Sweet Bunny -- for Ching-Chou Kuik

Greetings, everyone!  I am posting today on the Ching-Chou Kuik Challenge & Inspiration BlogWe have a new challenge getting underway on the CCK blog.  This month, our theme is 4-legged friends.  My 4-legged friends mean as much to me as some of me 2-legged friends, so I highly approved of this theme!

There are some wonderful images in the GJZCCK Etsy Shop that are perfect for this theme, including Sweet Bunny, which I used on this card:

I used the black & white version here of Sweet Bunny, then colored it with Copic markers.   I cut her out and backed her with nesting dies by Crafter's Companion.  The stitched background is a die from Diamond Press.  The sentiment is computer generated and cut out with banner die by Crafter's Companion. I used my We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper on this, too.

You'll find wonderful inspiration on the Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration & Challenge Blog, so check there often.  You'll find another challenge and more inspiration in the CCK Facebook group

I'd like to enter this in the following challenges:

A Tail of Two Hearts -- for Di's Digi Stamps

It's Saturday, and it's time for a new challenge at Di's Digi Designs Challenge Blog.  Challenges run for 2 weeks, and have a theme.  For the next 2 weeks, the theme is "All About Love!"  That's a good theme to get us through Valentine's Day and beyond!

Di's Digi Stamps has some of the cutest, most whimsical digis in the world to color up!  For this challenge, I used Tails Together Mice to create this:

I used the black & white version of Tails Together Mice,  and colored it with Copic markers, but there's also a colored version, if you prefer. After coloring it, I fussy cut the Tails Together Mice

Since this is going to be a Valentine's Day card, I wanted a big, bold heart on this card.  I found a Spellbinder's die heart that I thought would frame the Tails Together Mice wonderfully, so I cut out a big teal heart with it.  Before I cut it though, I printed the "You Have My Heart" sentiment on the card stock.  The sentiment is from We Are 3 Digital Shop.  It is from the Valentine's Sentiment Collection.  The teal background paper, also from We Are 3, is part of the Touch of Teal paper collection.  The flowers were cut out and layered with a die from Spellbinders.  The pearls were from my stash.

I hope you can join us over the next 2 weeks at Di's Digi Designs Challenge Blog for our "All About Love" challenge.  I'd love to see what you create, and Di has the best digis for you to win!

Perk Up! a Bugaboo Stamps New Release

Perk Up!  It's Tuesday!  And that's new release day at Bugaboo Stamps!  If you're a coffee drinker, or know someone who is (hard not to!), you'll love today's new release, Coffee Time.

I colored Coffee Time with Copic markers.  The sentiment is part of the set.  I think this will make a darling get well card.

I find the papers at Pixel Scrapper.  I really like the coffee cup paper.  I used a past sketch from Sketch Saturday.  They are a great resource when looking for a little inspiration!

The checked ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I've had it for a long time, waiting for the perfect card to use it on.  I think I finally found it.

The circle dies are from Craftin' Desert Divas.   I also used my We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper (3/8 inch) on this card.

New Release Tuesday at Bugaboo Stamps!  What a great day to Perk Up!

Flamingo Couple -- for Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez

It's nowhere near Valentine's Day, but anytime is the right time to say, "I love you."  I like to give my sweetie sentimental cards "just because."  I'm a card maker.  My husband should get a few of my creations, right?

Well, this one is for the hubs, for no special occasion at all, besides he's a special guy.

This card uses Flamingo Couple from Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez, colored with Shinhan markers.   I was trying out some new (for me) alcohol markers, and I don't have too many color choices of Shinhan Touch Twin markers, so my shading on the Flamingo Couple is pretty limited.

I found a lot of digital flamingo paper, but finding some with brown in it to match those cattails proved a challenge.  I found this at Imagine That! Digistamp.  It's from the Tropical Breeze digital paper collection.  The pink ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

There are many cute and fabulous stamps in the Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez Store.  Check it out and do some shopping for yourself!  Check out the Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez Facebook Group, too, for a monthly challenge, more inspiration, and FUN!

Poof! You're 29! for Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez

Wouldn't it be wonderful to have a fairy godmother, where she could grant wishes like, "poof, you're 29 again?"  Well, maybe not 29, but 39 or even 49 sound good when I'm fast approaching 59!

This adorable Fairy Flying from Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez is granting birthday wishes today:

Fairy Flying is a digital stamp.  I made her quite large so she'd be the focal point of the card.  I colored Fairy Flying with Copic markers.  The potion paper behind her, that helped her cast her magic spell, is also from Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez.  It's the Science Digital paper pack

The sentiment on this card is from Whimsy Stamps.  If only it were true!  The crinkle ribbon is from a company that is out of business -- 3 Girl JAM.  The card stock is from my stash.  I used my We R Memory Keepers scalloped Corner Chomper on this card, and a Spellbinders die set.

I am in my 3rd month of guest designing for Kinda Cute by Patricia
Alvarez and it has been pure joy!  I am having so much fun with the wonderful images and papers.  Thanks to Patricia and her team for allowing me this experience!  There is a monthly Facebook Challenge to check out here, and an active blog with work from Patricia and the design team here.

Inspired by Winnie the Pooh -- for Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez

Are you a Winnie the Pooh fan?  I think he is one of the wisest bears I've ever met, and we can all learn a lot from his wisdom.  He inspired me on the card I created today for Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez.  As soon as I saw this Bear & Beehive digital stamp, I knew a Winnie the Pooh quote would work perfectly with it.  And, I had my quote in mind!

I colored the Bear & Beehive digital stamp with Copic markers.  The quote is from Winnie the Pooh.  It is one of many great quotes from the the books.  Wise old bear!

The beehive-looking embossed background is an embossing folder from Close To My Heart.  The dots paper was laying on my desk.  I know it's digital, but don't remember now where I printed it from.  Short memory!!   I cut Bear & Beehive out with a Spellbinders die. I used one of my We R Memory Keepers corner choppers on this card.

I hope you check out the Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez store.  She has darling stamps -- both clear acrylic and digital.  She also has some digital papers, printable cards, Zazzle files, and freebies.  It's worth a snoop around for sure!  Check out her Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez blog, where many of her images are featured by herself and the design team.  You won't be disappointed! You'll find the Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez Facebook Group here, and there's a monthly Anything Goes challenge we'd love to have you participate in!

Friend to Friend, for QKR Stampede

Woohoo, hoo!  It's Friday again!  I hope you have had a good week.  It's been a cold, snowy one here where I live, with no sign of spring.  But it's coming, right?  To make me feel a bit more in a spring-like mood, I've been coloring flowers every chance I get! I colored up these beauties from QKR Stampede for this week's QKR Stampede Anything Goes challenge:

I used QKR Stampede digital stamp Q-digi16220 on this card, colored with Copic markers.  The sentiment is from their sister company, Eureka Stamps.  It's also a digi, and is ES-digi20101

I created the card using Spellbinders dies, and papers from Close To My Heart.  The crinkle ribbon is from a company that closed their doors, but I still have tons of their ribbon -- 3 Girl JAM.  I also used my We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper (scalloped) on this card.

I hope you find time this week to join us at QKR Stampede for our Anything Goes Challenge.  I'd love to see your creations, and we've got great digis you can win (like this one!).

Warm Winter Wishes -- for QKR Stampede

It's Friday!  It's the first Friday of 2018!  It's the first challenge of 2018 at QKR Stampede Challenge Blog.  Starting today, the challenges are always Anything Goes.  Every week -- Anything Goes.  How fun is that!!???!?

I can't help but think "winter".  It's -19 degrees Fahrenheit with windchills of -45 degrees right now here in NW Wisconsin.  With that in mind, I made this winter themed card for today's challenge:

This card uses Winter Set of 4 digi stamps (ES-digi35001), colored with Copic markers.  This is just one of the 4 beautiful images in this set of 4 from the Winter Set. The sentiment is computer generated.

I hope you can join us this week at QKR Stampede for our Anything Goes Challenge.  We've got great prizes (like this awesome digi!) and I'd love to see what you make!

A Touch of Gold -- for QKR Stampede

I'd like to take a moment to thank all the Veterans that have served our country as you are honored officially today, and again tomorrow, on the traditional day.  This country owes our freedom to you!

It's Friday, and time for another challenge at QKR Stampede Challenge Blog. This week's optional theme is "A Touch of Gold", or you can enter anything you'd like.

I used QKR Stampede's Acorn Accent digi on this (Q-digi19403), and the sentiment is "Large Thanks" (ES-digi4402).  The papers, also digital, are by BoBunny, and were purchased at Snap Click Supply.  The touch of gold is added with a piece of gold foil paper cut out with a Paper Wishes die.  The crinkle ribbon is from my stash.

I hope you can join us this week at QKR Stampede for our optional "A Touch of Gold" challenge.  We have great digi prizes you can win, and I'd love to see what you make!!

Hold Fast to Dreams! for MHKDesigns

Hello, my friends.  Today is a very big day for me!  Not only am I on the MHKDesigns blog, which is always a treat, but I'm also heading back to work after being away for 5 months.  I had 4 months of chemo and a month to recover.  Now, it's time to return to the people and the job that I love.  My heart is ready, and I hope my body is, too.

Langston Hughes said, "Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly."  It has taken much courage to keep my dreams alive some days this winter, and it has taken support from many incredible friends and family.  I thought of those people when I made this card, using MHKDesigns Birdcage Silhouettes.

Both the printed birdcage and the Langston Hughes quote are part of the Birdcage Silhouettes digital stamp set.  I found the birdcage charm in my stash, and just had to use it!  Designer papers on this card are also from MHKDesigns.  They are the Get Well Flowers digital papers

MHKDesigns products used:

Have you entered this month's MHKDesigns challenge yet?  There's still plenty of time.  It's Anything Goes, if you use an MHKDesigns image, or there's an inspiration picture board if you choose to use something else (or need a little inspiration).  Please join in!  I'd love to see what you make, and you have a chance to win some great MHKDesigns digis!  Yea!  Please join in on the MHKDesigners & Friends Facebook Group, too, for more inspiration,  fun, and news.

Find the Beauty in Small Things -- for MHKDesigns

Hello, crafty friends!  Happy Tuesday!  I am sharing on the MHKDesigns blog today.  I have a card that I really, really like!  I want to show you how it turned out:

I created this card using the MHKDesigns Beauty Digital Stamp Set.   Aren't those delicate flowers exquisite?

I colored the flower from the MHKDesigns Beauty digital set with Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor Pencils.  I printed my image on smooth card stock, so I wanted a very creamy based pencil.  The sentiment is also from the MHKDesigns Beauty set

Papers for this card, also from MHKDesigns,  are the new Rosy Posy digital paper set.  They are a little touch of Springtime!

The card was created using some cutting dies from Craftin' Desert Divas and Paper Wishes (sentiment die).  The pearl bling was from my stash, and the ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM.   I used a We R Memory Keepers scallop corner chomper on this card also.

Have you entered this month's MHKDesigns challenge yet?  It's Anything Goes if you use an MHKDesigns image.  Pick out your favorite, make a project, and link up with us!  We have great prizes and I'd love to see what you make!  Make sure to visit the MHKDesigns blog often for great inspiration from Mynn and her talented design team and guest designers!  Don't forget about the MHKDesigners & Friends Facebook Group for even more inspiration, news, and friendship.  Then, there is the MHKDesign newsletter.  Sign up for it, also!  You won't want to miss the discounts!

A Llama Love -- for Imagine That! Digistamp

Greetings, fellow crafters!  It's been a bit over a week since my last chemo treatment, and I'm beginning to feel a bit more human again.  I'm not sure which is nastier -- the cancer or the chemo -- but they both knock my socks off, I can tell you that.

I'm posting a bit of Thursday inspiration today at Imagine That! Digistamp.  Our anniversary is December.  Since it was a couple short days after chemo, it was very quiet this year.  I did, however, make my wonderful husband a card for the occasion...

Love that llama!  It's from Imagine That! Digistamp, Llama Love digital stamp set.  I colored the llama with Copic markers, giving him rosy cheeks, as it is December, and it IS cold!  The sentiments are both computer generated onto digital papers from Imagine That! Digistamp. These are Bella's Beauties Soft Florals digi papers.

I hope you visit the Imagine That! Digistamp blog often, as there's tons of great inspiration and news to be found there.  There's also a Christmas challenge going on right now at the Imagine That! Creative Playground.  You have until January 6 to link up a project.  And, there's a great Imagine That! Digistamp Facebook group to check out, too!

Porcupine Wishes -- for Imagine That! Digis by Kris

From guest designer to design team member.  Woohoo!  I'm now on the Imagine That! Digis by Kris design team, and I couldn't be more excited!  Today is my first official post as a DT member.  Yes!

My husband's birthday is just around the corner, so I thought it was time to get a card made for him.  Since he's a nature lover, I thought this Birthday Porcupine, and it's 'sharp' sentiment would be perfect!

I colored the Birthday Porcupine with Copic markers.  I used a couple bright, fun papers from the Birthday Bubbles digi paper set. I thought those pink heart bubbles were just too cute!

I had so much fun making the first card that I made a second one.  This uses a pre-colored image and 2 different papers from the Birthday Bubbles collection.

Both of the sentiments on these cards come with the Birthday Porcupine set.

Want some awesome Imagine That! Digis by Kris goodness for yourself?  Here's a discount code for you!

I'd like to enter these cards in the following challenges:

Trick or Treat! for MHKDesigns

Happy Wednesday, crafty friends!  I'm posting today for MHKDesigns.  This is my first individual post on the MHKDesigns blog, and I have a fun, fun card to share!

Using the versatile "I've Been Framed" digital stamps set, and the Fabulously Fall digital papers, both from MHKDesigns, of course, I created this:

I used the Tree Frame from the "I've Been Framed" set, and  printed it on one of the Fabulously Fall digital papers.  The 'Trick or Treat!' sentiment is from the MHKDesigns Halloween Party digital stamp set.

The spider web die was cut out with a die from Hot Off the Press, and placed on another digital paper from the Fabulously Fall  Digital Paper Collection.

Enamel stars are from Close To My Heart.  I used a We R Memory Keepers corner chomper on some of the edges.

Come back often to see what the other fabulous designers at MHKDesigns are up to.  You won't be disappointed!  There's one week left for the current challenge, then another starting soon.

Oh Happy Day! Guest Designing for The Outlawz

I have the pleasure of guest designing again this week at The Outlawz Twisted Thursday challenge. This week, the twist is 'Favorite Color'.

Our sponsor is PPinky Dolls Stamps.

I used the digi, 'Love is in the Air' to create this:

I colored 'Love is in the Air' with Copic markers, using my favorite color of blue.  Bluebirds are my favorite backyard bird, and these remind me of the bluebirds I see (they're back!!).

I used 2 sizes of a Spellbinders die to cut out and back the image.  Papers for this card are from Close To My Heart.  The blue ribbon (favorite color) is by Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I used my handy We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper on the card base.
