Lil Lovely Hearts -- for Scrapbook Stamp Society

I'm on the Scrapbook Stamp Society blog today with this fun digi, Lil Lovely Hearts.

I used Copic markers, distress inks, color pencils, and gel pens on this little beauty, Lil Lovely Hearts.  You can find her, and many, many fantastic images, in the My Besties Shop.

The card was cut out on my Silhouette Cameo 3, using a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store.  The 3D banner is a die from Close To My Heart.  The sentiment is computer generated. The gold heart stickers are from Paper Wishes.

Thanks for visiting today, Julie

Think Spring! for QKR Stampede

Friday!  Fri-yay!   We've gotten lots of fresh snow this week here in Northwest Wisconsin, so I thought this snowman would be in vogue for this week's Anything Goes challenge at QKR Stampede Challenge Blog.  I don't know about you, but I'm thinking spring, and I think he is, too!

I hope he realizes that the same sun he's hoping for will be the end of him for the season!  This is QKR Stampede digi image Tan Snowman (Q-digi14702)  I colored the Tan Snowman with Copic markers, then used a die from Lawn Fawn to cut it out.  The card base is a cutting file from The Silhouette Design Store and was cut out on my Silhouette Cameo 3.  The sentiment is computer generated.  The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I hope you can join us this week at QKR Stampede for our Anything Goes challenge.  I'd love to see what you create!

Happy Birthday -- to The Outlawz!

The Outlawz Challenges has turned 7!  They are celebrating in a number of ways.  One of them is by giving away a free digi (thank you, Sheepski Designs!) for crafters to create with.  I love sunflowers, so I just had to play along!

I colored the sunflowers with Copic markers.  The papers on this card are from MHKDesigns.  Love the sunflowers in the background!  Since the card is for a birthday celebration, I just had to make it into a birthday card!  The sentiment is from an old set I've had forever from a company no longer in business (a real acrylic stamp -- I never use them anymore!!)  The shimmer trim is from Close To My Heart.  The dies behind the sunflower are from Spellbinders, and the die used to cut out the sentiment is from Paper Wishes.

That's it for this post!  Enjoy the celebration!

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Outlawz Special Challenge -- 7th birthday
Inspiration Destination Challenge Blog -- optional theme, use a real stamp.  I did!!

Birthday Wishes -- Outlawz Monthly Progressive Challenge

I'm trying to play along with the Outlawz Monthly Progressive Challenge.  I really like this month's image called Wild Rose from Beccy's Place.

I colored the Wild Rose image with Copic markers.  I didn't plan to fussy cut it, but a blop if ink made me do it, LOL.

The sentiment is from Power Poppy.  The digital background paper is from MHKDesigns. The stitched oval die is from Die-namics.

See you at The Outlawz!

I Woof You! for the Path of Positivity Challenge Blog

It's time for some mid-month inspiration over at the Path of Positivity Challenge blog.  This month's optional theme is the color red.  Our guest sponsors this month are Ike's Art and Pattie's Creations

I had the great fun of working with this image from Ike's Art, Puppy Love:

I colored Puppy Love with Copic markers, computer generating the sentiment in the middle of the heart.  This was my husband's Valentine's Day card from our Golden Retriever, Gracie.  She is very blonde, so I made this a light colored Golden. Here she is, sending you valentine wishes.

The red background paper on this is a digital paper from Imagine That! Digistamp.  I created the heart shaped card using dies from Top Dog Dies (no longer in business).  The paw print brad is from Paper Wishes.

Red.  It's such a good color for Valentine's day, but it's also a great color for our cold, white and gray winter months.  I like bright, happy colors this time of year!

I hope you find time to join us yet this month at The Path of Positivity Challenge Blog.  This challenge goes until March 4.  You can enter the optional 'red' challenge, or anything positive or inspirational that you'd like.

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

Downhill Olympic Dog -- for QKR Stampede

Have you been watching the Olympics?  This card, for today's QKR Stampede challenge, is in honor of the Winter Olympics.

This card uses QKR Stampede digital image, Cross country Skiing (Q-digi9208), colored with Copic markers and fussy cut.  The snow background was cut out on my Silhouette Cameo 3 with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store.  I created the snow banks by cutting white paper into "hills".   The sentiment was computer generated for my brother's birthday.  He's been a ski patrol and ski instructor for over 30 years, so I thought he'd appreciate this hard working skier!

The challenges at QKR Stampede are always Anything Goes, and start each Friday.  I hope you can join us!

You Fill My Heart with Joy -- for DigiStamps4Joy Challenge Blog

Did you have a good Valentine's Day?  I hope so!  We've been celebrating all week at the nursing home, with festivities continuing today with the Sweetheart dinner and entertainment.

It's the 15th of the month, and it's time for some mid-month inspiration at the DigiStamps4Joy Challenge Blog.  The Theme is 'Anything Goes with optional "I Love You"'.

Since I'm posting the day AFTER Valentine's Day, I went for a card that could be used as a friendship or Valentine card:

This card uses Vase of Hearts (MP050).  I colored Vase of Hearts with Copic markers, then used a Spellbinders die to cut it out.  The designer papers are digital.  The card base was cut out on my Silhouette Cameo 3, with a file by Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons. Speaking of ribbon, that pretty pink ribbon is from Really Reasonable ribbon and ties like a dream. The sentiment was computer generated and cut out with a die from Paper Wishes.

I loved coloring Vase of Hearts. It could be colored in so many different color combinations and used for many different occasions.

Celebrate Wine Bottle Box -- for Simply Crafty SVG's

Happy Valentine's Day!  The day to celebrate love and friendship and relationships is upon us.

Today is also the first time I am posting for Simply Crafty SVG's.  I recently discovered the Simply Crafty SVG store and fell in love with Sandy's designs -- easy to construct, look great, easy to follow tutorials, plenty of freebies -- what's not to love, right?  If you haven't discovered Simply Crafty SVG's yet, check it out for yourself!

I thought today, being Valentine's Day, would be a great day to showcase this Wine Bottle Box:

I cut out all the pieces for this Wine Bottle Box, then glued the panels of the box (flowered paper) to the sea foam card stock.  Not all wine bottles are created equal.  I believe the neck on this bottle is particularly short.  I needed to do some altering of the original pattern, cutting down the width of both the card stock and the designer paper, but adding a 1/2 inch to the length of both of them.

The tags come with some print and cut options.  I chose to stamp my own and add a die cut wine glass that I thought fit the theme to perfection.  A champagne colored ribbon woven through the Wine Bottle Box, tied in a bow, and my project is complete.

You'll be seeing more awesome Simply Crafty SVG's projects from me as time goes on.  In the meantime, don't forget to check out the Simply Crafty SVG's store for yourself. If your hurry, all Valentine's Day files are 20% off!

I'm Itching to be your Valentine! for QKR Stampede

It's Fri-yay!  And it's very close to Valentine's Day!  Since this is the last challenge at QKR Stampede Challenge blog before Valentine's Day, I thought I'd post one last card for the occasion today using a QKR Stampede image.

This card uses Itching Valentine (ES-digi1201)and Itching Valentine Sentiment (ES-digi1107):

I colored Itching Valentine (well, actually, shaded it) with Copic markers. The designer paper, cut in a banner shape, is from Paper Whimsies.  The gold heart stickers are from Paper Wishes.

QKR Stampede is a weekly challenge blog, and the challenges are Anything Goes, so I hope you can join us!  We have wonderful digis you can win (like these!!)

We're in this Together -- for Path of Positivity Challenge blog

It's the first Monday of February, so we're starting a new challenge at The Path of Positivity Challenge Blog.  This month, the optional theme is 'Shades of Red'.  We'd like 51% of your project to be red to qualify for the prizes.  Our guest sponsors this month are Ike's Art and Pattie's Creations

This card uses a darling image, Watering Can with Cosmos Flowers:

I colored Watering Can with Cosmos with Copic markers, then fussy cut it.  The heart border die on the left of the card is from Technique Tuesday.  The sentiment is from Close To My Heart, cut out with a die from Paper Wishes, as is the gold heart sticker.

The optional 'red' challenge goes on until March 4 at Path of Positivity, or you can link up any positive themed project you'd like.

Jelly Bean Time! for Bloobel Stamps

My first Easter card of 2018!  This one is part of a "family" of stamps that Lisa Bloobel released this weekend, called eggheads.  They are all very cute and very funny.  You'll find that at Bloobel.com, along with all kind of other quirky, funny, gotta have digis to add to your collection.  Shop on!

I introduce you to Dog Egghead!

I colored Dog Egghead with Copic markers.  He definitely seems like he's an overeater to me, hence the computer generated sentiment!  I'm very glad my puppy, Gracie doesn't look like this!

Isn't she beautiful?  No Dog Egghead look for her!

I thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon creating with this digi from Bloobel Stamps.  Check out the store for yourself!

Sending Love to Dawn Blog Hop -- with MHKDesigns

Sometimes life can be tough.  That's when you need your friends.  Recently one of the MHKDesigners, Dawn, lost her mother-in-law. To make things worse, she's been ill herself.  The MHKDesigners have banded together to show our support and send her some cyber love.  Dawn, may you feel surrounded by tenderness today and know that I care.  I've been there.  I've lost my mother, my father, and my father-in-law and been through serious illness.  It hurts.  Friends make the burden lighter.  So does our faith, and I know yours is strong.  Keep praying, friend, and God we see you through to the other side!

Today's blog hop begin's at the MHKDesigns blog, if you get lost along the way.

You should have come here from Jess'es blog.  Wasn't her card beautiful?

Dawn, this card is for you:

This card used the following MHKDesigns products:

There's more inspiration ahead, so hop along to the uber talented Em!

Super Bowl Snowman -- for QKR Stampede

It's almost the Super Bowl!  I don't generally pay too much attention to football, but this year's Super Bowl is only 90 miles away from me, so there's been a lot of hype on the news stations we watch.  Plus, I know a lot of diehard football fans that will be glued to the game!  This card is for all of them!!  It's also for this week's Anything Goes Challenge at QKR Stampede Challenge Blog!!!!!

This adorable snowman is running as fast as he can to either make it to the goal line, or escape winter, I'm not sure which!  Notice he's wearing Packer colors.  I AM from Wisconsin, after all!

This card uses 2 QKR Stampede images, Football Snowman (Q-digi14620), colored with Copic markers and Kick Out of You (Q-digi15107).

I cut the card out on my Silhouette Cameo 3, with a file I found in the Silhouette Design Store.  I really think the Football Snowman is dodging those snowflakes!

I hope you can join us this week at QKR Stampede Challenge Blog for our Anything Goes themed challenge.  I'd love to see your creation, and we've got great digis you can win.  Like this one!

Happy Howl-idays! for the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up

It's February, it's February!  It's already February!  How did THAT happen?!?  These months go so fast!

February first means it's time for a new challenge at the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up, where this month's optional theme is, Make a (Christmas) Card for a Loved One.  Our guest sponsor this month is Mari's Digis.  As always, you have a chance to win wonderful papers by linking up 2 Christmas cards, designed by Decosse's Dynamite Doodles

Two of my best 2-legged friends won't be without at least one 4-legged friend in their house.  This card is for one of them for Christmas next year:

This is B62, Christmas Song, colored with Copic markers, using colors that will match Decosse's Dynamite Doodles Winter World of Love papers.

The dies are from Die-namics.  The snowflake stickers are from Paper Wishes.  The sentiment was computer generated.

I hope you join us this month at The 12 Months of Christmas Link Up.  It's such a great way to get a jump start on Christmas cards, and we've got wonderful prizes!  You've got until Feb 28.  Get creating!

You Rock My world -- for MHKDesigns

You Rock!  You really do!  I'm so glad you stopped by for a visit!  And, it's a new month.  So, it's time for a new challenge at MHKDesigns Challenge blog, where the challenges are Anything Goes if you use an MHKDesigns image (and there are SO many awesome ones!!!)  Plus, if you win, you get EVEN more!!!  Woohoo!  There's an inspiration picture if you don't use an MHKDesigns image, and it's awesome, too.  I took some colors out of the picture for this card:

I wanted something a little out of the ordinary for my hubby's Valentine's Day card (please don't tell him you saw it before he did), and I thought this would work great.  He loves geography and all this travel, so the globe from the Rock My World stamp set, the World Traveler Digital papers, and the awesome sentiment (also from Rock My World made this card easy to create.

MHKDesigns products used on this card:
