I colored Sleeping Moon Fairy  with Copic markers, a long-time stash item for me.  Then, I fussy cut her out using my favorite detail scissors from Close To My Heart that I've had for years (so, another stash item).  The circle die she is mounted on is from Hero Arts.  I have many of their nesting dies in my stash and use them all the time. Some of the first dies I ever bought were from Spellbinders.  I thought it only right that I use a Spellbinders die on this project, so the scalloped circle die is from that company.  The sentiment is from one of my favorite companies, Taylored Expressions.  I stamped it, then used the coordinating die to cut it out several times.

That's my card for the 'Use Stash Items' challenge at Di's Digistamps Challenges. Please join us!  I'd love to see your creations!

Small Things, Great Love -- For Di's Digistamps

Hi, and thanks for stopping by!  It's Saturday, and time for a new challenge at Di's Digistamps Challenges. The challenge runs for 2 weeks with the theme of Sentimentally Yours (use a sentiment).  Now, that's an easy theme!  Use a Di's Digistamps image and increase your odds of winning a great prize.  She has such great ones in her Etsy shop and she's always adding new ones, too. Plus, they are often on sale!

For this Sentimentally Yours challenge, I used the darling Daisy Mouse image:

I colored Daisy Mouse with a combination of Copic and Olo markers.  I am smitten with how sweet this image is!  I used arched nesting dies by Hero Arts to cut out the image and back it.  The backing paper and the dotted background paper are both by Pink & Main.  The sentiment and die used to cut it out are by Taylored Expressions.  The sequins I used to finish off the card are by Nuvo.

Two Little Mice -- for All Dressed Up Stamps

Thanks for visiting my blog today!  I can't believe that we are to March already.  These years never slow down.  March 1 means a new challenge has started the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook group.  The theme this month is, "Animals All Around".  I've been wanting to color up these two cute mice, so this was the perfect opportunity.  Here is 'Two Little Mice'.

I colored Two Little Mice with Copic markers.  I used two dies from a Hero Arts square die stacking set.  I created a frame with them. The designer papers are old ones from Crafter's Companion.  The flowers in 2 of the corners were made with dies by Spellbinders.  They have a best flower dies! The darling sentiment is part of a Hero Arts stamp set.

I hope you can join us this month in the All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook group.  I'd love to see what you create with our 'Animals all Over' theme.

Have a Mice Birthday -- for Di's Digistamps Challenges

Hello!  Thanks for visiting my blog today.  I hope you had a great Valentine's Day yesterday.  Nothing too elaborate here:  just a day with my sweetheart husband and my sweetheart dog.

It's time for a new challenge at Di's Digistamps challenges. The challenge that starts today will run for 2 weeks.  The theme is 'Circles Everywhere'.  We'd love to see you use a Di's image, but it's not a requirement.

I used the darling image.'Have a Mice Day' for the circles challenge:

I might have gotten a bit carried away with the 'circles' theme, lol!

I colored Have a Mice Day with a combination of Copic and Olo markers. I used cutting dies from Hero Arts to cut out and back the image.  I also used the set on the sentiment (computer generated).  The circles paper was found at Digital Scrapbook.  I made this into a 5x7 card, inking the edges of the digital paper with black ink to draw the eye inward.

I hope you will join us this week at Di's Digistamps Challenges. I'd love to see your take on the 'Circles' challenge.  You have 2 weeks to join us!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Passion for markers -- use red &/or pink

Snowy Day -- For All Dressed Up Stamps

It's February 1, and it's time for the first challenge of the year at All Dressed Up Stamps Facebook Group.  The theme of the challenge this month is 'For the Girls'.  Wendy has dozens and dozens of adorable images that fit this theme in the ADU Store.  Check them out!

Since it's bitterly cold where I live this time of year (-11F today with windchills of -24), I wanted to work on an image that would fit my mood.  Snowy Days fit the challenge theme and my cold, cold feet, lol!

I colored Snowy Days with a combination of Copic markers and Olo Markers.  I was originally going to cut her out, but I didn't want to lost the snowflakes that adorn the image.  I cut her out with a stitched rectangle die from Taylored Expressions instead.  I made the background using a piece of Arctic card stock from Hero Arts.  I blended 3 shades of Taylored Expressions inks around the outside edges, then used Unicorn White pigment ink by Hero Arts and a small dotted stencil from Taylored Expressions.  The sentiment and the backer are from Pink & Main.  I thought it was perfect for this image.

The challenge ate All Dressed Up Stamps facebook group goes all February.  I hope you can join in the fun! I'd love to see your creations.

In Sympathy --- using Hero Arts

Greetings, crafty friends!  I hope you are enjoying the holiday season. Even though it's the holidays, the need for sympathy cards continues.  I have 2 to share with you today.

When I need sympathy cards, I often reach for a stamp and doe set from Hero Arts.  It's called the Hero Arts With Sympathy Bundle .  I used different color ways on these 2 cards, but the same basic design:

I like creating my own background paper, and I did that here using watermark ink and clear embossing powder.   I stamped and colored up several of the floral designs in the bundle, but decided to keep it very simple.  They were colored with Copic markers and cut out with the matching dies in the set.  I heat stamped the sentiment and several extra layers, glued them together, and had some dimension for my card.  The vellum was cut using the Hero Arts circle infinity dies.  HA vellum is the thickest I've ever used.  It has become my favorite vellum.

Here's a close up of each card.  The first uses Pesto card stock:

The second card uses Peacock card stock:

Supplies used on the cards:

vellum
Circle infinity dies

Thanks for visiting today!

Happy 2025! A New Release at All Dressed Up Stamps

Here it is, the first card I created for the year fast approaching.  It's a new release from All Dressed Up Stamps.  Wendy Burns releases 3 images each month and the design team showcases them at various times throughout the month.  Today, I had the honor of creating with 'Happy 2025':

I colored 'Happy 2025' with Copic markers. I used 2 different hexagon dies from Taylored Expressions to cut her out and add the embossed details.  I then got out my circle dies to add some festive color and to create the round card base.  The Happy New Year sentiment is a rub on  from Hero Arts.  They have the best rub-ons I've ever used.

There she is, wishing you an outstanding new year!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Prickle All the Way -- for Di's Digistamps Challenge

Happy holidays and thanks for visiting my blog!  This is it, my final Christmas card of 2025 (or possibly for 2026).  I'm in the process of sending out cards and I think I have enough for this season.  Yeah!

Today is the start of a new challenge at Di's Digistamps Challenges.  The theme for the next 2 weeks is 'Winter Holidays'.  Di has so, so many cute digis for the winter/Christmas season.  Check out her Etsy shop and see for yourself!

I used the darling image Prickle all the Way for today's card:

I colored Prickle All the Way with Copic markers.  I used new elongated circle dies with a blanket stitch edge (Pinkfresh Studios) to cut out and back the Prickle image. The blue snowflake designer paper is from Crafter's Companion. The sentiment is a stamp/die combo from Hero Arts.  I kept the card simple because I love the Prickle all the Way image and wanted it to be the focus of the card, with no distractions.

I hope you can join us this fortnight for our Winter/Christmas holidays challenge.  I'd love to see what you create!!

Holly Jolly Mice -- for Di's Digistamps

December -- are your Christmas cards done?  I'm sharing another one I made today, just in case I need it. You'd think I'd know exactly how many I need, but honestly, I never exactly know.  So, therefore, here's another to add to the growing pile.

I made this with a Di's Digistamp image.  I just love her stamps, and color them up whenever I have a chance.  They are so precious! This card is made using Holly Jolly Mice:

I colored up Holly Jolly Mice using Copic markers.  I thought a circle die best fit the shape of the Holly Jolly Mice digi, and I tried a few different shapes.  The designer papers are from Crafter's Companion.  The sentiment is from a Pink & Main stamp set.  Thek die cut snowflakes are from my stash.  I've had them for years.

Winter Walk -- in Tribute at The Paper Shelter

Greetings, my crafty friends!  Thank you for visiting my blog today.  The entire The Paper Shelter team is having a two-week challenge in memory of Veronica, the former owner of The Paper Shelter. Se died a short time ago.  She loved the store, the blog, and seeing everyone's creations with her and her husband, Pedro's images.

I used one of my favorite images from her to create a card for today's tribute.  I suspect Veronica was just as much of a dog lover as I am, because she has soooo many darling images with dogs in them.  Today, I created a card using Winter Walk.  Just looking at this image makes me smile!

I colored Winter Walk with a combination of Copic and Olo markers.  I used a set of mini slim dies from Spellbinders to cut out the Winter Walk image and mat it. The designer paper is the background is from Crafter's Companion.  It's part of a 12x12 Christmas pad I've had for quite a while.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts and the gems are from Taylored Expressions.

I hope you can join us this next 2 weeks paying tribute to our beloved Veronica. Also, please visit the blogs in this hop to see all the inspiration and give them some love.

My Big Scarf -- for The Paper Shelter

Hello, fellow crafters!  Thanks for stopping by today.  It's  time for a new challenge at The Paper Shelter Challenge Blog.  The theme for challenge #618 is 'Dots &/or Stripes'.  I love combining dots & stripes, so this was a fun challenge for me.  Have you visited the Paper Shelter store lately?  There are so many fantastic sets to color, and each set comes with a pre-colored image, if coloring isn''t your thing.  There are also wonderful coloring books and pages.

For this week's dots & stripes theme, I used the image, My Big Scarf

I started out by coloring the .jpg image of My Big Scarf with Copic markers, then started the hunt for dots & stripes papers to match the colors of the My Big Scarf image. I found both dots & stripes to match in a retired paper collection from Taylored Expressions.

I created the card with mini slim cutting dies from Pink & Main.  They made constructing this card very easy. The sentiment is from a stamp & die set from Hero Arts. The gems to complete the card are by Altenew.

The above graphic explains the the prizes given away each week at The Paper Shelter Challenges.  I hope you enter because I'd love to see what you create!

Thanks for stopping by!

I stamped the sentiment with a stamp set from Hero Arts.  The pretty spring papers are from Newton's Nook.  I cut the Garden Wheelbarrow image out with double stitched dies from The Scrappimg Cottage.  The watering can die is by Crafter's Companion.

Star Pup -- for All Dressed Up Stamps

It's almost Christmas!  I hope you are almost ready.  Merry Christmas to you and yours.

It's the 22nd of the month, which means it's time for the All Dressed Up Stamps design team to feature this month's new releases. There are 3.  I had the great privilege of creating with Star Pup.  As always, this image is paw-sitively adorable!

Here's Star Pup, celebrating a birthday:

Star Pup is saying, "Let's Paw-ty", although it's terribly hard to read. I colored  Star Pup with Copic markers.  I used dies from Hero Arts to cut out the stats and the stitched circle. The papers are from Newton's Nook.

You'll find two challenges each month at All Dressed Up Stamps.  There is one in the ADU Facebook Group and one on the challenge  blog.  We are taking the month of January off to give the team a break.
