Feeling Grateful -- for 3 Girl JAM

It's Friday, and I'm posting today for 3 Girl JAM.  It's always a pleasure to be able to share some inspiration using my favorite 3 Girl JAM products! I am most grateful for the opportunity to be on the 3 Girl JAM team -- we are a small family - and this card reflects my feelings for my fellow teammates.

I used 3 Girl JAM Baby Boy Blue crinkle ribbon from the Baby Bundle and some of the new Bright Blue Diagonal Striped Ribbon.
The pumpkin trio shaped card is a cutting file from The Cutting Cafe.  The sentiment is from Unity Stamp Company. This is part of  a Stamp of the Week. It is one of my new favorite sentiments -- I have so much to be thankful for!
There's still time to link up to the 3 Girl JAM Spooky or Creepy Challenge, too.

I'm also linking this up with Unity's Friends With Flair
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Crafting Musketeers -- Autumn Colors
Red Rubber Inspirationals -- Pumpkin Patch
Scrapbooker PhD -- Fall with a Diecut and a Stamp

A Thankful Heart -- for Timeless Twine

It's Monday, and I have the privilege of posting today on the Timeless Twine blog.  I come to you today with a thankful heart.  I don't take enough time to really look at my life and count my many, many blessings.  Some things happened over the last few days that made me do just that.  This card reflects my thankfulness for many things, including you, my loyal blog readers.
This month, at Timeless Twine, we are using this for our inspiration:

I used the photo and the twine colors to create this:

I used some watercolor paper, distress inks and a water brush, and used a Stamp of the Week from Unity Stamp Company. The sentiment is part of the stamp set.
The designer paper is Close To My Heart Pathfinding Collection.  The chipboard leaves are from UmWow Studio.
Twine colors used:

I hope you're heart is thankful and grateful this Monday, and throughout the week.  Happy Fall!
I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:
Artistic Stamper -- Fall/Autumn Colors
Bearly Mine Challenges --Autumnal Colors
Color Me Scrappy -- Signs of Fall
The Outlawz Monday Challenges -- Greetings (Fall is coming)

It's Canning Season!

Hello, and happy Friday!  It's canning season here in my neck of the woods.  I don't can, but I sure love it when my friends do, and bring me some canned goods.  It seems you can can just about anything -- pickles, beets, watermelon, peaches, green beans, even venison.  I have a fondness for canning jars, so I've loved these canning jar files from My Scrap Chick for a long time now.  They were one of the first files I ever bought from the company.  Combine them with some 3 Girl JAM ribbon, and these could win blue ribbons at the fair!

I used the My Scrap Chick Canning Jars/Preserves cutting files. There are 3 different patterns.  I used 2 of them.  On two of the cards, I added some Gold Crown 3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon from the Royal Bundle
Here's a couple of close ups:

On this second card, I used a Unity Stamp of the Week for the sentiment.
The papers for these cards are a retired pack from Close To My Heart.  I thought they worked well for these canning jars.
Today is my last post for My Scrap Chick.  I have very much enjoyed working with their incredible files.  This may be my last design team project, but you will definitely see more My Scrap Chick files on my blog.  I love their files as much now as I did when I first discovered them.  They are a great company.  And, I don't have to tell you how much I LOVE 3 Girl JAM ribbon!

Sending Happy Your Way

It's Friday, and today I'm posting for Pinque Peacock.  I'm also combining it with Unity Friends With Flair.  I love using Pinque Peacock products on my projects.  They finish them off "oh-so-pretty" -- as you will see!
I made a card with happy colors and a happy theme today.  After all, it's FRIDAY!

I stamped this happy image, then colored it with some bright colored Copic markers.  I mounted it on bright papers, and found a great Large Layered Garden Beauty from Pinque Peacock to pull the card all together.
The stamp is from Unity's Stamp of the Week collection, and is called, ironically, "Sending Happy Your Way."

I have a giveaway going on, celebrating several events: I wrote my 500th blog post this week, I just reached 400 followers on my blog, and I have over 100 "likes" on my Facebook page, Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers.  To celebrate all those things,  I'm having a giveaway:  I have some Timeless Twine, some 3 Girl JAM ribbon, a Unity stamp set, a Close To My Heart stamp set, some Pinque Peacock embellishments, a 6x6 paper pad, and various embellishments that I need a home for. I also have two generous sponsors:  DigiStamps4Joy is giving a $10 gift certificate to the store, and The Cutting Cafe is offering any 3 sets.  WOW! If you'd like to be eligible to win, please leave a comment on any of my blog posts between now and July 6.  I'll draw a winner on my birthday.  It's my day, and you get the present!  I'd also love it if you "like" my Facebook page and follow my blog, if you don't already.

I hope you have great plans for the weekend!

We were all given this coming week's Unity Stamp of the Week to work with.  You'll see 7 different takes on the same stamp -- fun idea!
I love shaped cards, so here's what I did:

I started out making my shaped card.  It is a cutting file from The Cutting Cafe. You can find it HERE.  The papers are from October Afternoon, and are actually Christmas papers, but I liked the colors for a strawberry.  After I got the shaped card assembled, I stamped the berries image on watercolor paper.  I used my Tim Holtz distress markers and water, with a paint brush, and painted the berries.  I stamped the sentiment directly on the DP.  A little embellishing with 3 Girl JAM ribbon and some bling from Close To My Heart, and my card was complete.
Before I send you off hopping, I want to offer you a little blog candy.  I am a Unity Stamp of the Week member, so I will get 2 of these stamp sets.  If you would like one for yourself, please follow my blog.  In your comments, tell my that you would like the set, and I'll include you in the drawing.  I'll announce the winner next Friday at Friends With Flair.
Now off you go to the fabulously talented Karen's blog.  You'll love what she did with this set!

Hurray, hurray, for Friday!

I like Saturdays and Sundays and sometimes another day,
bur Fridays, they really speak!
(and that was a really lame poem!)
I have a card to share with you today that I'm entering in the Unity {Be Inspired} Challenge.  I used the colors from the challenge, and I tried my best to use the sketch, but couldn't help myself.  I modified it a bit.

Here's what I came up with:

I used a Stamp of the Week, "Some Bunny Thinking of You" and colored the image with Copic markers.  Papers are My Mind's Eye Indie Chic Nutmeg 6x6 pad. Rhinestones are from my stash. I used a couple Spellbinders Label dies and some rhinestones from my stash.
Today is the day that I can let the cat out of the bag! I am on the design team for My Scrap Chick! They have some of the cutest cutting files EVER! Here's several projects I've made using their files -- you may have seen them on my blog in the past:

Another Friday, another Friends With Flair!

I want to thank all of you for you kind, sweet, touching comments on the loss of my dog, Molly last week.  You touch my heart greatly, and helped in the healing process.  Thank you for letting me use this FWF platform to share my grief.  Thank you for your understanding.

This week's post will be more upbeat, I hope!

I am sharing a Father's Day card that I made for my father-in-law.  My husband and his father are very close.  I wanted to make a card that would show this love.  Here's what I came up with:

The anchor image and sentiment are both a Unity stamp of the week.  I fussy cut the anchor, wrapped it in some Berries Jubilee Trendy Twine, and used foam tape to mount it. The designer papers are Fancy Pants By the Shore 6x6.  I used a Lifestyle circle die to get that perfect circle.  The red bling is from Close To My Heart.
I think that's it for me today. There's a few red, white, and blue challenges I'm going to link this up with.  Have a great weekend!

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Reasonable Ribbon's -- I'm seeing Dots and Ribbons challenge #74
